Chotan Angura, a wandering adventurer hailing from Othard's mountainous glaciers. Currently residing in Limsa Lominsa, with little in terms of goal or purpose other than studying and practicing numerous skills, and discovering more to add to her repertoire as she travels around Eorzia.

== Basic Character ==
Chotan is a girl afflicted with an ever-present wanderlust and a thirst for knowledge. Constantly on the move, she carries a large pack filled with supplies, books, and various weapons to defend herself with. Settling down to an extent, Chotan is eager to share and exchange the knowledge and skills she's gathered in her travels with those of Eorzean locals. She's already learned quite a bit, and those who have gotten the chance to speak with her when she stops by towns and cities say that she is a well-read and cheerful young lady.

== Appearance ==
Chotan is no astonishing beauty, but she isn't exactly someone who blends into crowds either. She's five feet and one inch tall, with tanned skin. Where other Anguran Xaela's skin take on a redder, rust coloration, Chotan attributes her fairer-by-comparison skintone to her lengthy travels away from the glaciers her tribe calls home. She has dark brown hair, with brighter, dirty-blonde highlights at the edges. Her dark scales run over her cheekbones, extending out over her down-pointed horns. Usually, unless found in the heat of combat or heavy activity, she wears a pair of spectacles which draw attention to her odd-colored eyes, one blue and one brown, both bearing white limbal rings. Mainly cosmetic, the lenses of the spectacles offer a slight aid when reading up close, but are not a necessity for Chotan to see.

Among Chotan's myriad of outfits, a favorite of hers tends to be a dark, deep red vest and sleeveless white shirt, paired with dark belts and white, tribal-inspired pants. Her preference comes from a proclaimed ease of movement, allowing for ready availability of whatever tools of research or self defense to be readied at a moments notice. Additionally, her preference for the color red seems to stem from her newfound 'home away from home' of Limsa Lominsa.

With her shorter stature, Chotan is also very slim. What she may not have developed in terms of more womanly curves, she has instead cultivated in skills and strength, which lend her slender limbs a fair bit of visible muscle. This isn't to say she is flat as a board, and in fact any insinuation towards such is likely to place you on the receiving end of an expertly aimed strike from her current weapon of choice.

== History ==
(Coming Soon)

== Skills and Equipment ==
Chotan has trained in a myriad of skills over her travels. The majority of which have revolved around magick and other avenues of aetheric research. Primarily, her talents reside in the field of Arcanima and Magitech, though her growing affiliation with the Maelstrom has lead to an increased use and interest in Astrology and star-reading, both for its magical uses and for navigation. This isn't to say her talents in martial combat arts is anything to scoff at, but if presented the choice she would choose magicks over a blade.

Overall, Chotan's abilities stand as such:

* Arcanima - Proficient - One of the first arts she studied and practiced upon arrival in Eorzia.
* Astrology - Skilled - Study into the stars has been a growing interest for her long with her life among the Maelstrom.
* Marksmanship, Rifle - Skilled - As above, influence from Maelstrom associates birthed an interest and study in firearms.
* Katana - Skilled - A talent honed in her homeland. Less commonly used, but still keeps practicing.
* Gunblade - Talented - Intrigued by combinations of firearms and blades she tinkers here and there with mixed results.
* Nimian Scholary - Talented (No Fairy, Just Tactics) - As others in the Maelstrom research the ancient texts, she studies their findings.
* Thaumaturgy - Limited - Drawing from internal aether is something that does not come easy to her.
* Conjuration - Limited - Likewise, communing with elementals is a challenge for her.
* Two-Handed Swords - Limited - While capable of swinging the heavier blade, habits of her skill with a katana spring up hampering her progress.

To accompany her talents, she has gathered various tools for their respective uses including, but not entirely limited to:

* Various grimoires of arcanima formulas, many hand-crafted.
* A portable astrolab and set of fortune cards, purchased from seafaring traders.
* A Maelstrom issued rifle, reflective of her rank.
* A single katana brought over from her initial voyage through Doma.
* A simple gunblade purchased from Mor Dhona craftsmen.
* A rod and staff for focusing aether for thaumaturgy and conjuration respectively.
* A single greatsword of Maelstrom design.

