===History===

For the first ten years of his life, Altadai (though at the time he was nameless) was raised like any other member of the Tumet tribe of Xaela, travelling across the Othard Steppe and being taught the ways of his nomadic people. He was a small, frail child and most of the other children of his tribe avoided speaking to him. With his tenth summer came the traditional Tumet rite of passage; wherein the children who have come of age are tied to a sacred tree, and those who are able to escape and catch up to the tribe are welcomed and given a name. His peers were able to escape with ease - but Altadai was left behind, struggling at his bonds for days. When he finally did escape, he was half starved and extremely dehydrated, bleeding from where the rope had rubbed against his skin.

In a nearly delirious state, he made his way towards the next location the tribe was camping. However, he would never reach this destination. He crossed paths with a Garlean scouting party. The commander of the unit, Imperial Decurio Juste pyr Eligius, did not see a young man undergoing a sacred rite of passage, but an injured young boy starving and alone in the wilderness. In an effort to rescue Altadai, he had his men dragged him back to their Castrum. As the Garleans did not know his language, his protestations fell on deaf ears. The young Xaela resisted until he eventually succumbed to his fatigue and fell unconscious. When he awoke, he was staring at the ceiling of a dimly lit room, with a damp cloth laid upon his forehead. Juste was sitting at his bedside, reading a book in the low candle light. He sat up quickly, ready to flee, but Juste pushed him back down upon the bed, and spoke unfamiliar words in a soothing tone. A moment later, Altadai had faded out of consciousness again.

After nursing him back to health, Juste would adopt Altadai and give him the name Severo. Raised as a Garlean citizen, Severo would enlist in the military at the age of sixteen, just as the now deceased emperor once did, and much to the pride of his adoptive father. Once his training was completed, he was stationed in Doma

===History===
Guillemont joined the Temple Knights at an early age, like his father and older brother before him. He was assigned to the Heavy Cavalry division, and received his chocobo, Muffin. Naturally suited to the military life, he rose through the ranks relatively quickly. In time, he surpassed his brother Armont in rank. Through the Temple Knights he received training with a multitude of weapons, taking a particular liking to sword techniques. When he displayed the aptitude, he was also given training in the magical disciplines of Conjury and Thaumaturgy.

Eventually being stationed in Camp Dragonhead, Guillemont's exemplary service and earned him the attention of House Fortemps. Given an official title of Knighthood, Guillemont continued to serve at Camp Dragonhead and abroad until his aunt Christienna was accused of heresy. When the accusations were proven true at Witchdrop, the De'bayle family was put under heavy scrutiny. Shortly after, House Fortemps, - perhaps to save face and exclude a potential heretic from their midst, or perhaps to aid Guillemont in putting some distance between himself and the Inquisition - gave Guillemont an indefinite assignment in Thanalan. There he stayed until the Calamity, after which Guillemont went to Mor Dhona for a time. He worked as a professional soldier there - taking odd jobs protecting caravans, collecting debts and so on. Years would pass before he overheard word of his old Thaumaturgy teacher, Susuko Suko, being in Ul'Dah. He went in search of her, only to find out after moons of searching that she had died. He returned to Ishgard and reunited with his family shortly after.

One of his contacts in Mor Dhona hired him to dig up a relic in some ruins in the Sagolii desert. Thinking this the perfect opportunity to assist his friend [[Uyraies Sonnen]] financially, he hired her to come along and assist with the search. After finding the object, Guillemont found himself subjected to terrible nightmares. In his waking hours, he found that he knew bits of information he should not have. Information pertaining to ancient voidsent and a cult that worshiped them. When he returned to Mor Dhona, he could not find the man who contracted him to dig up the artifact. Nor could he remember any details about the man when he tried asking around. No one had seen him in Revenant's Toll since he left in search of his teacher moons before. He came to fear that the man had been another dream, or that he had been subjected to some sort of manipulation...

A chance encounter with a more experienced magician, [[Vevekera Lelekera]]; with whom he had a somewhat obscure connection, led to Guillemont confirming that the source of his plight was related to the void. Shortly thereafter, he found himself able to sleep through the nightmares despite their increasing vividness and realism. After recounting one such dream to his friend Phi, she informed him that one of the monstrosities he thought existed solely in the realm of his own imagination could be found in certain ruins within the Black Shroud. Curious, Guillemont enlisted the help of her and his brothers to hunt down some of the creatures. The hunt itself provided few answers to Guillemont's ever increasing number of questions - but it did trigger yet another change in his dreams...

