== Basic Information ==

* Has attained field command rank within the Maelstrom, though is on “extended loan” to Ishgard. His exact bureaucratic situation is a little messy, but it basically boils back down to “adventurer.”
* Has studied with literally every warguild in the Eorzean Alliance to some degree.
* Has been practically everywhere in Eorzea, usually either because he’s hunting a beasty or because there’s a skirmish going on there.
* Was part of Operation Archon, and was involved in the Steps of Faith incident. Boots on the ground both times.
* Originally from one of the Moon Keeper communities in the deep Shroud. Quarrymill was his first taste of “real” civilization.
* Has gained a bit of a reputation as a dragon-hunter, and is a full-titled dragoon, though Ishgardians still give him the stinkeye for being a foreigner. The dragoons don’t care as much because anyone that can reliably kill the larger dragonkin is someone to be valued.
* Has trained more than his fair share of Fresh Young Things in the art of which end of the pointy thing to hold. Is generally a patient and careful tutor, but brooks no shit. You don’t want to listen to him, you can leave, he has better things to do than coddle your delicate feefees.
* Is pushing 50, so all the above has occurred over that stretch of time, too.
* Is surprisingly strong for a Miqo'te of his size. We’re talking “can manhandle Roegadyn.” Getting punched full-power by him leaves dents in armor.

Tall for a Miqo’te, with a strong yet slim build. Looks like he clambers around trees a lot, with strong hands and good balance. Black hair and fur with faint, dark green highlights here and there. Keeps his hair braided up to keep it out of the way, but if he ever unbound it there’d be a lot!

You might get more activity out of a hamster. He’s even less active than “normal” folk, to the point where someone relying on aetheric senses might actually miss him entirely.

Khebi's fairly young as adventurers go. She received her Arcanist accreditation surprisingly early, though not to the degree that policy had to be sidestepped. She just showed a remarkable brilliance when it came to arcanisty and the higher maths. Unfortunately, her genius did not extend to things like more worldly matters. Or general coordination (she has a tendency to fall down stairs if she's not paying attention).

But she's a sweet girl, always willing to help out and always looking for the good in others. Most of her peers are willing to accept that she's just got her mind on multidimensional computations instead of things like "walking without running into things."

First off, Khebi is teeny. She's short and kind of scrawny, like she sometimes forgets to eat enough. She keeps her blond hair short (or it just ends up that way after trimming off the scorched bits), has freckles, and sometimes remembers she needs glasses for distance. She can frequently be found with ink stains on her everything.

While she has a delightfully active aura, Khebi's actual aetheric activity levels aren't much higher than your average civilian, basically just enough to give her a bit of an aetheric sense. No bonfire of magic here, practically all of her arcanistry is based on natural aetheric interactions and geometries.

** Less frequently she's been spotted in the Black Shroud poking about various Amdapori ruins, though again this is usually in the company of Strapping Young Adventurers to dissuade local wildlife from interfering.
* She has a lab of sorts within the Arcanist Guild, where she conducts experiments and research.
** This lab is rumored to have some sort of emergency system to launch troublesome experiments (or irritating lab assistants/Carbuncles) out over Limsa Bay.
** Just what she's researching is both highly technical (we're talking 500gil words here) and pretty obscure. Even some of the other arcanists seem unsure just what she's after.
** She's come out with some marvelous theories in regards to aetheric associations and behavior, though. A few have even resulted in things like increased energy efficiency within aethernet transit networks!

Blind as a bat, with the reflective coating all Dunesfolk have on their eyes having grown so think with age that he can only see if the light is painfully bright to other folks.

== General Information ==

Oriane is the personal servant of [[Aumeric Chassebel]]'s [[Duskwight Clans#Clan Astrech.C3.A8re|family]], tasked with keeping an eye on their wayward charge. In the past she has employed her diverse set of skills to serve the Astrechère family in everything from serving tea to disposing of still-warm corpses, and has perfected that often-mentioned quality servants have of simply not being noticed. Many times people walk right past her without realizing she's in the room with them.

She is frequently sent out into the world to deal with various tasks for her lady, endeavors which involve her taking on a host of assumed identities. She is enlisted within the Yellow Serpents. She is a blade for hire in Ul'dah. She is a serving lass in Limsa Lominsa. Names, mannerisms, and even her voice changes to suite the situation at hand, and many that have met her in more than one persona fail to realize she is the same woman.

Many would call her sinister at best. But to Oriane, it's all just a job, one that she performs with all the focus and care of a goldsmith bent over his raw gems.