Chotan is no astonishing beauty, but she isn't exactly someone who blends into crowds either. She's five feet and one inch tall, with tanned skin. She has dark brown hair, with brighter, dirty-blonde highlights streaking through her bangs. Her dark Xaela scales run over her cheekbones, extending out over her down-pointed horns. Usually, unless found in the heat of combat or heavy activity, she wears a pair of spectacles which draw attention to her odd-colored eyes, one blue and one brown.

== Basic Character ==
Glacir (Pronounced glay-''seer'') is an academic, always found engaged in some manner of research or the application of said research. Be it ancient texts of healing and battle strategy, the complex patterns of the cosmos above, or even distilling potions and remedies from wild plants, he strives to fill his mind with knowledge and skills for any feasible situation. With his nose usually in some book or another, it has lead him to lead a fairly solitary life, but those who contribute to his research or pry him from them find a man who is sincere and passionate.

== Appearance ==
Glacir is average height for a Midlander, standing just shy of six fulms tall. Despite his devotion to academics, his field work has given him quite a bit of noticeable muscle tone. He has medium length light brown hair with dark chestnut highlights in his bangs and at the tips. Behind his bangs, his eyes are a deep turquoise blue. On his right cheek he has a faint red tattoo, a reminder of his roots before he began his travels. On his left shoulder, he has tattoos of an hourglass and a scroll, the symbols of Althyk and Thaliak respectively.

In regards to attire it varies depending on his activity. When he travels to locations where he must look his best, he can be found in various manners of cloaks and robes, long cloth garments favored by spell casters and researchers that make him seem official and respectable. When out on field work, he alters his attire to whatever would best suit the activity, ranging from heavier protective gear when gathering volatile ingredients to lightweight vests and leggings when going around town shopping. However, his most common attire is what he wears when he is relaxing or doing personal research. In these situations, he often goes with the simplest, comfortable clothing he has: a Moonfire Faire yukata, a pair of shorts, and sandals. Despite the somewhat revealing nature of the outfit, he will wear it in the open if his research requires travel, simply because changing would be too much of a hassle.

== Personality ==
Glacir is a reserved, calm person. He takes his time to plan actions out when presented with challenges, and when he fails he examines the outcome to learn from the mistakes. When a topic or event catches his interest Glacir is known to grow quite passionate and devote his full attention to it. All these factors make him a bit of a loner, but despite the outward appearance of being walled off or preoccupied, he will gladly put aside his current research to socialize with others.

== History ==
=== Birth and Early Life ===
Glacir was born to a pair of traveling merchants and sailors while docked in Sharlayan. Deciding it would be best for the boy to grow up before taking him out to sea, his parents bought a small house and shop in a port town where they raised Glacir, while the rest of the traders and sailors continued their voyage. As he grew, Glacir spent his days watching his parents tend their shop and practicing basic seafaring tasks on docked boats. But what truly sparked the boy's interest, was the various wizened researchers and inventors that came and went through the town. In particular, he took quite an interest in an old Seawolf Roegadyn researcher, who was always followed around by a pair of mammets and a carbuncle. Any day the researcher was in town Glacir would follow and watch the various experiments he would conduct, often times seeing them fail, but always with amazement and focused interest.

As he grew older, Glacir became more involved in his parents' store, running errands and delivering orders for those who were unable to make it into town. On numerous occasions these deliveries would end with him staying out as late as possible, as his interest in the customers' research would have him stay to discuss or observe whatever they were planning. While the late returns worried his parents, they did not worry too much knowing their son's interests and encouraging him to learn and experience as much as he could before the time came they would return to a life of travel.

=== First Apprenticeship and Departure from Sharlayan ===
Upon Glacir's 15th birthday, it was decided that he and his parents would return to the ship they had left when next it docked at the town in half a year's time. Wanting their son to make the most of the time remaining to prepare and say goodbye to the land that had been his home, they gave him leave to wander and do as he wished. For the first few days, he simply climbed up the taller hills outside the town and watched the land, taking in the fact that he would leave. After a week, he started to roam the port town, greeting friends and customers as he went, looking through the other shops and stalls. After the first month had passed, he had gathered a small pack of supplies, and left the town, traveling a few malms out until he encountered a small home away from the main road. Knocking upon the door, he was greeted by the old Roegadyn researcher he had followed and watched as a child. Showing up unannounced, Glacir pleaded with the man to let him study under his guidance for the months he had left before his departure. Much to his surprise, the Roegadyn agreed almost instantly, and welcomed the boy into his home.