Guillemont is socially awkward, and will often struggle to hold a conversation with people he has just met. He has been described as somewhat rough around the edges due to his seven years working amongst mercenaries and lowborn soldiers, and until recently had abandoned much of his noble De'bayle etiquette. Having rejoined his family he has been making an effort to speak in a more refined manner - though constantly thinking about his wording and tone only worsens his awkwardness. Though he finds it embarrassing after the fact, he can be impatient and quick to anger at times.

Guillemont tries to be helpful when he can, and even sometimes when he can't - largely because it makes him feel better about himself. Loyal to a fault, Guillemont would not hesitate to put himself between a blade and a friend. However, he also would not hesitate to put a blade in to a perceived foe. To him, there is a certain level of satisfaction that comes with inflicting pain on others. He knows this is not morally correct, and it is not a trait he displays openly - usually.

Being more social in the last few moons than the last several turns, Guillemont has taken more care in his appearance and forsaken his stubble in favor of sideburns, which he feels is just the right balance between a clean, orderly appearance and a certain rugged masculinity. His hair is black, but not quite the charcoal black of his brothers. Despite his youth, he is already beginning to go grey - likely due to stress. His eyes are a dull blue. His facial features are quite angular and his cheeks appear somewhat gaunt, further emphasizing his already well defined cheekbones. There is a scar across his right cheek, and several more on his body - the most recent of which is across the right side of his ribs. On his forehead is the traditional De'bayle sigil tattoo.

:<font style="color:#3da180;" size="2">♥</font> [[Denz De'bayle]] - Guillemont's younger brother. Despite Denz picking on him, Guillemont adores his younger brother. Of all his family, Guillemont has spent the most time with Denz since returning and is the most comfortable with him.

:<font style="color:#3da180;" size="2">♥</font> [[REDACTED De'bayle]] - Guillemont's twin sister, and perhaps the person he trusts above all others. When he returned to Ishgard he was disappointed to find that she was off adventuring.

:<font style="color:#9EC60B;" size="2">●</font> [[Percelle Charlamend]] - Guillemont and Percelle first met after he watched her fight at the Grindstone. The two spectated several of Armont's subsequent matches, and they found they had a mutual friend (or acquaintance, in the case of Guillemont), in Piper. That there was an attraction between the two was immediately apparent. Percelle, of course, being more open about it than Guillemont. The two went on a few 'dates' of sorts, though they never explicitly referred to it as such. With time came distance, and the two drifted apart.

:<font style="color:#9EC60B;" size="2">●</font> [[Carina Roussos]] - Guillemont's sister-in-law, and Armont's wife. Guillemont first met her in Ul'Dah when he was searching for his teacher. She was the one who knew of his teacher and informed him of her death. When he returned to Ishgard and reunited with his family, he learned she was pregnant with his brother's child. Carina has become one of Guillemont's closest friends, and the two go bar hopping from time to time. Carina may or may not be his wingman.

:<font style="color:#9EC60B;" size="2">●</font> Piper Braddock - A woman Guillemont met at the Grindstone. His fight with her ended with him nearly breaking the rules in frustration, and forfeiting. On a trip to the Mists to have dinner with Denz and Carina and get to know her better he would bump in to her. Denz expedited their inevitable rematch, which resulted in Guillemont winning. He has a growing respect for her as a fighter.

:<font style="color:#9EC60B;" size="2">●</font> [[Uyraies Sonnen]] - Guillemont met Uyraies in Ul'Dah. She was of notably lower socioeconomic status, but seemed friendly. She was armed, but her equipment and training were both severely lacking. Feeling compelled to help her and thinking that a little money would probably be the best way, he offered to hire her. He enjoys her company, and thinks of her as an honorable and trustworthy person.

:<font style="color:#9EC60B;" size="2">●</font> Phi Atsuho - A Miqo'te girl Guillemont met in Ishgard. She took an immediate liking to his chocobo, Muffin - one of the quickest ways to make friends with Guillemont. After discovering that she was being pursued by some sort of cultist group originating in Ishgard, Guillemont was reminded of a painful event from his past and has decided to take it upon himself to try to protect her.

Since her heresy was revealed, Guillemont's relationship with his uncle has degraded greatly. When he returned to Ishgard and found his uncle living with a dragon, his distrust was solidified.

* He is afraid of dogs. He is even uncomfortable around small or well behaved dogs and does his best to avoid them.
* He doesn't particularly like his title as 'The Grey Wolf', and will avoid using it.
* He has an interest in Doman culture.

