Renne grew up in Gridania and, apart from her service in the Grand Company and short trips, has never left the Shroud. She showed promise as a conjurer at a young age and her parents encouraged her studies. When she became old enough she joined the Twin Serpents, steadily rising in the ranks. She served at the Battle of Cartenau, her skills saving many lives on the battlefield, and helped set up a field clinic after the Calamity, treating soldiers and civilians wounded by the catastrophe.

Renne's gentle heart ached for all the lives lost and hurt by the destruction, and after some thought and prayer decided to retire from the Twin Serpents. She now lives near Buscarron's tavern in the South Shroud; she runs a small herbalist shop, but for the most part makes her living off a small garden. She offers her conjury and herbal knowledge to those who need it and tends to the land's wounds as best she can.

Renne is of average height for an elezen. Her brown hair is thick and soft; when she's performing surgery or working she ties it up, but otherwise leaves it down. She wears a short dark blue robe, short black skirt, and low-heeled shoes, and carries a naturally-grown staff.

She is friendly, but in a reserved way, reluctant to make bonds with others. Very tenderhearted, she will offer aid to those in need without thought of payment and often refuses to accept payment when offered. She can be a slow study, but once set on learning something she will not give up until she has grasped it.

Commonly known as ‘Annie’ because it’s easier to pronounce and spell, Annouille is an arcanist at Mealvaan’s Gate as part of customs. Though he is talented at arcanima and would excel at research given the opportunity, he does the more boring but lucrative job to support himself and his sister after the Calamity. He is currently aiming to become a field assessor so that his job is less monotonous, and so he can spend more time away from his desk listening to that damned lalafellin merchant’s incessant inquiries about sun lemon tariffs. He spends his free time fishing, baking, or doing research for his own private projects.

=====Appearance=====
Annie is self-conscious about his tall height and awkwardly lanky ‘noodle limbs’, and also his uncommonly small ears for an elezen. Those who don’t know him very well tend to think he looks a bit sad and wistful, but that’s just his default facial expression when thinking about food or attractive people. He dresses and grooms himself very neatly when going to work, though he prefers to wear more casual and comfortable clothing when at home. He used to look more dishevelled but he became more attentive to his appearance after getting increased responsibilities at his job. He is always wearing glasses when awake since he is extremely nearsighted; if he misplaced them somehow, expect him to be nearly blind. There’s a large scar on his abdomen from being wounded at the Battle of Carteneau, and he has some small burn scars on his arms and hands from culinary accidents.

=====Personality=====
Annie is a little introverted, preferring to be alone or with a few close friends and family members. He tends to be quiet around people he does not know, but he is polite and friendly to almost everyone even if he feels awkward interacting with them. Though he can seem serious and straightlaced at first, he has a cheeky and mischievous side that usually manifests through ribald humour unfit for children or unrepentant sarcasm. He is a bit more reserved than he was before the Calamity, but hints of his younger self still show every once in a while with those close to him. However, he has become more blasé about his own health and safety. He is naturally lazy but forces himself to remain busy lest his thoughts wander down depressing paths. Ever since childhood he has been openly curious about things he does not understand (but now he is tall enough to stupidly poke most of them).

The only other survivor of the Calamity is his sister [[Gislala Gisla]]. She is an ambitious merchant like her parents who has more spine in her tiny body than Annie ever would, even though he has a good few fulm on her in height. For more information about Gis and her parents, check her profile!

=====Mother=====
Simone was an arcanist who worked as a tactician with the Maelstrom. She was once an astrologian at the First Dicasterial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena, but she fled to Gridania after becoming a heretic. Her life as an Ishgardian is mostly unknown to Annie as she was fairly reticent about it when he was young. She was a kind woman with a dry wit and brilliant mind for numbers, and also endlessly patient with her more rambunctious husband and occasionally difficult children. Despite seeming meek because she was soft-spoken, anyone well acquainted with her knew that she had an iron will and was fairly stubborn, especially when it came to her values. She was killed in action at the Battle of Carteneau.