For four months Glacir lived with the researcher, studying the basic properties of the aether and how to focus and concentrate it into spells and other useful forms. Despite his passion for the subject and retention of the knowledge, applying the theories in practice proved a challenge with a rod or staff, the only magical tools the boy could afford. Seeing the struggled Glacir was having with his chosen equipment in his second month of study, the Roegadyn offered him an alternative: an old grimoire and quill. Explaining the basics to Glacir, the old researcher demonstrated how the symbols and writings within the grimoire could channel the aether within and around him into spells of destruction, healing, or even creation of a carbuncle. Opening the book himself, Glacir picked up on the process much faster, casting his first basic spell within the hour, and consequently breaking a sizable hole in the researcher's window. In his final month of study under the Roegadyn, Glacir mastered three spells, and was gifted numerous tomes to further his knowledge during his remaining month on land, and subsequent voyage.

When at last the time came for Glacir and his parents to leave Sharlayan for the open sea once more, his Roegadyn teacher came to the port town to see him off. While the boat was loaded with supplies and cargo, the old researcher told Glacir of his past as a sailor himself, a tactician for a large naval fleet in a land to the south. But as he had grown older and the crews younger, he couldn't keep up and stepped down from his post. Eventually finding his way to Sharlayan, he had planned to live out his days drinking and researching. But when fate dropped a young lad eager to learn on his doorstep, just as he was about to take to the sea no less, the Roegadyn was compelled to oblige and impart what skills he could. As a final gesture and reminder of the skills he had learned, the old researcher took Glacir to a local tattoo artist and, with the consent of the boy's parents, marked his right cheek before he boarded the boat, leaving Sharlayan behind.

=== Seafaring Life and The Calamity ===
Traveling across the seas to various ports across the land, Glacir and his family eventually docked in northern Eorzea, making a point to avoid regions in which Primal activities had been reported. During these travels, Glacir continues his study of magic, practicing beneficial and healing magic on the boat when required, and more dangerous, destructive spells when given shore-leave. It was a peaceful, simple life for the most part. Occasional scuffles with bandits and pirates kept things from becoming dull, and Glacir made due with what he had.

At least until The Calamity. 1572, as Glacir was turning 18, he and his family watched from the sea as the lesser moon began to descend. Taking it as an ill omen, the trading vessel ceased it's travels to Eorzea, and set course to a safer shore. As they traveled, they saw a bright flash across the sky as Dalmund burst and Bahamut razed the landscape. Leaving the region behind, the ship docked at a distant port, and began resorting to alternate trade routes to keep away from the turbulent waters and lands. While his family and the ship weighed their own survival and safety higher than any opportunity to help Eorzea, Glacir felt an urge to turn back and help the people by putting his knowledge and skills to a wider use.

=== Return to Sharlayan and Adventuring Start ===
After a few years of traveling the alternate trade routes, the trader ship eventually made landfall in Sharlayan once more. Glacir, taking this chance for some time away from the ship, went back to the port town he grew up in. Still frustrated over his family's reluctance to return to Eorzea he wandered around the town, trying to sort through his feelings and thoughts. Needing someone to bounce his ideas and concerns off of, Glacir inquired about the old Seawolf researcher and learned he still resided at the same small building off the main road. Visiting his old mentor, Glacir explained his feelings and for the first time learned of the scale of the destruction wrought by Bahamut. With the knowledge only spurring him on more, Glacir made his ultimate decision to leave the trading vessel and set out on his own. Whether unable or unwilling to stop the young man, the old Roegadyn gave Glacir a final gift, a letter of recommendation to the Arcanist Guild of Limsa Lominsa. With the letter and his belongings packed, and various tools and books for his spell casting and research, Glacir went forth to further his knowledge and apply it as an adventurer in Eorzea.

=== Since Then ===
Glacir's life as an adventurer has been remarkably uneventful. Welcomed with open arms at the Arcanist Guild, he settled in Limsa quite easily, traveling on occasion to the edges of Vylbrand to conduct field research or help keep the peace when pirates got unruly. Being located in the most active ports of Eorzea, Glacir was easily able to keep in touch with Sharlayan colleagues, as well as any traveling researchers from within the realm. Among those contacts and associates, a few were able to offer him tomes and personal notes on rarer arts of spellcraft, including Summoning and Nymian healing arts. While the knowledge within the tomes fascinated Glacir to no end, without ready access to corresponding Soul Crystals his research ended at theory for these subjects.

