Brash, Determined, Paranoid, Excitable, Aggressive, Attentive, Vain

Small Botanist here to punch. Abeodan is everything the opposite of the small, assumedly voiceless boy he was thought to be when he first turned up in Little Ala Mhigo with his mother Gelva, and his older brother Thorben. Still constantly watching, steadfast, on a situation, he's grown quite loud when he finds his voice, and he's grown a personality to match it. He feels all around capable of surpassing any wall he meets, and is all too eager to take the first obstacle down with his fists, reveling in the idea of violence and fighting despite the tenderness he shows around plants.

Also despite his love to plants and plantlike creatures, Abeodan has a not-so-mild bias against Beast Tribes and animals, these feelings extending somewhat less intensely to Miqo'te and Au Ra, as well as dragons. He won't hesitate to verbally abash anyone fitting the 'animal' mark in the area, and coupled with his pure adoration for violence, things can quickly escalate out of hand, given the right (or wrong) circumstances.

L I K E S ¦ Plant Life. -- Does it have leaves? Roots? A stem? Is it green? Does it have petals? Does it live off water and sunlight? Yes or no, Abeodan devotes his life to plant matter, and thoroughly loves all kinds. ¦ Plant-based Creatures. -- Even more than simply 'plants', his feelings escalate when the plant in question can move and mumble and thrive, like a tiny (or not so tiny) beast. Mandrakes, Morbols, Kidragoras, etc! He loves them all. ¦ Oranges. -- The best fruit. ¦ Fighting. -- The kid will hop dead on any chance for brutal fighting and bloodshed, given he isn't currently somewhere like the Sandsea (the guild house of the Riskbreakers and his self-proclaimed best friend), or his sickness isn't flaring up. If he can't participate himself, he'll watch. He adores it. ¦ Poison. -- Abeodan only recently started to use poison actively in his fighting, but he's been using it to protect his personal belongings since long before he left Little Ala Mhigo. The only thing more useful, he thinks, are plants themselves. ¦ Jewelry, gems. -- Growing up cut-off from all realms of wealth, his first experience with fine jewels fascinated him to a near-obsession, even though his poverty-stricken lifestyle doesn't quite support a luxury like this. Recent events have done little to scrub him of this. ¦ Pale colors. -- Pales, pastels. Its only recently that he's quit dying his hair a desaturated version of every color under the sun, and settled on a pastel purple. ¦ Small, Dark Areas. -- When he feels bad Abeodan will very often hide himself that would probably make anyone else extremely claustrophobic. They're also his first place to hide in the event of danger. His room stays dark, small, and cluttered, he fits easily into closets and cupboards, and he's even been known in the past to merely vanish in the shroud, escaping pursuers into a pre-dug hole or shallow tunnel. ¦ Magitek. -- Its cool, its bright, its shiny, it glows, it can shoot people. Sure, its Garlean. But in Ala Mhigo /everything/'s Garlean. Might as well utilize the technology freely, while its still an option. At least, that's the way he sees it.

