Alasarnil Harrison stood at five fulms and seven ilms. With a lean form, she fit in perfectly with the typical crowd of rogues. She had fair skin, black hair, and red eyes. Often times, her lips defaulted into a small smile as she looked upon the world with awe. Her fingers were never stagnant, they often twitched and curled at her side. Her usual movements were loose, animated, and frequent. When she spoke, she carried a youthful tone and accompanied her words with various hand motions and expressions.

A sociable loner, Alasarnil can often be seen wandering alone; though sometimes it only lasts for a few days, other times it lasts for weeks. Despite this, she eventually stops in a city, town, or small encampment. Once inside any sort of civilization, she spends her time making friends and learning about the people in the area before eventually moving on once again. As a result, she has been given plenty of wisdom and advice from various cultures, and does her best to incorporate all of them.

==History==
Born into a large family, Alasarnil was the second youngest of eight children. As a result she often found herself neglected, though not out of malice, it was simply a natural and unintentional problem of such a large family. After eight years, she decided she lacked a place within the family and ran off to join the circus. In the circus, she spent seven years as a juggler, acrobat, and knife thrower. For reasons not advertised to the public, she left and went to Limsa Lominsa.

Within Limsa Lominsa, she began undocumented work under an ambiguous organization of shady people. After a few years, she left and did her best to avoid the business altogether. Still lacking a place in the world, she began to wander Eorzea, taking the occasional odd-job to supply herself with food and drink to keep up her wandering. During this time, she re-established contact with the family she ran away from with mixed feelings.

Currently, she works with the Tomial Order for lack of better things to do. She can often be found still wandering Eorzea and rambling to random passerbys who never asked for a conversation in the first place.

At an unimposing five fulms, Kaiya was a typical, lean, pale-skinned, white-haired Miqo'te. Her eyes were blue, with round pupils characteristic of Keepers of the Moon and almost everyone else. Thin, tribal streaks were drawn across the side of her face. Her usual attire was well kept, and she was rarely seen without a pair of round glasses on her face and a grimoire at her side.

She keeps a particular formality around her, oftentimes struggling to remember using informal nicknames in place of a simple Mister or Miss. Her standing posture was straight, chin held high, arms often held in front of her or behind her with her hands lightly clasped. She frequently adjusted her glasses, though it has become more habit than necessity. Her tail remained almost completely still by default, but her ears still moved frequently to pick up the sounds around her.
==History==
At a young age, Kaiya's parents uncharacteristically took her to the Arcanist's Guild and left her within their care. Given her age and experience with the world, she was unaware of how abnormal her presence was as a Keeper of the Moon. During the near two decades she spent there, her parents visited once a cycle, occasionally missing a cycle if something important came up. During her time at the Arcanist's Guild, she excelled at her studies, though at the cost of any meaningful friendships. Living with members of the Guild taught her more than the usual geometries and tactics. She found herself surrounded by the most dedicated Arcanists; many of them cold, calculating, and ambitious. Although her teacher was wise and humble it was the ambitious, tactical arcanists she would look up to and take after. Eventually, everyone and everything was merely a stepping stone to greater power and prestige within the guild. Every friend she made was simply a tool, and every kind act a farce. Indeed, as time went on her knowledge and power only grew. When the lost arts of the Nymian Scholars resurfaced, she began to learn them as soon as possible, ensuring she would excel in them beyond all those around her if possible.

With this thirst for knowledge, she gained a need to expand her horizons; she moved to Ul'Dah to apply her skills for a Company known as the Hungry Wolves. Many a person she met in Ul'dah and the Wolves, friends and acquaintances alike. Most of them she met and never saw again. Others she finds once in a blue moon. Some had achieved a rarity, in that she would consider them an actual friend. When she moved initially, she hoped a new perspective would allow her to grow in her art as an arcanist, instead it served to teach her that there could be more to life than knowledge and prestige. Eventually, she left the Hungry Wolves, which had rebranded itself as Desert Fangs, to join a trading company in Gridania to continue learning more about the world. The Heartwood Trading Company, which is now known as Heartwood Ventures, solidified the importance of understanding and caring for others. Her kindness, which had long been nothing but a farce, was finally be genuine.