There he stayed until the Calamity, after which Guillemont went to Mor Dhona for a time. He worked as a professional soldier there - taking odd jobs protecting caravans, collecting debts and so on. Years would pass before he overheard word of his old Thaumaturgy teacher, Susuko Suko, being in Ul'Dah. He went in search of her, only to find out after moons of searching that she had died. He returned to Ishgard and reunited with his family shortly after.

One of his contacts in Mor Dhona hired him to dig up a relic in some ruins in the Sagolii desert. Thinking this the perfect opportunity to assist his friend [[Uyraies Sonnen]] financially, he hired her to come along and assist with the search. After finding the object, Guillemont found himself subjected to terrible nightmares. In his waking hours, he found that he knew bits of information he should not have. Information pertaining to ancient voidsent and a cult that worshiped them. When he returned to Mor Dhona, he could not find the man who contracted him to dig up the artifact. Nor could he remember any details about the man when he tried asking around. No one had seen him in Revenant's Toll since he left in search of his teacher moons before. He came to fear that the man had been another dream, or that he had been subjected to some sort of manipulation...

A chance encounter with a more experienced magician, [[Vevekera Lelekera]]; with whom he had a somewhat obscure connection, led to Guillemont confirming that the source of his plight was related to the void. Shortly thereafter, he found himself able to sleep through the nightmares despite their increasing vividness and realism. After recounting one such dream to his friend Phi, she informed him that one of the monstrosities he thought existed solely in the realm of his own imagination could be found in certain ruins within the Black Shroud. Curious, Guillemont enlisted the help of her and his brothers to hunt down some of the creatures. The hunt itself provided few answers to Guillemont's ever increasing number of questions - but it did trigger yet another change in his dreams...

Guillemont is socially awkward, and will often struggle to hold a conversation with people he has just met. He has been described as somewhat rough around the edges due to his seven years working amongst mercenaries and lowborn soldiers, and until recently had abandoned much of his noble De'bayle etiquette. Having rejoined his family he has been making an effort to speak in a more refined manner - though constantly thinking about his wording and tone only worsens his awkwardness. Though he finds it embarrassing after the fact, he can be impatient and quick to anger at times.

Guillemont tries to be helpful when he can, and even sometimes when he can't - largely because it makes him feel better about himself. Loyal to a fault, Guillemont would not hesitate to put himself between a blade and a friend. However, he also would not hesitate to put a blade in to a perceived foe. To him, there is a certain level of satisfaction that comes with inflicting pain on others. He knows this is not morally correct, and it is not a trait he displays openly - usually.

Being more social in the last few moons than the last several turns, Guillemont has taken more care in his appearance and forsaken his stubble in favor of sideburns, which he feels is just the right balance between a clean, orderly appearance and a certain rugged masculinity. His hair is black, but not quite the charcoal black of his brothers. Despite his youth, he is already beginning to go grey - likely due to stress. His eyes are a dull blue. His facial features are quite angular and his cheeks appear somewhat gaunt, further emphasizing his already well defined cheekbones. There is a scar across his right cheek, and several more on his body - the most recent of which is across the right side of his ribs. On his forehead is the traditional De'bayle sigil tattoo.

===History===
Guillemont joined the Temple Knights at an early age, like his father and older brother before him. He was assigned to the Heavy Cavalry division, and received his chocobo, Muffin. Naturally suited to the military life, he rose through the ranks relatively quickly. In time, he surpassed his brother Armont in rank. Through the Temple Knights he received training with a multitude of weapons, taking a particular liking to sword techniques. When he displayed the aptitude, he was also given training in the magical disciplines of Conjury and Thaumaturgy.

Eventually being stationed in Camp Dragonhead, Guillemont's exemplary service and earned him the attention of House Fortemps. Given an official title of Knighthood, Guillemont continued to serve at Camp Dragonhead until his aunt Audierne was accused of heresy. When the accusations were proven true at Witchdrop, the De'bayle family was put under heavy scrutiny. House Fortemps, perhaps to save face and exclude a potential heretic from their midst, or perhaps to aid Guillemont in putting some distance between himself and the Inquisition, made Guillemont a Knight-Errant. No longer bound to Coerthas, Guillemont went to Mor Dhona for a time. There he worked as a professional soldier, taking odd jobs protecting caravans, collecting debts and so on. This is how he met the Xaela named Bukidai Gharl, who would become a trusted friend. A few moons would pass before he overheard word of his old Thaumaturgy teacher, Susuko Suko, in Ul'Dah. He went in search of her, only to find out that she had died.

