Born to a family of brewers, Sera was born in the Sagioli desert. Her upbringing was a near picturesque one, her parents were loving and there for her, but, one day sickness had taken them both. And in a loss, Sera had been taken in by her Uncle. A man, who was near infatuated with a particular stone. This man had taken the young Sera under his wing, but, in a sense had never told her just what he was after. Loving the man like her own father, she had followed his direction, taking up the blade as was so common about this time, and learned. But how this had affected her? She had been forced into the life of a mercenary. Being taken along on the jobs her uncle had done.

This had continued for some time until she was roughly twenty one, the time of battle was upon Eorzea, and she, being a learned fighter would join her Uncle to fight against Garleans. It was at this time that the final battles had occured that she had found herself bested, a blow to the head and then all was black.
Coughing and sputtering she awoke some weeks later, the battles a mere hazy memory to her. It seemed she was alone in the world for the first time in a long while. Left a house, and some small amount of gil she was perhaps thankful to be alive.
But to not let the depression grip her she chose to take each day in stride. She was alive. And the world was still beneath her feet.

She is heavily armored and can take quite the beating before she is willing to submit to a foe.
