Family: Herys doesn't often talk about her family, let alone openly. She has mentioned her mother on one or two occasions in reference that she misses her, and that there are extenuating circumstances that prevent her from returning home.

Herys is generally a free spirit. She is dry humored, mischievous and playful. There is a bit of sarcasm and snark, but she is soft-hearted towards those she cares for. Herys doesn't trust very often, but once established she can be is loyal, fiercely protective and dependable to a fault. There also is a tendancy to be overly sensitive in regards to her status around the people in her life.
If she says she's going to do something for you, she will. To strangers, she mades good on her word within reason.
She does not respond well to males (Miqo'te males have a more volatile reaction) asserting themselves or their positions over her.

Her hands are small, and fingers thin and delicate - though a few small scars remain on them, alongside a rather large, slashing scar on the top of her left hand (and a smaller companion on her right). Her scales, rich navy like most Xaela, cover her body a little more along her sides and hips than average, and her tail is thin and long with an almost spade-tail tip. Her horns are thick and curl in a manner to protect her face, tipped in light green pigment - the scales there slightly thinner than normal. When flustered, the tips flush with blood much like one could imagine a hyur's ears to.

Her face can best be described as a "chronic pout-face", as her default expression is usually that of mild displeasure. Saturated red pigment lines her sharp eyes, as make up she uses to hide the fact she ends up with little sleep due to constant library binges - with her iris being a pale green, outlined with bright gold. Most of her social experience, after all, comes from tending to people within the medicine tent of the Malaguld; with ailments varying from simple scrapes to shock and hallucination plaguing the tribe, keeping someone from reacting while trying to help them recover can sometimes be a difference between life and death. The lass also holds the ability to ''conjure'' up sympathy and happy lies -- another holdover, from time of comforting the dying.

Beyond that, however, even Yagaan doesn't fully understand. As lacking in genuine socialization as she is, she tries her damnedest to try to fit into situations and conversations with people (or topics) that interest her. Favoring reason and logic over sentiment, however, she can fall short in the sympathy department during genuine conversations -- using her blunt worldview of one who has, indeed, had to see a lot of death -- and be a hand for it. It's not something that has totally ruined her inside (as she can attest, quite calmly), but the cool ease she speaks of various morbid topics and desires can catch one off guard. The biggest problem of all is that she still has yet to grasp her personality, despite acting as the mature woman she ''wants'' to be - leading to her very often being flustered or insecure (''especially'' when comparing her traditional methods to those involving aether!). Indranil, her paternal grandmother, was a long-lived 'silverscale' (half-Raen, half-Xaela) and one of their most esteemed of healers. Their family was a small one that was on good terms with the rest of the tribe - though many a Malaguld, be they elder or youth, shudder at the thought of having to enter Indranil's tent, lest they get her lecture and glare - and even more thought it was better than the old hag beating them into submission with her cane.

She was a friendly child, close to many of the others around her age - particularly close to dreamy Hariko and scrapper Temujin.

Like many things, however, it wasn't meant to last. At five summers, a rather peculiar illness overtook a few of the tribe's younglings. Her father and a few others volunteered to seek the cure - a rare herb that, unfortunately, grew in territories known to be contested over. Knowing the risks, they undertook the quest.

Unfortunately, that was also the last they saw of the men and women who went to scout alive. Less than a month later (as the tribe moved as they often did, knowing the scouts would know of their location) the well younglings were out playing as they often did on the trails, when a fell wind crossed the air. While this deterred a few of them, Yagaan (younger and eager to prove herself brave) followed those who so dared to investigate the thicket.

It was there she made eye to eye(less) contact with the decaying corpse of her father and the others.

It was the screaming of them, the terror of the others, and the smell that brought the adults to the sight; Maalingyn simply shut down at the mention of it, not having the will to investigate -- whilst Indranil moaned in agony and horror, of the state of her beloved only son. For Yagaan, it was the last she had time to play so often with her friends, as her grandmother took to her tent as a young apprentice - with little argument from her mother, as it meant the girl would never possibly be killed like her husband.