=====Father=====
André was a fisherman by trade who was born in Gridania, though he enjoyed cooking as a hobby and dreamed of opening a restaurant one day when he eventually retired. He was almost always cheerful, a bit of a prankster, and was very enthusiastic about everything he did, frequently to the point of exhausting and exasperating those around him. Like many of his colleagues at Fisherman’s Bottom, he liked to exaggerate or make up things to make his stories more exciting; it was ostensibly to “help develop Annie’s critical thinking”, but he just liked messing with his son. He’s presumed dead because he was at sea during the Calamity, and wreckage of his ship was found but not his body.

=====Childhood and Youth=====
Annie was born in Gridania but his immediate family moved to Limsa Lominsa when he was a few summers old. When there, they befriended a family of lalafellin merchants from Ul'dah, bonding over their shared love of desserts; the two families grew so close that Annie found a (literally) little sister in Gis, and another set of parents in hers. As such, Annie and Gis spent a lot of time together growing up while their parents were busy with work. Annie learned his letters, math, arcanima, and other scholarly things from Simone; how to cook, fish, and tell terrible jokes from André; and how to make gil, speak politely, and persuade people to do things (through words, since looking adorable stopped being effective after puberty) from his adopted family. His families were busy but everyone often made time to be together.

=====Adulthood=====
When Annie grew older, he started studying more advanced arcanima at Mealvaan’s Gate that he couldn’t learn on his own. Responsibly, anyway – his mother wisely insisted that he study with supervision that she couldn’t always provide with her busy schedule. He was skilled enough that he occasionally helped the Maelstrom as a tactician like his mother when the Garlean Empire began invading Eorzea.

=====Garlean Invasion and the Calamity=====
When the Garlean threat grew more severe, Annie was among many drafted into the Eorzean Alliance’s military forces, officially joining the Maelstrom. It was at this time when he befriended [[Honoura Hawke]]’s brother Aidan, a member of the Twin Adders; their friendship provided a nice distraction from the stressful war. At the Battle of Carteneau, he was severely injured by a magitek vanguard and was ordered to temporarily withdraw. As such, he narrowly avoided death when Bahamut emerged from Dalamud and scorched the battlefield, being far enough from the fire to escape. Though he knows it’s irrational thinking, he still feels great guilt over the fact that he couldn’t prevent Simone’s or Aidan’s deaths, always wondering if he could have done something differently. The great number of other people who died instantly or from untreated wounds on the battlefield also added to his sense of failure.

=====End of Seventh Umbral Era to Present=====
Annie stayed with the Maelstrom for many moons after the Calamity to help with relief efforts and rebuilding, but mostly for the pay so he and Gis could support themselves. He eventually transferred to Mealvaan’s Gate, tired of the military lifestyle after the war and its painful memories. With his and Gis’ combined efforts, they managed to become financially stable enough to pursue their own interests and start a catering service which they hope to expand into a restaurant some day.

André told Annie that the reason Simone was accused of heresy was because “she knocked one of ‘em Inquisitors off Witchdrop with carbuncle fart”. Annie still has no idea whether his father was kidding or not.

Annie enjoys making desserts because he and Gis also enjoy eating them. It brings back happier memories of baking with his parents when he was young.

The reason why Annie began studying arcanima was because he too wanted an adorable sparkly death squirrel like Simone.

Annie is self-conscious about his poor eyesight and small ears if they’re under scrutiny.

To his bemusement, Annie is rather well-liked by random creatures, including but not limited to tamed chocobos, his and his friends’ pets, someone’s dancing rat, and a fat cat that started following him around when he went fishing.

One unfortunate fishing trip, Annie was almost eaten by a megalodon, but Gis saved him by beating it to death with his fishing rod while he was busy panicking. They keep its jaws at home as a conversation piece.

