Dyani does not often talk about her past. Formerly Y’dyani, she encountered hardships in her old tribe that it has proved exceedingly difficult to get her to divulge. When asked, she merely states that her father caused problems, and she eventually became a runaway and dropped her tribal letter. After a brief stint in the desert, she eventually settled in Ul’dah. She spent a year on the streets, before scrounging until she could get into her dingy boarding apartment on Pearl Lane.

But when asked, her stories always change in the details .

Morals are a constant grey area for Dyani. She has her own motivations for whatever she does and enjoys playing games with people, no matter how casual and relaxed her demeanor may be. She can be complicated and her stories about herself always change. She moves with a certain swagger and grace and is not what one would consider shy, nor does she respect personal space. She enjoys drawing people in, and usually has not a care in the world and a penchant for alcohol and opiates. She is a very friendly, slightly flirty drunk. She happens to be fairly good at taking care of and looking after intoxicated people. Beyond this, she has a penchant for other illegal activities, as well as sharp objects.

She enjoys dancing and almost never sleeps.

With her spiked hair falling just past jaw-length, sharp eyes and wry smile, Dyani is a small, willowy creature. Short and thin, she still maintains her natural curves, even though she looks a little less than well-fed. Her style of dress is usually simple and comfortable…and sometimes minimal. She’s fond of jewelry, often wearing necklaces, rings, and bracelets. Her face is usually calm and relaxed, with a sarcastic or soft smile, though accented by her sharp gaze. Her hands and fingers are long and thin, her limbs are lithe, and she usually wears a compelling grin.

Rakka'sae Kuhn is the fourth son to a warrior/huntress named Rakka, and identical younger brother of [[Rakka'li Kuhn]]. He was formerly a selective mute, but came to speak again after five years of silence when a painkilling substance clouded his judgment and caused him to accidentally betray his convictions. He is now the more soft-spoken and reserved of the two twin boys.

His and his brother's birth was thought of as a blessing among their now scattered and largely perished tribe because of the extreme rarity of Miqo'te males--much rarer four entire sons, two of which came as a pair.

Dependent to a fault, he dislikes loneliness and will go to great lengths to win the company and favor of others. He warms easily to most strangers, though can be easily put off by insults or rudeness. He can be petty and jealous, and sometimes aggressive, especially when it concerns the well-being of a person he cares about. Otherwise, when on his own or in the familiar company of his brother, he is calm and often quiet.

'''Perceptions:''' Sae takes a keen interest in other races and cultures, curious to discover what more Eorzea has to offer. He is ignorant to most outsiders' ways, but is quick to catch on and learn, although he is implicitly Keeper-centric. He is unlearned, thus, his open-mindedness isn't necessarily equivalent to worldly knowledge, but his self-education is a work in progress for which he shows some promise. He is especially fascinated by women of other races, not terribly picky about who he shares a bed with.

Rakka'sae was the fourth son born to the esteemed tribal warrior and huntress of their small Keeper tribe, Rakka. Rakka was not the chieftainess, but she was highly respected for her prowess in battle and her expertise hunting in the Twelveswood. Already the mother of seven daughters and two sons, she gave birth to twin boys--a rarity among Keepers. The twins were the only third and fourth males born to their tribe, so they came to be known by simply their suffixes: Li and Sae.

Throughout their childhood, the twins exhibited both incredible empathy and jealousy toward one another. At an early age, [[Rakka'li Kuhn|Rakka'li]] began to show an aptitude for leadership. Jealous, Sae often competed with his brother to elevate his standing among their peers and tribe, but he was typically unsuccessful. During one such exhibition, Sae was careless and suffered a terrible wound to his back after plummeting from atop a sycamore.

During his recovery, Sae grew very close to his mother who had kept constant vigil over him. Both boys were very close to Rakka, but Sae's connection to her grew particularly strong during this time. This could be said to be the point in life that Sae accepted his natural inclination towards dependence on others. After his recovery, he no longer tried to compete so openly with his brother, instead deferring to his leadership. However, he formed the habit of complaining when his brother acted in ways he disagreed with, rather than trying to take charge himself as he had before. He was thought of as overly talkative, speaking most when nervous, discontent, or hungry for attention. He was frequently told to hold his tongue, but he rarely listened. This persisted in to his teens, when the Calamity occurred.

At fourteen, the twins had been apart when fiery chaos engulfed the village. Terrified out of his wits, he fled, finding himself alone on the outskirts of the settlement. The Twelveswood was burning. That was when Li appeared, running towards him and snatching his hand, pulling him urgently through the woods. They were on foot for hours when Sae was finally able to process what was happening, but he didn't grasp the full gravity of what had been lost. He assumed the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously at Li as he always had, complaining of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more in the hopes of provoking a reply, when finally, Li snapped. His brother unleashed a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With his brother's attention stolen from their surroundings, the beastman gravely wounded Li. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

Knowing that his chatter had drastically lowered Li's guard and resulted in what appeared would be his death, Sae begged for forgiveness. He bargained with the goddess Menphina to spare his brother's life in exchange for a vow of silence. Li did not recover immediately, but he calmed considerably, and Sae went to work dressing his wound with whatever he could find in the vicinity. Some days later, Li recovered well enough to continue along to seek refuge. The minutes-older twin insisted that Rakka'sae needn't take his vow seriously, but Sae held firm to his belief that Li was only spared because he made that bargain. There was tension between them from that point onwards, but despite it, Sae remained silent.

They found themselves in Gridania, where they were forced to quickly adjust to city life. They poached in the Shroud to feed themselves, but eventually started to take odd jobs in exchange for Gil, which was something their tribe very rarely dealt in. Li was frugal, but Sae couldn't grasp the value of money, and spent the entirety of their Gil on several occasions. As the years stretched on, they had survived between the cusp of poverty, and well below it. When Li took dangerous work in Ul'dah, Sae was implicated and unable to save himself. As a consequence, Li gave up his work and they returned to the safety of Gridania, where they both continued taking odd jobs. Sae and Li both eventually learned tradeskills that vastly stabilized their earnings after some reckless investment.

Today, they are still barely above the line of poverty, but they make ends meet. Now they are struggling to pay off a debt to an Elezen benefactor who spared them the coin to see to Sae's expensive back surgery.

Normally, if he is alone, he may appear relaxed or even lethargic, with a lazy saunter and an easy posture. In crowds or in front of strangers, he fluctuates between introverted and curious, either tight-shouldered and cautious, or investigative and animated. When he is angry, he can be sulky or explicitly standoffish. The fold and movement of his ears, and the sway or stillness of his tail are indicators of moods that he rarely thinks to hide. When he was mute, he only used hand gestures to communicate, but did not know or understand any formal sign language. He was more keen to engage in a constant game of charades. Now that he speaks, he still tends to gesture as he does so out of habit.

