P E R S O N A L I T Y

Destiney is very much an Introvert. She doesn't enjoy large crowded places an tends to often keep to herself around people she is not familiar with. Often times she will rely on other friends being close by before going out to places that do not involve battle. (Bars, Taverns, Beaches, etc.) It takes her time to open up to those who aren't close friends. Once someone is her friend though she is very loyal, often times protective of those she has chosen to befriend. Much like a sister. She often tries to keep a smile on her face even when she's feeling blue so as not to worry friends or loved ones. Sometimes even changing chat topics if needed. But when angered she can be quite hard to deal with, often threatening to throw books or get her bow. She is fairly stubborn when she thinks she's right an won't back down without proof that she is wrong.

When she is off on a expedition (dungeons/raids) she is all business. She is still as kind as she can be but she doesn't find it as a time to make friends. She is less nervous in this setting then she is dealing with people in a more personal setting.

While she is not deeply religious, she does still pray to the Twelve from time to time. An she does not believe in fate or destiny. Each person shapes their own fate in her opinion by the choices they make.

A P P E A R A N C E

Destiney is short by elezen standards, being only 6 fulms. However she does not lack for curves, having a nice shapely figure. The style of her hair changes from time to time but she refuses to dye it so it will always be about a shade of Orchard brown with lighter highlights. Her skin is fair despite the time she spends outdoors and her eyes are a almost cerulean. She has just enough muscle to be able to properly wield a bow or a botanist axe. (Legacy tattoo not to be consider part of IC.) She also has a small beauty mark on her face near her one eye.

She is usually dressed very well, often putting together her own outfits. She tends to go for pretty clothes or functional depending on what her plans are for the day. Her favorite colors for clothes are often shades of blue or light purples. Depending on the clothes of course. Sometimes she will wear whites or grays. She almost always has some kind of jewelry on. If she is going out an it is not an adventure, she will sometimes do her nails to match her clothes.

N P C   Etoinelle Delvanguard (   ♥  ♥ ) ( NPC ) - Elle - Mother Destiney's mother is a former adventurer who turned to a life of botany. She continued to live in Gridania even after her husband was killed during the calamity. She was born an raised in Ishagard to the Aurifore family. Not a exactly one of the rich families in the city but one that was still well off. She met Dest's father in the woods outside Gridania while on her latest adventure. Upon marrying him she remained there to have a life with him, giving up being an adventurer an settling for life as a local botanist. Destiney is still pretty close with her. She prefers to go by her nickname, Elle.   Eddard Delvanguard (   ♥  ♥  ✖ ) ( NPC ) - Father Dest's father was a member of the Gods' Quiver. He was born an raised in Gridania an spent his entire adulthood as a Gods' Quiver archer. Destiney had long admired her father an he had taught her to use a bow. He was killed at the conflict on the Certeneau Flatts by an Imperial Solider during the calamity. She was devastated at losing him, especially since she was unable to return home for his funeral. She had originally wanted to be a member of the Gods' Quiver just like him.   Lady Katrienne Ferdillaix (   ♥  ♥ ) ( NPC ) - Aunt Katy Dest's Aunt and Etoinelle's sister. Dest lives with her an her husband around the time of the calamity. She dotes on Destiney quite often, making sure her sister's child had plenty of distractions during the first few years of life in Ishgard. She wouldn't allow Destiney to return home for the funeral for fear of danger after what happened on Certeneau Flatts. She works at home as a weaver an housewife.   Sir Lancefer Ferdillaix (   ♥  ♠ ) ( NPC ) - Uncle Lance Destiney's uncle but she rarely sees him. He's often out on patrols in Coerthas with the other knights. The rare chances she gets to see him, he is usually in a foul mood an ignores her. So Dest doesn't care if he is present or not. Only her Aunt seems to have any luck dealing with him when he is like that.   Tucker ( ♥ ) ( NPC ) - Tucker Tucker is Dest's pet wolf pup she found on one of her trips. She took him in an cared for him since he had been abandoned. Sometimes she'll bring him along on her trips or leave him with her Aunt or Mother. Tucker despite his small size tries to protect Dest from monsters until one tries to hit him an then he'll run an hide behind her legs. His bark is definitely worse then his bite. He's rather people friendly, gladly accepting offered treats or attention. Lady ( ♥ ) ( NPC ) - Lady On a recent adventure, Destiney befriended this small dragonet which she has nicknamed Lady. Curiosity drives this little dragonet to follow her around on some of her adventures when she is allowed to. Destiney can't speak the language of dragons at this time but they communicate more through actions then words. (If you want an example look at Kaylin Neya an her familiar from the Chronicles of Elantra book series.)

