Jodeci is actually probably better out of combat than in. She is very hesitant to cause harm unless someone else draws first blood. However if someone injures someone she cares about, or calls her a whore, she will have no problems casting her fire. She is fairly adept at casting fire.

: Jodi remembers nothing in the following section that is in italics.

''Jodi was born in Ala Mhigo to a well established family. However when she was about 4 years old her home was taken over by the Empire, and she and her father were part of the few refugees that managed to escape. Her older sister had left previously to join the resistance, and they had no way of telling her they had escaped and made their way to Ul'dah. While life was unsettled, and frightening for the young (and obnoxiously small) highlander for a while, her father managed to provide for the two of them fairly well. Until the Calamity. Jodi had always been interested in thaumaturgy, and remembering his older daughter their father encouraged her to explore with it. That would have been fine if not for the Calamity. The explosion separated her from her family, and from everything familiar to her, and more than likely killed her father, and the aetheric shifts in the atmosphere interferred with the aether she'd been trying to master, reacting in a way that caused her to lose her memories of time before the Calamity.''

Jodeci doesn't know much about her past, except that she woke one morning in Ul'dah when she was about 13 years old. She doesn't know where she came from, why Ul'dah, or who she was before this moment, however she has faint memories that she dreams about frequently of a redheaded woman, smiling and laughing. She fully believes this woman has to be her mother, and doesn't understand why someone who would take the time to sing to her would leave her alone.

Jodi's childhood, and teenage years mainly circle around trying to survive. Stealing, odd jobs, avoiding "caring gentlemen" who want to "teach her skills", and trying to stay safe were her basics. After a couple of years of acclimating, she developed a routine, and with being able to actually keep herself fed and somewhat take care of, she was able to explore a bit more. When she came upon the Thaumaturges training in Ul'dah, she became fascinated with the magic. The fire that they could control absolutely amazed her. For two years she skulked around the guild, opening and also trying to avoid being noticed. Of course she was noticed almost immediately, but was allowed to observe.

Around 17 years old, Jodi realized that she desperately wanted more out of life than simply trying to make it in the streets. Seeing the wealth in the city made her realize that it couldn't be as hard as it seemed. Her years of observing mages at the Thaumaturge guild made her realize that perhaps it wasn't a gifting, but through enough study, she could also make flames dance. She approached the guild leader, and he sent her outside of the gates. Despite years of being in Ul'dah, she'd never quite been interested in leaving those city gates. Sure things may have been bad in the gates, but certainly they were worse outside.

Determination forced her to follow his requests though. She wanted more out of life, and whenever she faltered she saw another mage, and another fireball and it steeled her reserve.

It wasn't as difficult as she thought it would be to cast a fireball. Ice, however wasn't that easy, and she went back to the guild with her head in her hands, feeling as though she had failed. It was then that she was taught that while she does have an affinity, it takes more natural skill, she will also have to study.

She spent the past year working for the thaumaturges guild, cleaning, cooking, whatever she had to do to be able to keep a stable roof over her head so that she could dedicate the time she was using to survive to study black magic. She was tentative about testing her skills again, however she was encouraged repeatedly by the other mages, and finally she left the gates of Ul'dah again. This time however, she succeeded in her trial, and with that boost of confidence she decided it was time to branch out, and began her learning in a more hands on method. A chance meeting in the Guild led her to Aethertide Ventures where she has since laid her head. She has found a home.

''Jodi was born in Ala Mhigo to a well established family. However when she was about 4 years old her home was taken over by the Empire, and she and her father were part of the few refugees that managed to escape. Her older sister had left previously to join the resistance, and they had no way of telling her they had escaped and made their way to Ul'dah. While life was unsettled, and frightening for the young (and obnoxiously small) highlander for a while, her father managed to provide for the two of them fairly well. Until the Calamity. Jodi had always been interested in thaumaturgy, and remembering his older daughter their father encouraged her to explore with it. That would have been fine if not for the Calamity. The explosion separated her from her family, and from everything familiar to her, and more than likely killed her father, and the aetheric shifts in the atmosphere interferred with the aether she'd been trying to master, reacting in a way that caused her to lose her memories of time before the Calamity.''