Annie has a unique and eclectic accent after growing up in Limsa and being raised by four parents of vastly different backgrounds; he trained himself to hide it most of the time, but his natural accent comes out more when he’s drunk or barely awake.

: Eir'a (pronounced AIR-ah) is a young miqo'te male who is still trying to discover himself and the world that he's steadily becoming more accustomed with. After years of being secretly raised in Ishgard, completely out of sight, only to be smuggled back out two years ago, he has much to learn about Eorzea, living on his own and just who he is/what he wants out of life.

:Due to his lack of social interaction, brought up on radical beliefs, the constant fear of being discovered and a strict upbringing, he's developed into a rather skittish, people pleasing individual with a lack of self worth. Despite the unhealthy levels of negativity directed at himself, he has a strong moral and belief code that he rarely ever wavers from, making it both a strong positive and--in certain situations or with certain individuals--negative attribute. His deepest wish is to one day run a café somewhere in Limsa Lominsa; the Bistro Fork Inn a precursor and test to see if he could handle such a thing. Eir'a believes this to be a vapid dream though so, while he focuses on it as a means of business (or so he tells himself) he is currently also practicing in the art of lancing so that he can be--what he considers--useful and, personally, attempting to prove himself to Halone and his father as well.

: Though he often tries to keep out of sight, Eir'a is noticeably short for a male of his race. He has a small frame that is usually hidden under puffy, warm clothing; generally those with turtle necks. While he is small in stature he is well toned in both his arms and legs, developed from the many gathering trips he takes to obtain ingredients used back at the inn. He has very pale skin--which easily gets burnt when exposed to the sun--with off-white hair that almost matches his skin tone; it is a slight shade darker. His hair is cut short with tufts of curled locks that messily seem to organize themselves in a fashionable-enough style, sporting two scruffy ears with black tips. Under a cushion of bangs one can notice his more startling feature, his violet eyes, that sit above his natural miqo'te markings and light hints of freckles that began to appear once leaving Coerthas. He has a straight nose that perks just a bit at the end. Like any Keeper of the Moon, Eir'a also has a sharp set of canines but it's rare to see them aside from when he talks. He does his best to keep them hidden from sight; perhaps a reason for his usual mumblings. The only trait left over from his original clan are the golden tattooed markings on both sides of his face, connecting downwards from the sloping pattern of his miqo'te markings. His tail is rather long with a very thick, fluffy texture to it. When highly upset Eir'a will hold it tightly to himself for comfort (though by the way he holds it too tightly or wrings it from worry to really be used for 'comfort').

: Anxious, self-deprecating and dedicated follower of Halone, Eir’a’s personality is a complete product of his upbringing. Due to the intense restraints he was put under while growing up, Eir’a has a hard time being social or at least interacting what could be considered 'normally', often apologizing far too much, speaking and addressing others too formally or acting more like a third rate citizen than an equal. Even if he fails completely at it, he does enjoy meeting others and learning about them, even if it means just listening on afar instead of being part of the conversation. While some of his own developed personality may shine through, most of his decisions are often--if not always--based on the ideals he believes others have towards him. This leads him to have an odd balance of self loathing but high standards for himself, such expectations set so high that he can't possibly reach them, resulting in a feeling of failure. He hates to admit it but deep down Eir'a finds himself coveting those with strong personalities, believing he might have none at all. While he finds himself a lowly being, finding Elezens and Hyurs the standards of high class (due to where he lived and coming to the conclusion on his own as a child), if ever faced with a dragon or those with dragon blood in them, his normal civil and polite behavior will be replaced with that of disgust and hostility. Miqo'tes are still a race fairly unfamiliar with him but he finds himself more comfortable in the presence of women of that race rather than men, taught at a young age that they were territorial and often rude, uncivilized people. While he's met many men of his own kin at this point and has learned they are not what he was taught (at least as a collective) there still lingers a slight fear and prejudice against his own race.

