A man of unknown origins to the denizens of Eorzea, Alistair Phoenix is a bright individual with a thirst for knowledge of the arcane and the magic arts. He is currently living in the Lavender Beds at the Lily Hills Apartments. He is often accompanied by an Emerald Carbuncle and/or a small animal.

===Appearance===
Alistair stands at 6' and has a fair complexion. He has short, black hair but in the past he kept it long enough to reach mid-back. He has amber colored eyes and is often seen wearing spectacles, pince-nez, or other vision-improving eyewear. He often wears loose clothing, favoring clothes that allow him to breathe and disliking clothes that are skin-tight. Alistair has a slight athletic build due to his travels and the nature of his work upon the sea-faring vessel in the harbors of Limsa Lominsa.

Alistair can be a pleasant person to speak with as well as a good listener. He will often be there to listen to anyone who may want to speak their mind. He is shown to be rather kind and quite forgiving, though at times some may wonder if he can be too forgiving. He carries himself as a person who is well-mannered, polite, and seemingly regal. He is more of an optimist, often seeing the glass as half-full. Yet, if too much seems to spiral out of control, his optimistic attitude may start to waver.

He can often be seen as a goof whenever apples and fluffy animals are involved, often acting out against his normal character by talking obsessively about them whenever one speaks to him about the subject.
A rather soft-spoken man, Alistair is one to try and avoid any altercation or any dilemma that may anger anyone he speaks to, one to err on the side of caution. However, this does not mean he will always avoid conflict. Should anything threaten his family or livelihood he will seek out a solution, whether by words or by force.

Alistair can be a rather curious individual. There were times that, upon seeing something he finds new and/or amazing, he would become easily distracted; even if said object or visual is nothing special. (For Example: When he saw a Chocobo for the first time.)

It is said she died protecting her comrades as they fall back from the frontlines of the Dravanian invasion. Alistair buried Kairi in the ruins of her fallen clan.

Still, it was her outgoing attitude and her adventurous behavior that brought him into her clutches in the first place. That or the fact he was chased by this axe wielding Miqo'te that wanted to kill him for the price that was put on his head. Even though she never claimed him for that bounty, she did claim him in other ways. At one point, she wanted him to join her Trading Company and enticed him with the promise of not attempting to kill him anymore. Alistair had signed the contract and signed it with his blood but he failed to read the last page, which was a marriage certificate. So not only was he bound to her by contract labor but also by matrimony. Alistair was surprised at first but he did not seem to mind all that much after a while. Eventually, the weight of the guilt was too much and she then returned the certificate to set him free.

He acknowledges him for the amount of knowledge he holds and sees him as his better. However, their first meeting would not have been quite what he expected. He persisted even after a poor first impression. At least, what he thought was a poor first impression. While she was a bit abrasive towards him, it did not deter him from what he sought from her. An apprenticeship, a mentor, a teacher. Though eventually Freya would bestow upon him the knowledge and training in the elements of magic with each random encounter. While the training may seem harsh and humiliating from the outside, Alistair knew that this was all part of the process. Yet, not once did he question why he was being used as a bench.

This young Miqo'te seems to only have one goal in life, and that is to see people happy. Often going to great lengths to bring a smile to someone's face, Connor would even risk his own well-being for the sake of others. This trait tends to make him fast friends, though others tend to think of him as being too naive or idealistic. Despite his frail body type, his magical capabilities are rather high and his quick thinking has helped him on more than one occasion.

He lived most of his life in the deserts of Thanalan with his clan. Growing up there was not easy, as his weak frame made him an easy target for bullying. He was subjected to both physical and verbal abuse by some of the stronger men in his clan, something that would eventually attribute to his hatred of arrogance and the tribal customs. The only thing that kept him from going mad was the occasional intervention from a kind man named Joshua Tavarin. Joshua was an old Hyur man who would visit the clan for trading purposes. Whenever he visited, he often stayed for a couple of days and told Connor stories of adventure and romance, of great heroes who would do whatever it took to see the people happy and safe. He grew to respect Joshua as a father more than his actual father and Joshua even told him he would bring him with him next time he came to trade. Connor agreed wholeheartedly because anything would be better than staying with his clan at this point. However, that would not come to pass, as Joshua's corpse was discovered on the road several weeks later. Devastated by his death, Connor packed what he could and left his clan, changing his name to Connor Tavarin in honor of his father-figure.

Since his departure, Connor studied conjury under E-Sumi-Yan for a few years and discovered he seemed to have a talent for it. As he neared the end of his training, he heard word of a free company known as the Harbingers of Dawn. Interested in what it would be like to be in a free company, he sought them out and applied to join. After passing the initial trial period, he seemed to make an impression on the crafting branch of the company to the point Saint Raisan Arcmantle appointed him the company weaver, a title he holds with pride.
===Appearance===
Being raised in the deserts of Thanalan before officially moving to Gridania, Connor has a distinctly tan skin color. He has long, dark brown hair and his face is youthful with no blemishes aside from a scar on his right cheek, possibly gained from one of his battles against one of his clan's Nunhs. He has odd colored eyes, his right eye dark blue and his left eye dark green. One aspect about his body he's not proud of is how frail he looks as this has given him much trouble his entire life. He is about six fulms (feet) tall but has a low body weight in comparison to his height. In terms of clothing, whenever he's not wearing his Oasis Tunic or his Weaving gear he is typically seen wearing long flowing robes, usually of a black and white coloration. He only wears the robes when his conjury is needed or if he needs to look formal.

Extremely nice and kind to people by default, Connor enjoys making new friends and making people happy. With an ever-present smile, he goes about his day and enjoys every moment he's among good company. Though plagued with some confidence issues due to his upbringing, he refuses to let that get in the way of him developing good relationships with his friends and allies.