D I S L I K E S ¦ Meat. -- Abeodan is a Vegan, through and through. This does little to help his current malnourished state. ¦ His Sickness. -- Falling ill by the plague passed around in Little Ala Mhigo upon his first year in being there, aged 10, Abeodan recovered, but has ever since carried an illness that wears on body and mind. He tires quickly, and finds he can't travel far, or fight for extended amounts of time. ¦ Animals/Beast Tribes. -- He has a few choice words that start at "disgusting" and branch off into much more impolite tables, his hatred for these two things extending only slightly less intensely to the animal-aspected Spoken of Eorzea (Miqo'te and Au Ra). ¦ Imprisonment. -- He's flat out terrified of this, actually. He's been to jail before once. He'll probably get himself killed before he ever goes back again. ¦ Alcohol. -- Tastes bad, muddles the mouth, and muddles the mind. He has enough troubles with things like speaking and focus as it is, and he certainly doesn't need anything that makes it any harder to get his body to work. ¦ Silence. -- Abeodan personally enjoys being quiet and listening, but areas that are entirely dead of sound distract and unsettle him. His childhood was filled with the noises of distance riots and machines, and a quiet place feels grave like, to him - much more like the desert caves of Thanlan's Ala Mhigan Refugees. If he needs to think or clear his head, he'll go to a crowded place, like a tavern or market. ¦ Talking. -- As an after effect of his upbringing back in Ala Mhiogo, Abeodan has severe problems with speech that can often render him entirely unintelligible. Even if he can understand himself perfectly well, he knows other's can't, and even if he can't quite see where they're coming from, he loathes the idea of speech, speaking usually only to defend himself or when conversationally necessary. ¦ Mor Dhona. -- When the Ala Mhigans sought refuge, they were cast out and stuck in place where they all got the plague. When lizard tailed dragon people sought refuge (granted, through a bunch of hyur posing as stand ins, but still), they were given a city. He hates the city almost as much as he hates them, and he'll voice it. ¦ Piercings/Scars/Deformities. -- Any marr on the body, no matter how small or large or prevalent, is viewed as ultimately disgusting. He won't touch, but he'll definitely laugh and scorn.

H A B I T S  &  S K I L L S Quirks/Vices ¦ Odd speech/trouble talking. -- Kid talks weird. ¦ Lying. -- Abeodan lies frequently and semi excessively. Despite being a terrible liar with a million tells, he usually seems to, oddly, get entirely away with it. This can probably be attributed however to the fact that nobody has a clue what he's saying. ¦ Touching his face. -- As this is one of the most prevalent tells for his lies, and he lies frequently, he's also touching his face frequently, most often poking at his cheek or stuffing finger joints between his teeth. ¦ Rambling. -- Usually in a mutter, while trying to re-explain himself in the most clearly defined way, Abeodan will talk in a circle of words, most times only muddling the meaning of his sentences even more. ¦ Fidgeting. -- Abeodan wears a set of random trinkets on his belt (old magitek, broken jewelry, etc) with which he very often toys and jingles. ¦ Tends to have more respect for Women than Men. This tends to the extreme, with a very certain 'anti men' undertone saturating all of it. Abilities/Skills ¦ Plants!. -- Runs a shop. Will grow anything, legal or not. ¦ Poisons. -- Herbal based. Frequently uses them in both fighting and material defense. ¦ Tracking. -- But not hunting...he can barely use a bow. ¦ Reading/Writing. -- Both in common and a couple other languages. His writing is awful, barely legible to anyone other than him, writing in an odd scrawl, lines uneven and filling every spare space with text, drawings and notes.

A P P E A R A N C E

¦ Body: Small. He easily looks to still be in his middle teens, and certainly doesn't look like a highlander. While he certainly has muscle, his body looks malnourished and almost frail. ¦ Skin: Very pale, and often hued with a nearly sickly pallor. Some days he looks better than others. ¦ Hair: Unkempt, uneven. At the moment he keeps it a light purple with the back cropped short and his bangs overly long. He seems to have cut it himself. ¦ Eyes: Also pale, not much color to them. The closest match for a term is a light grey-brown.

¦ Clothes: Abeodan loves decorative clothing. Fine cloth, fine tailoring, embroidary. He can't often afford it, but somehow manages a few outfits into his closet anyway, flaunting them whenever he can. He likes most dark shades mixed with light colors, cloaks, showing off skin, and red or purple tones. When he's not running around in what ornate clothes he's collected, however, he's in the strict opposite - tatters and thick, rough materials. Things that barely seem to hold themselves together, and speaks the truth about his poverty. Most often these are his work clothes. ¦ Jewelry: The boy is exteremy attracted to metal, gold, and gems, and will wear them whenever able, clattering around with several even tied together so that larger bangles, too big for him, will stay on his arms. He's not as partial to necklaces, but he enjoys those as well, though more often they wind up on his belt. ¦ Distinguishing Features: His size and brightly colored hair, and one bright gold tooth he got as a gift after he lost his. Also, his manner of speaking. ¦ Other: Presently, Abeodan is missing his left hand. This is not always notable, however, because he keeps it glamoured. But, as the glamoured hand doesn't exactly funtion, a keen eye would still be able to tell.