Together since birth, Sae cannot imagine his life with Li. He admires him greatly, though they are prone to sibling rivalry and disagreements. Li is Sae's best friend, although they often fail to understand one another. He loves his brother dearly, but is also intimidated by him from time to time.

===[[Lyrielle Bellemonte]]===
Having met her at an unexpected gathering at a tavern, she was among the first that Sae began to use his new-found verbal abilities. He was intrigued by the seemingly perpetual blush on her cheeks, and her tale about suffering amnesia. In the meetings following, he learned that she was being pursued by dangerous people, and he offered his bed to her in the event that she needed a place to stay in Gridania. To ensure her safety, he has enlisted the help of the former Soliloquy patrons [[Daghbheri Himalspyr]] and [[Kannadi Albedo]], procuring a linkshell for the woman. For his hospitality, she has offered help in watching after [[Lhei Nizhoni]]. In the midst of all of this, Sae also developed arguably romantic feelings for Lyrielle, and she is the first he has ever promised to commit to as an exclusive lover.

===[[Lhei Nizhoni]]===
A young girl that Sae is protective of. He thinks she's a touch immature and holds nothing in the way of lust for her, but he does feel like a protective older brother. He often worries for her safety and well-being, and frets when she is lost, reckless, or enduring overly harsh criticisms from her real older brother. He genuinely enjoys her company and likes to play with her as though he too were a child.

First meeting her due to his patronage to the [[Soliloquy Tavern]], Sae quite enjoys Xenedra's affections and companionship. He is taken with her strength, not worrying as he does with other Seeker females, that she might be subject to strange Seeker customs. He celebrates her freedom from what he believed to be her Nunh, and remains her shy adorer, out to please her in any way he can. It could be said that he fell in love with this woman, with no desire to keep her all to himself, but a desperate desire not to lose her to her tendency to commit to one man. Since she has taken up an exclusive lover, Sae has been less-than-cheery, and wary of any male she might be seen in the company of.

Meeting him first through the free company, Sentinel's Ark, Sae more or less dislikes this man. He has accepted that his brother will continue to interact with him, but Sae doesn't quite know what to make of him. He is hot, then cold, having attacked Li on at least two occasions in front of him, then sincerely apologized while offering sensitive information about himself that could be used against him.

Knowing her through his brother, Sae has come to think of Kaahi as something of a sister. At first, he spooked this Keeper girl with his unwanted advances which provoked a violent reaction from her, after which he decided it was better to keep his distance. He enjoys teasing her and thinks she is something of a brat, but ultimately likes her.

===[[Deirdre Ta'ea]]===
After a few unpleasant encounters, he has labeled this one a dangerous stranger. He believes she may be mentally unstable and harbors defensive hostility for her. He has tried to overcome this due to his brother's strange trust for her, but he is ever wary. She hasn't done anything further to convince him that she is totally insane, but she's done little to assure him otherwise as well.

A woman who's a little rough-around-the-edges, Sae quite liked that she still thought of lovemaking in the same way that he did, and he was happy to join her almost immediately upon their first meeting. He learned that she has children, and that she leaves males to raise them, finding that a little strange.

===[[Dweia Delacroix]]===
He met this Hyur woman when he overheard a conversation about the strange cultures of Miqo'te. Feeling he had been misrepresented, he interjected and educated her and her friends about Keeper culture. Since then, they have met a few times over, and he is rather fond of her. Like Lyrielle, he is very interested in her, but isn't certain how exactly to court a Hyur.

The elder brother of Lhei, this man frustrates Sae. Between his verbally abusive behavior towards his younger sister, and his tendency to be overly aggressive, Sae is often on the defensive around him. Because Sae has heard rumors about Tempering, he strongly believes this fate may have befallen Reis'a and Lhei's mother, but Reis'a stubbornly denies it. Sae and Reis'a have come to blows before.

He took an immediate interest in her, fond of her flustered reaction to his advances. He counts her among his friends, and has hope that she will not succumb to her own Seeker culture, or the city lifestyle, both of which he finds terribly oppressive. He cares for her and has enjoyed occasional tumbles with her. He also rather enjoys when she teases him.

He was disenchanted, slightly, to know that she'd allowed herself to be claimed by a male, against what Sae would consider a part of their culture, but is still intrigued nonetheless. A strange Miqo'te that Sae barely knows, he is intrigued by her face painting and mismatched eyes. He knows little about her other than that she has a sister that she hasn't seen for some time. She seems timid.

Having never dealt much with Roegadyn people, Sae finds Fearless to be a curious wonder. He considers him a friendly acquaintance who he is always pleased to see when out and about. Around Fearless, he is free to act childishly, for which he is thankful.

Having met this once mute Lalafell while lost in Ul'dah, Sae was immediately intrigued by the man. Arguably the first Lalafell to engage him in conversation, Lainseworth is someone Sae would consider a friend, though he knows very little about him, yet.

Rakka'sae Kuhn is the fourth son to a warrior/huntress named Rakka, and identical younger brother of [[Rakka'li Kuhn]]. He was formerly a selective mute, but came to speak again after five years of silence when a painkilling substance clouded his judgment and caused him to accidentally betray his convictions. He is now the more soft-spoken and reserved of the two twin boys.

His and his brother's birth was thought of as a blessing among their now scattered and largely perished tribe because of the extreme rarity of Miqo'te males--much rarer four entire sons, two of which came as a pair.

Rakka'sae was the fourth son born to the esteemed tribal warrior and huntress of their small Keeper tribe, Rakka. Rakka was not the chieftainess, but she was highly respected for her prowess in battle and her expertise hunting in the Twelveswood. Already the mother of seven daughters and two sons, she gave birth to twin boys--a rarity among Keepers. The twins were the only third and fourth males born to their tribe, so they came to be known by simply their suffixes: Li and Sae.

Throughout their childhood, the twins exhibited both incredible empathy and jealousy toward one another. At an early age, [[Rakka'li Kuhn|Rakka'li]] began to show an aptitude for leadership. Jealous, Sae often competed with his brother to elevate his standing among their peers and tribe, but he was typically unsuccessful. During one such exhibition, Sae was careless and suffered a terrible wound to his back after plummeting from atop a sycamore.

During his recovery, Sae grew very close to his mother who had kept constant vigil over him. Both boys were very close to Rakka, but Sae's connection to her grew particularly strong during this time. This could be said to be the point in life that Sae accepted his natural inclination towards dependence on others. After his recovery, he no longer tried to compete so openly with his brother, instead deferring to his leadership. However, he formed the habit of complaining when his brother acted in ways he disagreed with, rather than trying to take charge himself as he had before. He was thought of as overly talkative, speaking most when nervous, discontent, or hungry for attention. He was frequently told to hold his tongue, but he rarely listened. This persisted in to his teens, when the Calamity occurred.

