Character

♦ General

A devout hedonist by philosophy, yet dutifully bound to his role as a knight and dragoon of Ishgard. The man eternally strives, and struggles, to maintain a balance between personal fulfillment and honoring the expectations placed upon him by family, kinsman, and country. All while trying to carve his own path through life, rather then simply, or blindly, follow in the footsteps of his forefathers. Much as the calamity brought great change to the lands and nations of Eorzea. So too did it serve to test more then just his steel when he left everything behind to travel the vast landscapes of a world previously unknown to him.

Now however, it seems fate intends to test him. After so many years spent as a tradesman, and redirecting the flow of trade and wealth back to the people of Ishgard it's the news of his father's death that calls him home. As heir to the family name, it now falls upon his shoulders to take up the lance and mantle of patriarch and serve his country as one of it's many defenders. Though aspirations are not so easily cast into the wind, and what the serpentine sigil of his banner shall come to stand for has yet to be determined.

♦ Appearance

♦ Behaviour

The Trader is at his core a neutral party in almost all matters, a natural aspect of his personality that has served him quite well when it came to doing business with individuals that lived upon various rungs of the social and economic ladders. He was a gentleman, humble and respectful out of a natural desire rather then to grease the palms and stroke the ego's of those he had dealings with. Even his charms were kept polite and mindful, more of a source of entertainment then the tool of a flatterer and the merchants silver tongue was often used in poetry and philosophy instead of dishonesty. He wore his 'moral compass' as an aristocrat would a pocket watch, a compliment to his person and kept mainly to himself so that the customs, expectations, and opinions of others could be viewed and honored in the same light he wished to be given to his own. He was an oddity, a rare thing given what often came as the 'standard' in the places he resided and for those who meet him it's often positive things that come off their lips when he's absent and for that he was content.

Friends

Feron Whisperwind - Having found the keeper at the wrong end of a brass blades 'street interrogation' and witness to the rogue's skill at getting himself out of trouble. The man would have been a fool to not employ him as one of his 'fangs', yet where he expected just another street urchin, he was instead met with a heart not unlike his own. Though Feron's moral compass is a bit more set in it's ways then Levinth's, he still finds the cats company pleasant and his views refreshing. Such is why when a stealthy job needs to be done right, or the morality of a task is brought into question, the lancer will seek him out first.

Elyna Stratta -

Acquaintances

Belladonna Angelimuiex - Having mistaken her for Elyna at first glance, the two simply began to carry a conversation of exchanged curiosities. She, interested in his business, and he, interested in her work as a caravan guard. While he hopes that it never comes down to being in need of her services personally, the man finds her company rather pleasant. Nor would he much oppose to crossing paths with her again in the future.

A'zireena Treon -

Kian Daas - A rather odd individual in the lancers eyes, specially given how they came to exchange greetings and went on to 'tolerate' each others company for quite a few hours within the packed interior of the quicksand. Though, even stranger was the fact that neither managed to bring out any hostility n the other despite their subtle jabs, and back and forth banter. In the end, the noble hopes the other will come to indulge in his company again, if only so they can play the conversational game all over again.
