::Born in Othard to the Xaela tribe, the Dalamiq, Nymeria held no standing and practiced arcane magic that drew from the powerful and torrential aether of the fallen red moon. Her tribe had practiced feats of brutality by fighting one another to the death in pits while the victors would help themselves to whatever spoils they pleased. When she became of breeding age, she was often passed around as a prize herself and claimed frequently, though she also learned a lot from those she bedded and strengthened her own understanding of magic. Her parents had praised her often for her skill, but because she was low-born, she was not considered by any to be more than a concubine, a title she wanted to defy by becoming skilled in many other areas outside of pleasure.

::When she was around fifteen, a civil war erupted among her tribe members that caused many to die in a vicious battle. She had barely survived, sustaining heavy wounds while the tribe's lands burned, but she was rescued by Kitsuno and her retinue then taken in to be cleaned up and offered a new position as one of Kitsuno's handmaidens. There, she learned the Raen language and their civil practices as well as how to entertain either through dance or conversation. She became better versed in the arts and propriety and also became one of Kitsuno's most trusted confidantes.

::Furthermore, she grew to be close friends with Benisato, whom she considers as both a sister and her lover. Though the two of them have opposing personalities, they manage to not only get along with one another but compliment each other well in battle. Nymeria has great fondness for her and Princess Kitsuno and looks after them with protective fervor.

::Upon the disappearance of Kazusano'o, Kitsuno's fiance, both she and Beni headed towards Eorzea to find Kitsuno and be by her side. They have since then wound up working as courtesans in a brothel to earn gil for Kitsuno, though Nymeria has been forging her own path in the thaumaturgy arts and learning to become a more powerful mage.

He emits a pleasant aroma when he's in heat, but because he has a mate, it only really affects Klair and remains neutral for everyone else in range. ::Born in Utakata on Othard, he was only one of three males in his Miqo'te tribe, the other two being Yamato and Shiro. Shiro had a mate from another Keeper tribe, and Yamato was far too old, making Gareki the only available male for breeding. Because Megumi didn't want her brother to be used and wanted him to have his own independence and autonomy, she didn't allow any of the other miqo'te to mate with him.

::His mother, Ouka, was the former head of their tribe and a strong beast hunter who specialized in a samurai-style of combat and medicine. His father, Ibuki, was a hyur and a dragoon from lands unknown. The both of them passed away in battle, one that Gareki knows little of, but he'd been protected by both Megumi and Yamato. Since then, he grew up without knowing much of his parents except through tales the tribe would share with him.

::He also met Klair when he was about three years-old and Klair was six. A mysterious injury had left Klair on the brink of death, but Ouka employed Gareki to play junior nurse while he was with them and Klair healed under their careful watch. Gareki reunited with Klair years later when he was thirteen and when Megumi began a relationship with Klair's best friend and confidante, Jhi'a. Though Gareki had a crush on Klair then, he didn't speak much of it and pined over him from afar for several years until he reached breeding age.

::In spite of being male, he shares a lot of unusual attributes with the females in his tribe and can emit pheromones which lead him to starting a relationship with Klair while he began to pursue his engineering training more seriously. He spent much of his teenage years traveling around Othard and learning from great smiths and crafters. He also graduated from using bows for hunting to firearms and cannons, many of which he built himself. He then learned how to construct and outfit small airships using a lot of the engineering manuals from Cid's Ironworks.

::Since his dream had been to meet and study under Cid personally, he decided to venture out towards Eorzea with Kitsuno, but a horrible attack had caused their ship to crash in Eastern Thanalan while Gareki had changed into a female as the result of an experiment gone awry aboard said airship. The fantasia he'd been tinkering with had gained an increased potency that had altered his form in a way that could only be undone temporarily with Megumi's help. His body is still unstable and capable of swapping between the two, but mentally, he identifies as solely male.
