Kiara was born not into what was considered "nobility" but daughter of an Au Ra tribe leader. She was smart, fast and a hunter. A prize to be won to wed from their tribe in the future considering her lineage and her skill set. She was always close to her father when it came to learning her skills but a few weeks before her own name day she watched her best friend get tied to a sacred tree to them. She knew of their history but thought this practice had died many years ago. The horror that rested in her eyes seeing her friend tied up to the tree, knowing that they were not going to be escaping those binds. The Tumet tribe was known for the hunt, the kill, knowledge beyond survival was a secondary skill not a necessity. Her friend however, was all brains and no strength. She could feel her father's grip on her shoulder keeping her from trying to save her friend and then pushed forward to walk on and past them without a second glance.

It was a day , and no sign of her friend, the world seemed quieter and more grim without her. She wanted to sneak away, but her father had much anticipated Kiara attempting to save them and posted guards outside at posts to keep an eye for her doing just that among their normal duties of protection. When it hit a week, and there was no return of her friend she knew that the animals in these parts would have mutilated and devoured her by now. She knew her friend was dead when her father also stopped preventing her from exploring again. The ache she felt made her sick, her name day was coming up in a week and she knew she would be fine, but how many Tumet tribe had died to that name day... how could the tribe grow and evolve without the best of scholars and knowledge at hand.

When her name day came, she was tied to a tree. Watching her family and friends leave she shook her head. It took her less than an hour to completely cut through the ropes one way or another before she returned to the tribe. She realized though how much hatred had grown towards them and how cruel people were in general. When she was around twenty she confronted her father about these practices, with much anger and an authority of her own that she had been taught over the years from her elders. For one day when her hand was taken, the man she married and herself would be the new tribe leaders. There was one issue though, she didn't want these traditions to stay in her name and the one she was to wed... did. She argued for what seemed like many moons to no avail until finally she dissapeared one night.

When she dissapeared the didn't look for her, they hunted for her. This is where she ran into Bujiran Arulaq, a scholar of another tribe who pulled her to the side and hid her from her tribe without a question to why she was running at that time. He simply could see her determination yet fear and cloaked her scent with foreign plants. That was the last time she saw her tribe and the day she began to travel with Bujiran, another Au Ra that she didn't necessarily owe her life in terms of death, but her freedom from her tribe was a price she had to repay Bujiran for. It started as a mutual friendship and aiding one another to her serving him, protecting him, and killing for him if necessary. She wasn't completely cold hearted, she tolerated people that Bujiran worked with or cared for, but the years in her tribe had cut her off from a normal reality of seeing good in people easily.

Kiara was born not into what was considered "nobility" but daughter of an Au Ra tribe leader. She was smart, fast and a hunter. A prize to be won to wed from their tribe in the future considering her lineage and her skill set. She was always close to her father when it came to learning her skills but a few weeks before her own name day she watched her best friend get tied to a sacred tree to them. She knew of their history but thought this practice had died many years ago. The horror that rested in her eyes seeing her friend tied up to the tree, knowing that they were not going to be escaping those binds. The Tumet tribe was known for the hunt, the kill, knowledge beyond survival was a secondary skill not a necessity. Her friend however, was all brains and no strength. She could feel her father's grip on her shoulder keeping her from trying to save her friend and then pushed forward to walk on and past them without a second glance.

It was a day , and no sign of her friend, the world seemed quieter and more grim without her. She wanted to sneak away, but her father had much anticipated Kiara attempting to save them and posted guards outside at posts to keep an eye for her doing just that among their normal duties of protection. When it hit a week, and there was no return of her friend she knew that the animals in these parts would have mutilated and devoured her by now. She knew her friend was dead when her father also stopped preventing her from exploring again. The ache she felt made her sick, her name day was coming up in a week and she knew she would be fine, but how many Tumet tribe had died to that name day... how could the tribe grow and evolve without the best of scholars and knowledge at hand.

When her name day came, she was tied to a tree. Watching her family and friends leave she shook her head. It took her less than an hour to completely cut through the ropes one way or another before she returned to the tribe. She realized though how much hatred had grown towards them and how cruel people were in general. When she was around twenty she confronted her father about these practices, with much anger and an authority of her own that she had been taught over the years from her elders. For one day when her hand was taken, the man she married and herself would be the new tribe leaders. There was one issue though, she didn't want these traditions to stay in her name and the one she was to wed... did. She argued for what seemed like many moons to no avail until finally she dissapeared one night.

When she dissapeared the didn't look for her, they hunted for her. This is where she ran into Bujiran Arulaq, a scholar of another tribe who pulled her to the side and hid her from her tribe without a question to why she was running at that time. He simply could see her determination yet fear and cloaked her scent with foreign plants. That was the last time she saw her tribe and the day she began to travel with Bujiran, another Au Ra that she didn't necessarily owe her life in terms of death, but her freedom from her tribe was a price she had to repay Bujiran for. It started as a mutual friendship and aiding one another to her serving him, protecting him, and killing for him if necessary. She wasn't completely cold hearted, she tolerated people that Bujiran worked with or cared for, but the years in her tribe had cut her off from a normal reality of seeing good in people easily.

