Basic Info
J'zaht, or "Jazz" as he is wont to call himself when competing in the right circuits, is a Chocobo jockey with a storied career at the Golden Saucer and a significantly more hush-hush enterprise strictly for those who are in the know. Given the right connections, or a late enough night with a high enough number of drinks in the right person, one might find themselves introduced to an after-hours, strictly-off-the-books, racing circuit with much higher stakes. Entrants are expected to come armed, and not necessarily expected to leave alive. J'zaht, being a man of poor impulse control, a propensity towards thrill seeking, and a not-so-deeply-buried death wish, has made a name for himself in this masked-participant and strictly-anonymous thrill sport world, and some are said to be taking bets on whether he'll meet his end on the tracks or in his chambers, drowned in drink or smothered by a bitter lover.

History
J'zaht Mason was adopted when he was barely out of his infancy, having been found on the brink of a painful death after his abandonment to the mercies of the desert. His newfound father, a Midlander merchant, was the founder and leader of a successful trading enterprise and sought to capitalize on the image of a wholesome, kindhearted man of family and community. The adoption of J'zaht as a young boy lead to many portraits on many fliers, and to many the bubbly, delighted face of this Miqo'te lad symbolized value, low prices, and a name you could trust in business and with the welfare of your family--the finest goods at the lowest prices, guaranteed!

Of course, behind closed doors, J'zaht was mostly left to his own devices, along with his father's natural-born children, terribly malicious twins who always sought to make sure that J'zaht never forgot that he was no more than a flea-bitten kitten. Given the circumstances, one can hardly blame him for not having learned skills like "compassion" or "propriety," but at this age J'zaht is kept on a long leash by his father. A mutual understanding between them allows him a large allowance and relative free reign, but there are clear boundaries drawn on how he is permitted to represent the family name, and he knows all too well that seeking to buck the rules too avidly will end up with his purse strings cut and his throat slit--after all, a tragic murder is so, so much less of a stain on the family name than a poor reputation.

Personality
J'zaht is mean. He's bitter, cruel, entitled, aggressive, hostile, and loud. If one is the type of individual in which he sees himself, and the type of individual he respects enough not to take this observation as an insult, he may open up to them about his thoughts, his troubles, his feelings, and his concerns, but he expects those talks to stay where they were--only in the moment, quickly forgotten. He is likely to be hostile towards approach unless he finds someone attractive, and his attention isn't necessarily something to be sought or coveted. He is, in short, a broken man, a glass cannon, and always hunting for the next disaster which might bring him some form of peace, either brief catharsis or a permanent end. Underneath all of this probably lurks the heart of a boy who just wants to be heard, but really, would you want to try?

Affiliations
Despite his surly and unpredictable temperament, J'zaht has struck up a strong bond with Yvon Desvallieres, the landlord who presides over J'zaht's favorite boarding house in Lominsan territory. Yvon expresses a patience for and understanding of J'zaht that he finds rather intoxicating, and has thus earned an incomparable degree of devotion.

Other Notes
This dude isn't really everybody's cup of tea but he is emphatically a total mess, perpetually in a downward spiral, a thrill killing asshole, and very, very rude to staff at bars and hotels--or really anywhere. I would prefer to only be approached by people who like characters like this, I dedicate myself to acting IC and there are pretty decent odds he'd be straight up mean to you, so for people who aren't into that I figure it's worth a heads up. I do try to play him as being on his best behavior when at other people's events, usually with the IC premise of fearing some sort of rumor reaching his father, but by all means do let me know if you as an RPer or event coordinator are cool with him going off the rails, because I would love that, and I'm completely amenable to being kicked out of any establishment while RPing as Jazz. It's part of the fun!

Basic Info
Despite having handsome, even regal features, Arismont cares for himself poorly and it shows. On the average day he is best described as "greasy" and his eyes are often glassy, blazing, hyperfocused, unfocused, or any number of other indicators that he is pretty far removed from sober. He has an overly eager, needy smile, and makes eye contact for far too long. He will probably offer you some substance he made from some awful vilekin organ he found somewhere, and it will probably be good.

Arismont moonlights as a bard, but predominately pursues illicit use of alchemy both for financial and personal reasons. He might also be found doing most any job that seems worth his time for the money, and what he considers worthwhile depends very much on his current level of pride--often, this is rather low.

History
He's from Garlemald, but he really doesn't want to talk about that, and with most people it would certainly never come up. Theoretically, though, what if a man who'd lived the military life just, you know, ran away. Like, he was supposed to be scouting, or something like that, right? But then, y'know, everyone he was with when scouting died, somehow--it's not important how--and then he thought to himself: why go back, ever? Theoretically, anyway. It's not like that would be easy, really, so that would be pretty ridiculous. But, you know, a guy from that life would be bound to have a few problems after all of that, so it would explain some of his behavior. Theoretically.

