History
Edith was born in the squalor of the Brume out of wedlock to Marguerite, a servant of House Dzemael. Her father, one of the lords of House Dzemael, sought to keep the existence of young Edith a secret, lest scandal befall his house. For seventeen years, her mother raised her in the servant's quarters of the manor, where young Edith cleaned and cooked for the rest of the servants. Upon coming of age, though, she was brought into the main halls of the manor, and a twelvemoons-long nightmare began, as she was not granted leave of the building ever. There, she was mistreated as some of the more unfortunate female servants tend to be... until one day, she had enough. With little but the clothes on her back, she made her escape.
Now, she wanders the land of Eorzea in search of aid and employment, as she really hadn't put much thought into what to do after she was free. At first, she threw her lot in with the trading charter Callaway Holdings, where Ser Callaway instructed her upon her letters, and marksmanship. There, she met a young man named Justice Burke around Little Ladies' Day. The two quickly became more than friends. She made a misguided effort to raise funds for the company at a date auction, but the whole thing went sideways and ended with her being fired in short order.
This quickly ended in Edith finding her way back to the streets, this time turning to Somnus after Justice disappeared from her life. Broke and destitute, she was swept off the street once more by a well-meaning alchemist, who mixed her potions of dragons' blood to hasten her recovery. This had unintended effects, however, as she was of Ishgardian stock, and she was quickly cast out again as a 'mistake,' the alchemist not wishing to be held responsible.

Personality
Edith is an energetic and fiery young woman. She frequently loses her belongings, and is rather naive about the world due to her sequestered upbringing. She is not very intelligent, but makes up for it in heart and effort. She often lets her passion or feelings get the better of her, before thinking things through rationally.

Family
Edith was born out of wedlock. Her father and siblings are unknown to her.
* Marguerite Wicke: Edith's mother. The two were separated at her eighteenth nameday, and have not seen each other since. Marguerite died soon after the Seventh Umbral Calamity.

Friends
* Justice Burke: (Whereabouts Unknown)Edith and Justice met at a Little Ladies' day party. He insisted upon calling her "Princess," out of a desire to show her her own worth. According to the traditions of Little Ladies' Day, Justice pledged himself to her as her Seneschal. Edith insisted upon calling him "Ser Burke." The two were a couple for a long while, after which Justice went off to war and was never heard from again. Edith was devastated.
* Michael Callaway: (Previous) Ser Callaway took Edith in off of the streets, perhaps out of pity, and hired her on as a company retainer for his trading charter, Callaway Holdings. He intended to teach her to read and write, and how to fight with a rifle. After the date auction, the two never spoke again.
Antagonists
Basically the entirety of House Dzemael. She was the favorite plaything of one of Lord Tedalgrinche's sons, and House Dzemael is offering a reward of gil to anyone who would locate and deliver their wayward servant back unto them. She is known as a wanted person in the Holy See of Ishgard.

Other Notes
I adhere very strictly to lore, but I do not mind other characters that bend lore slightly.
I am up for nearly all kinds of RP, but I do not enjoy plotless sex. Characters that attempt to bed her randomly can expect a loaded gun in their face for the trouble. Edith is exactly as she appears in game.

Edith is a young and energetic tomboy with a past of servitude. She is new to Eorzea, and many basic concepts are foreign to her, due to her deprived upbringing. She dreams of one day becoming an "Asstrolloggeyan."

Personality
Edith is an energetic, forgetful, and ditzy woman. She frequently loses her belongings, and is rather naive about the world due to her sequestered upbringing. She is not very intelligent, but makes up for it in heart and effort.

Family
Edith was born out of wedlock. Her father and siblings are unknown to her.
* Marguerite Wicke: Edith's mother. The two were separated at her eighteenth nameday, and have not seen each other since. Marguerite died soon after the Seventh Umbral Calamity.

Friends
* Justice Burke: Edith and Justice met at a Little Ladies' day party. He insists upon calling her "Princess," out of a desire to show her her own worth. According to the traditions of Little Ladies' Day, Justice pledged himself to her as her Seneschal. Edith insists upon calling him "Ser Burke."

Plot hooks
* You've seen the posters hung all about Ishgard, with a drawing of her face, and a description. House Dzemael really does want her back.
* Guns. She loves the rifle she was given as a gift by Ser Callaway, even if the two are no longer friends.
* You're an Ishgardian too. Her lowborn accent is somewhat noticeable.
* You want to help her learn her letters and numbers.