Compared to many of her kin, where she should have been a youth figuring out what place she has in the tribe and how to suit it, instead had her fate laid before her -- after all, the years of training that ensued left her with little time to practice (or enjoy) other pursuits, or spend meaningful time with her fellow Malaguld. Instead, Yagaan had been sternly trained -- the switch scars on her hand a testament to the methods her grandmother employed in "tempering the steel of the clan's future". Though the memories of days past were fond, she resented her situation as she grew older.

Stubbornly asocial and hellsbent on study, Yagaan is one of the many Malaguld tribe to make their way to Eorzea trying to find a place for herself. She (at least tries to) keeps an air of maturity around herself, stemming from years of work as the clan's medicine woman - being bedside to many dying, dead, suffering, and battle-hewn does that, after all. Her facial features, voice, and height betray her true age, however, as well as her lack of experience in most anything other than medicine/animal dressing. Her clansmen know her to be notoriously grumpy and dangerously curious - a combination that she quickly bounces between.

: With hair in a chronic mess and a listlessly sleepless look from her, Yagaan is but a wisp of a girl - thin, wiry, and tiny - the only exception being a pair of strong, long legs. Her hands are small, and fingers thin and delicate - though a few small scars remain on them, alongside a rather large, slashing scar on the top of her left hand (and a smaller companion on her right). Her scales, rich navy like most Xaela, cover her body a little more along her sides and hips than average, and her tail is thin and long with an almost spade-tail tip. Her horns are thick and curl in a manner to protect her face, tipped in light green pigment - the scales there slightly thinner than normal. When flustered, the tips flush with blood much like one could imagine a hyur's ears to.

Her face can best be described as a "chronic pout-face", as her default expression is usually that of mild displeasure. Saturated red pigment lines her sharp eyes, as make up she uses to hide the fact she ends up with little sleep due to constant library binges - with her iris being a pale green, outlined with bright gold. Flaxen hair frames her scale-lined face, sticking up anywhere it might be short, and a pair of sidetails starting underneath her horns.

She seems to favor luxurious/cute clothing of expensive material and Eorzean fashion, with anything very frilly/lacy being her favorites. It's also common to find her wearing various bits and baubles upon her wrists and horns, though never rings - as she keeps her scars hidden with gloves.

In a word, Yagaan can be describe as "Temperance" - despite her sometimes rather terrible social gaffs, she excels at keeping people (and herself) calm in many situations; be they far too excited to stand still, too angry for reason, or too sorrowful to stand. Most of her social experience, after all, comes from tending to people within the medicine tent of the Malaguld; with ailments varying from simple scrapes to shock and hallucination plaguing the tribe, keeping someone from reacting while trying to help them recover can sometimes be a difference between life and death. The lass also holds the ability to ''conjure'' up sympathy and happy lies -- another holdover, from time of comforting the dying.

Beyond that, however, even Yagaan doesn't fully understand. As lacking in genuine socialization as she is, she tries her damnedest to try to fit into situations and conversations with people (or topics) that interest her. Favoring reason and logic over sentiment, however, she can fall short in the sympathy department during genuine conversations -- using her blunt worldview of one who has, indeed, had to see a lot of death -- and be a hand for it. It's not something that has totally ruined her inside (as she can attest, quite calmly), but the cool ease she speaks of various morbid topics and desires can catch one off guard. The biggest problem of all is that she still has yet to grasp her personality, despite acting as the mature woman she ''wants'' to be - leading to her very often being flustered or insecure (''especially'' when comparing her traditional methods to those involving aether!). She is also quick to try to prove herself wise and intelligent, spouting (sometimes relevant) bits of wisdom and trying to use the various new/"complicated" words of Eorzean she picks up.

However, even temperance can fly out of the window when something piques her curiosity.

:An average child by most Xaela means, Yagaan's early childhood was mostly uneventful. Her parents had their roles in the tribe - Khurel, her father, was a herbalist, whilst her mother Maalingyn was one of the tribe's spearmen. Indranil, her paternal grandmother, was a long-lived 'silverscale' (half-Raen, half-Xaela) and one of their most esteemed of healers. Their family was a small one that was on good terms with the rest of the tribe - though many a Malaguld, be they elder or youth, shudder at the thought of having to enter Indranil's tent, lest they get her lecture and glare - and even more thought it was better than the old hag beating them into submission with her cane.

