Once upon a time, when Evelyn Lynn still went by the name and appearance of Severaehn Bluhdwain he had been a privateer. While of above average (but underutilized) intelligence, he was rather average all in all, the only thing standing out being his charisma. He was pretty happy with his life all in all.

Then one of his crewmembers had the bright idea to swap out the captain's ale with a few vials of Fantasia, in what was supposed to be a practical joke. Normally Severaehn would have noticed, but he was already pretty sloshed at that point and didn't. Something which, while making a funny anecdote, had farreaching consequences, since it caused the resulting change to be permanent. Fantasia was made with the doses it was sold in after all.

After a very trippy dream, the Roegadyn captain found himself a Lalafellin Female. He was understandably unamused, even more so when he couldn't be changed back. His anger soon made way for anxiety though, as, while the former emotion had drowned it out, he had suffered from extreme body dysphoria from the moment he became aware of himself.

Despite being loud and boisterous by nature, he became quieter and quieter. A change that didn't go unnoticed. What followed was one of the darker periods of life. His crew tried to go on the usual way, really, but they unconsciously treated him differently either way, which he noticed. In the end he left, searching for... Well... He didn't know at that point.

Skip forward a few years. By that time he had, while not fully embracing his 'new identity', at least made peace with the fact he was stuck with it. He had started learning Arcanima to make up for his lacking physique, and even worked as an overseer for a while. His true value however, laid in the fact that he had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. The public knew nothing about his history and loyalties, which made him a good infiltrator. Something which he does well until this day.

Agatzahr Roehmerlsyn is a former buccaneer who assumed admiralship of Limsa Lominsa in 963 of the Sixth Astral Era. One of his first deeds was to call the strongest pirate crews of the time to the negotiation table. Through bartering and threats he managed to put an end to 23 years of fighting over territory and shares of plunder. He is also responsible for creating a revolutionary code of conduct every corsair would have to follow, upheld in a just as revolutionary way by the [[Rogue's Guild|Upright Thieves]].

''No crew would cheat another of its plunder, nor rob a fellow Lominsan, nor sell fellow men into slavery.''

The Admiral went on to create a tax on the revived trade in plunder, and used to proceeds to bolster the Knights of the Barracuda, the Lominsan Navy. With this force he proceeded to fight the Kobolds, securing inland territories and defending the harbor.

He is also famous for creating a standard measure for the ilm. This was instigated in the year 986, when a pirate came to Limsa Lominsa in order to procure sailcloth. A scuffle ensued, as the sailcloth supposedly was not the amount of ilms he had paid for. This was ofcourse not accounting for the fact that the ilm did not have a set length at the time, being measured by the size of a Hyuran thumb, something which is variable per individual. Some fifty men were left dead or wounded. The Admiral took swift action, arresting the pirate who had caused the problem, lopping his thumb off, and declaring it would henceforth serve as the standard measure of an ilm throughout the land.

In his late years he established the [[Trident]] in order to avoid a war of succession, a tradition which has lasted to this day.

==Limsa Lominsa==

On the southern coast of the island of Vylbrand, under the shadow of ancient cliffs worn by the relentless onslaught of the Rhotano Sea, lies the marine city-state of Limsa Lominsa. Said to be blessed by the goddess of navigation, Llymlaen, the city is spread out over countless tiny islands, each connected by sturdy bridges of iron and wood construction, earning her the name the "Navigator's Veil" from traveling bards who have witnessed the city's beauty from afar.

Limsa Lominsa is a traditional thalassocracy, with power lying in the hands of the ruling party and its leader, the Admiral. Its economy is driven by shipbuilding, fishing, and blacksmithing, but the majority of wealth comes from the lucrative shipping industry.

To maintain the safety of its maritime routes, the city employs a formidable navy known as the Knights of the Barracuda. However, even in the waters nearby the city, pirate bands run rampant, reaving and pillaging.

==History==
In the year 874 of the Sixth Astral Era, the [[Galadion]] and its Sea Wolf crew set sail after a failed rebellion, and eventually ran aground at the southern coast of Vylbrand. The ship carried two Elezen helmsmen. The two of them, navigator Jean de Nevelle and adventurer Guy La Thagran were tasked with exploring the island, and found it to be fertile.

Under the leadership of Admiral Elilwaen they build a small village in what became to be called La Noscea, the area named after a second lodesman who died of scurvy two days before landfall. Unknowingly however, they had trespassed on the domain of the [[kobolds]]. After a few skirmishes the crew was forced to return to the bay where the Galadion had stranded. From their ship they built bridges to the small islands and exposed reefs in said bay and Limsa Lominsa was born.