Basic Info
Chorani is an abnormally short and shy mongrel. Her parentage is both Garlean and Xaelic.
History
Childhood and the Meteor Project
Chorani was born in Garlemald to a Imperial scientist and his purchased Xaela wife. At the age of eleven, she was sent off to a military academy in the Imperial Capital, as part of a new youth brigade. There, she was given training in conjury and barbery. Being that she is of a mixed parentage, she is quite capable of using Aether. At the age of 16, she was deployed in the Imperial Army, and assigned to the 10th Cohort of the VIIth Legion, under the command of Nael van Darnus. As many of us know, van Darnus' goal was to bring the second "moon" Dalamud down upon the land of Eorzea and wreak untold destruction. The members of her Legion were not told that they were to be sacrificed for the good of Garlemald, something Chorani found out to her utter dismay that fateful day at the Cartenau Flats.
Speared through the leg by a novice lancer of the Flames, Chorani was left to die as Bahamut unleashed his wrath upon the land, and to this day the ugly burn scars on her back serve as a grim reminder that the Imperial Army saw her as mere fodder.

Another Refugee in the Crowd
In the aftermath of the Battle of Cartenau, she was found lying face down by a Flames Sergeant, her Imperial uniform conveniently charred beyond recognition. Realizing that the Imperial Army cared little for the value of her life, she decided to begin anew in Thanalan. The destruction her legion had wrought upon the land distressed young Chorani, who swore she would return to Garlemald when the time was right, to realize the vision of the Popularis. But until then, she would have to suffice with being one more hungry face in the crowds of refugees swarming Ul'dah.

Retainership
Three Twelvemoons after the Calamity, Chorani decided to apply with the Retainer Vocate after reading a poster, and was summarily put to work as another [player-character's] retainer. This went well for nearly six moons, Chorani never being happier. But alas, all good things must come to an end. The secret of her heritage came to light, and her adventurer boss summarily fired her, clearly stating that the next time he saw her he would not stay his blade. Now without a job, and almost at her 21st nameday, Chorani desperately sought work elsewhere.

The Nymian Marine Initiative
Chorani fled to Limsa Lominsa, where she was scouted by the Arcanists' guild for her talent with Aether. There, she learned all they could teach her about Arcanima, and as the valedictorian of her class she was chosen for the Guild's new joint partnership with the Marauders'. She was given a Soul of the Scholar, and trained in the previously-thought-lost restorative arts of Nym, alongside a class of other skilled mages. But when she graduated, she wished for something more, perhaps an actual job. This is when the Whispered Wish scouted her.

The Whispered Wish
She joined on initially as a simple barmaid, but soon the pressure for her to undertake different tasks increased. Soon she was no better than the common courtesan, dependent upon the Wish for income and safety, even. This was her life for the next four moons, and she performed her tasks dutifully. Then one day as she was bringing a delivery back to Ul'dah from Idyllshire, disaster struck. One she brought completely on herself, too. A former Miqo'te friend spied her conversing with a Garlean soldier on the outskirts of Castrum Meridanium, and jumped to rather justifiable conclusions. This Miqo'te monk brutally attacked her, right then and there. Chorani had to call back to her employer for assistance when it was over, and there was no way for her to continue to hide her secret from the Wish.
Now, Chorani roams the streets once more in search of a safe haven.

Personality
Chorani is known to act demure and shy, although the jury is still out on whether this is but an act to ensure her safety. She stutters often, is rather naive, and is very easily embarrassed. Her Imperial heritage and past show somewhat in her manner of speech and her skill with a quill, as she was very well educated. She is often known to converse with her fae, Rue.

Affiliations
Family
*Remus fae Sylvius: Chorani's father. He always treated her fairly. The two were seperated when she turned eleven.
*Cirinus aan Sylvius: Born Cirina Khatayin, this is Chorani's mother. She was brought from Othard and sold to Chorani's father as a bride.
*Linus bas Sylvius: Chorani's baby brother. The two have never met, although Chorani is aware of his existence through the little contact she is able to have with her father.

Friends
A Garlean with friends? Surely you jest.

Companions
*Rue: A male scholar's fae and Chorani's constant companion during times of battle and study both. Chorani has not been able to summon forth the Anima from her Anima weapon, but when she summons forth Rue with it... He seems enhanced.

Enemies
*Wyra'to Couerlkin: A Fist of Rhalgr with a fiery temper and even more passionate hatred for Garleans. Wyra'to was previously friends with Chorani, and even romantically interested in her until that fateful day near Castrum Meridanium. He brutally attacked and had his way with Chorani, in a show of utter contempt for who she was and what she stood for. For some reason, though, he didn't think to kill her, but he came close.

OOC Notes
Chorani is a proud Garlean citizen, but she knows better than to announce this to anyone. She does her best to hide her heritage from anyone she doesn't trust with her life.
I adhere fairly strictly to lore, and prefer to RP with others that do the same. Minor lore bending is okay.

Limits
I'm full aware of the consequences of playing a Garlean character. Nearly anything except for death is okay as I've spent a while working on Chorani.

