Appearance

Taller than the average Miqo'te female, Y'suri stands at just over five fulms with a dark, curvy frame and a large bust that any woman would kill for. Her naturally darker skin sets her apart from most individuals that surround her, often drawing unwanted attention. Muscle tone is not something easily spotted without close inspection, as she's never really physically exerted herself on a daily basis. Short brown hair accompanied by pigtails hanging from either side of her face, tipped with blonde highlights, covers her head and bangs that barely hang over her eyes. She has a small scar across the bridge of her nose and another gashed into her right cheek, both reminders of a troubled past. Her eyes, probably her most notable feature, pierce through any that may catch a glimpse. Pale icy hues of blue that hide behind strands of hair spring to life against her dark skin and are often a conversation starter. Some would even say under dimmer lighting conditions they would glow a faint green. Accompanying her eyes are equally bright blue freckles; Such an unusual color with no understanding as to how or why, perhaps something to do with her inner aether.

In most instances, Y'suri covers herself well. With the exception of her favorite pair of thigh-high boots and occasionally a skirt, she dresses rather conservatively. She's most commonly sighted with a white initiate's gown and a chocobo feather weaved into her hair. With a lack of an income and a home, mixing and matching hand-me-downs and whatever she can snatch from distracted eyes can become quite a pain. Still, she considers herself fashionable with what she has. In private she lives a different life. Whenever she manages to find a roof to live under for a few days, it's not uncommon for her to be prancing around in next to nothing.

Personality

One would normally see Y'suri standing quietly in The Quicksand or roaming the streets of Ul'dah. She tends to keep to herself, as she is usually unable to gather the courage to initiate any sort of interaction. Once the words start flowing though, she quickly unwinds. Y'suri speaks softly, often popping a small joke here and there during a conversation whether it be appropriate or not. Playfulness aside, she's not afraid to throw a punch with those scrawny arms. Y'suri takes pride in the fact that she has survived alone for the majority of her life and has learned to defend herself. Those who get to know her will discover she is a very determined and strong willed individual who tends to push herself a bit hard to better herself.

She's apt to open up more to the company of a female, and more likely to try and find an escape from contact with a male. This is largely due to her past relationship with the man she despises calling her father, as it's not easy to overcome years of physical and mental abuse. She lacks trust in almost any man, and it's likely to take time for her to warm up to one.

That being said, she can be quite the flirt. A lack of socializing with people has set her appetite for physical contact rather high. She often finds herself staring at women (and men on rare occasions) in The Quicksand for minutes at a time. Given the opportunity for alone time, she'll likely take you up on it if it means a roof to stay in and a little fun for the night. But don't get the wrong idea, she doesn't do this with everyone. If Y'suri doesn't feel a connection, she's likely to shy away from the idea. Nine times out of ten she will refuse to be alone with a man.

Eager to make new friends and contacts, she's unlikely to turn down a request for help if she can benefit from it. Need some company? She's likely to have a seat, listen or eat - provided you pay. Or maybe help with a job? If it gives her a chance to practice her thaumaturgy, she won't hesitate.