She was a friendly child, close to many of the others around her age - particularly close to dreamy Hariko and scrapper Temujin.

Like many things, however, it wasn't meant to last. At five summers, a rather peculiar illness overtook a few of the tribe's younglings. Her father and a few others volunteered to seek the cure - a rare herb that, unfortunately, grew in territories known to be contested over. Knowing the risks, they undertook the quest.

Unfortunately, that was also the last they saw of the men and women who went to scout alive. Less than a month later (as the tribe moved as they often did, knowing the scouts would know of their location) the well younglings were out playing as they often did on the trails, when a fell wind crossed the air. While this deterred a few of them, Yagaan (younger and eager to prove herself brave) followed those who so dared to investigate the thicket.

It was there she made eye to eye(less) contact with the decaying corpse of her father and the others.

It was the screaming of them, the terror of the others, and the smell that brought the adults to the sight; Maalingyn simply shut down at the mention of it, not having the will to investigate -- whilst Indranil moaned in agony and horror, of the state of her beloved only son. For Yagaan, it was the last she had time to play so often with her friends, as her grandmother took to her tent as a young apprentice - with little argument from her mother, as it meant the girl would never possibly be killed like her husband.

Compared to many of her kin, where she should have been a youth figuring out what place she has in the tribe and how to suit it, instead had her fate laid before her -- after all, the years of training that ensued left her with little time to practice (or enjoy) other pursuits, or spend meaningful time with her fellow Malaguld. Instead, Yagaan had been sternly trained -- the switch scars on her hand a testament to the methods her grandmother employed in "tempering the steel of the clan's future". Though the memories of days past were fond, she resented her situation as she grew older.

: Her mother's "condition" hardly improved -- Maalingyn a listless shell of her old, stern self, taking it upon herself to handle all dangerous work the clan needed should they allow her to oversee them. The only contact the two had was her occasional visit to the medical tent -- with either Indranil or Yagaan the one to clean up whatever mess she might have gotten herself into. It was a visit that brought a heavy silence over the tent, and would not fade for the next few bells.

About eight feet in height, with a rich dark dusky-blue skin. Though he is a mage, he sports an athletic and toned body, nicely muscled, without being overly done or too buff. Slightly androgynous in the face, with long lashes and full lips, often seen sporting eyeshadow and lip paint in subtle hues that compliment his tones. His hair, primarily that of a deep raven black, is often highlighed in various colors, though colors which overall seem to compliment him are used, hangs well to his waist. He cares a lot about how it looks and is often fussing with it. His nails are a bit longer and sharper than perhaps some other miqo'te, almost like talons. One might think he paints them, but they are naturally ebon in color. There is a large scar upon the left side of his face, from about forehead to chin, appears to have been made with a knife; a smaller scar, on the right side above his jaw, also apparently made with a small knife; left eye a deep rich crimson, right eye a brilliant and vibrant red-orange
Personality

A'xun tends to be outgoing most of the time. He also tends to be highly flirtatious on occasion, and rarely holds back from speaking his mind, which has gotten him in trouble a time or two. He has been described as silver-tongued, and can be quite charming when he is of a mind to be so. He doesn't seem to care much one way or the other about what others think of him, with the exception perhaps of a small handful of those he calls friend. He has a bit of a temper to, and is known to be fiercely protective of his friends and mates, sometimes to a fault. Also known to be at times cocky, arrogant and a bit of a peacock, he also has a gentler, caring more nurturing side, though again, only a few have been privy to this as well.

