== Basic Info ==

Nathaniel is a carefree miqo’te who prefers to tease and flatter people than chide or ridicule. He is easily amused with people, though his humor is lost on others from time to time. Nathaniel will often use his charms to get people to do as he pleases or to wiggle his way out of sticky situations, which can make it difficult to tell when he’s being sincere with his feelings.

Having no exceptional skills with weaponry, he aided his pack by gathering and harvesting from the fields, periodically thieving from the residents of Ul’dah. He overstepped on one occasion, getting caught in the act in the Gold Court. Facing the possibility of being sent to the Coliseum (where he’d surely not last long) to pay off anything else he might have stolen over time, Nathaniel fled Ul’dah and Thanalan, crossing the sea to arrive in Limsa Lominsa. Though leaving his family and pack upset him, he ultimately knew that it was for the best in order to keep them from suffering for his crimes. Upon arriving in Limsa Lominsa, he shed his birth name and adopted a Highlander name to make tracking him more difficult.

Periodically, Nathaniel will travel back to Ul’dah in hopes of catching glimpses of his pack and family, though he treads lightly when he’s there and is often uneasy about the trips.

Lorelei is extremely distrusting of people she doesn’t know and is very shy in general. She hates the idea of imposing on others, but is ultimately hoping for a group to call her family. She seeks acceptance above all else, but feels weak if she admits it. While working as a mercenary gives her a purpose, she sometimes feels it is slowly making her into a monster. 
Though now having ties to Ul’dah, Lorelei used to belong to a pack of Miqo’te in Ishgard. She does not speak of her time with them and gets hostile when Ishgard is brought up. Regardless, Coerthas is still her favorite place, though she stays away from the region whenever possible.
