'''Body Type:''' Undoubtedly a product of spending many a summer climbing the cliffs of Costa del Sol and diving into the clear waters, Kitaline has a very toned physique with most of her strength located in her lower body. However, her proportions seem almost unequal at first glance: she has a small bust, slender arms, and a svelte core paired with strong, powerful legs and buttocks. When she first began her training as a Monk, her peers snickered at her “scrawny” arms, but they were soon put in their place by her devastating Dragon Kick. This physical "incongruity" was of no consequence to her tutors in the Stillglade Fane.

Anyone who knows her well enough has remarked that there are really two Kitalines: one who is wild and winsome, and one who is reserved and contemplative. While she is usually the first to jump on board for a trip to go cliff diving, Auroch tagging or pub hopping, her true passions lie in her solitary hobbies such as the culinary arts, ornamental goldsmithing, and studying the myriad cultures of the Eorzean people. This stark contrast between her two competing personalities often prompts her friends, when calling by Linkshell with an offer to hang out, to ask her “So which Kit am I talking to right now?” She always responds with, "The fun one, who else?" and her friends can usually determine whether she is absorbed in a hobby by the distracted tone of her voice.

Baderon’s words bounced around in my mind like an echo but instead of fading away the words seemed to ring louder with each reverberation. Just by looking at the old salt you wouldn’t think he was capable of coming up with a poetic metaphor like that, but sometimes people have a way of surprising you. Maybe he sticks that gargantuan nose of his into an old book when he isn’t busy shuffling green adventurers on to their next menial task; maybe it was just a lyric he picked up from a bard passing through the Drowning Wench; maybe the man just had a way with words no matter how poorly he pronounced them. But as surprising as I found the old barkeep’s silver tongue, I was even more astonished at how he seemed to unwittingly describe my current situation without being privy to any of the details.

Several days ago, I had washed up on the shore near Costa del Sol and a fisherman named Yzpiro Gapiro had found me lying semi-conscious on a bed of seashells and beached Aurelia corpses. He pulled me into the shade, kept me hydrated by squeezing fresh oranges into my mouth and stayed with me until I finally became lucid. He asked me if I had been shipwrecked and if there were other potential survivors that needed to be tended to. I replied that – to my knowledge – I had not been traveling by ship and that he was unlikely to find anyone else on the beach but me. He then inquired as to what I was doing lying face down in the sand and I felt rather ashamed that I didn’t have an answer. Truth be told, I didn’t know much more than my name at that point. He gave a hearty laugh at my puzzled expression and suggested that I had had too much ale the night before and that I wasn’t the first youngster he had helped find their way back home after a raucous party. Unable to confirm or deny his conjecture, I chuckled nervously and decided to follow him back to his shack to “sober up and dry off.”

I had desperately hoped Yzpiro would be proven right, that little by little fragments of a wild night would come flooding back to my memory and I would suddenly remember what the hells I was doing in Costa del Sol. I had had all the telltale signs of having consumed too much drink: a pounding in my temples, a painful sensitivity to light, an unexplained tattoo that I have no recollection of acquiring… Everything seemed to indicate that Yzpiro’s suggestion was true, yet the more I waited on my memories to return the more I suspected that they would never come. I felt like I was sitting in the surf waiting for a message in a bottle that may not even exist. My ruminations on my past were fruitless, yielding no result other than frustration and wasted time. Whenever I closed my eyes and attempted to envision anything before waking up on the sands of La Noscea all I could see was a dark silhouette surrounded by a brilliant white light. Indiscernible shadows and a radiant glare, that was all. It was like…well…it was like trying to watch a seagull flying against the sun…

Up until the moment I heard Baderon use that expression, I had been listening to his elegies and praises of the so-called “Warriors o’ Light” with casual indifference. I hadn’t come to be lectured on the Grand Alliance’s military exploits; I came to see if he could find me a job that offered enough gil to repay Yzpiro for aiding me during my convalescence. Kitaline's Diary (Post Dalamud)

“It was like trying to watch a seagull flying in front of the sun…”

Other Notes

I'm new to RP, but this seemed like something I would really enjoy! I'm on the Excalibur server at the moment, but will probably make a move after launch. Además de inglés, hablo español colombiano. Je parle un peu de français aussi.
