Suen the Pilgrim, Clumsy Suen, Left-handed Suen, Suen the Misfit, Awkward Suen, Suen Butterfingers... All nicknames the mousy-looking girl got almost instantaneously handed by her family and kin for the terrible string of bad luck that constantly lurks after her, and her almost otherworldly ability to screw things up in the most dire situations.
She is a Keeper of the Moon Mi'qote hailing from the Twelveswood, coming from a clan living on the outskirts of Gridania in the North Shroud.
Often oblivious of everything by nature, Suen is the perfect example of the scatterbrain individual, often letting her thoughts run wild in all directions.
Rather small in size even for a mi'qote and frail in stature, Suen still developed the necessary stamina to wander the roads everyday. She tends to exhibit a mousy, nerdy and tomboyish appearance. Her hair is taupe, as well as her eyes, with slight, light amber tones, and her pale complexion is typical of the Keepers of the Moon. Suen's rather delicate features are often hidden behind dust, dirt or soot, and her hair most of the time disheveled and running wild. Her innocent appearance has often fooled people into supporting her in shady dealings until it was too late to back away.
Scars & Markings: None directly noticeable except a small and circular ethereal mark between her shoulder blades: its shape is not without reminding advanced circuitry. Her skin is generally pretty flawless, when clean. A few cuts and marks hard to define can be found all around her hands, which are probably the product of her inability to use her hands without hurting herself in the process for most manual labor. She also has a few cute freckles on her cheeks.
Voice: Suen speaks with a deep Gridanian accent that can also show hints of Mi'qote Keeper tongue. Her voice tends to be somewhat high-pitched, but not crystal clear, rather hoarse. Overall, the opposite of the aristocratic type.
Clothing: Suen is often seen wearing simple, ample, yet sturdy clothes either cut for workshops, or travel and woods. Overall, it often gives her a rather rugged, roguish aspect that she arbors with pride.

Suen is originally a good-natured, at times spirited, girl, that enjoys satisfying her curiosity, while fleeing her responsibilities. Having been raised in the Twelveswood with the botanists of the Gridanian society, she cares very little for luxuries or mannerisms. However, she can be infinitely nosy and excited over anything, which coupled with her scatterbrain nature tends to make her behavior rather unpredictable.
In spite of her nerdy ability to get overexcited at the mention of new horizons, obscure lore, and technology (especially Garlean and, cream of the cream, Allagan), Suen shares the solitary nature of her kin with great zeal, often gone and wandering around by herself. She is often found lost in her thoughts, or outright living in her own world, and it can get pretty difficult to snap her out of her bubble. Her clear lack of realism or even sense of danger can make her engage into incredibly risky situations that no sane person would consider even vaguely safe to do, which can lead her into pretty upside-down situations.
Due to her awful clumsiness, she is for most people a walking danger that should be kept away. In direct relation to that, she lacks of self-confidence and often tends to put herself down, preferring heavily to rely on others to take important decisions, but she will otherwise do whatever she wants most of the time and can actually prove to be very confrontational when she doesn't want to deal with something specific.
In more recent times Suen has started to embrace a very autonomous and free lifestyle as well as a punk, rebellious attitude, and tends to loath conformism and authority. She is pretty pragmatically disillusioned with any form of higher ethics and honour - concepts she finds utterly naive, hypocrite, self-deceiving and stupid - and she tends to put the emphasis on her direct entourage as well as her own well being.

