Kitaline is the sixth child and only daughter of Australe Eversong, a privateer under the employ of the Trade Sails in Limsa Lominsa. She, like all her brother before her, grew up on the high seas of Eorzea and frequently shadowed her father on his voyages under the Admiral’s flag. Her father carried her to the far reaches of the realm: the endless, gilded deserts of Thanalan, the imposing forests of the Black Shroud,  the glories of Ala Mhigo before its fall, all of which captivated her from a young age. During the few weeks of year that she remained landside, she stayed with her mother and assisted her in her job as a culinarian at the Bismarck. In her free time, she hung out with her closest friends at their favorite haunt: Hawker's Ally.

When Kitaline became the proper age to dedicate herself to a craft, it was suspected that she would either follow in the footsteps of her mother and become a culinarian or formally join the Trade Sails like her father. Australe had successfully recruited her brothers into a life of boat-building and freight-shipping, but Kitaline dreamed of something more. She wanted to travel abroad and live in the city-states she had visited in her youth and study their Disciplines of War and Magic. So at twenty-one years of age, she boarded an airship with naught but the clothes on her back and began her pursuit.

She arrived first in Gridania and spent the next 2 years in the Stillglade Fane practicing the art of Conjury. She quickly established herself as a capable healer and was always willing to help fledgling adventurers with her curative magicks. During this time the Red Otters kept a watchful eye on her, but she continually rejected their offers to join their ranks under the pretense that she had no intentions of staying in Gridania long enough to be of any use to them. When the timing felt right, Kitaline packed up her belongings and once against set out for a new home.

Appearance

Height: 5 fulms, 5 ilms

Weight: 139 ponz

Body Type: Undoubtedly a product of spending many a summer climbing the cliffs of Costa del Sol and diving into the clear waters, Kitaline has a very toned physique with most of her strength located in her lower body. However, her proportions seem almost unequal at first glance: she has a small bust, slender arms, and a svelte core paired with strong, powerful legs and buttocks. When she first began her training as a Monk, her peers snickered at her “scrawny” arms, but they were soon put in their place by her devastating Dragon Kick. This physical "incongruity" was of no consequence to her tutors in the Stillglade Fane.

Hair: Kitaline’s short red hair is dyed blonde at the tips and partially pulled into a braid in the back.

Eyes: Sea green.

Skin/Scars: In spite of a youth spent beneath the hot sun of the la Noscean shore, Kitaline has a very fair complexion. She has no visible scars, but bears a diamond-shaped tattoo on her upper back.

Personality

Anyone who knows her well enough has remarked that there are really two Kitalines: one who is wild and winsome, and one who is reserved and contemplative. While she is usually the first to jump on board for a trip to go cliff diving, Auroch tagging or pub hopping, her true passions lie in her solitary hobbies such as the culinary arts, ornamental goldsmithing, and studying the myriad cultures of the Eorzean people. This stark contrast between her two competing personalities often prompts her friends, when calling by Linkshell with an offer to hang out, to ask her “So which Kit am I talking to right now?” She always responds with, "The fun one, who else?" and her friends can usually determine whether she is absorbed in a hobby by the distracted tone of her voice.

Combat Ability

Kitaline is a jack-of-all-trades, master of only one. While equally proficient in hand-to-hand combat and swords, she truly shines in the role of healer. She has studied the arts of Conjury during her sojourn in Gridania and looks forward to learning the way of the rumored Scholar.