A'xun is non-traditional, preferring the company of males over females, and has long since been removed from tribal traditions. He is one of those who is either liked or disliked, with very few ever going in between. Depending on who you ask, he is either an a**hole or a great individual to know. Honing his craft as a Black Mage, he has a definite affinity for fire magics. He tends to be fairly easy going, but also gets riled at times. Rumors abound about him, with very few seeming to have any actual basis on any minor facts. These he easily dismisses, figuring he can't stop someone from believing a rumor, and has been lucky enough to meet a few who got to know him, perhaps because of some of the rumors, and has developed a small circle of friends, preferring quality over quantity. There are also those "acquaintances" individuals he knows in passing, maybe enough to talk to, but who haven't quite earned the trust to be called friend. He is one of those types who can be really likeable one day, and then does something the next to raise questions in one's mind the next. However, despite his flaws, the fact remains he is loyal to those who have earned his trust, and can be a good individual to have on your side.

Herys is generally a free spirit. She is dry humored, mischievous and playful. There is a bit of sarcasm and snark, but she is soft-hearted towards those she cares for. Herys doesn't trust very often, but once established she can be is loyal, fiercely protective and dependable to a fault. There also is a tendancy to be overly sensitive in regards to her status around the people in her life.
If she says she's going to do something for you, she will. To strangers, she mades good on her word within reason.
She does not respond well to males (Miqo'te males have a more volatile reaction) asserting themselves or their positions over her.

==Appearance==

Tall even by Roe standards, Whispering has constantly stood out wherever he is. Usually wearing loose fitting clothing a myriad of scars across his skin, telling of battles long past. This lighter skin Roe carries himself with a level of cool confidence which shows throughout his entire person. In his normal outfit(s) he has a tool belt which carries a wide assortment, while still keeping them firmly secure if the need for physical exertion happens.

==History==
Born as the third child of his family it was no secret that he would be the one to venture out and make a name for himself, and he had never backed down.

First making a stop in Limsa Lominsa he quickly joined a pirate crew when they discovered he had a profficiency with axe, and even more profficiency repairing them. After more than a few skirmishes He decided this was not the life for him and started looking elsewhere, Using the skills he was taught as a child he joined the Blacksmith's guild, where he climbed the ranks with relative ease due to his talent. After serving the guild for around 5 years he started dreaming of better things, and rather than just accept making another set of steel rivets he simply laid down his hammer and walked away.

Attracted to the deserts of Thanalan he met up with Master Mutamix. Amazed by the amount of research into the workings of materia suddenly became available, he set to learning everything he could. While the nature of Mutamix's party was supportive, there was a bit of tension regarding Whispering Storm's methods, while others sought ways to purify and empower materia, he sought ways to break it down without losing its potency. Eventually this tension caused him to leave but the knowledge gained allowed for a continuation of studies. Floating around aimlessly for a bit, crafting only when his need for gil before moving on became too much.

His crafting reputation grew enough for people to recognize the Storm crafted weapons, along with his style of using the materia powder in the crafting itself, making arms and armor more durable, more resistant to the elements, and hold their edge and rigidity longer. During the opening of the gates of Ishgard this caught him an invite as a in house smith, and while the pay was good, Whispering Storm had spent too much time wandering to be settled under the Templar's eyes. With a new area to explore however Whispering Storm had more than enough to see, and his wanderings eventually took him to Idlyshire.

Immediately upon entering, he felt more at peace than he had for a while. Here was a blank slate, a city in the making. With the goblins all constantly working on something or other, it was not difficult for him to find something to do in order to help. His skill with tools, along with his acceptance of unconventional methods allowed him to fit in very well.

==Appearance==

Tall even by Roe standards, Whispering has constantly stood out wherever he is. Usually wearing loose fitting clothing a myriad of scars across his skin, telling of battles long past. This lighter skin Roe carries himself with a level of cool confidence which shows throughout his entire person. In his normal outfit(s) he has a tool belt which carries a wide assortment, while still keeping them firmly secure if the need for physical exertion happens.

==History==
Born as the third child of his family it was no secret that he would be the one to venture out and make a name for himself, and he had never backed down.

First making a stop in Limsa Lominsa he quickly joined a pirate crew when they discovered he had a profficiency with axe, and even more profficiency repairing them. After more than a few skirmishes He decided this was not the life for him and started looking elsewhere, Using the skills he was taught as a child he joined the Blacksmith's guild, where he climbed the ranks with relative ease due to his talent. After serving the guild for around 5 years he started dreaming of better things, and rather than just accept making another set of steel rivets he simply laid down his hammer and walked away.

