|characteroverview= Ash is an introvert almost to the extreme, and a victim of unfortunate aetherochemical over-saturation. This has led to a mutation at the very helix level of DNA, causing consistent changes in her physical appearance, from a petite female Au Ra to a massive male Roegadyn. She prefers to stay away from most, if not all, of the hustle an bustle of city life, only coming out of the Free Company's Ward to occasionally enjoy a refresher by means of hearing others talk, and to garner any possible news that may come from it. Even if introverted, Ash tries her best to speak to those she is familiar with, and holds dear any she can actually call a friend. Feeling obligated to protect those friends, she have a general disregard for her own being, often preferring to withstand a blow for her fellow then allow them to be hit at all. Currently, Ash resides in 'Roar Deal Trading Co.', or in the general vicinity of the Free Company as either a Doorman, watching the comings and goings, or just being a lay-about, yawning her numb from the perpetual boredom she often faces from choosing to stay isolated away from the general populace of the world. Ash enjoys the general energetic crew of the Free Company, and despite acting as though it's a pain to help with varied tasks or adventures she will still come along with any of them if asked to do so.

Ash was not born, but was instead a failed experiment undertaken by a rogue scientist using ancient Allag science and facilities on Azys Lla. The intent had been to create a warrior based on varying traits from different races, tribes, creeds and agencies. A band of passer-by adventurers clashed with Garlean forces, fighting throughout the floating warships and into the main ship, causing various containment breaches, releasing all experiments, old and new. Ash took this chance to rush out of the cages, incubation pods, and out of the ship to safety. Once back to the mainlands, Ash began to notice changes with their body. Hardened body and scales, vastly increased physical strength, and most surprising of all, sudden and varying transformations. She found she was capable of dramatically shifting the appearance of her person, from body type, gender, height; all seemingly on a whim.
Now free of the mad scientist's experiments and now host to newfound strengths and strange abnormalities, she has been struggling to find meaning, a purpose in life beyond what she was created for. Despite exhausting many avenues, the search for any meaningful purpose eludes her. So far, leading a life of combat and helping people whenever possible is the only thing she feels is close to having any significant meaning, serving as motivation to continue. However, regardless of the positive outcomes from this combat, she feels increasingly that this way of life was not the purpose she was meant for. Now lost as to what to do, she leads a monotonous and bland life, just waiting for some sort of purpose to inspire her. She yearns for something fun, beyond the brief moments of joy she shares with her friends and FC members. Even venturing out of the housing ward she is so used to lazing in seems exciting. She dares to visit the cities she is so uncomfortable with; to glimpse what the populace are up to in the hustle and bustle of urban life.

Being the experimental offspring of unhampered scientific progress Ash's memories are not her own. In her long periods of isolated self thought when she is bored or idle for too long visions of shades of people or memories wash over her, seen through various eyes of the people that have been melded together into one. Fighting on the frontline in the Eorzean conflict, running free with a brother or possibley a lover in the open air of the Steppes. Sometimes the sights of the back alleys and forgotten corners of cities where they fight in illegal pits to the boisterous sounds of nobility, smirking, tossing coins to the barker for a better performance or the deafening silence of the Twelveswood in the witching hour as the sounds of otherwordly beings commit deeds of horror in the dark. Ash tries to pick apart what might be their original memories to find some sense of self in the constant genetic shifting that has yet to see some pause in the summers past since her freedom from Azys Lla.

Ash was not born, but was instead a failed experiment undertaken by a rogue scientist using ancient Allag science and facilities on Azys Lla. The intent had been to create a warrior based on varying traits from different races, tribes, creeds and agencies. A band of passer-by adventurers clashed with Garlean forces, fighting throughout the floating warships and into the main ship, causing various containment breaches, releasing all experiments, old and new. Ash took this chance to rush out of the cages, incubation pods, and out of the ship to safety. Once back to the mainlands, Ash began to notice changes with their body. Hardened body and scales, vastly increased physical strength, and most surprising of all, sudden and varying transformations. She found she was capable of dramatically shifting the appearance of her person, from body type, gender, height; all seemingly on a whim.
Now free of the mad scientist's experiments and now host to newfound strengths and strange abnormalities, she has been struggling to find meaning, a purpose in life beyond what she was created for. Despite exhausting many avenues, the search for any meaningful purpose eludes her. So far, leading a life of combat and helping people whenever possible is the only thing she feels is close to having any significant meaning, serving as motivation to continue. However, regardless of the positive outcomes from this combat, she feels increasingly that this way of life was not the purpose she was meant for. An now lost as to what to do she now leads a monotone and bland life just waiting for some sort of purpose to inspire her or something to bring fun for beyond just spurts of joy with the friends she has and the FC members she is with at the time. Even venturing out of the housing ward she is so used to lazing in to the cities she is uncomfortable with to have a look at what the populace are up to in the hustle and bustle of city life.

The band of mercenaries they often see seem to be more of the resonant ones seeing in them closely the same appearance some of their forms take when the corruptions deems it's time to shift form. A hulking Roegadyn with fiery red eyes an pitch black hair wielding a massive ax as he stands tall covered in plate armour with a stern look on his face with a militaristic attitude barking orders to the layabout soldiers he has joined keeping some order for the crew. Two Xaela of the Steppe far away from their lands with the wind of fortune an adventure leading their way aways aboard a trade ship headed from far east to west coming to Eorzea. These two seem to be rather friendly towards one another possible because the ties of the homeland in a far distant land where they have fallen in with this band to gather fortune an see the sights much to the annoyance of the Roegadyn leader. The male is athletic in build standing at what he claims is average height for his tribe with black hair, red/blue eyes and sharply pointed horns aiming forward tipped with silver. The female claiming to be petite for her tribe with an alluring body an emerald eyes with an average physique, black hair as well and horns pointing away from her face rounded with silver. These two pair well in tricks an fun with a red-headed male Miqo'te of the desert tribes often drinking, pranking and in a general joyous mood with lime green eyes used to pierce the night or a furry long tail to annoy the leader but come time to be serious he wields his sword an shield in a bulwark with said leader. A distance away from the group a male Elezen older in age and a young Keeper are seen atop trees or in elevation keeping sights in mind over the group but also not wanting too much of the rabble coming to them from the tricksters of the crew preferring solemn over watch. These six are hired by a older female Raen Au'ra with pale skin matching the Keeper in the crew and piercing gold eyes who seems to be a archaeologist for ancient Allag technology wanting to lead an expedition of sorts for the now found Azys Lla along with a fellow seeker of knowledge in the form of a female Seeker Miqo'te alchemist wanting to test the aethrochemical's that are bound to be stored in the flying mass of ships. After much discussion between the veteran soldiers of the mercenary band and the two intellectuals the coin was decided upon an paid with the preperations going underway to get these eight people to the ancient an dangerous halls of Azys Lla flotilla.
