Though his build is nothing but average for an Elezen man, he keeps himself fit and athletic through daily exercise and a mostly proper diet. His posture is generally poor, and he can be found slouching most of the time when he is not making a conscious effort to keep a proper stance. Gaspard is remarkably pale, with hair of a silvery shade of platinum blonde, cut at a medium length and often messy and untamed in spite of his best efforts. A braid or two often adorn the right side of his head, according to his whim. His porcelain skin can occasionally be reddened by light sunburns on the most exposed areas of the body. His eyes are of a striking, lush shade of green, and his lips are large and somewhat full. His nose is straight and proportionate in relation to his long, angular face. Scars & Markings. A wide, deep scar across his upper back, seemingly left by an ugly sword wound. It appears to be very old. Voice. Gaspard's voice is baritonal, ranging towards the lower end. It can be described as warm and husky. The volume of his speech is usually rather quiet, and rarely raises above room volume. His accent is rather unremarkable and it's commonly heard across the Shroud. It tends to sound slightly different on the few rare occasions when Gaspard loses his temper, becoming more drawled. Clothing. Gaspard's wardrobe is fairly small in terms of amount and variety, and it is not rare for him to own multiple pieces of the same articles of clothing. Because of this, appearances may suggest that he constantly keeps the same clothes on, while in reality he tries his best to wear a fresh set of clothes every day, even when travelling. Though not completely unconcerned with fashion, he puts no effort in following trends and will usually pick practicality over looks. He does not mind his attires being form-fitting, granted that they still retain a certain amount of flexibility and allow freedom of movement. Being particularly sensitive to cold temperatures, it is common to see him wear long sleeves even on a warm day. He prefers wearing dark, warm colors, and browns above all- though he does not mind wearing cooler and lighter shades, especially dark tints of green and blue. Upon first impression, Gaspard might be described as reserved and soft. If he has just met somebody or is not familiar around them, he will express his thoughts in a mostly neutral way and act coyly... Or simply be quiet. Once the ice is broken, he will share more about himself and speak his mind without reserve. If met with a friendly behavior, he will usually warm up very quickly and might start asking too many questions. When acting natural, his manners can regrettably be somewhat poor. A child at heart, Gaspard is curious to a fault and overly-imaginative, often assuming people or things to be more interesting, deep and mysterious than they really are. He is easy to please, entertain, and sway. If curiosity truly gets the best of him, he can throw all caution to the wind and unwittingly get himself into serious danger - nearly costing him his life on a handful of occasions. He aims to please, and is ultimately a nurturer who cares deeply for the well-being of those around him. He has a hard time saying no, hates being at the center of attention, and does his best to avoid conflict - though he might occasionally act confrontational and speak too bluntly, if something rubs him the wrong way or strikes a nerve. He is oblivious to flirting and seduction in a nigh hopeless way, and will likely mistake any attempt for weird friendliness, not reading between the lines. He has been known for missing the most obvious of hints when they are thrown at him. If there is any chance of it going over his head, it will. The only way to get it through his thick skull is to be extremely clear and direct - though that approach might actually shake him, as his partner Primrose found out when she confessed. Although Gaspard thinks very poorly of himself, he tries to hide this as much as he can, not liking to bare his weaknesses. He is really bad at doing so, and his insecurity can be glaringly obvious to the people around him. Likes Chocobos. He loves any and all of these creatures, and his own pet Lennard in particular. He has also grown quite fond of his partner's bird, Spriggan. Rearing and tending to chocobos for a living is one of his dream jobs. Music. Though he has never learned how to play instruments or sing properly, he enjoys spectating the performances of others and will not miss any opportunity to listen. Travel. Struck by an incurable wanderlust and afflicted with boundless curiosity, he enjoys drifting from land to land according to whim and opportunity. He loves seeing new places, exploring hidden corners of the ones he has already visited, and hopes that one day the Twelve will grant him the chance to visit distant or inaccessible places such as Meracydia or the New World. Dislikes Cruelty. People who inflict pain upon others gratuitously are among the things Gaspard dislikes the most. Vilekin. Creepy and definitely crawly. Gaspard would not miss the many creatures that qualify as vilekin at all, if they were to suddenly become extinct. Spicy foods. Gaspard cannot stand very spicy flavours. Cold.
