History

Z'koa was born into a tribe but holds no memories of it. By the time she turned three, her mother bore twins that were not the nuhn's, and subsequently, all four of them left to reunite with the newborns' actual father. Z'koa had an enjoyable childhood until the age of six, when her mother was killed in a beastman raid and her brother, Xihra, became lost in the ensuing chaos. For the next six cycles, they frequently travelled, their father in search of work and information regarding Xihra. Z'koa herself spent a large portion of time assisting in the care of her frail sister, Lihrit. Around the age of twelve, their father was killed on a job, leaving Z'koa and Lihrit in the care of a few friends within Ul'dah, along with a small fortune to support themselves. Fate, being an unforgiving mistress, eventually saw to the depletion of this support, driving Z'koa to steal from the wealthier merchants for survival. Even this was not enough, and by the time Z'koa was halfway through her twentith namesday, she found herself alone; Lihrit's poor health failed to carry her any longer.

Without anything left to lose, Z'koa resumed searching for her long-lost sibling while dodging the Ul'dahn guard. It was six moons after losing her sister that she ran into Ainle Goldpaw, who then helped get her out of theiving to live. He even ultimately aided her in aquiring her current job as the full-time cook for the 81st Foreign Levy of the Maelstrom. During that time, she came to learn that Ainle was, in fact, the little half-brother she'd spent so many cycles searching for.
