===Appearance===
Rather small for a Lalafell, Kanami has bright pink hair with blue highlights that go down to her lower back. Her eyes were bright pink at birth but on her 16th birthday after touching a mysterious book her left eye turned an eerie icy blue. On her 18th birthday her right eye changed to blue as well. She has pale skin and a lean body. Wearing her pastel pink yukata gives her a look of elegance despite her behavior. Bearing no scars or any mark on her body. She always carries her grimoire with her and never lets it go or lets anyone touch it.

===Personality===
Being brought up in seclusion from the world, Kanami is a rather curious and naive individual. She was raised to trust everyone and to never disrespect others and treat people well. She is a carefree soul and loves to learn new things about the world. Her childish behavior makes her seem much younger than she really is though she loves it. She is ignorant in many social activities and relationships and often asks embarrassing questions.

Despite her actions most of it is an act or she is simply used to it but such is not known by everyone.

==History==
Kanami lived in seclusion from the world with her small tribe somewhere in the La Noscean region. Her tribe was peaceful and devoid of any conflict. Her mother and father were of royal descendants and were the heads of the tribe. Never seeing the outside world nor the destruction and bloodshed that swirled all around they went about their days blissfully ignorant. Their way of comunicating with each other very differnt from the rest of the world. They would humm and sing, using the pitch and vibrations of each other's voices to understand one another. Emotions and what they need/want. On Kanami's 16th birthday she was to learn the origin of her tribe and what they were and why they lived the way they did, away from the world, but destruction eventually came.

Hearing rumors of a secluded tribe filled with ancient magics and possibly more riches than you could imagine, a band of Roegadyn's searched and found the location of Kanami's tribe, and soon destroyed everything burning her home to the ground and slaughtering all of her family and friends. Kanami witnessed everything and was unable to do anything as one of the Roegadyn's took her away along with four other girls. Even as she tried to close her eyes to erase everything, she could still hear the melodic sound of her screaming family slowly dieing.

Kanami and the other girls were bound and thrown into a waggon and were being taken somewhere. As the girls cried Kanami noticed a book at the far end of the waggon that seemed to call to her. She shuffled closer and with her hands bound behind her back, picked up the book. Her hands suddenly were unbound and she stared at the book entranced by it. She flipped through the pages, which were oddly all blank. She began to slowly trace her finger along one of the pages, creating multicolored symbols, her left eye slowly began glowing, taking on an icy blue color. Kanami soon blacked out as a huge explosion happened within the waggon destroying everything, and killing the Roegadyn's and the four girls with her.

Kanami woke up a few hours later in a deserted road, confused, hurt and had no idea where she was. Next to her floated a fire elemental resembling a beast that looked down at her knowingly. He growled softly at her and hummed softly her then lied down next to a tree. Kanami curiously followed, knowing not what he was but knew far well that whatever he was he had saved her life. She knelt down beside him and slowly reached her hand towards him and began to pet him, expecting the fire to burn her skin. The fire did not burn, instead felt cool and refreshing. Kanami's eyes began to well up in realization that everything she had ever known was gone and sobbed loudly. The beast just pulled her towards him as if hugging her and Kanami let him, crying loudly against him.

That was their fated meeting and the beginning of an unbreakable bond.

After three months, she escaped. She ran from the Shroud all the way to the city of Ul'dah until she passed out from exhaustion. There, Caen found her and nursed her back to health. She was plagued with constant migraines and nightmares of what happened to her and her family. She soon joined the academy of Ul'dah Garden after passing her interview with Ventus. Not long after that, Leanne found out, with the rest of the Garden, that Ventus was in a coma. K'ailia became new Headmaster and Leanne was made an Instructor.

Still healing from the deep wounds in her mind, body and soul, Leanne tries her best to over come her fears and help those around her. She began to train herself, becoming a monk. The reason for the sudden need for power unknown to most. She struggles internally with her rage filled dark personality, a battle known only to a few.

Torturing her mentally and physically, using her for their experiments, injecting strangely colored liquids in her, and took advantage of her and her body.

After three months, she escaped. She ran from the Shroud all the way to the city of Ul'dah until she passed out from exhaustion. There, Caen found her and nursed her back to health. She was plagued with constant migraines and nightmares of what happened to her and her family. She soon joined the academy of Ul'dah Garden after passing her interview with Ventus. Not long after that, Leanne found out, with the rest of the Garden, that Ventus was in a coma. K'ailia became new Headmaster and Leanne was made an Instructor.

Still healing from the deep wounds in her mind, body and soul, Leanne tries her best to over come her fears and help those around her. She began to train herself, becoming a monk. The reason for the sudden need for power unknown to most. She struggles internally with her rage filled dark personality, a battle known only to a few.