At fourteen, the twins had been apart when fiery chaos engulfed the village. Terrified out of his wits, he fled, finding himself alone on the outskirts of the settlement. The Twelveswood was burning. That was when Li appeared, running towards him and snatching his hand, pulling him urgently through the woods. They were on foot for hours when Sae was finally able to process what was happening, but he didn't grasp the full gravity of what had been lost. He assumed the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously at Li as he always had, complaining of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more in the hopes of provoking a reply, when finally, Li snapped. His brother unleashed a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With his brother's attention stolen from their surroundings, the beastman gravely wounded Li. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

Knowing that his chatter had drastically lowered Li's guard and resulted in what appeared would be his death, Sae begged for forgiveness. He bargained with the goddess Menphina to spare his brother's life in exchange for a vow of silence. Li did not recover immediately, but he calmed considerably, and Sae went to work dressing his wound with whatever he could find in the vicinity. Some days later, Li recovered well enough to continue along to seek refuge. The minutes-older twin insisted that Rakka'sae needn't take his vow seriously, but Sae held firm to his belief that Li was only spared because he made that bargain. There was tension between them from that point onwards, but despite it, Sae remained silent.

They found themselves in Gridania, where they were forced to quickly adjust to city life. They poached in the Shroud to feed themselves, but eventually started to take odd jobs in exchange for Gil, which was something their tribe very rarely dealt in. Li was frugal, but Sae couldn't grasp the value of money, and spent the entirety of their Gil on several occasions. As the years stretched on, they had survived between the cusp of poverty, and well below it. When Li took dangerous work in Ul'dah, Sae was implicated and unable to save himself. As a consequence, Li gave up his work and they returned to the safety of Gridania, where they both continued taking odd jobs. Sae and Li both eventually learned tradeskills that vastly stabilized their earnings after some reckless investment.

Today, they are still barely above the line of poverty, but they make ends meet. Now they are struggling to pay off a debt to an Elezen benefactor who spared them the coin to see to Sae's expensive back surgery.

Having met her at an unexpected gathering at a tavern, she was among the first that Sae began to use his new-found verbal abilities. He was intrigued by the seemingly perpetual blush on her cheeks, and her tale about suffering amnesia. In the meetings following, he learned that she was being pursued by dangerous people, and he offered his bed to her in the event that she needed a place to stay in Gridania. He rather likes her, and has enlisted her help with Lhei before.

First meeting her due to his patronage to the [[Soliloquy Tavern]], Sae quite enjoys Xenedra's affections and companionship. He is taken with her strength, not worrying as he does with other Seeker females, that she might be subject to strange Seeker customs. He celebrates her freedom from what he believed to be her Nunh, and remains her shy adorer, out to please her in any way he can. It could be said that he fell in love with this woman, with no desire to keep him all to himself, but a desperate desire not to lose her to her tendency to commit to one man. Since she has taken up an exclusive lover, Sae has been less-than-cheery, and wary of any male she might be seen in the company of.

Meeting him first through the free company, Sentinel's Ark, Sae more or less dislikes this man. He has accepted that his brother will continue to interact with him, but Sae doesn't quite know what to make of him. He is hot, then cold, having attacked Li on at least two occasions in front of him, then sincerely apologized while offering sensitive information about himself that could be used against him.

Rakka'sae Kuhn is the fourth son to a warrior/huntress named Rakka, and identical younger brother of [[Rakka'li Kuhn]]. He was formerly a selective mute, but came to speak again after five years of silence when a painkilling substance clouded his judgment and caused him to accidentally betray his convictions. He is now the more soft-spoken and reserved of the two twin boys.

His and his brother's birth was thought of as a blessing among their now scattered and largely perished tribe because of the extreme rarity of Miqo'te males--much rarer four entire sons, two of which came as a pair.

Rakka'sae was the fourth son born to the esteemed tribal warrior and huntress of their small Keeper tribe, Rakka. Rakka was not the chieftainess, but she was highly respected for her prowess in battle and her expertise hunting in the Twelveswood. Already the mother of seven daughters and two sons, she gave birth to twin boys--a rarity among Keepers. The twins were the only third and fourth males born to their tribe, so they came to be known by simply their suffixes: Li and Sae.

Throughout their childhood, the twins exhibited both incredible empathy and jealousy toward one another. At an early age, [[Rakka'li Kuhn|Rakka'li]] began to show an aptitude for leadership. Jealous, Sae often competed with his brother to elevate his standing among their peers and tribe, but he was typically unsuccessful. During one such exhibition, Sae was careless and suffered a terrible wound to his back after plummeting from atop a sycamore.

During his recovery, Sae grew very close to his mother who had kept constant vigil over him. Both boys were very close to Rakka, but Sae's connection to her grew particularly strong during this time. This could be said to be the point in life that Sae accepted his natural inclination towards dependence on others. After his recovery, he no longer tried to compete so openly with his brother, instead deferring to his leadership. However, he formed the habit of complaining when his brother acted in ways he disagreed with, rather than trying to take charge himself as he had before. He was thought of as overly talkative, speaking most when nervous, discontent, or hungry for attention. He was frequently told to hold his tongue, but he rarely listened. This persisted in to his teens, when the Calamity occurred.

At fourteen, the twins had been apart when fiery chaos engulfed the village. Terrified out of his wits, he fled, finding himself alone on the outskirts of the settlement. The Twelveswood was burning. That was when Li appeared, running towards him and snatching his hand, pulling him urgently through the woods. They were on foot for hours when Sae was finally able to process what was happening, but he didn't grasp the full gravity of what had been lost. He assumed the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously at Li as he always had, complaining of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more in the hopes of provoking a reply, when finally, Li snapped. His brother unleashed a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With his brother's attention stolen from their surroundings, the beastman gravely wounded Li. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

Knowing that his chatter had drastically lowered Li's guard and resulted in what appeared would be his death, Sae begged for forgiveness. He bargained with the goddess Menphina to spare his brother's life in exchange for a vow of silence. Li did not recover immediately, but he calmed considerably, and Sae went to work dressing his wound with whatever he could find in the vicinity. Some days later, Li recovered well enough to continue along to seek refuge. The minutes-older twin insisted that Rakka'sae needn't take his vow seriously, but Sae held firm to his belief that Li was only spared because he made that bargain. There was tension between them from that point onwards, but despite it, Sae remained silent.

They found themselves in Gridania, where they were forced to quickly adjust to city life. They poached in the Shroud to feed themselves, but eventually started to take odd jobs in exchange for Gil, which was something their tribe very rarely dealt in. Li was frugal, but Sae couldn't grasp the value of money, and spent the entirety of their Gil on several occasions. As the years stretched on, they had survived between the cusp of poverty, and well below it. When Li took dangerous work in Ul'dah, Sae was implicated and unable to save himself. As a consequence, Li gave up his work and they returned to the safety of Gridania, where they both continued taking odd jobs. Sae and Li both eventually learned tradeskills that vastly stabilized their earnings after some reckless investment.

