The aethernet courier: A traveller and explorer by heart, H'amaar Tia is an Aethernet courier. That is, a person that has adventurer levels of anima, and makes a job out of it, by making fast deliveries of small, valuable objects across big distances, via Aetheryte. That's half of his job. The other half consist in travelling -by mundane methods- towards unseen destinations, to attune more Aetherytes, as to expand his network of destinations and clients.
The dying arcane student and the Riddle of the Red: His job is only half of what he does, these days. He's afflicted by an hereditary malformation that is slowly but surely killing him. Even healing magic can only stave off its effect, without being able to remove the root causes. He's always had an affinity for conjury, but he's unable to draw aether from nature, as conjurers normally do. Instead, he can only use his own limited aether to heal. He's avidly looking for other, more aether-efficient sources of magic healing. He completely failed at learning acanima, and the blue crystal he bought from that shady fellow in Limsa Lominsa isn't giving the expected results: his only hope is finding one of the fabled Crimson Duelists he met as a child, and learn their secret technique to amplify their own personal aether, or, as he calls it: solving the Riddle of the Red.