Jodeci doesn't know much about her past, except that she woke one morning in Ul'dah when she was about 13 years old. She doesn't know where she came from, why Ul'dah, or who she was before this moment, however she has faint memories that she dreams about frequently of a redheaded woman, smiling and laughing. She fully believes this woman has to be her mother, and doesn't understand why someone who would take the time to sing to her would leave her alone.

Jodi's childhood, and teenage years mainly circle around trying to survive. Stealing, odd jobs, avoiding "caring gentlemen" who want to "teach her skills", and trying to stay safe were her basics. After a couple of years of acclimating, she developed a routine, and with being able to actually keep herself fed and somewhat take care of, she was able to explore a bit more. When she came upon the Thaumaturges training in Ul'dah, she became fascinated with the magic. The fire that they could control absolutely amazed her. For two years she skulked around the guild, opening and also trying to avoid being noticed. Of course she was noticed almost immediately, but was allowed to observe.

Around 17 years old, Jodi realized that she desperately wanted more out of life than simply trying to make it in the streets. Seeing the wealth in the city made her realize that it couldn't be as hard as it seemed. Her years of observing mages at the Thaumaturge guild made her realize that perhaps it wasn't a gifting, but through enough study, she could also make flames dance. She approached the guild leader, and he sent her outside of the gates. Despite years of being in Ul'dah, she'd never quite been interested in leaving those city gates. Sure things may have been bad in the gates, but certainly they were worse outside.

Determination forced her to follow his requests though. She wanted more out of life, and whenever she faltered she saw another mage, and another fireball and it steeled her reserve.

It wasn't as difficult as she thought it would be to cast a fireball. Ice, however wasn't that easy, and she went back to the guild with her head in her hands, feeling as though she had failed. It was then that she was taught that while she does have an affinity, it takes more natural skill, she will also have to study.

She spent the past year working for the thaumaturges guild, cleaning, cooking, whatever she had to do to be able to keep a stable roof over her head so that she could dedicate the time she was using to survive to study black magic. She was tentative about testing her skills again, however she was encouraged repeatedly by the other mages, and finally she left the gates of Ul'dah again. This time however, she succeeded in her trial, and with that boost of confidence she decided it was time to branch out, and began her learning in a more hands on method. A chance meeting in the Guild led her to Aethertide Ventures where she has since laid her head. She has found a home.

''Jodi was born in Ala Mhigo to a well established family. However when she was about 4 years old her home was taken over by the Empire, and she and her father were part of the few refugees that managed to escape. Her older sister had left previously to join the resistance, and they had no way of telling her they had escaped and made their way to Ul'dah. While life was unsettled, and frightening for the young (and obnoxiously small) highlander for a while, her father managed to provide for the two of them fairly well. Until the Calamity. Jodi had always been interested in thaumaturgy, and remembering his older daughter their father encouraged her to explore with it. That would have been fine if not for the Calamity. The explosion separated her from her family, and from everything familiar to her, and more than likely killed her father, and the aetheric shifts in the atmosphere interferred with the aether she'd been trying to master, reacting in a way that caused her to lose her memories of time before the Calamity.''

Jodeci doesn't know much about her past, except that she woke one morning in Ul'dah when she was about 13 years old. She doesn't know where she came from, why Ul'dah, or who she was before this moment, however she has faint memories that she dreams about frequently of a redheaded woman, smiling and laughing. She fully believes this woman has to be her mother, and doesn't understand why someone who would take the time to sing to her would leave her alone.

