Jacques carries himself with all the air one would expect of an upper-class Ishgardian. He speaks with elegance and courtesy. He's a quick minded young man, with a sharp wit, and a thirst for knowledge. Though, he can appear aloof and reserved, Jacques has a warm heart that he keeps guarded. He has a generally optimistic view-point, though he weighs his decisions with that Ishgardian realism. He can easily come off as older than he truly is, though even he has his moments when it becomes blatantly clear he is still only nineteen years old. He can be stubborn and once he's made up his mind on something he's not wont to change his opinion.

: ♥ [[Guillaume Durand]] - Jacques' eldest (living) paternal uncle, and his role-model. Gill practically raised him, and everything he truly learned about his house, his bloodline, and his morals came from Guillaume. He feels that his uncle can be a bit suffocating in his protective demeanor, but he's just glad to have him back.
: ♥ [[Olivaux Durand]] - Jacques' other uncle, the youngest of his grandfather's boys. He admires the way Uncle Ollie seems to just be able to take everything in stride, always sure-footed and confident. Though, his uncle is a bit of a thrill-seeker, and Jacques always feels he's just one turn away from getting into trouble he can't get out of when around Ollie.

Jacques took a personal interest in the Ishgardian Wildwood's plight, offering her the aid of his house during a final confrontation with the fugitive of House Dzemael. Since then, he has attempted to breech a friendship, but seems to be met with with pleasantries of business.

Though helping Azazelle, he also in turn helped Vianne. He has also attempted a friendship with her, but he's unsure of how successful his attempts have been.
: ● [[Ardent Dawn]] - A wonderful Roegadyn woman whom he has only just recently met. She runs the bath house for Ravenstar, and her own business elsewhere. They met in the mentioned bath house, though Jacques feels he made an utter fool of himself, though enjoyed his interactions with Ardent.