Edith is a young and energetic tomboy with a past of servitude. She is new to Eorzea, and many basic concepts are foreign to her, due to her deprived upbringing.
History
Born into servitude, for 18 long twelvemoons, the halls of Dzemael Manor were all she ever knew. There, she was mistreated as most female servants tend to be... until one day, she had enough. With little but the clothes on her back, she made her escape. Now, she wanders the land of Eorzea in search of aid and employment, as she really hadn't put much thought into what to do after she was free. At first, she threw her lot in with the trading charter Callaway Holdings, where Ser Callaway instructed her upon her letters, and marksmanship, but that was not meant to last. She made a misguided effort to raise funds for the company at a date auction, but the whole thing went sideways and ended with her being fired in short order. Now, she wanders the streets of Ul'dah once again...
According to the traditions of Little Ladies' Day, Justice pledged himself to her as her Seneschal. Edith insists upon calling him "Ser Burke."
Basic Info

Personality
Edith is an energetic, forgetful, and ditzy woman. She frequently loses her belongings, and is rather naive about the world due to her sequestered upbringing.
Family
Edith was born out of wedlock. Her father and siblings are unknown to her.

She was the favorite plaything of Lord Tedalgrinche's son, and House Dzemael is offering a reward of gil to anyone who would locate and deliver their wayward servant back unto them.

Plot Hooks
* You have a job to offer her.
* You need a retainer.
* Just walk up I don't bite.

OOC Notes
Chorani is a proud Garlean citizen, but she knows better than to announce this to anyone. She does her best to hide her heritage from anyone she doesn't trust with her life. Due to the villainous/sociopathic nature of my character, I ask that my RP partners have a strong sense of IC/OOC seperation. I adhere fairly strictly to lore, and prefer to RP with others that do the same. Minor lore bending is okay.

Limits
I'm full aware of the consequences of playing a Garlean character. Nearly anything except for death is okay as I've spent a while working on Chorani.

The destruction her legion had wrought upon the land distressed young Chorani, who swore she would return to Garlemald when the time was right, to help make it a nation of peace.

[It is.] She is highly manipulative, bordering on sociopathic. Her worldview is blunt, and she frequently looks down upon the races of Eorzea with her words.

Personality
Edith is an energetic, forgetful, and ditzy woman. She frequently loses her belongings, and is rather naive about the world due to her sequestered upbringing.
Basic Info
Edith is a young and energetic tomboy with a past of servitude. She is new to Eorzea, and many basic concepts are foreign to her, due to her deprived upbringing.
History
Born into servitude, for 18 long twelvemoons, the halls of Dzemael Manor were all she ever knew. There, she was mistreated as most female servants tend to be... until one day, she had enough. With little but the clothes on her back, she made her escape. Now, she wanders the land of Eorzea in search of aid and employment, as she really hadn't put much thought into what to do after she was free. Nowadays, she's thrown her lot in with the trading charter Callaway Holdings, where Ser Callaway instructs her upon her letters, and marksmanship.

Personality
Edith is an energetic, forgetful, and ditzy woman. She frequently loses her belongings, and is rather naive about the world due to her sequestered upbringing.

Affiliations
Family
Edith was born out of wedlock. Her father and siblings are unknown to her.
* Marguerite Wicke: Edith's mother. The two were separated at birth, and have not seen each other since. Marguerite is still alive, and serving House Durendaire.

* Michael Callaway: Ser Callaway took Edith in off of the streets, perhaps out of pity, and hired her on as a company retainer for his trading charter, Callaway Holdings. He intends to teach her to read and write, and how to fight with a gunblade.

Antagonists
Basically the entirety of House Dzemael. She was the favorite plaything of Lord Tedalgrinche's son, and House Dzemael is offering a reward of gil to anyone who would locate and deliver their wayward servant back unto them.

Other Notes
I adhere very strictly to lore, but I do not mind other characters that bend lore slightly.
I am up for nearly all kinds of RP, but I do not enjoy plotless sex. Characters that attempt to bed her randomly can expect a gunblade in their face for the trouble. Edith is exactly as she appears in game.

Plot hooks
* You've seen the posters hung all about Ishgard, with a drawing of her face, and a description. House Dzemael really does want her back.
* Guns. She loves the gunblade she was given as a gift by Ser Callaway.

The destruction her legion had wrought upon the land distressed young Chorani, who swore she would return to Garlemald when the time was right, to help make it a nation of peace.

The destruction her legion had wrought upon the land distressed young Chorani, who swore she would return to Garlemald when the time was right, to help make it a nation of peace.

*Lirius bas Sylvius: Chorani's baby brother. The two have never met, although Chorani is aware of his existence through the little contact she is able to have with her father.

Friends
A Garlean with friends? Surely you jest.

Plot Hooks
* You have a job to offer her.
* You need a retainer.
* Just walk up I don't bite.

Antagonists