: <b>The Beginning</b>

:There is not much that Eir'a remembers of the clan he once was a part of, but he remembers vividly when they were all slain in the Coerthas Highlands. At the age of 3, during one of the cruel winters that hit the land--a precursor for what was to come in the future--his family was attacked by native beasts roaming the land. Hidden away by his mother in the uplifted roots of a dead tree, Eir'a was kept out of sight, keeping him safe while the others were slaughtered. It wasn't until well afterwards that he was discovered by an on-duty Ishgardian Temple Knight; Gervannant Holmen. At first, it seemed as if the elezen would alert the other knight he was on duty with about the child and send him off but, for reasons Eir'a has never discovered nor been told, the man hid and smuggled the boy into the holy city under his coat. While successful in their trickery, Gervannant's loyalty to his home was too strong to just leave it at that, requesting a private hearing with a few members of the Houses to discuss the matte, hoping to gain their support--along with a few resources-- to raise the child. After enough coxing, Eir'a was allowed to stay but it was decided he was to be raised completely out of sight from the rest of the city. No one was to know lest the two face repercussions.

: Growing up was not the most enjoyable experience for both parties. Gervannant, a man who had never considered nor actively looked into being a family man, was not the warmest or most sensitive person to raise a child. Not only that but the man, being a Temple Knight, was often needed to perform his duties meaning most of his time was not spent at home. Eir'a, an outsider growing up in a very dangerous situation, now had to deal with the burdens of high expectations and paranoia at a very young age, not helped by Gervannant's passing statements to keep Eir'a from the temptation of letting himself be seen (such as stating those of the Inquisition could storm in at any moment and shove them both off Witchdrop if they were found out). Even with the unintentional anxiety planted into his adoptive son and other good intentioned but misguided parental decisions, the two developed a bond between one another to the point where they could call themselves the loosest form of father and son. Of course, due to lack of communication, the relationship was still strained and is still met with unanswered questions.

:<b>Living behind closed windows, the Calamity, and the opening of the door</b>
:
: 13 years passed for the two. Eir'a was taught to be a worthy follower of Halone and, after showing skills in calligraphy, was encouraged to become a scribe so as to keep the long-ago promise of being a useful member of Ishgard. Being a Keeper of the Moon and naturally more comfortable with the night than those native to the land, the boy was assigned the job at age 11, working in the dark hours of the night illuminating various holy scripts commissioned to him by the very few who knew of his presence. It was a lonely job--in an already lonely life--but it granted him time to at least still interact with his father when the man returned from his shifts. This was his life; uneventful and generally boring, only shaken up by the sudden event of the Calamity and the chill that permanently swept his homeland. It wasn't until he had turned 17 when Eir'a was given the opportunity--nay, the order--from his father that he would be leaving Coerthas to seek his fortune. Of course he was heartbroken, taking such an announcement as his father's ways of wishing him out of his life. Nevertheless Eir'a was left to simply obey, leaving under heavy disguise when escorted to Gridania. For a boy who lived a practically isolated life it was difficult for him to cope with his new lifestyle but, with the guidance and help of strangers plus a blossomed eagerness to experience the newly introduced world, he managed to find one road that captured his interest: conjury. Survivor's guilt still lingering from his childhood, Eir'a wished to take on the class that would allow him to help protect and bring life to those around him, also hoping to become talented enough to prove himself an attribute to Halone.

:<b>The Ampadoor Keep Incident</b>
: Of course, with his high expectations towards himself and even higher expectations he assumed his father would have from him, while Eir'a did manage to grow an impressive amount in the art of conjury he considered his skills sub-par at best, feeling like a failure when his new skills were either not needed or only caused problems. The final straw was [ insert death bit blah balh] Unsure what to do then and driven only on the need to survive, Eir'a tried his hand at the culinary arts, hoping to simply learn basic meals to keep him alive [change in time line]. With this though came a realization for his love towards the craft, discovering his own natural talent in the field and the peace and satisfaction it brought him. A new door opened to him, Eir'a began to dream of opening his own café. He was even granted a chance at this dream when obtaining a run down shack, which he cleaned up, and named the Bistro Fork Inn.