Today, they are still barely above the line of poverty, but they make ends meet. Now they are struggling to pay off a debt to an Elezen benefactor who spared them the coin to see to Sae's expensive back surgery.

A young girl that Sae is protective of. He thinks she's a touch immature and holds nothing in the way of lust for her, but he does feel like a protective older brother. He genuinely enjoys her company and likes to play with her as though he too were a child.

The elder brother of Lhei, this man frustrates Sae. Between his verbally abusive behavior towards his younger sister, and his tendency to be overly aggressive, Sae is often on the defensive around him. Because Sae has heard rumors about Tempering, he strongly believes this fate may have befallen Reis'a and Lhei's mother, but Reis'a stubbornly denies it. Sae and Reis'a have come to blows before.

Having met her at an unexpected gathering at a tavern, she was among the first that Sae began to use his new-found verbal abilities. He was intrigued by the seemingly perpetual blush on her cheeks, and her tale about suffering amnesia. In the meetings following, he learned that she was being pursued by dangerous people, and he offered his bed to her in the event that she needed a place to stay in Gridania. He rather likes her, and has enlisted her help with Lhei before.

First meeting her due to his patronage to the [[Soliloquy Tavern]], Sae quite enjoys Xenedra's affections and companionship. He is taken with her strength, not worrying as he does with other Seeker females, that she might be subject to strange Seeker customs. He celebrates her freedom from what he believed to be her Nunh, and remains her shy adorer, out to please her in any way he can. It could be said that he fell in love with this woman, with no desire to keep him all to himself, but a desperate desire not to lose her to her tendency to commit to one man. Since she has taken up an exclusive lover, Sae has been less-than-cheery, and wary of any male she might be seen in the company of.

Meeting him first through the free company, Sentinel's Ark, Sae more or less dislikes this man. He has accepted that his brother will continue to interact with him, but Sae doesn't quite know what to make of him. He is hot, then cold, having attacked Li on at least two occasions in front of him, then sincerely apologized while offering sensitive information about himself that could be used against him.

Knowing her through his brother, Sae has come to think of Kaahi as something of a sister. At first, he spooked this Keeper girl with his unwanted advances which provoked a violent reaction from her, after which he decided it was better to keep his distance. He enjoys teasing her and thinks she is something of a brat, but ultimately likes her.

===[[Deirdre Ta'ea]]===
After a few unpleasant encounters, he has labeled this one a dangerous stranger. He believes she may be mentally unstable and harbors defensive hostility for her. He has tried to overcome this due to his brother's strange trust for her, but he is ever wary. She hasn't done anything further to convince him that she is totally insane, but she's done little to assure him otherwise as well.

He met this Hyur woman when he overheard a conversation about the strange cultures of Miqo'te. Feeling he had been misrepresented, he interjected and educated her and her friends about Keeper culture. Since then, they have met a few times over, and he is rather fond of her. Like Lyrielle, he is very interested in her, but isn't certain how exactly to court a Hyur.

He took an immediate interest in her, fond of her flustered reaction to his advances. He counts her among his friends, and has hope that she will not succumb to her own Seeker culture, or the city lifestyle, both of which he finds terribly oppressive. He cares for her and has enjoyed occasional tumbles with her. He also rather enjoys when she teases him.

Intrigued to see another Keeper in his least favorite city-state, he approached this one with friendly intent. When he realized she had some sort of agoraphobia, he decided it was best to deal with her in a more intimate setting. He tries hard to keep her calm, but is unsure of how. He is, regardless, very protective of this one.

Intrigued by this Highlander woman, he enjoys teasing her in a flirtatious manner. He finds it difficult to engage her for long before she's irrevocably distracted by something. He thinks of her in an endearing manner, as she's always rather perky, and he rather likes her body too.

Meeting her through his brother Rakka'li, Sae is friendly to and with Kassandra. His overt advances that he often unleashes on the opposite sex are reigned in some for this one, as he worries Li would be offended if he were to try to persuade Kassandra to tumble with him, but he welcomes her affections regardless.

His former free company leader, Sae respected this woman. He is not yet aware that she was transformed from a Miqo'te to a Hyur, and it's not likely he would recognize her. He liked her ability to lead and her innate strength.

Considering him a learned man, Sae respects this man but has seen little of him since their first meeting. He was looking forward to learning how to read and write from him, but has since taken up instruction with Lyrielle instead.

Charmed by this shy Hyur, Sae rather enjoys her. She has an interesting talent that amuses and concerns him simultaneously, and a sweet disposition that he is rather fond of.

Sae cannot remember how exactly he met Vash, but he as seen the Seeker man out on occasion and would consider him an acquaintance. He is one of the few Seeker men he's met that has been easy-going and laid back rather than aggressive and posturing.

Sharing some in common with this Keeper male, Sae feels comfortable with him. He thinks he shares much more in common with his older brother, but is pleased to know another one of his own, and a male to boot. He hopes to see him again.

After an awkward initial meeting with this one, Sae learned a fair bit about her. Initially drawn to her because she was a Keeper, he has met her on several occasions and become quite playful with her, developing what he would consider an easy friendship.

An able-bodied and hard working Roegadyn woman. Sae is impressed by her size and has a surface attraction for her. He is slightly intimidated, however, and he feels sad that she was once a slave against her will.

Charmed by her appearance, Sae was pleased to learn this Keeper girl also had tribal roots. He was disenchanted, slightly, to know that she'd allowed herself to be claimed by a male, against what Sae would consider a part of their culture, but is still intrigued nonetheless. He desires to know more about her, but finds her rather elusive.

A strange Miqo'te that Sae barely knows, he is intrigued by her face painting and mismatched eyes. He knows little about her other than that she has a sister that she hasn't seen for some time. She seems timid.

Having never dealt much with Roegadyn people, Sae finds Fearless to be a curious wonder. He considers him a friendly acquaintance who he is always pleased to see when out and about. Around Fearless, he is free to act childishly, for which he is thankful.

He assumed the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously at Li as he always had, complaining of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more in the hopes of provoking a reply, when finally, Li snapped. His brother unleashed a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With his brother's attention stolen from their surroundings, the beastman gravely wounded Li. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

As the years stretched on, they had survived between the cusp of poverty, and well below it. When Li took dangerous work in Ul'dah, Sae was implicated and unable to save himself. As a consequence, Li gave up his work and they returned to the safety of Gridania, where they both continued taking odd jobs. Sae and Li both eventually learned tradeskills that vastly stabilized their earnings after some reckless investment.

Today, they are still barely above the line of poverty, but they make ends meet. Now they are struggling to pay off a debt to an Elezen benefactor who spared them the coin to see to Sae's expensive back surgery.

