''Upon First Sight:'' The Hyur woman stood with her back against the wall, her arms crossed over her chest. She took note of each door as her eyes danced across the room and mentally cataloged anyone who looked even the slightest bit suspicious. The woman's features contradicted with one another in a unique sort of way. Her face was soft and rounded, making her look six years younger than her actual age. However, her eyes looked as if she had seen enough combat to last a lifetime, holding a bit of sadness within them. Her body posture showed that she was alert and ready to spring into active at the drop of a hat, and other than her freckled, round cheeks, everything about her showed that she was on guard.
 
Her eyes never stopped dancing around the room, lingering longer on the Au Ra and Miqo'te in the room than the other patrons of the Quicksand. The woman had a habit of staring a bit longer than normal, usually only averting her eyes when they looked in her direction. She was doing it for the sake of being rude; she just couldn't help but be fascinated by the races' appearance.

Most have never heard of her homeland, it barely being able to consider itself a continent and being rather secluded from the outside world. Anata often states that she had no idea Eorzea even existed--or such a place ''could'' exist--before taking her first step on Eorzean soil. She often comes off as being antisocial or reclusive but such accusations couldn't be further from the truth.
She often finds herself lost in her own thoughts and finds comfort in loud places that keep her from being alone in her head for too long.