As more time passed, one of Glacir's contacts in Sharlayan gifted him a Star Globe and books on Sharlayan Astrology, one of few studies Glacir had overlooked during his childhood. With growing interest in the subject, Glacir made quick work of memorizing the books and notes his associate had sent him, and soon headed off towards Coerthas and the Holy See of Ishgard, the land at the forefront of astrology in Eorzea. Immediately turned away, and realizing that the studies performed by the Observatorium's astrologians was vastly different from that which his contact had sent, Glacir turned instead to self-study and advancement of the research given to him.

With Primal uprisings becoming an all too frequent threat to the land, Glacir has participated in a few large scale operations to push back the beast tribes, and destroy their gods. In one such encounter with a revived Titan he discovered he possessed some natural resistance to Tempering, which allowed him to lend his spellcasting talents to the front line of adventurers and troops. Since that encounter, Glacir has set out to determine the source of his resistance and to test its limits, within reason.

=== Since Then ===
Glacir's life as an adventurer has been remarkably uneventful.

==Basic Info==
Otgiva Cordwyk; Wanted by the Garlean Empire for the crimes of Treason, Desertion, Breaking Out of Prison, etc. Repeatedly captured and escaping from Garlean prisons in various regions under control by the empire, the latest reports suggest she has fled into Eorzea with various pieces of magitech, and most likely plotting to continue her rebellion against Garlean Rule.

==History==
Otgiva was born under Garlean rule, her country long subjugated by the empire in it's conquest of Ilsabard. Her parents were civilians, basic craftsmen who sold and repaired goods for the military forces that came through their settlement. Far from well-off, Otgiva's parents resented their conquerers, and their hated for Garlemald extended to their child. However, unlike her parents who silently held their grudge, Otgiva was quite vocal in her disdain of the Garleans. Seen as a possible threat, and fearful the girl would raise a resistance force, she was forced into the military, with the hopes she would fall on the front lines and cause no more trouble.

Within the Garlean military, Otgiva received various forms of training and conditioning to keep her in line. Silently bearing her grudge still, she learned what she could from her instructors and the other soldiers she was stationed with. Favoring her bare hands or small knives for combat, she was often sent as a scout on missions, an event that made her inevitable desertion all the easier. Casting her armor aside, she fled into the wilds of Eorzea, fleeing into Thanalan with a few pieces of Magitech weaponry that allowed her to avoid or otherwise hold back her pursuers.

Stumbling through the deserts, Otgiva hid among a few refugee camps from those who had fled Ala Mhigo in the wake of the Garlean occupation and Calamity. Among their numbers, she began to chat with those who plotted against Garlemald and stood proud as resistance fighters. Traveling with a small group, she studied their traditional combat styles and slowly worked them into her own as they ambushed and fought against Garlean patrols and supply lines.

After years of travel so far from her own home however, Otgiva began to lose motivation to continue fighting the Garleans. As the refugees she was traveling with passed Ul'dah one day, she said her goodbyes and wished them luck, entering the city and settling in at the Adventurer's Guild. Since that day, she has made use of her combat skills, practicing them in the field to protect herself and others from the varying, numerous dangers of Eorzea.

==Personality==

==Affiliations==
=== Former ===
==== ''Garlemald'' ====
Otgiva was forced into the Garlean Military as it became clear she would cause more trouble if left in her homeland, attempting to raise a resistance or revolution. During her duty she absorbed a few various fighting styles into her own combat repertoire, ranging from the use of magitech firearms to more stealthy use of daggers. Of course she never intended to stay silent, and at every chance available Otgiva would sabotage and attempt escape. After her numerous successes at escaping, she has now been declared a fugitive.

==== ''Ala Mhigan Resistance'' ====
After her escape attempt, Otgiva found herself allied with part of the Ala Mhigan Resistance. Striking at the Garlean trade routes, she helped them in their struggles to survive and plan to take back their home. However, after a few months of following the refugees through Thanalan, Otgiva began to grow distant from the group. Having been an outsider the entire time she was never particularly close or dedicated to their cause, and eventually she parted ways with them outside Ul'dah.

=== Current ===
==== ''Adventurer's Guild'' ====
Settling in Eorzea, Otgiva now wanders the realm as an Adventurer. Taking up quests for the City-States, she lends her skills wherever they're needed, while striking back at any Garlean forces that come after her.