:Now 19, it wasn't long after that Eir'a grew uncertain with his choices yet again, this time feeling his wishes to be selfish; a far stray from the original path he intended to travel. A 'failure' in white magic and a chef seeming like insults to The Fury and his father. He is now desperately trying to excel in the lancer class. Due to his shame though he often practices out of sight from his wards.

:With the recent events surrounding Ishgard, Eir'a has been more anxious and emotional. While he's never considered Ishgard an actual home he does hold emotional and loyal attachment to it, more importantly his father. Unsure whether the man is safe after the first Dravian's wave of attack and unable to go out and ask about his well being, the boy is feeling more helpless and useless than ever.

* His most prized possession is a rosary carved and given to him by his father. He always has it on hand and constantly checks for its whereabouts in fear of ever misplacing it. He'd rather die than lose it
* It was never determined just why his original family was in Coerthas to begin with or what it was that killed them (tracks suggesting aevises and snow wolves visited the death site) but the end verdict chose the dragons. Because of this--and just because of the location he was raised in--it made it easy for Eir'a to develop deep loathing towards the creatures
* The name 'Bistro Fork Inn' was created by Wyra'li Polaali, claiming the word 'bistro' would make his place seem more high class and adding 'inn' would make it more coxing to weary travelers passing by. Eir'a considered this good advice at first but now often wonders if the name seems ridiculous
* Eir'a is quite sure that his adoptive father does not love him BUT feels the man does/did care about his well being. While not confident that they share a true father-son bond, Eir'a does look up to his father and wishes to someday see the man again. After becoming someone more accomplished that he is now of course
* Even with his devotion towards Halone, he does not agree with how those under suspicion are often dealt with in Ishgard. Because of his interaction with various religious scripts, he's developed his own view that the Fury herself is more fit to bestow punishment on non-believers and blasphemers and will do so with her own means. He does not agree with the methods Inquisitioners use as it leaves too many opportunities for errors (of course, he would never openly admit this in fear his views might be seen as disagreeing with the general belief)
* He will generally add some form of title before saying someone's name. Men are given 'ser' while women are given 'madame'. You can request him to be less formal but it may take multiple reminders before he actually gets out of the habit
* Eir'a has horrible fashion sense. He may occasionally buy and/or wear something ridiculous and not realize it's just that
* He use to have a fear towards Chocobos, their size highly intimidating to him. But, after spending time with his own mount, Megane, he's come to enjoy the creatures
* He's strangely talented at the Moogle's Paw crane machine

The fact Gervannant allowed him to stay in his home for as long as he did is enough to make the boy content and he treasures the gifts and special moments each shared in the past, as few as they were. Eir'a still doesn't consider himself close with Wyra but is grateful that the man talks and sticks with him

The black mage often pushes just the right buttons to fluster Eir'a and yet the miqo'te is always pleased to run into the other. He's still unsure just what it means to be 'jinxed' but no longer feels scared at the prospect, understanding the lalafel more to know it's most likely just a joke. Maybe. Either way, Eir'a always tries to show his support for his friend.

Commonly known as ‘Annie’ because it’s easier to pronounce and spell, Annouille is an arcanist at Mealvann’s Gate as part of customs. Though he is talented at arcanima and would excel at research given the opportunity, he does the more boring but lucrative job to support himself and his sister after the Calamity. He is currently aiming to become a field assessor so that his job is less monotonous, and so he can spend more time away from his desk listening to that damned lalafellin merchant’s incessant inquiries about sun lemon tariffs. He spends his free time fishing, baking, or doing research for his own private projects.

