[edit]
At a first glance, Dazed appears to be a light-hearted and friendly Highlander. His somewhat clumsy and straight forward way of carrying himself in social scenarios tends to typically disarm those he interacts with. Being a smuggler, he often approaches strangers with the intent of assessing their potential for profit by using his charisma and charming personality.
Standing at 6’5’’, Dazed would be considered slightly taller than the average Highlander. While he still maintains a strong physique, his recent, calmer lifestyle has begun to show on his body. His previously chiseled form has become softer and less defined, while still retaining most of its strength. With a strong jaw line, some scruff, and a visible scar over the left corner of his lips, the Highlander’s face is one that is easily recognized among a crowd. The odd coloring of his hair, along with the peculiar markings around his eyes further help distinguish him from the masses.
Aspects That Stand Out:
Dazed is has a happy and joyful personality that can best be compared to a charismatic patron of a small town inn. Even though he maintains a disarming personality, he's often sly and manipulative - constantly doing his best to analyze and exploit those around him. Everyone is just happy to enjoy his company as he goes about his day, making whatever jokes or comments to brighten the day of those around him. Even when intoxicated his behavior tends to remain the same, except for the occasional indecent joke or remark.
Keeping his past extremely private, there isn't much that's known of Dazed's personal history, apart from after he took his new name. Captured by a band of Hellsguard bandits, he found himself in a situation where he had to prove himself useful in order to survive. After a desperate plea, the leader of the group decided to give the strategist a chance at proving his worth. Over time, he quickly became smitten by their customs and personalities. What had once started as a desperate attempt to survive became a powerful desire to belong. Over the course of two years, the Hyur became an invaluable asset to his new companions, valuable enough to be re-baptized with a Hellsguard name. He took his new name with pride, forever forsaking his previous one.
Dazed found himself happy, enjoying the company of bandits, and even falling for some. He found himself enjoying his life, until they stumbled over a haul that was meant for the Arcanist's guild. The theft was simple enough to preform, it was a small chocobo-drawn carriage without proper protection. Once the heist was done, the Hyur found himself sorting through the goods, assessing their values and preparing them for exchange in Ul'dah's black market. What he didn't expect, was to find an ancient tablet, practically oozing a dark aether over his palms as he handled it. Underneath the tablet, was a stone with a soft, green hue glowing from it. He felt an uncontrollable urge to take the tablet, and the stone, and leave. In an almost hypnotic state, he took the relics, bolting towards the exit. He managed to regain his senses, only to find himself in Othard, a gash across his face, and the crimson blood of another on his garments. Unsure of what to do next, he found himself studying both the tablet and the stone. Shifting through Doma as a vagrant while using his charisma to make due off of the kindness of others. It wasn't until he finally managed to figure out that the gem was in fact a soulstone, giving him the knowledge of a Scholar of Nym, that he started to turn coin. He started out as a simple adventurer, until he met a certain individual from Garlemald who offered him a job. That one job, led to a series of contracts and opportunities for gil, lifting Dazed from poverty into a substantially better life. Once the liberation of Doma occurred, his original contact no longer in need of his services, causing him to look back to Eorzea for profit. In order to facilitate his actions across nations, Dazed established a contact within the Maelstrom and the Yellowjackets, creating an easy and safe route between both nations, and expanding his potential clientele to all of Eorzea.
