Mara is a heavily scarred woman with white eyes and a scar over her right eye. She also has many others across her entire body and a muscled tone to indicate that she is indeed a very strong woman from many years of being an armoursmith in the past. Born in [[La Noscea]] to the far North, Mara would live with her parents for five years, living a decent life with others in a colony and about to start school like a normal girl would. Picking up her La Noscean accent and never really losing it. She lived along side a somewhat caring brother as well as they played games together, to which may be the cause of her blunt personality later in life as she picked up most of her brothers' wit and observations of life early on.

The Colony she lived in at the age of five was savagely attacked by a band of renegade Pirates, to which began to enslave the entire population. Mara herself was forced to work on the Smithy to avoid having the fate of the less fortunate others whom had been beaten, starved and even violated for speaking up or not doing their jobs on time. This would cause Mara to first encounter the feeling of rage, however she could do nothing for it due to her age.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
Having done what she did for two cycles, Mara's parents would eventually pass away due to the amount of punishment and neglect that the ruthless Pirates had punished them towards. This would cause Mara to nearly break and also contemplate committing suicide to end the whole fiasco.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
Fortunately for her, however, a Pirate who had broken off from the rest and started a Caravan of trading, named Jack Manny, had ideas of stealing the young Mara away to raise her properly, sneaking her away in the night as well as her brother to which Mara would have no clue of later in life.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
Jack Manny took it on himself to raise the young Mara as one of his own as a recompense for having seen what the Pirates were capable of, growing the love and trust of Mara as she would see him eventually as her second father that would teach her the proper ways of Smithing and later, the ways of forging a set of armour as she became his apprentice in the craft.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
After several cycles travelling and making friends, Mara would eventually start dating and eventually falling in love with a man named Lucien Southmoore. The two would become very close and eventually marry, however this too had problems for Mara. Due to the fact that her brother emerged after several cycles as if a sudden surprise to Mara. She would trust him, however as she saw him as the only blood she had left in her life. The three would get along generally well and the maturity of her brother - Jake - had caused Mara to be the happiest she had been in a long time. She had a real family, for once in her life and no dangers to worry about. Or so they thought.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
When Mara was fourteen cycles old, the Caravan stopped in the North Shroud, headed to Coerthas. To which is where Mara ventured alone to a cave to see a Guardian she had heard stories of. The Guardian, of course, being Halone, The Fury. To which Mara grew up learning about and eventually appreciated as someone who kept her safe. However, when she made her way back, she was assaulted by a group of males and left on the side, completely nude and violated. The cause of which, ended up her being pregnant with a girl who eight moons was born, Miranda. She would later learn that her brother was one of the group and this caused a switch to trigger in her mind, to which ended up having her brother killed out of her eye whilst they were travelling.

The group traveled again for a few cycles, ending up all over Eorzea to sell goods and Mara took up a full on course on Armoursmithing, to which she of course had no time to care for her daughter due to how much her mind was focused on other things, due to how much the past had reminded her that she wanted to pretend it didn't exist.

Mara's Caravan would finally come to a stop, however. At the age of 35, the [[Amal'jaa]] attacked her caravan outside of [[Ul'dah]] and Mara had to run away whilst she saw her Caravan fighting off the Amal'jaa. By the time she had returned, everyone had gone and no bodies were found. This makes Mara assume that her caravan friends and her husband were all still alive somewhere, her attitude calming as she rushed back, seeking a place to stay but having no luck. She eventually took a part time job of lifting boxes and heavy grafting as she was eventually approached during a break in the Quicksand by her first friend, [[Emelia Iscantel]].

She would eventually be introduced to a place she was recognized initially for her work, a Free Company ran by [[Nailah Quill]] (AKA Satra Mortier at the time), who assigned her initially as an Armoursmith.

After being introduced, Mara would become friends with a lot of people and eventually deciding to join the Mercenary Squad of the Free Company, to which at the time was ran by an Elezen, named [[Reinette Aurifont]], to which informed her of her mistake and made her join the Defense Squad instead, finding her a little more valuable there. She was assigned under a good friend that she would earn, named [[Vi'jara Windaar]] who would welcome her with open arms. The two would get on fairly well, however others in her study, such as [[Bexy Amalaryssia]] and her would not get on very well, even to the point of them finding flaws within each other and even almost starting fights within the Defense Squad.

