Reylan Voss is a man of honor and loyalty. Through many years as a soldier and covert operative he has been shaped into the man he is today. He will fight for the lowly and needy. Impelled by a sense of justice, he will do what he must, even if it means fulfilling justice outside the bounds of the law.

=Appearance=

Through hours of laborious venture into the world, Reylan's strength is reflected through his chiseled body. Medium length, unkempt yet styled blonde hair shines over his tan body. He stands tall for a midlander, around 5'8". People who are sailors or lived a life of sea-faring will immediately recognize his body as that of a sailor. In addition to his bodily appearance, his eyes are deep blue, nearly matching the sea he was raised on.

=Behavior=
Reylan was a man filled with darkness and sorrow due to traumatic loss. He is not corruptible; with a very strong mind he follows his own moral compass. He is calm and collected; focused. His driving force is his love and concern for his wife. While he may worry too much at times and can be overconfident, this does not get in the way of his work. Reylan is fiercely loyal to his his wife. He never loses his temper with those he cares about. He always speaks in a kind, calm, and gentle voice (even if it is not emoted).

=Abilities/Skills=

Reylan's main military strength is his sword. He lent his blade to the city-states after the Calamity, scouring the land of evil Imperials and feral beasts. Though not violent in nature, Reylan will not hesitate to pierce the body of a threatening foe, especially one who disrespects women. A man of a few different talents, he will assume whatever role necessary to make sure he protects the realm and the planet. Reylan himself is nearly a martial weapon and the way he fights is almost like an elegant dance. His movements are precise and calculated, even suffering blows in order to expose his targets to the fatal edge of his blade or a crippling move in close quarter combat.

=Background=

Reylan is a military man. He served the three Grand City States during and after the Calamity. Currently he runs a private inspector firm that specializes in heinous sex crimes and child abductions. Before that, Reylan was a sailor. His father owned a fleet of ships used to charter goods. After his father passed away in sleep, he inherited the fleet. It was at sometime during the Calamity that all of it was lost; everything Reylan loved was gone in an instant with no recollection of what happened and who he lost. All he knew was that something was missing and he knew naught of what it was.

The conversation started off rather goofy on Reylan's part, but after some random encounters he found himself wanting to see Salem again. He enjoyed her company and conversation. It did not take long for him to fall in love with her. Though there is quite a gap in their age, Reylan finds her spirit of independence attractive, her laugh captivating, and her qualities endearing. He enjoys spoiling her with attention, cooking, and teasing her whenever he gets the opportunity. Her sassy attitude is something else that he loves and he will counter with his own when he gets the chance. Salem is also the reason Reylan decided to start his own private investigation firm, which they run together.

Reylan can be anywhere, really. He's from Limsa Lominsa, so is there often. His work takes him all over and can be found at taverns.

* People to investigate. Reylan is an inspector of crimes involving sexual assault, kidnapping, and subsequent murders involving the aforementioned. I'd love to put Reylan on the case!

* Character mutilation, including, but not limited to: Killing, scarring, attacking, stabbing, hitting, clubbing, antagonizing, emotional tumult, and more
* Complete breakage of lore. Honestly, I don't know it all, nor do I really care to. Just don't bring me a character that can fly and is superhuman.

===Other Notes===
Forgive me if I don't use Eorzean terms. It's enough to remember my character's age and height and weight in real world terms, let alone Eorzean. I follow the KISS principle; Keep It Simple Stupid. When my character speaks, it will be in a way that is easily understood by anyone. Not all understand archaic English. While I avoid terms such as "awesome" and "gnarly" I do use somewhat modernized English.

Reylan's main military strength is his sword. He lent his blade to the city-states after the Calamity, scouring the land of evil Imperials and feral beasts. The conversation started off rather goofy on Reylan's part, but after some random encounters he found himself wanting to see Salem again. He enjoyed her company and conversation. Though there is quite a gap in their age, Reylan finds her spirit of independence attractive, her laugh captivating, and her qualities endearing. Forgive me if I don't use Eorzean terms. It's enough to remember my character's age and height and weight in real world terms, let alone Eorzean. I follow the KISS principle; Keep It Simple Stupid. When my character speaks, it will be in a way that is easily understood by anyone. Not all understand archaic English. While I avoid terms such as "awesome" and "gnarly" I do use somewhat modernized English.