==Appearance==
Guillemont keeps his face cleanly shaven and his dark grey hair cut short. It has a coarse texture, and if he were to allow it to grow out it would be rather curly. His hair always looks at least somewhat messy, despite his best efforts to tame it. Guillemont's eyes are a dull blue, almost grey. When his face is relaxed his gaze appears cold and brooding. He is somewhat short for an Elezen, but doesn't mind. He received physical training since an early age, and as such he has a muscular build and strikes an imposing figure. He has a noticeable scar on the left side of his jaw from an ‘accident’ that occurred during this training. He is most often seen wearing his ornate red armor, which his father gave him when he left his family home.

==Personality==
Guillemont is shy and, despite his resting facial expression, quite polite when approached. However, his natural intimidating expression and quiet nature often give the impression of a shady character. This causes people who haven't met him to generally avoid him. This only further increases his insecurity and apprehension for social situations. A large part of this insecurity stems from his neglectful upbringing, particularly on the part of his uncaring father. Guillemont is fiercely loyal and values people he cares about above himself. He would not hesitate to put himself between a blade and a friend.

==History==

===Family History===
The Feurieux family is a minor noble family under House Dzemael. Aside from land-ownership and their involvement in petty politics, the family is of little note and is not likely to be known by those who have not had direct dealings with them.

===Birth===
Guillemont is the product of one of his mother Audierne's previous relationships with a Duskwight man who fled when she became pregnant. Being of noble birth, having a child out of wedlock would render her an outcast. In order to avoid a scandal she married Varigeant Feurieux; a friend and suitor who, out of love for Audierne, kept the child - albeit at arm's length. Rumors were still spread of course, when a blond Wildwood couple produced a dark-haired Duskwight infant. Guillemont's mother never spoke of his biological father, and he did not ask. He knew his father was not his ''real'' father.

===Early Life===

When Guillemont was a young boy, his mother became pregnant again and his father became even more distant. Not wanting to lose what little affection he did receive to his younger (and legitimate) sibling, Guillemont put intense effort into his studies and training in an attempt to impress his father. Guillemont, confident in his progress as a swordsman, persuaded his father to come to a lesson and watch him spar with one of his peers. Guillemont handily defeated the other student, who was the heir to one of his father's rivals. He turned to face his father, hoping to see approval on his face. The defeated boy, in his spite, slashed at Guillemont's face while his guard was down. Clutching his face and bleeding profusely, Guillemont cried out in pain. When Guillemont looked again, his father had left. He did not speak to Guillemont for weeks after the incident, which would leave Guillemont with a permanent scar. Two moons later, his brother Arleux was born.

Guillemont’s mother became depressed shortly after Arleux’s birth. She wouldn’t sleep or eat, and spent much of her time alone. It took three years for her to recover, but her relationship with her eldest son was never really the same. Arleux would never remember this period of time. Even though Guillemont’s relationship with his parents deteriorated as his half-brother grew, the two boys genuinely loved each other. Arleux, who was not as naturally resilient or strong as Guillemont, idolized his brother. Guillemont would often indulge his sibling in games of make-believe where they were gallant knights on a quest to slay a vile Dravanian or to save a beautiful princess, depending on Arleux's mood. Arleux either did not know, did not understand, or did not care about Guillemont's status as a bastard.

===Recent===
On his twentieth nameday Guillemont's father gave him a large sack of Gil and an ornate suit of armor, and told him he could no longer live on the family estate and had three days to leave. Lady Feurieux offered no protest, and her indifference did not surprise Guillemont. Young Arleux was devastated, and spent the three days in his room sulking while Guillemont gathered what vital supplies his chocobo, Muffin, could carry. Arleux did not leave his room for Guillemont's final goodbye, which was the only truly painful part of leaving for the elder Feurieux brother. Guillemont rode to Mor Dhona, and ended up spending several moons there doing odd jobs a common mercenary in an attempt to stretch out the money his father had given him for as long as he could. It was there that he met Bukidai Gharl, a Xaela Au Ra who would be his sole friend and companion for some time.

Guillemont left Mor Dhona to head to Thanalan when he heard word of his old thaumaturgy tutor, Susuko Suko, in Ul'Dah. After a few days of searching, he encountered a young woman by the name of [[Carina Roussos]] who had heard of his teacher. Unfortunately Susuko had already passed on, but Carina would give Guillemont some information about his teacher's husband, a man named Iforo.

==Skills==
Guillemont is trained in the use of several weapons. He prefers to fight with a greatsword, but is also proficient with the lance as well as sword and shield techniques. He has studied some thaumaturgy and conjury, and has been known to use some magic in combination with his swordplay. He has studied a broad variety of subjects and is quite knowledgeable, but aside from his martial prowess he has few practical skills.