Eventually, however, the two would find an impasse and learn to tolerate each other and even later still, they became very close friends who always had each others' backs, no matter what happened.

Mara would briefly date an Elezen named [[Quinthel Moranquin]] whom was a kind man with many similarities to Mara in the fact they were very tied to their crafting, however he opened up a side of Mara that she didn't want to come out eventually, unintentionally. Realizing for herself that she was bisexual as she started falling in love with others.

This changed quickly however as she started going to see the carers of her daughter, to whom had also survived the Amal'jaan attack and made Mara realize she could not stay in the Kindred and left abruptly to spend a lot of time with her.

Mara would spend eight moons with her daughter (approximately) before returning back to Eorzean lifestyle as the two finally became more like mother and daughter. Eventually discovering that the Kindred had began to deteriorate and some of the friends she knew there had began their own Free Company. She decided to pay them a surprise visit, and found that life had changed dramatically for everyone she knew. Bexy was now married to a man named [[Maximilen Amalaryssia]], whom was a Duskwight Elezen (to no surprise to Mara). The two would reprise their friendship and soon found themselves back in battle again as they went to rescue [[Reiko Takahashi]] whom was captured and turned in to an [[Au Ra]].

Mara continued her ways, more relaxed until they eventually decided to venture up to [[Ishgard]] for the first time together. On the way, however, her daughter was found murdered and frostbitten by the snows to which made Mara decide on a new lifestyle of protecting the only person she had left in her life as close to family, [[Bexy Amalaryssia]]. Considering her now a sister, the two would travel on.

Mara has since lost a lot of memory due to a Mindflayer attack, to which she still swears there is something she is forgetting.

Memories fade from Mara's mind, the temptation of want to see her daughter back again has lead her down a very dark path, all that has occurred over the few moons of Mara's disappearance. Namely that she had found out one of her siblings had reappeared from nowhere. Thoughts of a note still emanate in her mind and the crystal that she carried promising her the power to bring back her daughter. Mara would not have much left, Bexy being the only one she personally knows and would die to protect, but even that has its limits.

Mara would spend her time around the Free Company a while, until she went missing for a while. During which time she spent searching for her lost father-in-law, she had headed in to Southern Thanalan. With no indication of where they were, she decided to retrace the steps of the caravan on her own, to which lead her back to her daughter's grave and the beginning of many regrets inside her mind. Mara would then meet with a woman that looked a lot like herself, claiming she was her sister and that drove her to sheer insanity, knowing that her family were all dead by this point. Mara then went on an uncontrolled rampage, thus killing several people and draining the blood of those under the stone of Halone.

She was then recovered and brought back home by the Free Company, to which Mara was then drained of aether and her 'sister' nowhere to be found after the events that tainted Mara's mind. However, this was only the beginning of the worst for Mara as she had taken her stone back in hand in order to protect Bexy.

<p style="text-align: justify;">
This would inevitably cause many problems as it would cause Mara to be unstable and over-protective, even causing her to consider what her thoughts were to the point of destroying her mind. This would make it easier for Mara to become what she was before and even do anything to get back the one thing in her life that she regretted losing.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
Taking advantage of this, a voice was heard inside her mind offering her a temptation of being able to resurrect her daughter from the dead and give her back whatever she wanted with no cost other than her mind to be shared with the crystal. Being the woman she was, Mara would take this offer as it would lead her to the North Shroud to find a crystal shard that would empower her to get her daughter back. However, the voice would then tell her that blood was also required of her most precious and closest friends.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
Mara would have nothing to lose any more and set off to the house, where she attacked a Free Company member, Rosik Ren. She cut her and vanished as quickly as she appeared, stealing her blood and heading to the Burning Wall, to which she was offered assistance and lost complete control of her functions by the voice in the crystal, emerging an old acquaintance and apprentice to the mysterious voice's past, Lenara.