♥ 💑 ♥ '''[[Maiko Argonar]]:''' She was a ghost. Not an apparition, but something that haunted Desmond. She was a remnant of his past, one he could not shake the feeling of having familiarity with. However, as every dream ended, so did the returning memory of her. It was an intense love from long ago that ended for unknown reasons. The sad truth: a curse meant that she could remember him, but he could not remember her. This went on until they met in the present; a strange investigative case brought them together. Deja vu sunk in for Desmond. This mystery became more important than any other as he unraveled fragmented memories. Soon enough, Maiko stumbled into an area of Desmond's home that held trinkets. One such trinket was a locket that he gave her shortly after their son, Rylan, was born. The locket was a silver heart that contained a picture of their happy family. This was the link from past to present. It brought his memories flooding back and his love for Maiko was remembered. Desmond's main military strength is his sword. He lent his blade as aid after the Calamity, scouring the land of evil Imperials and feral beasts. Though not violent in nature, Desmond will not hesitate to pierce the body of a threatening foe, especially one who disrespects women. A man of a few different talents, Desmond will assume whatever role necessary to make sure he protects the realm and the planet. Desmond himself is nearly a martial weapon and the way he fights is almost like an elegant dance. His movements are precise and calculated, even suffering blows in order to expose his targets to the fatal edge of his blade or a crippling move in close quarter combat.

Desmond is a military man. He served the three Grand City States during and after the Calamity. Currently he serves the city states as an inspector that specializes in heinous sex crimes and child abductions. Before that, Desmond was a sailor. His father owned a fleet of ships used to charter goods. After Desmond's father passed away in sleep, he inherited the fleet. It was at sometime during the Calamity that all of it was lost; everything Desmond loved was gone in an instant with no recollection of what happened and who he lost. All he knew was that something was missing and he knew naught of what it was.

Paul Desmond is a man filled with darkness and sorrow. Yet, he is not corruptible; with a very strong mind he follows his own moral compass. Paul is calm and collected; focused. His driving force is his anger, fear, suffering, and pain. He has no weakness. His emotions are sealed tight. If the right person came along, he may open up. Though Paul does at times spend the evening with a random woman for mere pleasure, spend the night consuming rum, or simply find comfort in a female companion, if the right woman opened his heart he would swear his loyalty. When Paul gives a woman his love, it is unwavering loyalty. Even still, the man's a flirt and he will make a flirtatious comment from time to time to other women.

Note: While it is not emoted, Paul's expressions are sorrowful. He puts off a very dark aura by his presence. Nothing magical, of course. It would be more of an uneasy feeling. His mood is very melancholic and is very obvious just by looking at him. If he smiles it is always a sad smile. Any laughs are never of happiness and portrayal of happiness is false. Unless, of course, the aforementioned is described as "genuine" or "kind." This becomes less and less apparent as a conversation progresses. But if Paul is observed alone, the above is difficult to not see.

=Appearance=

Through hours of laborious venture into the world, Paul's strength is reflected through his chiseled body. Medium length, unkempt yet styled blonde hair shines over his tan body. Average height, around 5'8".

People who are sailors or lived a life of sea-faring will immediately recognize Paul's body as that of sailor's. In addition to his bodily appearance, his eyes are deep blue, nearly matching the sea he was raised on.

A pendant (pictured below) is worn around his neck. It has never been taken off and he has worn it all his life. To him, for some reason wearing it gives him a very nostalgic feeling. He can remember a young girl. But as soon as he remembers that, the memory is gone; elusive.