Jodi's childhood, and teenage years mainly circle around trying to survive. Stealing, odd jobs, avoiding "caring gentlemen" who want to "teach her skills", and trying to stay safe were her basics. After a couple of years of acclimating, she developed a routine, and with being able to actually keep herself fed and somewhat take care of, she was able to explore a bit more. When she came upon the Thaumaturges training in Ul'dah, she became fascinated with the magic. The fire that they could control absolutely amazed her. For two years she skulked around the guild, opening and also trying to avoid being noticed. Of course she was noticed almost immediately, but was allowed to observe.

Around 17 years old, Jodi realized that she desperately wanted more out of life than simply trying to make it in the streets. Seeing the wealth in the city made her realize that it couldn't be as hard as it seemed. Her years of observing mages at the Thaumaturge guild made her realize that perhaps it wasn't a gifting, but through enough study, she could also make flames dance. She approached the guild leader, and he sent her outside of the gates. Despite years of being in Ul'dah, she'd never quite been interested in leaving those city gates. Sure things may have been bad in the gates, but certainly they were worse outside.

Determination forced her to follow his requests though. She wanted more out of life, and whenever she faltered she saw another mage, and another fireball and it steeled her reserve.

It wasn't as difficult as she thought it would be to cast a fireball. Ice, however wasn't that easy, and she went back to the guild with her head in her hands, feeling as though she had failed. It was then that she was taught that while she does have an affinity, it takes more natural skill, she will also have to study.

She spent the past year working for the thaumaturges guild, cleaning, cooking, whatever she had to do to be able to keep a stable roof over her head so that she could dedicate the time she was using to survive to study black magic. She was tentative about testing her skills again, however she was encouraged repeatedly by the other mages, and finally she left the gates of Ul'dah again. This time however, she succeeded in her trial, and with that boost of confidence she decided it was time to branch out, and began her learning in a more hands on method. A chance meeting in the Guild led her to Aethertide Ventures where she has since laid her head. She has found a home.

While life was unsettled, and frightening for the young (and obnoxiously small) highlander for a while, her father managed to provide for the two of them fairly well. Until the Calamity. Jodi had always been interested in thaumaturgy, and remembering his older daughter their father encouraged her to explore with it. That would have been fine if not for the Calamity. The explosion separated her from her family, and from everything familiar to her, and more than likely killed her father, and the aetheric shifts in the atmosphere interferred with the aether she'd been trying to master, reacting in a way that caused her to lose her memories of time before the Calamity.''

Jodeci doesn't know much about her past, except that she woke one morning in Ul'dah when she was about 13 years old. She doesn't know where she came from, why Ul'dah, or who she was before this moment, however she has faint memories that she dreams about frequently of a redheaded woman, smiling and laughing. She fully believes this woman has to be her mother, and doesn't understand why someone who would take the time to sing to her would leave her alone.

Jodi's childhood, and teenage years mainly circle around trying to survive. Stealing, odd jobs, avoiding "caring gentlemen" who want to "teach her skills", and trying to stay safe were her basics. After a couple of years of acclimating, she developed a routine, and with being able to actually keep herself fed and somewhat take care of, she was able to explore a bit more. When she came upon the Thaumaturges training in Ul'dah, she became fascinated with the magic. The fire that they could control absolutely amazed her. For two years she skulked around the guild, opening and also trying to avoid being noticed. Of course she was noticed almost immediately, but was allowed to observe.

Around 17 years old, Jodi realized that she desperately wanted more out of life than simply trying to make it in the streets. Seeing the wealth in the city made her realize that it couldn't be as hard as it seemed. Her years of observing mages at the Thaumaturge guild made her realize that perhaps it wasn't a gifting, but through enough study, she could also make flames dance. She approached the guild leader, and he sent her outside of the gates. Despite years of being in Ul'dah, she'd never quite been interested in leaving those city gates. Sure things may have been bad in the gates, but certainly they were worse outside.

Determination forced her to follow his requests though. She wanted more out of life, and whenever she faltered she saw another mage, and another fireball and it steeled her reserve.