<p style="text-align: justify;">
The two would devise a plan as soon as the ritual had begun to bring the daughter back to bring the Free Company to where they had been raising the daughter for a twisted matter. A few moons passed and finally the daughter was raised and the Free Company summoned. This had caused a fight between the Free Company and the three, which then killed the two other 'assistants' and left Mara alive, beaten and with a lack of aether, thus nearly killing her. Mara would be returned home where her eyes went white and blinded her. Forcing the woman to retire from fighting forever.

Picking up her La Noscean accent and never really losing it. The Colony she lived in at the age of five was savagely attacked by a band of renegade Pirates, to which began to enslave the entire population. Mara herself was forced to work on the Smithy to avoid having the fate of the less fortunate others whom had been beaten, starved and even violated for speaking up or not doing their jobs on time. This would cause Mara to first encounter the feeling of rage, however she could do nothing for it due to her age.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
Having done what she did for two cycles, Mara's parents would eventually pass away due to the amount of punishment and neglect that the ruthless Pirates had punished them towards. This would cause Mara to nearly break and also contemplate committing suicide to end the whole fiasco.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
Fortunately for her, however, a Pirate who had broken off from the rest and started a Caravan of trading, named Jack Manny, had ideas of stealing the young Mara away to raise her properly, sneaking her away in the night as well as her brother to which Mara would have no clue of later in life.

Jack Manny took it on himself to raise the young Mara as one of his own as a recompense for having seen what the Pirates were capable of, growing the love and trust of Mara as she would see him eventually as her second father that would teach her the proper ways of Smithing and later, the ways of forging a set of armour as she became his apprentice in the craft.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
After several cycles travelling and making friends, Mara would eventually start dating and eventually falling in love with a man named Lucien Southmoore. The two would become very close and eventually marry, however this too had problems for Mara. Due to the fact that her brother emerged after several cycles as if a sudden surprise to Mara. She would trust him, however as she saw him as the only blood she had left in her life. The three would get along generally well and the maturity of her brother - Jake - had caused Mara to be the happiest she had been in a long time. She had a real family, for once in her life and no dangers to worry about. Or so they thought.

<p style="text-align: justify;">
When Mara was fourteen cycles old, the Caravan stopped in the North Shroud, headed to Coerthas. To which is where Mara ventured alone to a cave to see a Guardian she had heard stories of. The Guardian, of course, being Halone, The Fury. To which Mara grew up learning about and eventually appreciated as someone who kept her safe. However, when she made her way back, she was assaulted by a group of males and left on the side, completely nude and violated. The cause of which, ended up her being pregnant with a girl who eight moons was born, Miranda. She would later learn that her brother was one of the group and this caused a switch to trigger in her mind, to which ended up having her brother killed out of her eye whilst they were travelling.

The group traveled again for a few cycles, ending up all over Eorzea to sell goods and Mara took up a full on course on Armoursmithing, to which she of course had no time to care for her daughter due to how much her mind was focused on other things, due to how much the past had reminded her that she wanted to pretend it didn't exist.

Mara's Caravan would finally come to a stop, however. At the age of 35, the [[Amal'jaa]] attacked her caravan outside of [[Ul'dah]] and Mara had to run away whilst she saw her Caravan fighting off the Amal'jaa. By the time she had returned, everyone had gone and no bodies were found. This makes Mara assume that her caravan friends and her husband were all still alive somewhere, her attitude calming as she rushed back, seeking a place to stay but having no luck. She eventually took a part time job of lifting boxes and heavy grafting as she was eventually approached during a break in the Quicksand by her first friend, [[Emelia Iscantel]].

She would eventually be introduced to a place she was recognized initially for her work, a Free Company ran by [[Nailah Quill]] (AKA Satra Mortier at the time), who assigned her initially as an Armoursmith.

After being introduced, Mara would become friends with a lot of people and eventually deciding to join the Mercenary Squad of the Free Company, to which at the time was ran by an Elezen, named [[Reinette Aurifont]], to which informed her of her mistake and made her join the Defense Squad instead, finding her a little more valuable there. She was assigned under a good friend that she would earn, named [[Vi'jara Windaar]] who would welcome her with open arms. The two would get on fairly well, however others in her study, such as [[Bexy Amalaryssia]] and her would not get on very well, even to the point of them finding flaws within each other and even almost starting fights within the Defense Squad.

