Basic Info

Aronaux is a twenty-four year old wildwood Ishgardian of the minor noble houses Farendaire and Embrelle. Despite having spent many years of his youth in Ul'dah after his mother, Lady Celinae, received the ire of and threats of assassination froma rival house, the Vairemonts, Farendaire is an avid nationalist of the Holy See. His interactions with southerners, especially in recent years, have caused him to privately reconsider his political and religious convictions. Aronaux, while not considering himself a full-blown heretic, has learned to keep his thoughts unheard while with polite Ishgardian company. An expert archer and protégé of his uncle, Shalinor Embrelle, Aronaux Farendaire has seen great success on the battlefield against the Dravanian Horde and considers himself as important and equal as a dragoon.

Affiliations

Ishgard- Unsurprisingly, Aronaux is fiercely loyal to his homeland, despite growing concerns that societal and religious dogma in the Holy See is inherently wrong. Not a day goes by when Aronaux is absent from the Coerthan Central Highlands, and it is a rare week he does not strike down a beast of the Dravanian Horde.

The Eorzean Gambit- The free company of Limsa Lominsan sea wolf Loetzoeng Barabhir, the Eorzean Gambit is a dedicated guild of adventurers against all threats to Eorzea, including Garlemald and the Dravanian Horde. Aronaux is self-titled "Director of Maritime Affairs," after bringing a war vessel and relic of Aronaux's post-Calamity and youthful ambition, Redbolt, to the free company. Despite his love of several members in the free company, Aronaux has been considering departing Gambit due to ideological differences, shifting priorities with the rise of the Dragonsong, and the inability to mesh well with its more outspoken members.

The Maelstrom- After venturing out as a seeker of fame and glory following the Calamity, Aronaux Farendaire found himself serving the military of Limsa Lominsa for several years, and remains tied to the Maelstrom through the Eorzean Gambit's location in Mist. However, just as he considers walking away from the Eorzean Gambit, Farendaire has begun to question his service to the Maelstrom, and deeply regrets his neglect of the Ishgard-Dravania War for several years after Meteor.