P C   Dekkarra Delvanguard ( ♥) - Dek A male Wildwood Elezen. She has known him for a long time, met through a mutual friend. After years of dating they decided to be Eternally Bonded. They have been married for a little over a year now. They share an open relationship but do not spend as much time together as she would like. Their differing jobs often keep them apart for long periods of time. (*Note: This player is a non RPer, though he may be mentioned on occasion because he is Destiney's Eternal Bond mate.*) Taklest Delvanguard ( ♥ ) - Tak   Chee Smith (   ♥  ♦) - Chee A female Miqo'te Seeker. Chee is one of Dest's longtime friends. She often sees Chee as a sister an very dear friend. She often hangs around with her, feeling most comfortable chatting with her about almost anything. The two of them are quite often getting into harmless shenanigans around the FC house. The two of them are most often causing mischief for their other 'The Outsiders' companions. (Small circle of very close friends they are both a part of.) J'siris Tia ( ●) - Ris Chee's brother. She finds him adorable in a sort of kid brother kind of way. She has only recently got to meet him but she is glad to know Chee has him at her back. Arthur Dragmire ( ♥ ♦) - Arthur A Hyur Midlander man. He is a free paladin that she often spends time hanging out with, along with Chee. She and Chee enjoy endlessly harassing Arthur in good fun. He is one of her most reliable an trustworthy friends. She knows he will do whatever he can to help out when she has a problem. He is also part of 'The Outsiders' with Dest and Chee. (*Note: This player is a non RPer, though he may be mentioned on occasion.*) Clarke Southway ( ♦ ) - Clarkey A wildwood Elezen male who is friends with Dest. She thinks he is a terrible flirt an a bit of a clown. They have a sort of sibling-like relationship an sometimes bicker as if they truly are bother an sister. There is no family tie between them though. Chee sometimes gets stuck being the middle person between the two of them when they bicker. In the end though they like to joke around together an cause mischief. Or just sometimes Dest harasses him an tries to get Chee to go along with it. He is the newest addition to their small circle of friends called 'The Outsiders'. Crimson Knight ( ♦ ) - Crim A Hyur Midlander man who is friends with Dest. She sometimes thinks he tells tall tales but doesn't really mean any harm by it. He is trustworthy an a good friend to have at her back regardless. He does try to cheer her up when she is feeling down. He too belongs to 'The Outsiders' with the others.   Lofen Melocuil ( ♠ ) - Lofen A male Miqo'te Keeper. Destiney doesn't know Lofen all that well an has only met him on occasion when he was spending time with Chee. Right now though she wants to smack some sense into him for hurting Chee. However she has promised Chee to leave him alone. Not that she wouldn't make him her target if she was to run into him in a rousing session of Frontlines.   Luth ivywood (  ♦) - Luthy A female Miqo'te Seeker. Destiney knows Luth from a previous Free Company they had both been a part of before going separate ways. She doesn't know her as well as she would like but does consider her a friend. She is someone Dest would like to know better if given the chance. Arthyr Caden ( ♥ ♦ ✖ ) - Caden A male Wildwood Elezen, once a male Miqo'te Seeker of the Sun. Destiney hadn't gotten to know Caden as well as she would have liked but they were pretty close despite their brief time together. He was playful an a flirt but he was often a joy to spend time with privately. They often met at the smaller bar down by the airships to plan their outings together since Dest isn't fond of crowds. She was just recently informed of his untimely demise by Elpeaux. Elpeaux Reaufond ( ● ) - El A male Au Ra Xaela. She just recently met him when he came to seek her out to deliver a letter from Caden. She is unsure yet how she feels about him though he has offered to be her friend. She has not heard from him recently since he gave her the news. Gatoli Catoli ( ♦ ) - Gato A young Plainsfolk man who struck on his own with a large amount of his father's money to escape his influence over his life. Gato met Dest while working as a courtesan, and after losing this job and becoming low on funds, she allowed the Lalafell to stay with her rent free on the condition that he maintains the estate for her while her and Dek are away on their many adventures. He now lives with the pair as a sort of butler, already having the polite and attentive temperament to go with the job. Although he does have a tendency to bring women home and into his chambers when the lord and lady are out of the house. Maple Blossom ( ♦ ) - Maple A striking Hellsguard Roegadyn lady she just recently got to meet. She seems nice enough an is glad Gato has his childhood friend back with him once more. She offered Maple a place to stay, sharing space with Gato at her household with a similar bargain to the one she made with him. She looks forward to getting to know Maple better over their time of sharing of living space. Raiden Doucer ( ♦ ♥) - Raiden Aimee Peltier ( ♦ ) - Aimee

H I S T O R Y

Destiney's mother was from Ishgard while her father was native to Gridania. Her mother once belonged to the Aurifore house in Ishgard before leaving to begin her own life. Elle's parents pretty much disowned her upon learning she desired to become an adventurer instead of marrying into a higher class family. Elle found her way to Ishgard over her time as an adventurer, where she had a run in with Dest's father. Over the time of a few months her parents fell in love an soon had an Eternal Bonding ceremony. Instead of returning to Ishgard, her mother settled down to have a family in Gridania with him. Destiney an her brother Taklest were born to them, fraternal twins. Destiney resembled her mother while Tak resembled their father.

Most of Destiney's early life was normal an average. She found she had a love of both flowers and bows. While her brother had a love of the dark arts an potions. Despite their differing hobbies of choice, the two siblings were close. Her mother was a botanist now instead of an adventurer as they grew up but her father remained a member of the Gods' Quiver. Destiney learned how to use a bow from her father, wanting to eventually follow in his footsteps instead of her mother's. At this time she didn't know her mother had once been an adventurer as her mother didn't really talk about it much besides some of the more scenic places she had once visited. During the years right before the calamity, Destiney met Dekkarra through a mutual friend. The two of them began a relationship.