In it's early days Limsa Lominsa was a place for refugees without coin. The Lominsans lived in poverty despite La Noscea's rich resources due to continued hostility with the kobolds. They were still sailors however, and thus turned to piracy for survival. They build warships from wood originating in the few scant forests of Lower la Noscea and began to attack the merchant ships sailing the Rhotano sea. It was through piracy that Limsa Lominsa grew larger. Members of captured crews were often given the chance to join the ranks, and Plainsfolk came from the south sea isles for the for drawn by rumors of cheap wares.

The pirates began to organize themselves into actual crews as their numbers grew, and as the amount of crews rose, so did the number of quarrels over territory and shares of plunder. This erupted in violence in 940 of the Sixth Astral Era, which continued for 23 years, until [[Agatzahr Roehmerlsyn]] assumed admiralship in 963: Peace was reestablished through his reforms and Limsa Lominsa became mighty under him.

Admiral Roehmerlsyn also established [[the Trident]], which reliably produced leaders who served for terms of seven years at a time, although it was by no means unheard of to be in office longer. This lasted until 1563 when [[Merlwyb Bloefhiswyn]] came into office. She shockingly declared piracy illegal, a deed which was decidedly unpopular, as it took away a mainstay of Limsa Lominsa's economy.

Some resistance fell away through negotiation and the explanation of her goals, but the strongest opposition was silenced. She also demonstrated her leadership, as not only did [[Titan]] fall, by the hands of the mercenary band she hired, [[The Company of Heroes]], but [[Leviathan]] as well, working alongside the Knights of the Barracuda.

The final reforms were the establishment of the [[Maelstrom]] and the Galadion Accord, which bound the pirate crews to the Grand Company, and therefore her command.

Eorzean units and measurements are based on the USCS system of measurement, if not renamed. Length and distance are measured in ilms (inches), fulms (feet), yalms (yards) and malms (miles), whereas weight is measured in onzes (ounces), ponzes (pounds), and tonzes (Tons).

Whereas originally there existed some confusion when it came to ilms (Commonly specified as an adult Hyuran thumb), as the length of body parts would vary from person to person, Admiral [[Agatzahr Roehmerlsyn]] of [[Limsa Lominsa]] instuted a standard measure of the ilm in the year 986 of the Sixth Astral Era.

Once upon a time, when Evelyn Lynn still went by the name and appearance of Severaehn Bluhdwain he had been a privateer. While of above average (but underutilized) intelligence, he was rather average all in all, the only thing standing out being his charisma. He was pretty happy with his life all in all.

Then one of his crewmembers had the bright idea to swap out the captain's ale with a few vials of Fantasia, in what was supposed to be a practical joke. Normally Severaehn would have noticed, but he was already pretty sloshed at that point and didn't. Something which, while making a funny anecdote, had farreaching consequences, since it caused the resulting change to be permanent. Fantasia was made with the doses it was sold in after all.

After a very trippy dream, the Roegadyn captain found himself a Lalafellin Female. He was understandably unamused, even more so when he couldn't be changed back. His anger soon made way for anxiety though, as, while the former emotion had drowned it out, he had suffered from extreme body dysphoria from the moment he became aware of himself.

Once upon a time, when Evelyn Lynn still went by the name and appearance of Severaehn Bluhdwain he had been a privateer. While of above average (but underutilized) intelligence, he was rather average all in all, the only thing standing out being his charisma. He was pretty happy with his life all in all.

Then one of his crewmembers had the bright idea to swap out the captain's ale with a few vials of Fantasia, in what was supposed to be a practical joke. Normally Severaehn would have noticed, but he was already pretty sloshed at that point and didn't. Something which, while making a funny anecdote, had farreaching consequences, since it caused the resulting change to be permanent. Fantasia was made with the doses it was sold in after all.

After a very trippy dream, the Roegadyn captain found himself a Lalafellin Female. He was understandably unamused, even more so when he couldn't be changed back. His anger soon made way for anxiety though, as, while the former emotion had drowned it out, he had suffered from extreme body dysphoria from the moment he became aware of himself.

Despite being loud and boisterous by nature, he became quieter and quieter. A change that didn't go unnoticed. What followed was one of the darker periods of life. His crew tried to go on the usual way, really, but they unconsciously treated him differently either way, which he noticed. In the end he left, searching for... Well... He didn't know at that point.

Skip forward a few years. By that time he had, while not fully embracing his 'new identity', at least made peace with the fact he was stuck with it. He had started learning Arcanima to make up for his lacking physique, and even worked as an overseer for a while. His true value however, laid in the fact that he had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. The public knew nothing about his history and loyalties, which made him a good infiltrator. Something which he does well until this day.
