Perhaps due to all the time underground, his skin is slightly on the pale side for a Dunesfolk. His dark green hair has streaks of purple in it, mixing his two favorite colors. A little self-conscious about the small size of his ears, Nonoliri grew in (and kept) his beard and mustache, hoping to draw away attention. Despite his lips usually being turned up into a smile, his brown eyes tend to look unfocused, as if he is lost in thought. Scars & Markings: Nonoliri wears an amethyst gem on his forehead representing his birth under Menphina, which is further surrounded by a tattoo he got on his 16th nameday. Voice: Despite standing just over a yalm high, Nonoliri's voice is robust, and deeper than many expect. Nonoliri has called after countless people only for them to swivel around and look about 2 fulms above him for the source of their name. Clothing: Nonoliri tries to look cool, but he unfortunately never got the hang of it. Nonetheless, at least he feels he looks magnificent in his varied outfits. The one common thing you will see with Nonoliri, though, are his glasses. He is fairly nearsighted, unable to make out details from as little as a few malms away. Tenacious, loyal, and quick to laugh, but also single-minded, lonely, and filled with apprehension. Likes Exploring. Nonoliri is always trying to visit new places. Reading. When relaxing between jobs, Nonliri devours books like children do candy. Stories. Whether musical, poetic, or just told, Nonoliri loves to hear tales from long ago. Dislikes Racism. Nonoliri has met fierce Lalafell and dexterous Roegadyn. Being overlooked because of his height infuriates him. Defeatists. Always willing to help out even strangers, Nonoliri has no time or pity for those who have given up hope without even trying. Needless violence. Sometimes, violence is the answer. However, a quick word, a bought drink, or even just turning and running is better than taking someone to the Chirurgeon over something trivial. Fears Dragons. While dragons are thankfully rare, the last Calamity was devastating to Nonoliri. Quakes. Nonoliri has spent a fair amount of time in underground ruins. He survived a cave-in once, but the event left him locking up for a split second when he feels a tremble. Large crowds. He has been trying to get over this, but he has a hard time dealing with very large gatherings. She took the aimless boy as an assistant, opening his eyes to the world of research and of magic. Nonoliri idolized her, but she went missing during the 7th Umbral Calamity and he has been searching for her ever since. Kakanon Bobonon (✔) ( NPC ) - The Contact Relic Hunting only pays the bills if someone is willing to buy them. Kakanon works with the Syndicate as a buyer of wares, and sometimes has jobs for Nonoliri. All on the up and up, of course. PC Wuotwint Eifaeidinsyn ( ♦ ) ( PC ) - The Big Guy (AKA Mr. Sabotender) Nonoliri has done a lot of digs with a lot of people. At first, Wuot started off as hired muscle, but you can only risk death with one man so many times before a friendship forms. Wuot is now one of Nonoliri's closest (and very few,) friends, both knowing the other would drop almost anything if the other needed help. Name ■ "Add rumor here." Name Background Nonoliri is a cheerful, determined Lalafell. After his life was shattered during the 7th Umbral Calamity, he picked up what pieces he could and started marching forward. As time went on, his single-minded search for his friend became a dull fear that she was dead, and he vowed to life his life the way she would have wanted him to, all while continuing his search. He smiles with his lips, if not his eyes. This has lead Nonoliri to be fiercely loyal, quick to laugh, and always trying to live life to the fullest. Bad with crowds and meeting new people, he nonetheless keeps at it with a dogged determination. He would hardly admit it, but some of his happiest memories now are with his current friends. Nonoliri has a strong sense of justice, but despises those who give up and wallow in self-despair. Nonoliri is inherently trusting, to the point of being naive. Nonoliri is a Relic Hunter by trade, but does odd jobs here and there. If you need something found or retrieved, Nonoliri is the go-to guy. Strengths Reading. Not just for pleasure, Nonoliri taught himself magic and laid the groundwork for his combat skills solely from reading. Determination. If it doesn't kill him, it makes him stronger. Nonoliri's been through hell already and it hasn't stopped him yet, so why should anything else? Quick-wit. Nonoliri has gotten out of many more problems by quick thinking than brash actions. Weaknesses Naive. Nonoliri is an honest Lalafell, and tries to see the best in others. This leads him to believing things that might not be true. Single-minded. Once Nonoliri gets his mind onto something, the rest of the world can kind of fade out. Self-doubt. A mage of no small power, and a decently (if magically-enhanced) swordsman, Nonoliri still constantly second guesses himself. Skills Magic. Alex pointed out to Nonoliri, during his time as her assistant, that he had a fair amount of inherent mana. With no formal teacher (aside from the countless tomes,) Nonoliri managed to acquire Red and White magic. Linguistics. Nonoliri's saw countless ancient texts during his time as an assistant, and learned to read and write them as part of his work. Can tie a cherry stem into a knot with his tongue. Miscellaneous Always trying to meet new people. What originally started off as a search for his friend has now become a genuine interesting in meeting people. Born in Limsa Lominsa, but went to work in Ul'dah at 16. Currently has a place to sleep in Limsa Lominsa, and has an apartment in Gridania.
