Ryuchi is a tall man with dark hair and a brooding expression. His long, black hair hangs down his back, partially covering his face and obscuring his deep crimson eyes. A thin red headband is usually seen around his forehead to prevent his hair from covering his eyes entirely. His pale skin is offset by the red cape and mantle that he wears over his black leathers. He has no visible weaponry, relying on a retractable lance that he keeps hidden beneath his cape. His face is usually impassive; he rarely shows his emotions to those he doesn't trust.<br />

===History===<br />
Born and raised a fisherman's boy in Limsa Lominsa, he picked up carpentry to aid in repairing his fathers fishing vessel. Since childhood, his history has been all but erased from his mind; whether it was from an external event or his own choosing. The only thing from his childhood that he has kept with him is his memory of his recently deceased dog, Akeo.<br />