If you ask Alana about her family, she would most likely reply with. “Well I have parents but I don’t remember them.” Not because they are dead, but because they had to give her up when she was still very young. That is where her story began. When Alana was but the age of five her parents noticed she had a rare talent, a talent that with their skills they didn’t feel they could properly protect with all the chaos their world was still fighting off and recovering from. With that, they met with the conjurer guild master residing in Old Gridania and asked him for aid with the child. Alana’s healing even at a young age was fairly decent, and with age would only become stronger and more potent. She had a strange connection with nature she could hear the elements and even communicate with the animals, but didn’t know what this power was until she was much older.

As she grew older, the people of Gridania became like her family. She still didn’t know many people growing up but the ones she did took good care of her. She met even a few people here and there like Selarian, Calliope, and Gustas but her distance with living in the woods and their they didn’t really get to know each other very well or remember each other. As she further progressed in her nature and healing magic with outstanding progress. She could heal people flawlessly, however with her great ability to heal others, she had a few flaws that also could prove quite dangerous. No matter how hard she tried, she could only heal minor wounds on herself at most which left her very vulnerable to attacks on herself, and with no abilities in battle other than healing she was an asset to others but a danger to herself.

She was explained the risks various times, but she had made her decision long before being told this about helping others. She found herself in nature so much, she ended up residing in a large tree, where she made a door in an old hollowed out tree and would mend the wood to be sturdy and stable to house herself.

At the age of twenty though, she would be given reason to have her first fear of humans, the way she became fearful of crowds. She was warned that she was a target, for her ability to heal and her inability to truly defend herself, but she put trust in humanity and fate to guide her to the right places to keep her safe and where she needed to be. She never quite expected to be walking in a town she knew so well, to find herself smashed into hard the next moment, her body being launched into a nearby wall where she fell to the ground. The world spun for a few moments, as she would begin to regain her bearings, but she was surrounded by a group of men at this point, who were searching for gold, or worse. Alana wasn’t dressed in anything fancy, but her staff was very elegant and decorated with crystals, a gift from the guild master. These men, wanted just that, her staff.

When she refused to give it up, Alana was ripped from the ground by her hair and thrown to the floor elsewhere , as she hastily got to her feet. She took out her staff swinging it at them , her sharp teeth bared, and her furry ears pinned down to her head in a threatening manner. Even like that though, they did not fear her, they drew weapons, speaking of things like teaching her a lesson. She fought the best she could, but it ultimately ended with one of them catching her down the back from shoulder to just below the mid way point on her back with a blade, leaving her to fall to the ground in pain as they surrounded her. By now it had drawn the attention of quite a few, as she felt a foot kick her hard enough to make her black-out. Someone must have come to her rescue though, because she woke up a long while later in the inn in Uldah with her staff resting on the bed at her side. She was bandaged up and healed for the most part but still sore and unable to move much. To this day she couldn’t remember who had saved her, but one day she hoped to meet him or her and repay the debt.

She couldn’t remember their faces , and vaguely remembered what happened because it happened so quickly, but that gave her the fear of crowds, and a slight fear of people touching her from that point forward. She wandered the towns less after that, but it never stopped her caring and reasons to aid those in need otherwise. When she wasn’t needed for healing, she was most of the time found back in the woods at her tree tending to animals, plants, and elements of nature.

Four years later brings Alana to her more current stories, at the age of twenty four. She was still pretty carefree and had a little less fear over time, returning to the cities a bit more frequently and even making some new friends, and rekindling some old friendships from Gridinia. Where the people she met and new adventures may lead her though is still uncertain...

Alana’s healing even at a young age was fairly decent, and with age would only become stronger and more potent. She had a strange connection with nature she could hear the elements and even communicate with the animals, but didn’t know what this power was until she was much older.

As she grew older, the people of Gridania became like her family. She still didn’t know many people growing up but the ones she did took good care of her. She met even a few people here and there like Selarian, Calliope, and Gustas but her distance with living in the woods and their they didn’t really get to know each other very well or remember each other. As she further progressed in her nature and healing magic with outstanding progress. She could heal people flawlessly, however with her great ability to heal others, she had a few flaws that also could prove quite dangerous. No matter how hard she tried, she could only heal minor wounds on herself at most which left her very vulnerable to attacks on herself, and with no abilities in battle other than healing she was an asset to others but a danger to herself.

She was explained the risks various times, but she had made her decision long before being told this about helping others. She found herself in nature so much, she ended up residing in a large tree, where she made a door in an old hollowed out tree and would mend the wood to be sturdy and stable to house herself.