Attracted to the deserts of Thanalan he met up with Master Mutamix. Amazed by the amount of research into the workings of materia suddenly became available, he set to learning everything he could. While the nature of Mutamix's party was supportive, there was a bit of tension regarding Whispering Storm's methods, while others sought ways to purify and empower materia, he sought ways to break it down without losing its potency. Eventually this tension caused him to leave but the knowledge gained allowed for a continuation of studies. Floating around aimlessly for a bit, crafting only when his need for gil before moving on became too much.

His crafting reputation grew enough for people to recognize the Storm crafted weapons, along with his style of using the materia powder in the crafting itself, making arms and armor more durable, more resistant to the elements, and hold their edge and rigidity longer. During the opening of the gates of Ishgard this caught him an invite as a in house smith, and while the pay was good, Whispering Storm had spent too much time wandering to be settled under the Templar's eyes. With a new area to explore however Whispering Storm had more than enough to see, and his wanderings eventually took him to Idlyshire.

Immediately upon entering, he felt more at peace than he had for a while. Here was a blank slate, a city in the making. With the goblins all constantly working on something or other, it was not difficult for him to find something to do in order to help. His skill with tools, along with his acceptance of unconventional methods allowed him to fit in very well.

==Appearance==
Brendt is tall, and built. He walkes with the confident gait of a pit-fighting gladiator, and stands with the dicipline and attentiveness of a solider. His hair is a muddy sort of red, looking a lot like rich clay, but also appears lightened by extensive amounts of exposure in the sunlight. His darker skin is started to look a bit weathered, breaking away from the soft youthfulness as time wears on.
He has a few facial scars, a light one across his right eye, another through the left corner of his mouth. Tatoo on left side of face. Deep scar on his back, from his left shoulder blade down and across to near his hips.

Being a former Ul'dahn gladiator, Brendt has a varying amounts of miscellanious, pale scars that litter his visable flesh, contrasting heavily on his dark skin. If caught without clothing, (and ladies, you barely have to give him reason to strip so watch out!) the deep scar mentioned before is quite the sight, looking to be a wound caused by a heavy, bladed weapon.

Though he has mis-matched eyes (left is brown, right is bright green,) he wears an eyepatch over his left eye so it's a detail often missed. He is rarely ever found without his weapons of choice: A sword (which is typically a scimitar) and shield. When off duty and roaming to what he can at best claim to be adventuring, he wears a full, sturdy suit of armour. When he's out boozing, it's usually casual and comfortable clothing. More often than not, its his favorite pink shirt.

Birthplace: Ala Mhigo, Gyr Abania
Family: Brendt actually doesn't talk about his family.

Backstory: Brendt will tell you that he was a young refugee after Ala Mhigo was lost, a shared plight for most Highlanders. He wandered and struggled to survive for about five years until he arrived in Ul'dah. He started to earn a living by becomming a gladiator and fighting in the ring. Deciding he wanted to fight with purpose, not just fame and glory, he found his way into a mercenary group made up of former Immortal Flames until the Grand Company was reformed, where he officially enlisted and has been since.

==Personality==
Brendt is generally very care-free in a lot of aspects in his life. He doesn't tie himself down in a place of residence, and is always ready to move if needed. He has a very strong sense of right and wrong, and his deepy wounded if others are in obvious pain around him. Brendt always tries to do right, and do the right thing, even if he knows it might be futile. He has a hard time "turning the other cheek," which is usually why he spends very little time in Ul'dah.

Brendt is loyal and dependable to a fault. If he says he's going to do something for you, he will. To strangers, he mades good on his word within reason. To friends and family, there is no "within reason," he'd find a way to move that mountain, or die trying.

Though, every good man has his vices. And this man loves to drink, and hates sleeping alone. He can be quite a flirt, and it only gets worse with the addition of alcohol. He knows he's a decently attractive man, and in that sense he can be a bit full of himself.

He also LOVES chocobo. If he could be anything in the next life.... He'd beg and plead to the Twelve to be a Chocobo.