=Behavior=
Paul Desmond is a man filled with darkness and sorrow. Yet, he is not corruptible; with a very strong mind he follows his own moral compass. Paul is calm and collected; focused. His driving force is his anger, fear, suffering, and pain. He has no weakness. His emotions are sealed tight. If the right person came along, he may open up. Though Paul does at times spend the evening with a random woman for mere pleasure, spend the night consuming rum, or simply find comfort in a female companion, if the right woman opened his heart he would swear his loyalty. When Paul gives a woman his love, it is unwavering loyalty. Even still, the man's a flirt and he will make a flirtatious comment from time to time to other women.

Note: While it is not emoted, Paul's expressions are sorrowful. He puts off a very dark aura by his presence. Nothing magical, of course. It would be more of an uneasy feeling. His mood is very melancholic and is very obvious just by looking at him. If he smiles it is always a sad smile. Any laughs are never of happiness and portrayal of happiness is false. Unless, of course, the aforementioned is described as "genuine" or "kind." This becomes less and less apparent as a conversation progresses. But if Paul is observed alone, the above is difficult to not see.

Paul Desmond was a man of honor and loyalty. He commanded respect through his stature, strength, and wealth. He was a paragon of virtue; a knight of the Goddess. Presently Paul has removed himself from his paragon outlook and is impelled by something else; a far greater cause than he can accomplish within the bounds of the law.

=Appearance=

Through hours of laborious venture into the world, Paul's strength is reflected through his chiseled body. Medium length, unkempt yet styled blonde hair shines over his tan body. Average height, around 5'8".

People who are sailors or lived a life of sea-faring will immediately recognize Paul's body as that of sailor's. In addition to his bodily appearance, his eyes are deep blue, nearly matching the sea he was raised on.

A pendant (pictured below) is worn around his neck. It has never been taken off and he has worn it all his life. To him, for some reason wearing it gives him a very nostalgic feeling. He can remember a young girl. But as soon as he remembers that, the memory is gone; elusive.

=Behavior=
Paul Desmond is a man filled with darkness and sorrow. Yet, he is not corruptible; with a very strong mind he follows his own moral compass. Paul is calm and collected; focused. His driving force is his anger, fear, suffering, and pain. He has no weakness. His emotions are sealed tight. If the right person came along, he may open up. Though Paul does at times spend the evening with a random woman for mere pleasure, spend the night consuming rum, or simply find comfort in a female companion, if the right woman opened his heart he would swear his loyalty. When Paul gives a woman his love, it is unwavering loyalty. Even still, the man's a flirt and he will make a flirtatious comment from time to time to other women.

Note: While it is not emoted, Paul's expressions are sorrowful. He puts off a very dark aura by his presence. Nothing magical, of course. It would be more of an uneasy feeling. His mood is very melancholic and is very obvious just by looking at him. If he smiles it is always a sad smile. Any laughs are never of happiness and portrayal of happiness is false. Unless, of course, the aforementioned is described as "genuine" or "kind." This becomes less and less apparent as a conversation progresses. But if Paul is observed alone, the above is difficult to not see.

Paul Desmond's main military strength is his sword. He lent his blade as aid after the Calamity, scouring the land of evil Imperials and feral beasts. Though not violent in nature, Paul will not hesitate to pierce the body of a threatening foe, especially one who disrespects women. A man of a few different talents, Paul will assume whatever role necessary to make sure he protects the Grand City States. Paul himself is nearly a martial weapon and the way he fights is almost like an elegant dance. His movements are precise and calculated, even suffering blows in order to expose his targets to the fatal edge of his blade or a crippling move in close quarter combat.

=Background=

Paul Desmond is a military man. He served the three Grand City States during and after the Calamity. Currently he lives off his wealth and spends his days defending those around him and his close friends. Before that, Paul was a sailor. His father owned a fleet of ships used to charter goods. After Paul's father passed away in sleep, he inherited the business. Around the time Paul was married he sold the business to take care of his wife.

As of late, Paul has been lifted from his down spirits and gloomy outlook. It is all thanks to someone he met and who is very dear to him.

Now that it has been uttered in the air between them, Paul and Aiden confess nothing but affection for each other, so much so that he has asked her to be his wife, which she happily accepted.