As such, he narrowly avoided death when Bahamut emerged from Dalamud and scorched the battlefield, being far enough from the fire to escape. Though he knows it’s irrational thinking, he still feels great guilt over the fact that he couldn’t prevent Simone’s or Aidan’s deaths, always wondering if he could have done something differently. The great number of other people who died instantly or from untreated wounds on the battlefield also added to his sense of failure.

Annie is self-conscious about his tall height and awkwardly lanky ‘noodle limbs’, and also his uncommonly small ears for an elezen. Those who don’t know him very well tend to think he looks a bit sad and wistful, but that’s just his default facial expression when thinking about food or attractive people. He dresses and grooms himself very neatly when going to work, though he prefers to wear more casual and comfortable clothing when at home. He used to look more dishevelled but he became more attentive to his appearance after getting increased responsibilities at his job. He is always wearing glasses when awake since he is extremely nearsighted; if he misplaced them somehow, expect him to be nearly blind. There’s a large scar on his abdomen from being wounded at the Battle of Carteneau, and he has some small burn scars on his arms and hands from culinary accidents.

=====Personality=====
Annie is a little introverted, preferring to be alone or with a few close friends and family members. He tends to be quiet around people he does not know, but he is polite and friendly to almost everyone even if he feels awkward interacting with them. Though he can seem serious and straightlaced at first, he has a cheeky and mischievous side that usually manifests through ribald humour unfit for children or unrepentant sarcasm. He is a bit more reserved than he was before the Calamity, but hints of his younger self still show every once in a while with those close to him. However, he has become more blasé about his own health and safety. He is naturally lazy but forces himself to remain busy lest his thoughts wander down depressing paths. Ever since childhood he has been openly curious about things he does not understand (but now he is tall enough to stupidly poke most of them).

The only other survivor of the Calamity is his sister [[Gislala Gisla]]. She is an ambitious merchant like her parents who has more spine in her tiny body than Annie ever would, even though he has a good few fulm on her in height. For more information about Gis and her parents, check her profile!

=====Mother=====
Simone was an arcanist who worked as a tactician with the Maelstrom. She was once an astrologian at the First Dicasterial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena, but she fled to Gridania after becoming a heretic. Her life as an Ishgardian is mostly unknown to Annie as she was fairly reticent about it when he was young. She was a kind woman with a dry wit and brilliant mind for numbers, and also endlessly patient with her more rambunctious husband and occasionally difficult children. Despite seeming meek because she was soft-spoken, anyone well acquainted with her knew that she had an iron will and was fairly stubborn, especially when it came to her values. She was killed in action at the Battle of Carteneau.

=====Father=====
André was a fisherman by trade who was born in Gridania, though he enjoyed cooking as a hobby and dreamed of opening a restaurant one day when he eventually retired. He was almost always cheerful, a bit of a prankster, and was very enthusiastic about everything he did, frequently to the point of exhausting and exasperating those around him. Like many of his colleagues at Fisherman’s Bottom, he liked to exaggerate or make up things to make his stories more exciting; it was ostensibly to “help develop Annie’s critical thinking”, but he just liked messing with his son. He’s presumed dead because he was at sea during the Calamity, and wreckage of his ship was found but not his body.

=====Childhood and Youth=====
Annie was born in Gridania but his immediate family moved to Limsa Lominsa when he was a few summers old. When there, they befriended a family of lalafellin merchants from Ul'dah, bonding over their shared love of desserts; the two families grew so close that Annie found a (literally) little sister in Gis, and another set of parents in hers. As such, Annie and Gis spent a lot of time together growing up while their parents were busy with work. Annie learned his letters, math, arcanima, and other scholarly things from Simone; how to cook, fish, and tell terrible jokes from André; and how to make gil, speak politely, and persuade people to do things (through words, since looking adorable stopped being effective after puberty) from his adopted family. His families were busy but everyone often made time to be together.

=====Adulthood=====
When Annie grew older, he started studying more advanced arcanima at Mealvaan’s Gate that he couldn’t learn on his own. Responsibly, anyway – his mother wisely insisted that he study with supervision that she couldn’t always provide with her busy schedule. He was skilled enough that he occasionally helped the Maelstrom as a tactician like his mother when the Garlean Empire began invading Eorzea.