Under her propensity for the worst to happen and her utterly clumsy manners, Suen hides a keen, composed and cunning mind: she is way smarter than she lets it appear. Left alone, she remains rather resourceful and can get as crafty as foxes get, either to survive or in pursuit of her goals when fate has not conspired against her. Her pragmatic gridanian upbringing in the woods taught her to do with very little and simple things, and she rarely requires a lot for subsistence, used to take from nature what nature gives. However, she can sometimes get lost on matters of survival in foreign, alien looking lands.
Like most of her kin, she inherited of some of their traits, like powerful legs, ears and smell, although certainly not in an order of magnitude similar to those shown by the hunters of the family. Suen was not especially favored among her kin for her martial or hunting prowess. While not outright weak, she remains a frail individual. She often tends to rely heavily on her magical perception rather than her physical senses.
Suen's primary weakness consists in a disastrous streak of bad luck often leading her into an endless catastrophe and unexpected shifts of situations, from the daily blunders that can include butter fingers or bruises to the rarer but nonetheless impressive backfires that afflict the few spells she can be called to cast.
Suen is currently learning to use conjury again against her better judgement, and has taken a serious knack for machinistry and firearms, for which she shows a strong affinity despite her clumsiness. She has elementary knowledge in botany - especially in her native land - and is somewhat well read.
Born in the Twelveswood and enjoying a life in the outskirts of Gridania, expected to follow the long standing tradition of botanists in her family, Suen chose instead to grow a certain fondness for everything exotic, new, or just outright spooky, as her propensity to scare her siblings clearly showed.
In spite of her affliction that appears to jinx everything she does, it never seemed to bother the Elementals of the Twelveswood, that wholeheartedly embraced her as she showed strong natural bonds with the wood and the wilderness. She was often seen to spend her time perched on trees, leading some to call her various names like the 'tree-hugging lass'.
It was not really surprising to see her assigned to conjuring circles, but her somewhat random inability to learn and properly cast spells without collateral damage soon made people rethink twice their decision to let her deal with aetherial powers. Her natural gift of Hearer pushed her not to cling too much to her conjury circles and instead to go wander in the woods, sometimes trying to sneak on padjals and listening to their stories.
Suen's coming of age saw the apparition of two life-changing events: her refusal to play the family game with a wandering male, and a certain incident involving a Magitek Reaper near the brand new Castrum Oriens which leaded her to flee the Shroud, feeling like a misfit and unwilling to face her obligations.
While she got without news from her family for a few years, trying to survive and leading a carefree life on the road, Suen never tried to reach them out, the same way she was too scared to get back to her native village.
Suen is now settled in Ul'dah against her will, being part of a mercenary company based in the Goblet. Being involved directly in their intrigues and facing the same enemies, she has no choice but to face the same challenges that they all do and is still trying to adapt to her new lifestyle.
Suen recently got involved in her first operations as part of that group, and no matter how exciting, they also proved very taxing for her.

Aeon
Laid-back Leon. The hammock guy. Another Keeper like me but he hails from Ishgard. He was picked up as an orphan to be trained as a Dragoon or something like that. He is cool-headed and fun, and quite nice with everyone. I like teasing him about everything - especially hammocks - and he does the same in return, but my skills are way better obviously. He has a knack for allagan stuff so he's fine in my book. I guess he's cute and fluffy but I feel there is more under the cracks than it seems though, probably a heavy past. I really want to know, that looks like quite the story with lots of crunchy details.
Aeon
Aurou is Leon's girlfriend. She is another Keeper, but from Sharlayan. She is a trained conjurer and maybe she can actually be a better teacher than those pompous windbags of Stillglade Fane? Aurou is a quiet and nice girl - way too nice - and she likes making everyone happy. Someday it will bite her back in the ass, and I will find it sad. I guess she's a good confident. She sure can't really get every single one of my issues, but at least she is compassionate. Yeah. I feel I can talk to her a bit more freely.

Raih... She hails from the Twelveswood as well and gave the middle finger to Gridania like I did, loves spooky tales and is basically freedom incarnate. A true skypirate in spirit, too bad she left her former job though. We share some plans and dreams together, and I really hope they will take off someday... And well, she is cute. Really cute. She has been the only thing on my mind the past few months, but I'm not really sure I stand a chance. I mean, can't blame her... Whatever. I'm starting to get all rubbish. Send help! Bleh...

Lise is a cute silly Xaela, from clan Avagnar, who plays detective. She is pretty bad at everything and tries to overcompensate, but I actually think she has talents and lacks of self confidence. I love her colourful imagination and happy go lucky mood. I don't always get it, but her crazy and overblown antics are pretty fun. I also think she hides stuff (heavy past for a change? Nobody?). Ah and yes, she kinda lives in my room now. I guess she really is desperate - I mean, homeless.
Aeon
Ferus is a cold, no-nonsense grumpy Mighan bastard. He used to belittle me at the first occasion and it was quite fucking annoying to speak frankly, but his grumpy and cynical side is fun and his veteran stories actually entertaining. He has always been ready to help me without any questions though, and maybe he might have accepted me as part of the group since I killed someone. Yeaaah, exactly, speak of a seal of approval...
Aeon
Kairen is another member of Aeon, an she has a twisted love affair with Ferus. That's so fucking weird. I mean, he could almost be her dad, she was enlisted under garleans right, and the guy is a Mighan? I guess love truly knows no bound... Ah well she saved me once and I think I really should get to know her better.
Aeon
I don't know much about Lute other than she is part of the Maelstrom as a liaison officer, that she is rich, and that she came with Kairen to save me from assholes without asking any questions.
Aeon
Oyungujin is the newest Aeon member. He is like... very secretive and not very talkative, and hard to approach. He seems to seep a certain amount of dark mystery, and what do you think? Of course I want to know more now. I smell a shady, spooky past.
Aeon
Khuja'sae is the son of an intricate Keeper family. To be honest they are all a little crazy, and some of them are actually mortal enemies. Khu though... well he's a young boy but already lost an eye and gets into a lot of stupid shite constantly (I think he is actually looking for it sometimes). And also, he looks to me pretty whimsical and childish at times, but is a nice guy I suppose.
Aeon
Rei'li is Leon's brother. He's cool and affable enough, but he has weird, sudden, lunatic displays of affections. It should be flattering but I think it just creeps me out. Or the bugger is just playing with my nerves.
Aeon
Leilani is our little pink bard and she's very young. You would have to be inhuman not to like her. How do they all say again? She's so precious. Right. Sounds definitely fitting.
Aeon
I don't know where that hyur comes from, but I wasn't able to stand her arrogant and condescending guts. And her lewd comments. And I think she did it on purpose, which is kinda infuriating... And yet she seems to have stopped that. She actually seems deeper than she looks and has interesting views on geopolitics and stuff. I know I know. Not judging books by their covers! Not that makes me like her or anything though.