==Skills==
=== Combat ===
==== ''Knives'' ====
Otgiva has used small knives as a weapon since her initial protests in her homeland. Under Garlean training, she adopted some of the skills of the Eastern nations. Since coming to Eorzea, her skills have not diminished, but as she is unaware of any Eorzean combat styles using knives, she avoids public use so as not to stand out or cause people to worry.

==== ''Unarmed'' ====
After her knives were initially confiscated by military forces, Otgiva turned to punches and kicks to resist the soldiers. Within the military itself, she learned some simple grappling and striking techniques to use on missions if she encountered hostile forces. But she learned the most about hand to hand combat from the Ala Mhigan refugees she traveled with, learning the bare basics of fist fighting that she has continued expanding on as she traveled Eorzea as an adventurer.

==== ''Marksmanship'' ====
Within the Garlean military Otgiva recieved minimal training in the use of magitech firearms. She was a horrid shot, with very poor accuracy. Since arriving in Eorzea her aim has only gotten worse, but she has favored close combat over ranged anyway.

=== Crafting ===
==== ''Goldsmith'' ====
Otgiva's parents were craftsmen and she has inherited their precision and skill in making fine detailed works despite her rougher appearance and demeanor. Taking an interest in goldsmithing, she joined the guild within Ul'dah and works there creating basic jewelry when her travels as an adventurer bring her back to the city.
==== ''Tinkering'' ====
Otgiva has always had an interest in the basic workings of magitech and other mechanical items. Every now and then when her travels lets her get her hands on machinery she will spend a few hours examining and taking it apart, then attempting to reassemble it, usually meeting with failure.

==Basic Info==

==History==

==Personality==

==Affiliations==
=== Former ===
==== ''Garlemald'' ====

==== ''Ala Mhigan Resistance'' ====

=== Current ===
==== ''Adventurer's Guild'' ====
Settling in Eorzea, Otgiva now wanders the realm as an Adventurer. Taking up quests for the City-States, she lends her skills wherever they're needed, while striking back at any Garlean forces that come after her.

==Skills==
=== Combat ===
''Knives'' - Otgiva has used small knives as a weapon since her initial protests in her homeland. Under Garlean training, she adopted some of the skills of the Eastern nations. Since coming to Eorzea, her skills have not diminished, but as she is unaware of any Eorzean combat styles using knives, she avoids public use so as not to stand out or cause people to worry.

''Unarmed'' - After her knives were initially confiscated by military forces, Otgiva turned to punches and kicks to resist the soldiers.

''Marksmanship'' - Within the Garlean military Otgiva recieved minimal training in the use of magitech firearms. She was a horrid shot, with very poor accuracy. Since arriving in Eorzea her aim has only gotten worse, but she has favored close combat over ranged anyway.

=== Crafting ===
''Goldsmith'' - Otgiva's parents were craftsmen and she has inherited their precision and skill in making fine detailed works despite her rougher appearance and demeanor. Taking an interest in goldsmithing, she joined the guild within Ul'dah and works there creating basic jewelry when her travels as an adventurer bring her back to the city.

''Tinkering'' - Otgiva has always had an interest in the basic workings of magitech and other mechanical items. Every now and then when her travels lets her get her hands on machinery she will spend a few hours examining and taking it apart, then attempting to reassemble it, usually meeting with failure.

((Obvious WIP is Obvious...))

== Basic Character ==

== Appearance ==

== Personality ==

== History ==

=== Since Then ===
Glacir's life as an adventurer has been remarkably uneventful.

== Basic Character ==

== Appearance ==

== Personality ==
Glacir Clayworth is an academic, always found engaged in some manner of research or the application of said research. Be it ancient texts of healing and battle strategy, the complex patterns of the cosmos above, or even distilling potions and remedies from wild plants, he strives to fill his mind with knowledge and skills for any feasible situation. With his nose usually in some book or another, it has lead him to lead a fairly solitary life, but those who contribute to his research or pry him from them find a man who is sincere and energetic.

== Appearance ==
Glacir is average height for a Midlander, standing just shy of six fulms tall. Despite his devotion to academics, his field work has given him quite a bit of noticeable muscle tone. He has medium length light brown hair with dark chestnut highlights in his bangs and at the tips.