It wasn't as difficult as she thought it would be to cast a fireball. Ice, however wasn't that easy, and she went back to the guild with her head in her hands, feeling as though she had failed. It was then that she was taught that while she does have an affinity, it takes more natural skill, she will also have to study.

She spent the past year working for the thaumaturges guild, cleaning, cooking, whatever she had to do to be able to keep a stable roof over her head so that she could dedicate the time she was using to survive to study black magic. She was tentative about testing her skills again, however she was encouraged repeatedly by the other mages, and finally she left the gates of Ul'dah again. This time however, she succeeded in her trial, and with that boost of confidence she decided it was time to branch out, and began her learning in a more hands on method. A chance meeting in the Guild led her to Aethertide Ventures where she has since laid her head. She has found a home.

: Jodi remembers nothing in the following section that is in italics.

''Jodi was born in Ala Mhigo to a well established family. However when she was about 4 years old her home was taken over by the Empire, and she and her father were part of the few refugees that managed to escape. Her older sister had left previously to join the resistance, and they had no way of telling her they had escaped and made their way to Ul'dah. While life was unsettled, and frightening for the young (and obnoxiously small) highlander for a while, her father managed to provide for the two of them fairly well. Until the Calamity. Jodi had always been interested in thaumaturgy, and remembering his older daughter their father encouraged her to explore with it. That would have been fine if not for the Calamity. The explosion separated her from her family, and from everything familiar to her, and more than likely killed her father, and the aetheric shifts in the atmosphere interferred with the aether she'd been trying to master, reacting in a way that caused her to lose her memories of time before the Calamity.''

Jodeci doesn't know much about her past, except that she woke one morning in Ul'dah when she was about 13 years old. She doesn't know where she came from, why Ul'dah, or who she was before this moment, however she has faint memories that she dreams about frequently of a redheaded woman, smiling and laughing. She fully believes this woman has to be her mother, and doesn't understand why someone who would take the time to sing to her would leave her alone.

Jodi's childhood, and teenage years mainly circle around trying to survive. Stealing, odd jobs, avoiding "caring gentlemen" who want to "teach her skills", and trying to stay safe were her basics. After a couple of years of acclimating, she developed a routine, and with being able to actually keep herself fed and somewhat take care of, she was able to explore a bit more. When she came upon the Thaumaturges training in Ul'dah, she became fascinated with the magic. The fire that they could control absolutely amazed her. For two years she skulked around the guild, opening and also trying to avoid being noticed. Of course she was noticed almost immediately, but was allowed to observe.

Around 17 years old, Jodi realized that she desperately wanted more out of life than simply trying to make it in the streets. Seeing the wealth in the city made her realize that it couldn't be as hard as it seemed. Her years of observing mages at the Thaumaturge guild made her realize that perhaps it wasn't a gifting, but through enough study, she could also make flames dance. She approached the guild leader, and he sent her outside of the gates. Despite years of being in Ul'dah, she'd never quite been interested in leaving those city gates. Sure things may have been bad in the gates, but certainly they were worse outside.

Determination forced her to follow his requests though. She wanted more out of life, and whenever she faltered she saw another mage, and another fireball and it steeled her reserve.

It wasn't as difficult as she thought it would be to cast a fireball. Ice, however wasn't that easy, and she went back to the guild with her head in her hands, feeling as though she had failed. It was then that she was taught that while she does have an affinity, it takes more natural skill, she will also have to study.

She spent the past year working for the thaumaturges guild, cleaning, cooking, whatever she had to do to be able to keep a stable roof over her head so that she could dedicate the time she was using to survive to study black magic. She was tentative about testing her skills again, however she was encouraged repeatedly by the other mages, and finally she left the gates of Ul'dah again. This time however, she succeeded in her trial, and with that boost of confidence she decided it was time to branch out, and began her learning in a more hands on method. A chance meeting in the Guild led her to Aethertide Ventures where she has since laid her head. She has found a home.
