==Character==
===General===

A scholar and warrior both. Though he generally keeps to himself, he has friends who he would lay down his life for.

===Appearance===

Taller than the average Miqo'te, his stature is intimidating to some. His hair is long and dark as the night sky, his eyes heterochromic, being ice blue and a brilliant green. He has a gentle composure that masks his fierce determination.

===Behavior===

At first pass, he seems distant, unaware of the plights of the world. J'ikan is an individual who tends to spend more time with his books than with other people, and has a tendency to ignore people at times. He studies, and rarely intervenes with most situations. When confronted, he feigns ignorance with a blank expression, making it clear he has no intention of sharing any information. Though he seems cruel at times, a few have seen his more friendly side.

However, despite his usual mannerisms, he can be very friendly. He is known to show compassion to those who have shared in his hardships though his life, and has never turned a blind eye to someone who is truly in need.

He seeks nothing more than companionship, but usually finds nothing but scorn, therefore he has created a wall around his emotions and decided to live as a scholar.

==Combat==
===General===

While J'ikan likes to study magic, he doesn't use it in battle. He generally tends to default to daggers, being raised in Doma during the Empire's conquest. He has an extensive knowledge of ninjutsu, and uses it without hesitation should the need arise.

===Other===
J'ikan trained as an astrologist, and a dark knight. He did this in order to better protect and mend those whom he has developed a mental connection with.

He was raised in Doma, but that's all he knows. He has no memory of who his parents were or where he truly came from. All he knows is Master Gekkai found him in the wilderness, and taught him the ways of Ninjutsu.

==History/Timeline==
===Childhood-Adolescence===
He lost most of the memories from his childhood, his earliest memory being at 12 years of age. He awoke to hear spirits crying from his surroundings, but could not figure out where from. He wandered for days trying to find it until he was discovered by Master Gekkai, and taken into his village. He remained there for five years before escaping to Eorzea because of the Garlean Empire's siege on Doma, which he believed to claim the life of his master, and his adoptive parents

===Adulthood===
J'ikan arrived in Eorzea by ship, beginning his new life in Limsa Lominsa. With the skills he gained in Doma, he was able to work as a mercenary to make ends meet, but wanted a more stable life. He found some work as a calendar model, which caused him to meet Kehda Mercer. She would serve to be his teacher in the years to come, and his caretaker for the years after. He eventually left to study the spirits which he had heard for so many years, hoping to unlock their secrets to strengthen his ninjutsu. While traveling to Gridania, he met another Miqo'te by the name of M'dhori Rhea, who could hear the aether in the air. They became fast friends, and even helped each other with their studies. They eventually parted ways, but his knowledge had grown from his time with her. To this day he still travels, studying the world, and the spirits that inhabit it.