He celebrates her freedom from what he believed to be her Nunh, and remains her shy adorer, out to please her in any way he can. It could be said that he fell in love with this woman, with no desire to keep him all to himself, but a desperate desire not to lose her to her tendency to commit to one man. Since she has taken up an exclusive lover, Sae has been less-than-cheery, and wary of any male she might be seen in the company of.

Knowing her through his brother, Sae has come to think of Kaahi as something of a sister. At first, he spooked this Keeper girl with his unwanted advances which provoked a violent reaction from her, after which he decided it was better to keep his distance. He enjoys teasing her and thinks she is something of a brat, but ultimately likes her.

After a few unpleasant encounters, he has labeled this one a dangerous stranger. He believes she may be mentally unstable and harbors defensive hostility for her. He has tried to overcome this due to his brother's strange trust for her, but he is ever wary.

He took an immediate interest in her, fond of her flustered reaction to his advances. He counts her among his friends, and has hope that she will not succumb to her own Seeker culture, or the city lifestyle, both of which he finds terribly oppressive. He cares for her and has enjoyed occasional tumbles with her. He also rather enjoys when she teases him.

Intrigued to see another Keeper in his least favorite city-state, he approached this one with friendly intent. When he realized she had some sort of agoraphobia, he decided it was best to deal with her in a more intimate setting. He tries hard to keep her calm, but is unsure of how. Having met this once mute Lalafell while lost in Ul'dah, Sae was immediately intrigued by the man. Arguably the first Lalafell to engage him in conversation, Lainseworth is someone Sae would consider a friend, though he knows very little about him, yet.

Intrigued by this Highlander woman, he enjoys teasing her in a flirtatious manner. He finds it difficult to engage her for long before she's irrevocably distracted by something. He thinks of her in an endearing manner, as she's always rather perky, and he rather likes her body too.

===[[Kassandra Dawn]]===
Meeting her through his brother Rakka'li, Sae is friendly to and with Kassandra. His overt advances that he often unleashes on the opposite sex are reigned in some for this one, as he worries Li would be offended if he were to try to persuade Kassandra to tumble with him, but he welcomes her affections regardless.

===[[Fearless Wynn]]===
Having never dealt much with Roegadyn people, Sae finds Fearless to be a curious wonder. He considers him a friendly acquaintance who he is always pleased to see when out and about. Around Fearless, he is free to act childishly, for which he is thankful.

===[[Xha'li Moui]]===
Sharing some in common with this Keeper male, Sae feels comfortable with him. He thinks he shares much more in common with his older brother, but is pleased to know another one of his own, and a male to boot. He hopes to see him again.

===[[Hachi Ten'ahn]]===
After an awkward initial meeting with this one, Sae learned a fair bit about her. Initially drawn to her because she was a Keeper, he has met her on several occasions and become quite playful with her, developing what he would consider an easy friendship.

===[[Manari Onai]]===
Charmed by her appearance, Sae was pleased to learn this Keeper girl also had tribal roots. He was disenchanted, slightly, to know that she'd allowed herself to be claimed by a male, against what Sae would consider a part of their culture, but is still intrigued nonetheless. He desires to know more about her, but finds her rather elusive.

Rakka'sae was the fourth son born to the esteemed tribal warrior and huntress of their small Keeper tribe, Rakka. Rakka was not the chieftainess, but she was highly esteemed for her prowess in battle and her expertise hunting in the Twelveswood. Already the mother of seven daughters and two sons, she gave birth to twin boys--a rarity among Keepers. The twins were the only third and fourth males born to their tribe, so they came to be known by simply their suffixes: Li and Sae.

Throughout their childhood, the twins exhibited both incredible empathy and jealousy toward one another. At an early age, [[Rakka'li Kuhn|Rakka'li]] began to show an aptitude for leadership. Jealous, Sae often competed with his brother to elevate his standing among their peers and tribe, but he was typically unsuccessful. During one such exhibition, Sae was careless and suffered a terrible wound to his back after plummeting from a sycamore.

During his recovery, Sae grew very close to his mother who had kept constant vigil over him as he recovered. Both boys were very close to Rakka, but Sae's connection to her grew particularly strong during this time. This could be said to be the point in life that Sae accepted his natural inclination towards dependence on others. After his recovery, he no longer tried to compete so openly with his brother, instead deferring to his leadership. However, he formed the habit of complaining when his brother acted in ways he disagreed with, rather than trying to take charge himself as he had before. He was thought of as overly talkative, speaking most when nervous, discontent, or hungry for attention. He was frequently told to hold his tongue, but he rarely listened. This persisted in to his teens, when the Calamity occurred.

At fourteen, the twins had been apart when fiery chaos engulfed the village. Terrified out of his wits, he fled, finding himself alone on the outskirts of the settlement. The Twelveswood was burning. That was when Li appeared, running towards him and snatching his hand, pulling him urgently through the woods. They were on foot for hours when Sae was finally able to process what was happening, but he didn't grasp the full gravity of what had been lost. He assumed the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously at Li as he always had, complaining of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more in the hopes of provoking a reply, when finally, Li snapped. His brother unleashed a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With his brother's attention stolen from their surroundings, the beastman gravely wounded Li. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

Knowing that his chatter had drastically lowered Li's guard and resulted in what appeared would be his death, Sae begged for forgiveness. He bargained with his guardian, Menphina, to spare his brother's life in exchange for a vow of silence. Li did not recover immediately, but he calmed considerably, and Sae went to work dressing his wound with whatever he could find in the vicinity. Some days later, Li recovered well enough to continue along to seek refuge. The minutes older twin insisted that Rakka'sae needn't take his vow seriously, but Sae held firm to his belief that Li was only spared because he made that bargain. There was tension between them from that point onwards, but despite it, Sae remained silent.

They found themselves in Gridania, where they were forced to quickly adjust to city life. They poached in the Shroud to feed themselves, but eventually started to take odd jobs in exchange for Gil, which was something their tribe very rarely dealt in. Li was frugal, but Sae couldn't grasp the value of money, and spent the entirety of their Gil on several occasions. As the years stretched on, they had survived between the cusp of poverty, and well below it. When Li took dangerous work in Ul'dah, Sae was implicated and unable to save himself. As a consequence, Li gave up his work and they returned to the safety of Gridania, where they both continued taking odd jobs. Sae eventually learned a tradeskill that vastly stabilized their earnings after some reckless investment, and they live relatively comfortable today, never going hungry.

He celebrates her freedom from what he believed to be her Nunh, and remains her shy adorer, out to please her in any way he can.

Having met this once mute Lalafell while lost in Ul'dah, Sae was immediately intrigued by the man. Arguably the first Lalafell to engage him in conversation, Lainseworth is someone Sae would consider a friend, though he knows very little about him, yet.