Personality
He wants to be liked. Actually, he would love to be liked. He is, however, rather keenly aware of how many people would consider him unlikable, and how perfectly reasonable many of their reasons are. It's not that he's a malicious guy, per se, but he's not exactly reliable. Or consistently clean. His history has a tendency to make new friends a bit queasy, when he does open up about it, and then they tend to then cease to be his friends. To be fair, also, his behavior frequently leaves a lot to be desired, but he really would love to make it happen someday. Eventually. Somehow.

Affiliations
Having newly been hired on as a custodian at The Fury's Rest his life tends to revolve around the people and activities of the tavern at which he works. He is often hounded terribly by Cassius Cato, in exchanges that might seem appalling to the casual onlooker, but in his own way he feels more at home with a boot in his side than he does when met with a friendly smile, and he is more likely to cling to those who hurt him than those who treat him gently--a behavior he feels unworthy of, to say the least, and one he tends to react to with a sudden and permanent absence.

Other Notes
Arismont is more likely to get along with "lowlifey" character types and my personal interest in RP tends to trend towards M/RP territory, often dealing with violence and drug use. However, how he behaves is very dependent on his level of sobriety and what he is or is not on. Essentially, he makes research chems from random alchemy parts and his behavior is unpredictable, and sobriety is not a state he can handle for very long--and, when sober, he is most likely going to express himself in ways that are terribly morose. I'm happy to RP him along this behavior spectrum, because it's fun, but I would really prefer that people avoid RP with Arismont if they're too particularly keen on convincing him to be a stable, law-abiding citizen. He is likely to sprint off if he suspects law is around. Anybody who wants to RP some (potentially) well-meaning but catastrophically ill-fated bar hopping, rabble-rousing, and maybe loud public crying, though, this is the place to be.

Basic Info
Ququjoni Kukujoni comes from a long line of cultured businessmen. His family has long been a fixture in Ul'dahn business, both above and below the table. He cut his teeth on bribing guards, many of whom are far more loyal to him individually than they are to any cause or station they could possibly support, and has since built a name for himself as a rather untouchable individual. Anything one might accuse him of that could possibly be considered scandalous or even objectionable must certainly be false, and he is more than willing to see the unmaking of any accusations against him through to the very end. Whether or not that works in the favor of those who bring their concerns to him remains, ultimately, in their hands. He does hope that they're clean, for their sake.

History
His childhood is rather obscured for him having been a man born into such a notable line. It's clear that he studied abroad, a fact evident in the rather Lominsan touch to his magic, and it's clear that his education was impeccable, as evidenced by his manner and speech, but beyond that he is rather tight-lipped.

Personality
Ququjoni could not be described as cruel, nor could he be described as warm. He is known to throw a magnificent soiree, although he is also known to spend the evening apart from the guests, preferring merely to watch the events unfold. He keeps note of individuals who command his attention, for good or for ill, and he responds accordingly. His actions are decisive, his behavior both deliberate and deliberately obscure. He is known to take on other aristocratic men as his protegees, and the majority of them have had nothing but praise for his skills as a mentor. The remainder are difficult to convince to part with their opinions.

Affiliations
Ququjoni is known to season in Limsa Lominsa and is rather fond of The Fury's Rest tavern, run by one Yvon Desvallieres.

Basic Info
Ensetsu Hakuuchi is a man who likes to throw his considerable weight around. He delights in cruelty, but abhors cowardice. Despite his passion for violence, he loathes individuals who pick on those weaker than themselves, but less for any moral or ethical conviction and more as a reaction to what he perceives as pettiness or weakness. He harbors a deep contempt for those who think themselves strong and yet seek to prey exclusively on the weak. He is immensely fond of terrorizing those who fancy themselves above the feeling of terror, and when he is on the trail of a promising mark he is relentless in stalking them and merciless in his attentions.

History
It is clear to any who enter his confidence enough to witness him in his vulnerable moments that he has been through some deeply damaging formative experiences, but it is nearly impossible to extract from him any manner of information which might illuminate the source of his inner demons.

Personality
Ensetsu is a cruel and sadistic man possessed of a dark yet vital humor. He is fond of somnus, fond of fogweed, fond of tobacco, fond of liquor, and fond of little else. He has a difficult and complex relationship with men of soft and gentle natures, seeming both drawn to them and repulsed by even the sight of them. He is vocal about his love for his job and the freedom it affords him in the pursuit of one of his favorite hobbies, the disproportionate punishment of those who flaunt their contempt for his sense of propriety and his authority to exert this upon all who he surveys.

Affiliations
Ensetsu works for Yvon Desvallieres at The Fury's Rest tavern, a job he harbors enough enthusiasm for to ensure that he remains thoroughly loyal to his employer--which, incidentally, does prevent him from expressing the full extent of his hatred for the owner's cousin Cassius Cato.

He has been sighted in the company of Ayin'a Quist, an individual with whom he seems to have a rather intense relationship of some sort.

Other Notes
Ensetsu is a notably horrible person. I'd just like to make an additional note of that because matters of taste prevent me from going into too much detail here.