=====Garlean Invasion and the Calamity=====
When the Garlean threat grew more severe, Annie was among many drafted into the Eorzean Alliance’s military forces, officially joining the Maelstrom. It was at this time when he befriended [[Honoura Hawke]]’s brother Aidan, a member of the Twin Adders; their friendship provided a nice distraction from the stressful war. At the Battle of Carteneau, he was severely injured by a magitek vanguard and was ordered to temporarily withdraw. As such, he narrowly avoided death when Bahamut emerged from Dalamud and scorched the battlefield, being far enough from the fire to escape. Though he knows it’s irrational thinking, he still feels great guilt over the fact that he couldn’t prevent Simone’s or Aidan’s deaths, always wondering if he could have done something differently. The great number of other people who died instantly or from untreated wounds on the battlefield also added to his sense of failure.

=====End of Seventh Umbral Era to Present=====
Annie stayed with the Maelstrom for many moons after the Calamity to help with relief efforts and rebuilding, but mostly for the pay so he and Gis could support themselves. He eventually transferred to Mealvaan’s Gate, tired of the military lifestyle after the war and its painful memories. With his and Gis’ combined efforts, they managed to become financially stable enough to pursue their own interests and start a catering service which they hope to expand into a restaurant some day.

André told Annie that the reason Simone was accused of heresy was because “she knocked one of ‘em Inquisitors off Witchdrop with carbuncle fart”. Annie still has no idea whether his father was kidding or not.

Annie enjoys making desserts because he and Gis also enjoy eating them. It brings back happier memories of baking with his parents when he was young.

The reason why Annie began studying arcanima was because he too wanted an adorable sparkly death squirrel like Simone.

Annie is self-conscious about his poor eyesight and small ears if they’re under scrutiny.

To his bemusement, Annie is rather well-liked by random creatures, including but not limited to tamed chocobos, his and his friends’ pets, someone’s dancing rat, and a fat cat that started following him around when he went fishing.

One unfortunate fishing trip, Annie was almost eaten by a megalodon, but Gis saved him by beating it to death with his fishing rod while he was busy panicking. They keep its jaws at home as a conversation piece.

As such, he narrowly avoided death when Bahamut emerged from Dalamud and scorched the battlefield, being far enough from the fire to escape. Though he knows it’s irrational thinking, he still feels great guilt over the fact that he couldn’t prevent Simone’s or Aidan’s deaths, always wondering if he could have done something differently. The great number of other people who died instantly or from untreated wounds on the battlefield also added to his sense of failure.

As a result of being so preoccupied with everything around him, he tends to neglect himself. A high possibility as to why he remains so gaunt.

In the same chord, his compassion tends to be quite sincere, and as such, holding a great deal of close intimate relationships tends to be incredibly taxing upon him. As he wished not to harm or hurt others unwarranted, becoming overwhelmed is a large threat. Instances of him seeming to vanish even from those he holds dear for unannounced, lengthy periods of time are not unheard of.

When he speaks, he speaks with every part of his body. His eyes reflect his true emotions, as expressive as his lips prove to be. A pantomime of hand gestures and a mirroring posture tend to follow suit. Even in the most trivial matters, he chooses to act with passion and desire.

A pacifist by nature, he vastly prefers the pen to the sword. His understanding of combat and various styles thereof is rather extensive however, predominantly as a result of many years creating weaponry. Though not often demonstrated, he has a relatively solid grasp on how to utilize most every style of weapon he works to create, at least from a fundamental standpoint. This knowledge is typically used more often as a defensive mechanism, allowing him to focus upon evasion...when not avoiding combat completely.

