History
Hikaru was born into the Kayle tribe as K'Hikaru Tia, a first born to his mother. From an early age he spent a lot of his early years following the teachings of the tribe about the history of their ancestors. During these years he never doubted the teachings and he followed and obeyed them like many of the children around him. However at the age of 11 his feelings changed after one restless night where he claimed to have been told the teachings were false preachings. Hikaru challenge the teachings but made no mention to what he was told or what he based his challenges on. Due to the upraor he caused and his challenges of imperfection in the religious beliefs, him and his mother were banished from the tribe.
Even though word had got around of Hikaru's challenges, the leader of the small newly-formed tribe of V'erasse took pity and allowed him and his mother to form part of their tribe. During the first few years, Hikaru kept quiet about his past rantings in not to shame is mother. Many members of the tribe didn't trust him so he spent a lot of time on his own away from them. When he was 13, his brother V'Seto Tia was born. From the day he was born Hikaru spent a lot of time with his brother, helping his mother to look after him while shielding him from the testimonies from the tribes religious members. He would often clash with his mother on the way V'Seto was brought up which would sometimes lead to long periods where he would li=eave the tribes camp and not come home for days.
At the tender age of 18, Hikaru made a bid for the title of the tribes mumh and won the battle, gaining the name V'Hikaru Mumh. It was at this point other tribe members started to respect him within the tribe even though he was classed as an outsider as he wasn't born within the tribe. However on the first mating ritual, Hikaru had refused to mate with any of the female offered. Once again this caused calamity within the tribe. During this time, Hikaru once again disappeared for a number of days. During this disappearance, he met a Hyuran soldier, one of the many fighters employed by the city of Ul'dah to protect it from the beastmen and other fiends which roamed Thanalan. He found himself emotionally attracted to the young male soldier. They spent a single night together, engaged in talks about common thories and interested before parting ways the next day. On that day he returned to the camp and informed his mother and camp leaders of his decision to leave the camp and tribe and head for Ul'dah to save his mother and family any more embarrassment.
