Character
Bex'li Nelhah is a young healer, alchemist, and frontline fighter. He is quick to smile, kind to all he meets til he has reason not to be, and despite his small stature, has a rather large personality. His smile is infectious, putting those around him at ease. He is able to talk to the poshest noble and the lowliest refugee with the same amount of respect. He is far more interested in people's heart than their title or background. His accent, itself, would lead one to believe that he had a rather common upbringing.
Bex is little. He stands well below the average height of his species, though he is by no means delicately built. His hair is usually cropped close to his head, and twists into deep red ringlet curls. His face, and to his dismay his entire body, is covered with freckles. His cheeks dimple when he smiles and his eyes are oddly coloured, one green, one blue.

Tendencies
Likes
- Food: Preferrably savoury things but he's not one to turn down sweets. Or anything edible. But his favourite is meat rare enough that a good veterinarian could save it.
- Alcohol: Lager is his favourite and he loves telling people why it's superior to wine.
- Art: He's an accomplished artist and enjoys doing portrait sketches.
- Dancing: He enjoys dancing in not-so-dignified ways far too much for such an innocent-looking guy.
- Singing: He's a bard.
- Gridania: Trees. Also, he grew up in the Shroud.
- Being In Charge: Maybe he's making up for being tiny. In any case, he prefers to call the shots.
- Blonde Hyuran Men: It's a weakness. (See picture below)

Dislikes
- Rudeness: He doesn't see the point in exhausting energy being mean.
- Lewdness: Love is great. Keep it to yourselves. He blushes too easily to face public displays of affection.
- Ul'dah: Though he spends a lot of time there, the first two dislikes are rampant in Ul'dah and he dislikes it in part because of that.
- Wine: Only for people not strong enough to drink lager or liquor.
- Not being taken seriously: He is young, yes. He is small, yes. However, if you for one second think he should be dismissed because of these things, he'll let you know otherwise.
- Snobs: He's seen enough births to know everyone starts the same way, ugly, covered in blood, and screaming like a demon. No one is born better than others. You achieve greatness and respectability by working hard, not inheriting a title.

Family
Bex is youngest of seven, having four sisters and two brothers. He's much younger than his siblings and the only one still living at home with Mum.
Bex doesn't know his father. His mother, Bexa, was and still is plenty enough the parental figure for him. A skilled alchemist, she was recently given land and a title to go with it for saving the life of a noble Elezen infant with a custom-made potion after it had contracted a particularly nasty infection. She is technically now nobility but does not act it and would never be recognized as nobility by 'old families', especially being a Miqo'te. However, she carries herself with dignity and imparted much of her view of the world to Bexley. A formiddable woman, she would have the balls of any man who would dare mess with her little, red-headed kitten.
Friends
"Ave": Bex's childhood friend and retainer turned squire. This Hyuran is devoted. He is the Samwise Gamgee to Bexley's Frodo and is often found carrying him home from the tavern after a night of drinking. He knows him better than anyone else.
"Xoxa'to": A Keeper recently met that Bex finds charming.
"Thurius": A Hyuran friend Bex regularly chats to at the Drunken Moogle Pub
"Meela": Keeper of the Moon Owner of the Drunken Moogle Pub and someone he considers an "auntie".
"Ojene": A Duskwight neighbor whom he enjoys talking to
"Sylbfohc": Ojene's Roegadyn husband and someone Bex rather sees as a father figure.
"Aghul": A strange Au Ra that seems to more animal than man. Bex has taken an unusual interest in this man and is sometimes seen using a sign language with him.

Enemies
Bexley currently has no enemies. He tries to give everyone a chance, tries to see things from everyone's point of view.
History/Timeline
Bexley was born in the Shroud and lived there, studying with the Conjurer's guild til he was old enough to be sent to Ul'dah to train in a noble's house to become a retainer. He spent two years studying how to become a polished retainer (basically a butler), but after some scandal involving a Hyuran nobleman, left to return to Gridania and study conjurey intensively. He was practically a child during the events of the Calamity and did not enter into any formal battles or do work for any companies until very recently.