Unknown to most all, he is extremely adept with the usage of daggers and various toxins. Preferring to hold the mind of a strategist, he believes that efficiency and minimalistic approach are best taken, should confrontation need occur. This, paired with the allure of intimacy, finds him quite taken with this particular style.
As stated, most would be none the wiser to this particular talent, as blade is only brandished in extreme scenarios.

As with many children of Ishgard, Crisiet was taken in by stories of heroic battles fought against the Dravanian Horde. Yet, these were not his father's tales as some would have expected. Rather, Ser Therouanne Liautroix often went out of his way to avoid his son. He was a distant man and Crisiet could not understand him, let alone ask him what it was to clash with the dragons on the front. Crisiet's mother, Yaelle avoided the subject too, though unlike her husband she did not push her only child away. Looking back, Crisiet would state that his mother seemed to be treading egg-shells on the subject of his father and on every subject when Therouanne was present, her words chosen with great precision and care. Still though, Crisiet was doted on by her and she saw to his education.

Like his mother, Crisiet took a great interest in plant-life. He helped tend her garden in the spring and summer seasons and took further interest in flower arrangements as he found them charming. His father seemed to neither approve nor disapprove of his son's hobby, always disconnected. However this simply pushed Crisiet's desire to show his father his worth. His mother gave no resistance when Crisiet told her of his intention to serve Ishgard, "To be like father." These words seemed to sting her. He never spoke them again.

When he came of age, Crisiet began his training amongst the knights of House Durendaire.

Gis is small even for a lalafell, but moves with the confidence of someone with nothing to fear. If there is anything that does unsettle her, she always meets it head on with her battle cry of "GRAA". She delights in explaining to people what this <i>graa</i> means, gathering riches, and eating sweets. She spends a lot of time looking after her brother Annie since he tends to get into trouble. Her partner Avlili tends to be the one that looks after her, acting as a moral compass to ensure Gis does not go too far in her quest for riches. Despite her tendency towards greed Gis is not an uncaring person, though she does tend to phrase herself rather bluntly when attempting to comfort someone. She worries about those close to her a lot, especially after the Calamity, and would go to very great lengths to make sure they are all safe. Since she is not going to be able to be around whenever something happens she tries to encourage everyone to be confident in themselves and their abilities, but her ways of going about it can be a tad on the unconventional side.

She always refers to herself, and frequently others, in third person. At this point most people have stopped questioning why.

Commonly known as ‘Annie’ because it’s easier to pronounce and spell, Annouille is an arcanist in the acquisitions department of Mealvann’s Gate. When he’s not in Limsa, he’s usually at the other city-states or archaeological sites in search of new material for the Arcanists’ Guild to study. He spends his free time fishing or doing research for his own private project.

Annie is self-conscious about his tall height and awkwardly lanky ‘noodle limbs’. His blond hair is usually twisted on itself in a weird half-bun half-ponytail because he is too lazy to comb it and keeps losing hair ties. He has a terrible fashion sense when unchecked, though it’s greatly improved with assistance from family and friends. People who don’t know him very well tend to think he looks a bit sad and wistful, but that’s just his default facial expression when thinking about food.

=====Personality=====
Annie is a little introverted, preferring to be alone or with a few close friends and family members. He tends to be quiet around people he does not know, but he is polite and friendly to almost everyone even if he feels awkward interacting with them. Though he can seem serious and straightlaced, he has a slightly cheeky and mischievous side that usually manifests through ribald humour unfit for children.

Gis is small, even for a lalafell, but moves with the confidence of someone with nothing to fear. If there is anything she does fear, she always meets it head on with her battle cry of "GRAA". She delights in explaining to people what this <i>graa</i> means, gathering riches, and looking after her brother Annie. Her partner Avlili tends to be the one that looks after her, acting as a moral compass to ensure Gis does not go too far in her quest for riches. Despite her tendency towards greed, Gis is not an uncaring person, though she does tend to phrase herself rather bluntly when attempting to comfort someone.

She always refers to herself, and frequently others, in third person. At this point most people know better than to question why.