Intrigued by this Highlander woman, he enjoys teasing her in a flirtatious manner. He finds it difficult to engage her for long before she's irrevocably distracted by something. He thinks of her in an endearing manner, as she's always rather perky, and he rather likes her body too.

Meeting her through his brother Rakka'li, Sae is friendly to and with Kassandra. His overt advances that he often unleashes on the opposite sex are reigned in some for this one, as he worries Li would be offended if he were to try to persuade Kassandra to tumble with him, but he welcomes her affections regardless.

Having never dealt much with Roegadyn people, Sae finds Fearless to be a curious wonder. He considers him a friendly acquaintance who he is always pleased to see when out and about. Around Fearless, he is free to act childishly, for which he is thankful.

After a few unpleasant encounters, he has labeled this one a dangerous stranger. He believes she may be mentally unstable and harbors defensive hostility for her.

Knowing her through his brother, Sae is somewhat wary of Kaahi. He spooked this Keeper girl with his unwanted advances which provoked a violent reaction from her, after which he decided it was better to keep his distance. He is displeased that she presumably deemed his brother unworthy and left without explanation.

===[[Xha'li Moui]]===
Sharing some in common with this Keeper male, Sae feels comfortable with him. He thinks he shares much more in common with his older brother, but is pleased to know another one of his own, and a male to boot. He hopes to see him again.

===[[Hachi Ten'ahn]]===
After an awkward initial meeting with this one, Sae learned a fair bit about her. Initially drawn to her because she was a Keeper, he has met her on several occasions and become quite playful with her, developing what he would consider an easy friendship.

===[[Manari Onai]]===
Charmed by her appearance, Sae was pleased to learn this Keeper girl also had tribal roots. He was disenchanted, slightly, to know that she'd allowed herself to be claimed by a male, against what Sae would consider a part of their culture, but is still intrigued nonetheless. He desires to know more about her, but finds her rather elusive.

Rakka'sae was the fourth son born to the esteemed tribal warrior and huntress of their small Keeper tribe, Rakka. Rakka was not the chieftainess, but she was highly esteemed for her prowess in battle and her expertise hunting in the Twelveswood. Already the mother of seven daughters and two sons, she gave birth to twin boys--a rarity among Keepers. The twins were the only third and fourth males born to their tribe, so they came to be known by simply their suffixes: Li and Sae.

Throughout their childhood, the twins exhibited both incredible empathy and jealousy toward one another. At an early age, [[Rakka'li Kuhn|Rakka'li]] began to show an aptitude for leadership. Jealous, Sae often competed with his brother to elevate his standing among their peers and tribe, but he was typically unsuccessful. During one such exhibition, Sae was careless and suffered a terrible wound to his back after plummeting from a sycamore.

During his recovery, Sae grew very close to his mother who had kept constant vigil over him as he recovered. Both boys were very close to Rakka, but Sae's connection to her grew particularly strong during this time. This could be said to be the point in life that Sae accepted his natural inclination towards dependence on others. After his recovery, he no longer tried to compete so openly with his brother, instead deferring to his leadership. However, he formed the habit of complaining when his brother acted in ways he disagreed with, rather than trying to take charge himself as he had before. He was thought of as overly talkative, speaking most when nervous, discontent, or hungry for attention. He was frequently told to hold his tongue, but he rarely listened. This persisted in to his teens, when the Calamity occurred.

At fourteen, the twins had been apart when fiery chaos engulfed the village. Terrified out of his wits, he fled, finding himself alone on the outskirts of the settlement. The Twelveswood was burning. That was when Li appeared, running towards him and snatching his hand, pulling him urgently through the woods. They were on foot for hours when Sae was finally able to process what was happening, but he didn't grasp the full gravity of what had been lost. He assumed the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously at Li as he always had, complaining of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more in the hopes of provoking a reply, when finally, Li snapped. His brother unleashed a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With his brother's attention stolen from their surroundings, the beastman gravely wounded Li. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

Knowing that his chatter had drastically lowered Li's guard and resulted in what appeared would be his death, Sae begged for forgiveness. He bargained with his guardian, Menphina, to spare his brother's life in exchange for a vow of silence. Li did not recover immediately, but he calmed considerably, and Sae went to work dressing his wound with whatever he could find in the vicinity. Some days later, Li recovered well enough to continue along to seek refuge. The minutes older twin insisted that Rakka'sae needn't take his vow seriously, but Sae held firm to his belief that Li was only spared because he made that bargain. There was tension between them from that point onwards, but despite it, Sae remained silent.

They found themselves in Gridania, where they were forced to quickly adjust to city life. They poached in the Shroud to feed themselves, but eventually started to take odd jobs in exchange for Gil, which was something their tribe very rarely dealt in. Li was frugal, but Sae couldn't grasp the value of money, and spent the entirety of their Gil on several occasions. As the years stretched on, they had survived between the cusp of poverty, and well below it. When Li took dangerous work in Ul'dah, Sae was implicated and unable to save himself. As a consequence, Li gave up his work and they returned to the safety of Gridania, where they both continued taking odd jobs. Sae eventually learned a tradeskill that vastly stabilized their earnings after some reckless investment, and they live relatively comfortable today, never going hungry.

Rakka'sae was the fourth son born to the esteemed tribal warrior and huntress of their small Keeper tribe, Rakka. Rakka was not the chieftainess, but she was highly esteemed for her prowess in battle and her expertise hunting in the Twelveswood. Already the mother of seven daughters and two sons, she gave birth to twin boys--a rarity among Keepers. The twins were the only third and fourth males born to their tribe, so they came to be known by simply their suffixes: Li and Sae.

Throughout their childhood, the twins exhibited both incredible empathy and jealousy toward one another. At an early age, [[Rakka'li Kuhn|Rakka'li]] began to show an aptitude for leadership. Jealous, Sae often competed with his brother to elevate his standing among their peers and tribe, but he was typically unsuccessful. During one such exhibition, Sae was careless and suffered a terrible wound to his back after plummeting from a sycamore.

During his recovery, Sae grew very close to his mother who had kept constant vigil over him as he recovered. Both boys were very close to Rakka, but Sae's connection to her grew particularly strong during this time. This could be said to be the point in life that Sae accepted his natural inclination towards dependence on others. After his recovery, he no longer tried to compete so openly with his brother, instead deferring to his leadership. However, he formed the habit of complaining when his brother acted in ways he disagreed with, rather than trying to take charge himself as he had before. He was thought of as overly talkative, speaking most when nervous, discontent, or hungry for attention. He was frequently told to hold his tongue, but he rarely listened. This persisted in to his teens, when the Calamity occurred.