She currently spends most of her time in either her library or the clinic at Heartwood, her ambitions having faded for the most part.

==Personality==
She was trained from childhood to be an Arcanist. A cool, calulating tactician and strategist was ingrained into her first and foremost, with care and social skills coming second. For years, being anything less than the best was a setback to be corrected. To be put into a position of perceived uselessness was an incredible insult. In spite of this, a combination of time and the right friends allowed her to grow into a genuinely caring woman that can hold a conversation. She still holds to many of her ideals as an Arcanist and a Scholar, but she has since learned that caring does not have to be a tactical weakness. At present, she tries to learn how to better herself both as a Scholar and as a person, as there are still some holdovers from her old behaviors.

==Affiliations==
[[Limsa_Lominsa|Limsa Lominsa]] - Her home, and the home of the Arcanist's Guild. For better or worse, she carries an unquestioning loyalty to her city-state.

Desert Fang - Her former Free Company, she aided them in whatever way she can. Before a shift of leadership, she served as an adviser to one of the primary leaders of the Company. After the shift, she was largely unneeded as an adviser and went back to her normal work of paperwork and running a seldom used clinic.

Heartwood Ventures - Her current Free Company, she aids them with paperwork, a combat medic, and a doctor. She views the Company with tentatively high regard, though her confidence in the membership as a whole is shaky at best. Still, she finds herself grateful to have active work.

Living with members of the Guild taught her more than the usual geometries and tactics. She found herself surrounded by the most dedicated Arcanists; many of them cold, calculating, and ambitious. Although her teacher was wise and humble it was the ambitious, tactical arcanists she would look up to and take after. Eventually, everyone and everything was merely a stepping stone to greater power and prestige within the guild. Every friend she made was simply a tool, and every kind act a farce. Indeed, as time went on her knowledge and power only grew. When the lost arts of the Nymian Scholars resurfaced, she began to learn them as soon as possible, ensuring she would excel in them beyond all those around her if possible.

With this thirst for knowledge, she gained a need to expand her horizons; she moved to Ul'Dah to apply her skills for a Company known as the Hungry Wolves. Many a person she met in Ul'dah and the Wolves, friends and acquaintances alike. Most of them she met and never saw again. Others she finds once in a blue moon. Some had achieved a rarity, in that she would consider them an actual friend. During her time at the Arcanist's Guild, she excelled at her studies, though at the cost of any meaninful friendships. When the lost arts of the Nymian Scholars resurfaced, she began to learn them as soon as possible, ensuring she would excel in them beyond all those around her if possible. With this thirst for knowledge, she gained a need to expand her horizons; she moved to Ul'Dah to apply her skills for a Company known as the Hungry Wolves.

Many a person she met in Ul'dah and the Wolves, friends and acquaintances alike. Most of them she met and never saw again. Others she finds once in a blue moon. Still others who were once close have drifted for various reasons. It still left a positive impression on her overall, realizing the importance of companionship. Eventually, a steady decline of friends coupled with a feeling of stagnation caused her to move on. She left the Hungry Wolves, which had re-branded itself into Desert Fang, and moved to Gridania. She joined the Heartwood Trading Company, as ties to the Company encouraged her to make the attempt to reapply her abilities to a different set of work.

She was trained from childhood to be an Arcanist. A cool, calulating tactician and strategist was ingrained into her first and foremost, with care and social skills coming second. For years, being anything less than the best was a setback to be corrected. To be put into a position of perceived usefulness was an incredible insult. In spite of this, a combination of time and the right friends allowed her to grow into a genuinely caring woman that can hold a conversation. She still holds to many of her ideals as an Arcanist and a Scholar, but she has since learned that caring does not have to be a tactical weakness. At present, she tries to learn how to better herself both as a Scholar and as a person, as there are still some holdovers from her old behaviors.
