He came from a region called Ronfaure. Spawned just east of the Cheval river, where he spent most of his young life. He never had a father or mother. No siblings or a family of any kind. One night he was chased by a fierce storm, forced to become lost in the halls of Bostaunieux Oubliette. And in those halls he discovered the magic of metamorphosis. He rid himself of his Elvaan body, and become a Hume, the people he always had envied. He developed a love for magic. He studied all the elements. He found himself becoming more powerful, more adventurous. Leaning towards darkness and hearing the voices of ancient evils, he become very dark with his magic, casting powerful spells and playing evil and forbidden tunes. Altana had been watching his carelessness and cruelty. He had discovered, along with everyone else in Vana Diel, many mysterious foreboding cavernous maws. These maws were leading everyone back into the era of the Crystal War. The beginning of his curse started one late moonless night walking back to one of these maws in Rolanberry Fields. He became startled by the bright light of a peaceful fairy. In an unfortunate reaction he burned the fairy into ashes. He knew that the ever loving sprites meant no harm to anyone. The fairies were sent down by Altana to help her children during the Crystal Era. He knew he had to return back to his original time. He thought that if he entered cavernous maw, he would escape the treachery of what he has done. In despair and pain he started to feel very tired, barely making out the vision of the cavernous maw. A murderer in the eyes of Altana. Entering the maw he becomes banished… Lost in a sky of darkness. He will never return home, never seen again in Vana Diel. … He hears the dark voices again but they are much different, more personal. In the darkness Chaz Diaga sees a light. It speaks to him… Hear… Feel… Think…

Chaz came from a region called Ronfaure. He spawned just east of the Cheval river, where he spent most of his young life. He never had a father or mother. No siblings or a family of any kind. One night he was chased by a fierce storm, forced to become lost in the halls of Bostaunieux Oubliette. And in those halls he discovered the magic of metamorphosis, and rid himself of his Elvaan body, and become a Hume, the people he always envied. Chaz also developed an envy of magic. He studied all the elements. He found himself becoming more powerful, more adventurous. Leaning towards darkness and hearing the voices of ancient evils. Casting dark magic and playing evil and forbidden tunes. Chaz knew that Altana had been watching but continued on in carelessness. Chaz, along with everyone else in Vana diel were discovering many mysterious foreboding cavernous maws appearing. These maws were leading everyone back into the era of the Crystal War. One moonless night walking back to one of these maws in Rolanberry Fields, Chaz became startled by the bright light of a peaceful fairy. In an unfortunate reaction Chaz killed the Sprite, burning it into bone and ashes.Chaz was saddened at what he had done. He knew that the ever loving sprites meant no harm to anyone.