It's clear he studied abroad, a fact evident in the rather Lominsan touch to his magic, and it's clear that his education was impeccable, as evidenced by his manner and speech, but beyond that he is rather tight-lipped.

Basic Info
Ensetsu Hakuuchi is a man who likes to throw his considerable weight around. He delights in cruelty, but abhors cowardice. Despite his passion for violence, he loathes individuals who pick on those weaker than them, but less for any moral or ethical conviction and more as a reaction to what he perceives as pettiness or weakness.

Anything one might accuse him of that could possibly be considered scandalous or even objectionable must certainly be false, and he is more than willing to see the unmaking of any accusations against him through to the very end, whether or not that works in the favor of those who bring their concerns to him remains, ultimately, in their hands. He does hope that they're clean, for their sake.
History
His childhood is rather obscured for him having been a man born into such a notable line. It's clear he studied abroad, a rather Lominsan touch to his magic, and it's clear that his education was impeccable, as evidenced by his manner and speech, but beyond that he is rather tight-lipped.

His actions are decisive, his sentiments obscure, his behavior deliberate and deliberately obscure. He is known to take on other aristocratic men as his protegees, and the majority of them have had nothing but praise for his skills as a mentor. The remainder are difficult to convince to part with their opinions.

Affiliations

The adoption of J'zaht as a young boy lead to many portraits on many fliers, and to many the bubbly, delighted face of this Miqo'te cub symbolized value, low prices, and a name you could trust in business and with the welfare of your family--the finest goods at the lowest prices, guaranteed!

The adoption of J'zaht as a young boy lead to many portraits on many fliers, and to many the bubbly, delighted face of this Miqo'te cub symbolized value, low prices, and a name you could trust in business and with the welfare of your family--the finest goods at the lowest prices, guaranteed!

A mutual understanding between them allows him a large allowance and relative free reign, but there are clear boundaries drawn on how he is permitted to represent the family name, and he knows all too well that seeking to buck the rules too avidly will end up with his purse strings and his throat slit--after all, a tragic murder is so, so much less of a stain on the family name than a poor reputation.

He is, in short, a broken man, a glass canon, and always hunting for the next disaster which might bring him some form of peace, either brief catharsis or a permanent end. Underneath all of this probably lurks the heart of a boy who just wants to be heard, but really, would you want to try?

The adoption of J'zaht as a young boy lead to many portraits on many fliers, and to many the bubbly, delighted face of this Miqo'te kitten symbolized value, low prices, and a name you could trust in business and with the welfare of your family--the finest goods at the lowest prices, guaranteed!

Personality
J'zaht is mean. He's bitter, cruel, entitled, aggressive, hostile, and loud. If you're the type of individual in which he sees himself, and the type of individual he respects enough not to take this observation as an insult, he may open up to you about his thoughts, his troubles, his feelings, and his concerns, but he expects those talks to stay where they were--only in the moment, quickly forgotten. He is likely to be hostile towards approach unless he finds someone attractive, and his attention isn't necessarily something to be sought or coveted. He is, in short, a broken man, a glass canon, and always hunting for the next disaster which might bring him some form of peace, either brief catharsis or a permanent end. Underneath all of this probably lurks the heart of a boy who just wants to be heard, but really, do you want to try?

History
He's from Garlemald, but he really doesn't want to talk about that. Theoretically, though, what if a frumentarius just, you know, ran away. Like, he was supposed to be scouting, right? But then, y'know, everyone he was with when scouting died, or something, and then he thought to himself: why go back, ever? Theoretically, anyway. It's not like that would be easy, really, so that would be pretty ridiculous. But, you know, a guy from that life would be bound to have a few problems after all of that, so it would explain some of his behavior. Theoretically.

Personality
He wants to be liked. Actually, he would love to be liked. He is, however, rather keenly aware of how many people would consider him unlikable, and how perfectly reasonable many of their reasons are. It's not that he's a malicious guy, per se, but he's not exactly reliable. Or consistently clean. To be fair, also, his behavior frequently leaves a lot to be desired, but he really would love to make it happen someday. Eventually. Somehow.

Affiliations
Anybody willing to be his friend. Or, at least, anybody willing to be his friend on terms that won't prevent Arismont from sleeping at night. He's already on his last legs there and doesn't need things to get any worse. Or does he?

Other Notes
Arismont is more likely to get along with "lowlifey" character types and my personal interest in RP tends to trend towards M/RP territory, often dealing with violence and drug use. However, how he behaves is very dependant on his level of sobriety and what he is or is not on. Essentially, he makes research chems from random alchemy parts and his behavior is unpredictable, and sobriety is not a state he can handle for very long.

This is kind of a WIP character and is subject to change depending on how events unfold in RP. I tend to wing it a lot, although I'm an experienced RPer and pretty good on the rough drafts for how I want my characters to be I usually just prefer to see what happens as it happens and write as I go. I will say that he's more likely to get along with "lowlifey" character types, though, and my personal interest in RP tends to trend towards M/RP territory, often dealing with violence and drug use, and I do really love pathos.
