Terrence Ballingford is an inquisitor sworn to service of Azeyma. He travels Eorzea, aiding the city-states and people able to afford the tithes of the Church to investigate wrong-doings and strange occurances that happen throughout the lands. Terrence has a keen mind and strong body. He keeps people at arms length, to maintain impartiality in his work. He comes off as reserved and stern when conducting buisness.

Outside of work, he's a bit more affable. Impetuous and a bit of prankster to his colleagues, he strives to find his place in the world, hoping to build a name and life for himself.

===Appearance===

Terrence has a youthful face, a mop of blonde hair, and shockingly green eyes. He's muscular, and in-shape. He has a several small scars, the most noticeable is the one on his left cheek.

===Behavior===

Terrence does his best to keep his work & personal lives seperate. His work as an inquisitor demands that he be an impartial investigator, capable of making informed observations and decisions without letting emotions or other biases effect is decisions. In his capacity as an inquisitor, he's calm and collected, serious and determined.

However, outside of his job as an inquisitor, he's quite affable, and a bit of a prankster. He is devoted to his job, so he will place his committments to Azeyma above all else. He's slow to trust, but once you've earned your trust, Terrence is loyal as a dog.

:The second son of Rin Rakutan has always been a disappointment to his family.

:His birth was at first a joyous occasion. Another male born to this small clan.

:But Rin'to wasn't like his brother, Rin'a and his cousin, Any'a. He would play and cling to them, instead of chasing girls like his older brothers. Instead of wanting to hunt or learn the ways of the lands, he'd sneak into the Elder's cottage and read books.

:During his adolescence, he balked at what was expected of him. He had no desire to mate with any of the ladies of his clan. In fact, he felt oddly, like he'd rather mate with the other males of his clan.

:Then the red moon appeared. The pressure was on for Rin'to to contribute to the clan. Rin'to steadfastly held his ground until he was threatened with exile. Cursing them, he stated "Curse you, I hope the red moon takes you all!" Those were the last words spoken to his clan.

:He left the clan's small village and took a long hike away to gather his thoughts. And that is when Bahamut appeared from Dalamud and wrought the cataclysm. His village was destroyed. There was no survivors.

:After the destruction of his village, he made his way south to Ul'dah. There, he began his formal study of Thaumaturgy and opened up a small baked goods stand in the marketplace to fund his research.