I met that bastard in Lemieux' den. He sure does his best to piss everyone he meets and managed to make Lemieux actually come to hands with him. I think both share a deep, ambiguous business-friendly relationship. I sure can't stand the guy though. I'll give you kitties, fancypants asshole. Conveniently forgets about all his bravado when you suddenly mention Magitek. Feh. Seriously though, that guy sounds equally dangerous. Stay out of any business with him lass, if possible.
Lemieux Skytrade
That guy runs a privateer and trading air company. More like yet another skypirate den, you mean... Well anyway, he's pretty cool and plays the skypirate captain very well. He is brilliant at storytelling, for sure. And the exciting kind of stories, no less. I think he's dangerous though. Don't mess with him lass.
Bloodhawks
Culann is a dashing ishgardian blacksmith (I know right?) that happens to work on airships and Magitek now, which is super interesting. I think we should work together on stuff, or share things or whatever. Maybe I can learn the tricks of the trade from him and stop looking like an idiot when I hand awkwardly blank resumes...
Jackal & Hide
That nice looking Keeper guy is an acquaintance of Raih. I met him a few times and since he also shares the same homeland, and well I guess it's already something! I quite liked talking about all those creepy tales on the primal Odin with him. I wouldn't mind seeing him again.
Dufresne Bellworks
Brave is a cool and considerate Hellsguard! She used to work for the company and took care of the Airship maintenance. Maybe I should try to pay her a visit at her new place. They do manufactory stuff.
RareX
Ki'lari... Well she and her group abducted me and nearly tortured me. They took me for someone else actually. I still have a hard time forgiving her for that (the fear of my life...), but i'm starting to see, I guess, that she deeply cares about her little Keeper group. She has a strong sense of kin, granted. She turned very caring after that incident. I'm still not forgetting that shite though.
Trident
Sami is the cute daughter of Yashaix, and proved to have quite a different personality. I suppose I immediately got along her easy going nature. We promised to see each other again, 'cause damn, those miq'abobs are tasteful.
Aethereal Warriors
Paul caught me in Uld'ah when I got the attention of the authorities by sneaking into the area around Castrum Meridianum. Fortunately not really interested in taking me to the Blades, he offered me that I do some investigative work for him instead, as bait. Fucking blackmail, but fair enough I guess. Can't believe I did that though.
Mysterium
Kerin is a senior conjurer from Stillglade Fane. Apparently she knows me and remembers me from my early classes in conjury and my childhood frolicking behind padjals. Bugger. She seemed considerate enough though. I'm still not sure if I should reach her out again now that I kinda made up with Gridania.

- ■ "How did that stupid mi'qote got into possession of that reaper? I am not really sure how that shit did ever happen to begin with... We stumbled on her, spying on us... Then the decurion slipped on something and all hell got loose. The last thing I saw was her, sitting on the reaper, and i'm not even sure she was more in control than us... Kind of embarrassing, when you think about it." An anonymous garlean evocatus

Stances on RP: Usually 'heavy' kind of RP, with emphasis on character development and growth. Modest characters, lasting and creative plots. I absolutely refuse to deal with overpowered types of characters, or unrealistic characters. I am not okay with breaking the lore. I will also always try to adapt to my RP partners specific styles and needs in any case!
Hooks and relationships: Totally open to any idea that can provide potential quality RP with my character. If you feel that my character profile can provide a hook for a story you have in mind, don't hesitate to reach me out to see what can be done! I am also definitely open for family ties, or background/business connections between characters. Suen is mostly designed as a supporting character, even if she has her own story.
RP combat and injuries: Open for most systems as long as they make sense to me. I can roll random dices or settle it through a fully organic RP exchange without any other tool, or a combination of both. As long as both players are conscious of the limitations and strengths of their characters, it should flesh out pretty good situations. As I am a strong supporter of dealing with the consequences of every actions our characters do, I will go by almost anything that can happen (except when true death, or other very dire things have to happen).