At the age of twenty though, she would be given reason to have her first fear of humans, the way she became fearful of crowds. She was warned that she was a target, for her ability to heal and her inability to truly defend herself, but she put trust in humanity and fate to guide her to the right places to keep her safe and where she needed to be. She never quite expected to be walking in a town she knew so well, to find herself smashed into hard the next moment, her body being launched into a nearby wall where she fell to the ground. The world spun for a few moments, as she would begin to regain her bearings, but she was surrounded by a group of men at this point, who were searching for gold, or worse. Alana wasn’t dressed in anything fancy, but her staff was very elegant and decorated with crystals, a gift from the guild master. These men, wanted just that, her staff.

When she refused to give it up, Alana was ripped from the ground by her hair and thrown to the floor elsewhere , as she hastily got to her feet. She took out her staff swinging it at them , her sharp teeth bared, and her furry ears pinned down to her head in a threatening manner. Even like that though, they did not fear her, they drew weapons, speaking of things like teaching her a lesson. She fought the best she could, but it ultimately ended with one of them catching her down the back from shoulder to just below the mid way point on her back with a blade, leaving her to fall to the ground in pain as they surrounded her. By now it had drawn the attention of quite a few, as she felt a foot kick her hard enough to make her black-out. Someone must have come to her rescue though, because she woke up a long while later in the inn in Uldah with her staff resting on the bed at her side. She was bandaged up and healed for the most part but still sore and unable to move much. To this day she couldn’t remember who had saved her, but one day she hoped to meet him or her and repay the debt.

She couldn’t remember their faces , and vaguely remembered what happened because it happened so quickly, but that gave her the fear of crowds, and a slight fear of people touching her from that point forward. She wandered the towns less after that, but it never stopped her caring and reasons to aid those in need otherwise. When she wasn’t needed for healing, she was most of the time found back in the woods at her tree tending to animals, plants, and elements of nature.

Four years later brings Alana to her more current stories, at the age of twenty four. She was still pretty carefree and had a little less fear over time, returning to the cities a bit more frequently and even making some new friends, and rekindling some old friendships from Gridinia. Where the people she met and new adventures may lead her though is still uncertain...

If you ask Alana about her family, she would most likely reply with. “Well I have parents but I don’t remember them.” Not because they are dead, but because they had to give her up when she was still very young. Very dainty and young, Roux is a naive young lady who only wishes to impress people. Though she seeks to entertain to bring joy to others, she is also stubborn in her decision making, and rarely changes her mind unless she is conflicted. Born to a simple family from the former imperial province of Doma, Roux was born to her mother and father and raised during the age of the Garlean occupation. She was raised away from the streets like a princess, her mother and father being clan leaders for their village, and therefore Roux was viewed as royalty. She had many friends in her childhood, one in particular was named Kaede. Roux and Kaede spent nearly all the time together, playing with other children in the village, and also they were viewed positively even amongst the Garlean garrison. They never viewed the Garleans negatively, but this was due to their naivety and even the Garleans who were friendly to them wishing to shield them from the cold reality of their lives.

Her mother and father were very strict behind closed doors, making sure she was asleep at a very early hour, and also keeping her sheltered after she had become 10 years of age. She hardly ever left their home, and lost contact with Kaede after Kaede's family fled the country of Doma for Eorzea.

Roux became slightly rebellious after she had become a teenager, she found out she was to eventually be married off to a boy in a faraway village as a means to strengthen their ties when the leaders of both villages found out that the Garlean emperor was growing deathly ill. They sought to join the rest of the Domans in their rebellion, and during this carnage Roux was sent to a recovering Eorzea, completely oblivious to the calamity that had happened years ago. Her mother and father had her wed, but she considers herself single to this day as she held no feelings of affection to her husband, who only viewed her as a trophy piece.

==== ''Adulthood'' ====

Although Roux safely made it to Eorzea, she also arrived a little bit ahead of the Domans that arrived in Vesper Bay on the galleons. She never knew her homeland was no more, burned to the ground. However with the surge of Domans coming to Eorzea, she eventually discovered her mother and father now live in Mor Dhona, and she hurried there to meet them. While they reprimanded her without remorse for her conduct in this new land, specifically showing no care for her husband, she reminded them she had no choice in her marriage, and stormed out to never see her mother and father again.

Ever since she has become an entertainer in Ul'dah to try and survive, finding it hard to even find food at night. She became friends with the guildmaster of the Weaver's guild, who graciously outfitted her with beautiful clothes so she could have a chance at being what she wanted to become. He did this as she was but a young woman trying to survive, and thus pitied her and decided to help her.

Currently an apprentice dancer, Roux has since perfected her art of entertaining, even expanding it to singing and storytelling. She blends her traditions of Doma with the modern practices of Ul'dah, making it an alluring miracle to behold.