Herys is generally a free spirit. She is dry humored, mischievous and playful. There is a bit of sarcasm and snark, but she is soft-hearted towards those she cares for. Herys doesn't trust very often, but once established she can be is loyal, fiercely protective and dependable to a fault. There also is a tendancy to be overly sensitive in regards to her status around the people in her life.
If she says she's going to do something for you, she will. To strangers, she mades good on her word within reason.

He wandered and struggled to survive for about five years until he arrived in Ul'dah. He started to earn a living by becomming a gladiator and fighting in the ring. Deciding he wanted to fight with purpose, not just fame and glory, he found his way into a mercenary group made up of former Immortal Flames until the Grand Company was reformed, where he officially enlisted and has been since.

Birthplace:
Family: Herys doesn't often talk about her family, let alone openly. She has mentioned her mother on one or two occasions in reference that she misses her, and that there are extenuating circumstances that prevent her from returning home.

Backstory: Brendt will tell you that he was a young refugee after Ala Mhigo was lost, a shared plight for most Highlanders. He wandered and struggled to survive for about five years until he arrived in Ul'dah. He started to earn a living by becomming a gladiator and fighting in the ring. Deciding he wanted to fight with purpose, not just fame and glory, he found his way into a mercenary group made up of former Immortal Flames until the Grand Company was reformed, where he officially enlisted and has been since.

==Personality==
Herys is generally a free spirit. She is dry humored, mischievous and playful. There is a bit of sarcasm and snark, but she is soft-hearted towards those she cares for. Herys doesn't trust very often, but once established she can be is loyal, fiercely protective and dependable to a fault. There also is a tendancy to be overly sensitive in regards to her status around the people in her life.
If she says she's going to do something for you, she will. To strangers, she mades good on her word within reason.

==Appearance==

Tall even by Roe standards, Whispering has constantly stood out wherever he is. Usually wearing loose fitting clothing a myriad of scars across his skin, telling of battles long past. This lighter skin Roe carries himself with a level of cool confidence which shows throughout his entire person. In his normal outfit(s) he has a tool belt which carries a wide assortment, while still keeping them firmly secure if the need for physical exertion happens.

==History==
Born as the third child of his family it was no secret that he would be the one to venture out and make a name for himself, and he had never backed down.

First making a stop in Limsa Lominsa he quickly joined a pirate crew when they discovered he had a profficiency with axe, and even more profficiency repairing them. After more than a few skirmishes He decided this was not the life for him and started looking elsewhere, Using the skills he was taught as a child he joined the Blacksmith's guild, where he climbed the ranks with relative ease due to his talent. After serving the guild for around 5 years he started dreaming of better things, and rather than just accept making another set of steel rivets he simply laid down his hammer and walked away.

Attracted to the deserts of Thanalan he met up with Master Mutamix. Amazed by the amount of research into the workings of materia suddenly became available, he set to learning everything he could. While the nature of Mutamix's party was supportive, there was a bit of tension regarding Whispering Storm's methods, while others sought ways to purify and empower materia, he sought ways to break it down without losing its potency. Eventually this tension caused him to leave but the knowledge gained allowed for a continuation of studies. Floating around aimlessly for a bit, crafting only when his need for gil before moving on became too much.

His crafting reputation grew enough for people to recognize the Storm crafted weapons, along with his style of using the materia powder in the crafting itself, making arms and armor more durable, more resistant to the elements, and hold their edge and rigidity longer. During the opening of the gates of Ishgard this caught him an invite as a in house smith, and while the pay was good, Whispering Storm had spent too much time wandering to be settled under the Templar's eyes. With a new area to explore however Whispering Storm had more than enough to see, and his wanderings eventually took him to Idlyshire.

Immediately upon entering, he felt more at peace than he had for a while. Here was a blank slate, a city in the making. With the goblins all constantly working on something or other, it was not difficult for him to find something to do in order to help. His skill with tools, along with his acceptance of unconventional methods allowed him to fit in very well.

Slow to speak, Whispering Storm prefers to let the actions of a person prove their worth.

Takes great pride in his accomplishments, but doesn't take praise very well.