¦ Demeanor. Abeodan switches like a light from giving off the air of a quiet, watchful boy to a city rat brute, and it all depends on if he's talking. When he's quiet, it might even be easy to mistake him for a gentle sort, but nearly all other times he prickles with agression and distate, and a 'holier than thou' sort of view.

¦ Spirituality/Religion. Abeodan is not incredibly religious. His history in Ala Mhigo can contribute to this. He believes in the gods, and shows a specific interest in Nophica and Rhalgr, but will rarely ever do anything to actually show that or act in faith. He also holds a very strict disbelief in the elements, and the gods of the beast tribes. .

¦ Politics. Abeodan's policies are chaos and mayhem, and the only world he wants to fight for is one where rits rule the streets. He thinks it would be fun. .

R E L A T I O N S (NPC)   Gelva Silverbrand ( ♥ ) - Mother Abeodan's mother, presently sickly. Abeodan adores her above all other things, and tries his best to do anything to make her happy. Due to her current ilness, he will not talk about her, and will turn almost instantly aggressive against anyone who dares to bring her up. R E L A T I O N S (PC)   Ziv'ir Ashal ( :   ●  ✔ ) - The Cat Abeodan and Ziv'ir have been working together for some time, and the exact details of their relationship are mostly unknown, but 'tense' is probably the best word for it. Abeodan finds Ziv'ir useful and has by some means worked out an agreement to keep the cat around for use of potions and healing ability. Ziv'ir's potions can be bought in the botany shop he runs in the Goblet.   Alaire Daerev ( :   ♠  ✔ ) - Boss Abeodan's boss, and where he gets most of his more expensive clothes and items from, usually in the form of gifts. Abeodan has a strict dislike for this man, despite being in a business arrangement with him built around handing in illegal plants in exchange for money. He will avoid him at any time possible.   Reinette Sompt ( :   ●  ✔ ) - Other Boss Abeodan doesn't know her very well, becaues he just joined her company. But of what he does know, he can deem her as 'not that bad', in comparison to other botanists he's found trudging about in the shroud.   Staelufre Lysmerl ( :   ● ) - Pink Cat He doesn't dislike her as much as other cats, that's for one. For second, she seems to actually /try/, when speaking with him. Try to talk, try to understand, try to find compromise. Its rare for people not to scold him for getting angry, and merely find ways of calming him down. He respects that.   Ashelia Riot ( :   ♦ ) - Grand Steward of the Riskbreakers Abeodan's self-proclaimed best friend and the only person he's really known for the entirety of his Eorzean life, most others in his world only now meeting a full year of familiarity. Abeodan idolizes the woman, and often goes to her for aid or advice, or merely to show off some new trinket he's gotten. They have a pretty wide basis of views, and don't always get along, but Abeodan respects her like no other, and thus far all problems have been able to be worked past.   Kianosha Mol ( :   ♠ ) - The Witch The reason the kid is missing his hand, and all around not what he wants in his life. At the same time, he's worked for her before, and probably would again, given the need of it or an inciting enough reward. During that, however, the witch knows well enough to be on her guard for the entirety of it.   Sarisel Arroway ( :   ● ) - An Elf A Riskbreaker. They met once in Ashe's Basement. Abeodan doesn't have much of an opinion on him at the moment, further from the fact that while the man tried to speak to him, for the most of it he was mostly clueless. Also, he's an elf.   Nathaniel Rhys ( :   ● ) - Other Cat Like Ziv'ir, Abeodan has talked this cat into doing some work for him, as of late. Also like Ziv'ir, Abeodan doesn't treat him in the best of manners, and when Ashe isn't around he's been openly hostile, though only slightly more subtly so among Riskbreakers he knows know him, or have influence. At the very least, thanks to intervention by Ashe, he doesn't seem to outright abhor the poor kid anymore, and is on fairly neutral, if not oppressive, speaking terms with him.   Grey Riot ( :   ♠ ) - Ashe's Kid Abeodan can respect the other boy's drive and similar knack for fist fights. He even thinks that he feels he and the other could get along, if Grey could just shut up and maybe take a few well-deserving punches. Despite this thought, he doesn't exactly /want/ to get along with Grey, at the moment. He'd much rather just beat the kid into the ground and be done with it. Easier.   Rydia ( :   ● ) - Snake He doesn't understand why Ashe has let Auri into the Riskbreakers, and he also doesn't understand why /this/ lizard won't even listen to him while he's trying to give advice. She's brash and stupid, and as rare as it is for him to offer tips on anything (he couldn't just /watch/ her messing up her own training like that), he certainly feels slighted for the lack of gratitude.