It was around the time of the Calamity that Destiney was sent away, interrupting her training to join the Gods' Quiver. Her brother had disappeared off to Ul'dah to become a black mage without permission, leaving her to face Ishgard alone. Her mother an father agreed it was safer to send her into the dangers of Ishgard rather then allow her to remain in Gridania as Dalamund began its fall. It was no guarantee she would be any safer there then in Gridania. Her mother took up her old spear from her adventuring days an joined her husband in the fight at Certeneau Flatts. At least with Destiney away in Ishgard they could both fight without worrying if their daughter might try to join this fight. However Dest's father was killed during the conflict, leaving her mother alone in Gridania after the fighting was over.

Destiney spent the next five years living in Ishgard with the constant threat of dragons an heretics. She had even missed her father's funeral due to the fact it was unsafe for her to even try to make the trip back to Gridania. An she had no idea what happened to her brother during that time. Her aunt however always tried to keep her distracted with books an other learning activities. Her Aunt Katy was doting yet kind to her niece, understanding how hard it was for the girl to suddenly be thrust into an entirely different place like this. Her uncle was someone Dest was glad to barely see. The fighting against heretics, dragons, or other monsters often made him come home rather hostile. Through her aunt though, Dest found a love for reading an a desire to adventure to new places. However she managed to keep in touch with Dekkarra over those years through letters an his occasional visits to Ishgard. Their relationship remained strong over those years. He was the one thing that had not changed for her despite everything else.

It was after those 5 years that she finally set out to be an adventurer. She had returned home to visit her mother first an retrieve her father's old bow an hope that her mother knew something about her brother's whereabouts. It was then that her mother had explained that she had once been an adventurer herself. Destiney was then given her father's bow an her mother's blessing but no news about her beloved brother. So she set out on her first adventure, hoping to come across her brother.

It was during her early days as an fledgling adventurer that she met an befriended Chee and Arthur. The three of them became an almost inseparable trio. They styled themselves as "The Outsiders" an eventually added a few other friends to their small circle over time.

During the next year Destiney joined the Immortal Flames and helped Dekkarra establish a free company. With the company's help they managed to purchase a house in the Lavender Beds to call home for the company. About a year after she finally agreed to become Bonded to Dekkarra. So now she had her close friends and the man she loved. However she was in no way ready to settle down.

Over the first several years of her adventures, Destiney learned the arts of a Scholar and the skills of a Bard. However she finds now she often prefers Scholar over Bard, wanting to mend wounds rather then cause them. She will still wield her bow on occasion when the mood strikes her or if she is needed to. She just no longer desires the same path as she once did growing up, wanting to follow now in her mother's old lifestyle rather then her father's.

Present Day:

Destiney still adventures an makes a fairly good living doing so. She often comments on expeditions she's recently gone on when sitting around talking to friends at open taverns they decide to visit. Most often it is with Chee and Clark or just Chee.

During one of her visits to the bar down by the airship in Ul'dah, Destiney met Arthyr Caden. They became very close in the short time she was able to spend with the Miqo'te. They went out to a few different places an she had even offered to help him improve on his reading skills. However Caden had disappeared from her for a time due to a danger in his life, not wanting to get Destiney involved. She was able to briefly meet him once more an final time before his demise. She was heartbroken to learn of his death when Elpeaux Reaufond sought her out in their usual meeting spot at that bar. She was upset that he hadn't allowed her to help him with this problem, instead dying an leaving her behind.

Destiney began to avoid that bar downstairs, a reminder of the friend she had lost. Instead she began seeking out open taverns to attend with friends. Most often she would find one an ask Chee to go with her. One of the taverns she invited Chee to was at the Velvet Rose. It was supposed to be an Open Talent night, so she convinced Chee it might be fun to go watch despite the tavern's known reputation. Here she met an befriended Gatoli Catoli.

A few weeks later, Destiney managed to buy a plot of land in the Goblet. It was only a small plot but it was all she really needed. Chee was thankfully also able to get a plot of land not too far away in the Goblet as well. She dubbed the house, Sanctuary an began to make it into a home despite what little time she would spend there due to the way she lived her life.

A short time after obtaining her house an getting mostly set up, she ran into Gatoli again. However he was now homeless having left the Velvet Rose. Destiney and Gatoli made a bargain an he became a tenant in the Delvanguard household. He now works as the caretaker of the household while she is off doing what she does best. It of course has begun to lead to rumors, hiring the former courtesan to be the caretaker of the house.

Destiney began to attend regular outings with a group of people Chee had introduced her to at the Forgotten Springs. She wanted to make changes to her life, become at least a bit more social. She wanted to make new friends, not that anything was wrong with her current friends. So she is now making it a regular thing to make sure to attend these gatherings in attempt to get over her nervousness when dealing with people in a personal setting as well as make new friends. Everyone she has met so far at these gatherings has left a good impression on her. She especially looks forward to talking with Raiden and Aimee when she goes.