At fourteen, the twins had been apart when fiery chaos engulfed the village. Terrified out of his wits, he fled, finding himself alone on the outskirts of the settlement. The Twelveswood was burning. That was when Li appeared, running towards him and snatching his hand, pulling him urgently through the woods. They were on foot for hours when Sae was finally able to process what was happening, but he didn't grasp the full gravity of what had been lost. He assumed the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously at Li as he always had, complaining of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more in the hopes of provoking a reply, when finally, Li snapped. His brother unleashed a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With his brother's attention stolen from their surroundings, the beastman gravely wounded Li. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

Knowing that his chatter had drastically lowered Li's guard and resulted in what appeared would be his death, Sae begged for forgiveness. He bargained with his guardian, Menphina, to spare his brother's life in exchange for a vow of silence. Li did not recover immediately, but he calmed considerably, and Sae went to work dressing his wound with whatever he could find in the vicinity. Some days later, Li recovered well enough to continue along to seek refuge. The minutes older twin insisted that Rakka'sae needn't take his vow seriously, but Sae held firm to his belief that Li was only spared because he made that bargain. There was tension between them from that point onwards, but despite it, Sae remained silent.

They found themselves in Gridania, where they were forced to quickly adjust to city life. They poached in the Shroud to feed themselves, but eventually started to take odd jobs in exchange for Gil, which was something their tribe very rarely dealt in. Li was frugal, but Sae couldn't grasp the value of money, and spent the entirety of their Gil on several occasions. As the years stretched on, they had survived between the cusp of poverty, and well below it. When Li took dangerous work in Ul'dah, Sae was implicated and unable to save himself. As a consequence, Li gave up his work and they returned to the safety of Gridania, where they both continued taking odd jobs. Sae eventually learned a tradeskill that vastly stabilized their earnings after some reckless investment, and they live relatively comfortable today, never going hungry.

He took an immediate interest in her, fond of her flustered reaction to his advances. He counts her among his friends, and has hope that she will not succumb to her own Seeker culture, or the city lifestyle, both of which he finds terribly oppressive. He cares for her and has enjoyed occasional tumbles with her. He also rather enjoys when she teases him.

Intrigued to see another Keeper in his least favorite city-state, he approached this one with friendly intent. When he realized she had some sort of agoraphobia, he decided it was best to deal with her in a more intimate setting. He tries hard to keep her calm, but is unsure of how. He is, regardless, very protective of this one.

Familiar with her due to his patronage to the [[Soliloquy Tavern]], Sae quite enjoys Xenedra's affections and companionship. He is taken with her strength, not worrying as he does with other Seeker females, that she might be subject to strange Seeker customs. He celebrates her freedom from what he believed to be her Nunh, and remains her shy adorer, out to please her in any way he can.

Intrigued by this Highlander woman, he enjoys teasing her in a flirtatious manner. He finds it difficult to engage her for long before she's irrevocably distracted by something. He thinks of her in an endearing manner, as she's always rather perky, and he rather likes her body too.

===[[Kassandra Dawn]]===
Meeting her through his brother Rakka'li, Sae is friendly to and with Kassandra. His overt advances that he often unleashes on the opposite sex are reigned in some for this one, as he worries Li would be offended if he were to try to persuade Kassandra to tumble with him, but he welcomes her affections regardless.

Having never dealt much with Roegadyn people, Sae finds Fearless to be a curious wonder. He considers him a friendly acquaintance who he is always pleased to see when out and about. Around Fearless, he is free to act childishly, for which he is thankful.

===[[Deirdre Ta'ea]]===
After a few unpleasant encounters, he has labeled this one a dangerous stranger. He believes she may be mentally unstable and harbors defensive hostility for her.

===[[Kaahi Faahtra]]===
Knowing her through his brother, Sae is somewhat wary of Kaahi. He spooked this Keeper girl with his unwanted advances, and provoked a terrifying reaction from her, after which he decided it was better to keep his distance from her.

===[[Xha'li Moui]]===
Sharing some in common with this Keeper male, Sae feels comfortable with him. He thinks he shares much more in common with his older brother, but is pleased to know another one of his own, and a male to boot. He hopes to see him again.

===[[Hachi Ten'ahn]]===
After an awkward initial meeting with this one, Sae learned a fair bit about her. Initially drawn to her because she was a Keeper, he has met her on several occasions and become quite playful with her, developing what he would consider an easy friendship.

Rakka'sae Kuhn is the fourth son born to Rakka, a respected huntress of a Keeper tribe deep in the Twelveswood. He is the younger identical twin to [[Rakka'li Kuhn]], and is the more introverted of the two. He stands apart from his brother in that he doesn't speak--not because of any disability or curse, but due to his own personally undertaken vow, as highlighted in the short story, "[http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=2106 Words for a Life]."

==History==

Rakka'sae was the fourth son born to Rakka--a respected warrior and huntress belonging to a small Keeper tribe in the Twelveswood. Rakka'sae's birth came moments after that of his identical brother's, and together, they were considered favorable omens. Very few Miqo'te women mothered so many male children, and so Rakka gained more prestige than she already posessed with the birth of her twins. The twins grew up side-by-side under the watchful gaze of Rakka and were nigh inseperable. They were commonly refered to simply as "Li" and "Sae," as there were no other third or fourth born sons in their tribe to claim the suffixes.

Throughout their childhood, the twins exibited both closeness and initmate understanding of one another, and jealousy and competition amongst themselves. At an early age, [[Rakka'li Kuhn|Rakka'li]] began to show an aptitude for leadership, and Rakka'sae did not. Jealous, Sae often competed with his brother to elevate his standing among their peers and tribe, but he was typically unsuccessful. When they were still small children, he embarked on a reckless adventure as a show of courage. He climbed high in to a towering sycamore with the other tribeschildren, including Li, and made it a point to climb higher and faster than his brother. He lost his footing on one of the branches and fell, colliding with lower hanging branches during his plummet. One of the thick branches caught him on the small of his back, wounding him, but ultimately saving his life, for if he had fallen unslowed, he would have surely died when he hit the ground. Li rushed him back to Rakka, and she closely watched over and cared for him for the several weeks it took to recover.

During his time of recovery, Sae grew very close to his mother. The twins were naturally quite close with Rakka, but Sae's connection to her grew particularly strong as she watched over him day and night. He doesn't like to be left alone, but often finds that he is, due to his inability to have a normal conversation. He is rather playful and flirtatious, quite enjoying the company of women. He warms easily to most strangers, though can be easily put off by insults or rudeness, especially in regards to his silence--which to him is a serious and important undertaking. He can be petty and jealous, and sometimes aggressive. Otherwise, when left to himself, he is calm and almost lethargic.

'''Perceptions:''' Sae takes a keen interest in other races and cultures, curious to discover what more the world of Eorzea has to offer. He is ignorant to most outsiders' ways, but is quick to catch on and learn. He is unlearned, and so his open-mindedness isn't necessarily equivalent to worldly knowledge, but he has learned to read and to write some small bit. He is espeically fascinated by women of other races, not terribly picky about who he chooses to share a bed with.