. ? P L A Y E R   I N F O ? ? I'm a Heavy Roleplayer in Eastern-Standard Timezone (EST). I usually RP in public channels, though often move to private means (/whisper, /party) for certain elements of rp and if the RP itself I find might make anyone around me uncomfortable. I also will very frequently Roleplay on Skype and enjoy keeping up long-term active exchanges there. ? For Combat in Roleplay:: I love using roll-of-the-dice, (usually relying more on a d20 out of game/via an online roller, though /random has also been good to me) along with a realistic idea of how things might work out concerning rolls/random chance with the characters skills and abilities. Basically random chance I find adds a wonderful element to combat rp, but there's always the realism to consider. I adore combat in rp (whether I win or lose or the outcome isn't exactly certain) finding that the tension it adds as well as the random nature of a lot of it can aid in creating new and interesting factors for characters! ? Concerning Romance RP:: I'm not completely opposed to romantic based rp and occasionally enjoy it, but I don't make any real point actively seeking out rp of that nature - dating icly, looking for a relationship icly, etc. My main focus will at no point ever be simply the romantic element. If the plot heads in a direction where characters might have feelings for each other I'm not against this type of thing but I've had some very ~dramatic~ experiences in the past with this type of RP. ? There MUST be a clear separation between IC and OOC when rping. Insults, flirting, violence or talking about characters isn't meant to be personal (ooc). RP HARD LIMITS

If any issues within rp (something my character does is uncomfortble to you, you have an issue with how an action or situation takes place, etc.) just let me know OOCly. Please don't make veiled comments hoping I will catch on. I won't, I can promise that much (I'm really dumb and dense and subtle stuff like that isn't my forte). If the situation is reversed, I will simply say something pretty fast - don't like to let things fester. That all said standard hard-limit no-no stuff and things I love are::

¦ Do: --- Pretty much any Mature Content, Dark or Serious Themes (violence, serious torture, murder, drug/alcohol use, etc.), as well as lighter encounters and interactions. Plot and Character-Driven rp , long-term plots and . Please expect coarse language from a number of my characters. Temporary injury (mind/body), captivity, imprisonment and any types of attacks are a-okay. Romantic and sexual tension are fantastic but please talk to me about anything other than just tension no random tells fishing for erp...that just comes off as awkward and creepy.

¦ Ask: --- Disfigurement, mutilation, crippling or permanently injuring characters. I don't necessarily need to know long-term in advance for these things, but don't inflict anything on my characters without talking to me at least please. Anything that might cause a longer-term character-changing issues which might reflect heavily on other RPS I'm in I want a general heads-up/discussion. Long term captivity (aka, longer than a month or so icly) should be talked out and usually have some reason for happening (since it's basically putting the character out of commission for a good while).

¦ Don't: --- Basically my hard-line is permanent character death without any extensive discussion of this and heavily plot-driven reason for this. RP where character must be connected at the hip to one of my character constantly. "Sexy Torture" for the sake of being sexy is also a huge no. Just no.