Eventually, however, the two would find an impasse and learn to tolerate each other and even later still, they became very close friends who always had each others' backs, no matter what happened.

Mara would briefly date an Elezen named [[Quinthel Moranquin]] whom was a kind man with many similarities to Mara in the fact they were very tied to their crafting, however he opened up a side of Mara that she didn't want to come out eventually, unintentionally. Mara would spend eight moons with her daughter (approximately) before returning back to Eorzean lifestyle as the two finally became more like mother and daughter. Eventually discovering that the Kindred had began to deteriorate and some of the friends she knew there had began their own Free Company. She decided to pay them a surprise visit, and found that life had changed dramatically for everyone she knew. Bexy was now married to a man named [[Maximilen Amalaryssia]], whom was a Duskwight Elezen (to no surprise to Mara). The two would reprise their friendship and soon found themselves back in battle again as they went to rescue [[Reiko Takahashi]] whom was captured and turned in to an [[Au Ra]].

Mara continued her ways, more relaxed until they eventually decided to venture up to [[Ishgard]] for the first time together. On the way, however, her daughter was found murdered and frostbitten by the snows to which made Mara decide on a new lifestyle of protecting the only person she had left in her life as close to family, [[Bexy Amalaryssia]]. Considering her now a sister, the two would travel on.

Mara has since lost a lot of memory due to a Mindflayer attack, to which she still swears there is something she is forgetting.

Memories fade from Mara's mind, the temptation of want to see her daughter back again has lead her down a very dark path, all that has occurred over the few moons of Mara's disappearance. Namely that she had found out one of her siblings had reappeared from nowhere. Thoughts of a note still emanate in her mind and the crystal that she carried promising her the power to bring back her daughter. Mara would not have much left, Bexy being the only one she personally knows and would die to protect, but even that has its limits.

Mara would spend her time around the Free Company a while, until she went missing for a while. During which time she spent searching for her lost father-in-law, she had headed in to Southern Thanalan. With no indication of where they were, she decided to retrace the steps of the caravan on her own, to which lead her back to her daughter's grave and the beginning of many regrets inside her mind. Mara would then meet with a woman that looked a lot like herself, claiming she was her sister and that drove her to sheer insanity, knowing that her family were all dead by this point. Mara then went on an uncontrolled rampage, thus killing several people and draining the blood of those under the stone of Halone.

She was then recovered and brought back home by the Free Company, to which Mara was then drained of aether and her 'sister' nowhere to be found after the events that tainted Mara's mind. However, this was only the beginning of the worst for Mara as she had taken her stone back in hand in order to protect Bexy.

<p style="text-align: justify;">
This would inevitably cause many problems as it would cause Mara to be unstable and over-protective, even causing her to consider what her thoughts were to the point of destroying her mind. This would make it easier for Mara to become what she was before and even do anything to get back the one thing in her life that she regretted losing.

<p style="text-align: justify;">
Taking advantage of this, a voice was heard inside her mind offering her a temptation of being able to resurrect her daughter from the dead and give her back whatever she wanted with no cost other than her mind to be shared with the crystal. Being the woman she was, Mara would take this offer as it would lead her to the North Shroud to find a crystal shard that would empower her to get her daughter back. However, the voice would then tell her that blood was also required of her most precious and closest friends.
</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">
Mara would have nothing to lose any more and set off to the house, where she attacked a Free Company member, Rosik Ren. She cut her and vanished as quickly as she appeared, stealing her blood and heading to the Burning Wall, to which she was offered assistance and lost complete control of her functions by the voice in the crystal, emerging an old acquaintance and apprentice to the mysterious voice's past, Lenara.

The two would devise a plan as soon as the ritual had begun to bring the daughter back to bring the Free Company to where they had been raising the daughter for a twisted matter. A few moons passed and finally the daughter was raised and the Free Company summoned. This had caused a fight between the Free Company and the three, which then killed the two other 'assistants' and left Mara alive, beaten and with a lack of aether, thus nearly killing her. Mara would be returned home where her eyes went white and blinded her. Forcing the woman to retire from fighting forever.