Rakka'sae Kuhn is the fourth son born to Rakka, a respected huntress of a Keeper tribe deep in the Twelveswood. He is the younger identical twin to [[Rakka'li Kuhn]], and is the more introverted of the two. He stands apart from his brother in that he doesn't speak--not because of any disability or curse, but due to his own personally undertaken vow, as highlighted in the short story, "[http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=2106 Words for a Life]."

Rakka'sae was the fourth son born to Rakka--a respected warrior and huntress belonging to a small Keeper tribe in the Twelveswood. Rakka'sae's birth came moments after that of his identical brother's, and together, they were considered favorable omens. Very few Miqo'te women mothered so many male children, and so Rakka gained more prestige than she already posessed with the birth of her twins. The twins grew up side-by-side under the watchful gaze of Rakka and were nigh inseperable. They were commonly refered to simply as "Li" and "Sae," as there were no other third or fourth born sons in their tribe to claim the suffixes.

Throughout their childhood, the twins exibited both closeness and initmate understanding of one another, and jealousy and competition amongst themselves. At an early age, [[Rakka'li Kuhn|Rakka'li]] began to show an aptitude for leadership, and Rakka'sae did not. Jealous, Sae often competed with his brother to elevate his standing among their peers and tribe, but he was typically unsuccessful. When they were still small children, he embarked on a reckless adventure as a show of courage. He climbed high in to a towering sycamore with the other tribeschildren, including Li, and made it a point to climb higher and faster than his brother. He lost his footing on one of the branches and fell, colliding with lower hanging branches during his plummet. One of the thick branches caught him on the small of his back, wounding him, but ultimately saving his life, for if he had fallen unslowed, he would have surely died when he hit the ground. Li rushed him back to Rakka, and she closely watched over and cared for him for the several weeks it took to recover.

During his time of recovery, Sae grew very close to his mother. The twins were naturally quite close with Rakka, but Sae's connection to her grew particularly strong as she watched over him day and night. This could be said to be the point in life that Sae accepted his natural inclination towards dependence on others. He also competed far less with Li after his recovery, resigning himself to his role as a follower rather than a leader. Sae had become something of a nuissance, however, freqently complaining when his brother acted in ways he disagreed with, rather than trying to take charge himself as he had before. He was thought of as overly talkative, and was frequently told to hold his tongue, but he rarely listened. This persisted in to his teens, when the Calamity descended upon Eorzea.

At fourteen, Sae had been in the pleasant company of one of the young women of his tribe, when fiery chaos engulfed the village. He fled, terrified out of his wits, and found himself alone, standing on the outskirts of the settlement. The Twelveswood was burning. That was when Li appeared, running towards him and snatching his hand, pulling him urgently through the woods. They were on foot for hours when Sae was finally able to process what was happening, but he didn't grasp the full gravity of what had been lost, assuming much of the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously as he always had, and he complained of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more to catch his attention, when finally, Li snapped. His brother chewed him out in a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With Li's attention focused on Sae, the beastman gravely wounded him. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

Feeling as though his complaining and chattering was to blame, Sae begged for forgiveness. He bargained with his guardian, Menphina, to spare his brother's life in exchange for a vow of silence. Li did not recover immediately, but he calmed considerably, and Sae went to work dressing his wound with whatever he could find in the vicinity. Some days later, Li recovered well enough to continue along to seek refuge. The minutes older twin insisted that Rakka'sae needn't take his vow seriously, but Sae held firm to his belief that Li was only spared because he made that bargain. There was tension between them from that point onwards, but despite how angry they had the tendency to become with one another, Rakka'sae remained silent.

They found themselves in Gridania, where they were forced to quickly adjust to city life. They hunted for sustinence normally, but eventually started to take odd jobs in exchange for Gil, which was something their tribe very rarely dealt in. Li was frugal, but Sae couldn't grasp the value of money, and spent the entirety of their Gil on several occasions. Five years after the Calamity, they traveled wherever their work would lead them, never settling in one place for too long.

At fourteen, Sae had been in the pleasant company of one of the young women of his tribe, when fiery chaos engulfed the village. He fled, terrified out of his wits, and found himself alone, standing on the outskirts of the settlement. The Twelveswood was burning. That was when Li appeared, running towards him and snatching his hand, pulling him urgently through the woods. They were on foot for hours when Sae was finally able to process what was happening, but he didn't grasp the full gravity of what had been lost, assuming much of the tribe had made it to safety as he and his brother had. He chattered nervously as he always had, and he complained of hunger, thirst, exhaustion, and pain. With Li ignoring him, Sae only spoke more and more to catch his attention, when finally, Li snapped. His brother chewed him out in a flurry of insults and painful truths--such as the fact that their mother was dead. As he endured the verbal thrashing, Sae caught sight of an Ixal scout. With Li's attention focused on Sae, the beastman gravely wounded him. After a moment of frozen disbelief and fright, Sae managed to kill the creature, but the damage had already been done. Li was suffering, and on the verge of death.

Feeling as though his complaining and chattering was to blame, Sae begged for forgiveness. He bargained with his guardian, Menphina, to spare his brother's life in exchange for a vow of silence. Li did not recover immediately, but he calmed considerably, and Sae went to work dressing his wound with whatever he could find in the vicinity. Some days later, Li recovered well enough to continue along to seek refuge. The minutes older twin insisted that Rakka'sae needn't take his vow seriously, but Sae held firm to his belief that Li was only spared because he made that bargain. There was tension between them from that point onwards, but despite how angry they had the tendency to become with one another, Rakka'sae remained silent.

They found themselves in Gridania, where they were forced to quickly adjust to city life. They hunted for sustinence normally, but eventually started to take odd jobs in exchange for Gil, which was something their tribe very rarely dealt in. Li was frugal, but Sae couldn't grasp the value of money, and spent the entirety of their Gil on several occasions. Five years after the Calamity, they traveled wherever their work would lead them, never settling in one place for too long.

'''Disposition:''' Rakka'sae is ultimately a follower, content to let someone else take the reigns and decide what ought to be done. He doesn't like to be left alone, but often finds that he is, due to his inability to have a normal conversation. He is rather playful and flirtatious, quite enjoying the company of women. He warms easily to most strangers, though can be easily put off by insults or rudeness, especially in regards to his silence--which to him is a serious and important undertaking. He can be petty and jealous, and sometimes aggressive. Otherwise, when left to himself, he is calm and almost lethargic.

'''Perceptions:''' Sae takes a keen interest in other races and cultures, curious to discover what more the world of Eorzea has to offer. He is ignorant to most outsiders' ways, but is quick to catch on and learn. He is unlearned, and so his open-mindedness isn't necessarily equivalent to worldly knowledge, but he has learned to read and to write some small bit. He is espeically fascinated by women of other races, not terribly picky about who he chooses to share a bed with.
