== Basic Information ==

Talathar Khalynn’s life is something of a mystery - even to herself. An orphaned Lalafell raised by a compassionate Hyur woman, she was raised with a Roegadyn older sister and a Miqo’te younger sister, under the benevolent branches of the Twelvewood. Any memories of the time before being found by her family are gone, thought to be the result of a traumatic head injury she suffered in her youth. Despite her seemingly tragic beginnings, Talathar is a bright, cheerful soul, always willing to lend a hand when people are in need.

=== Appearance ===

Talathar (or Tala, to family and friends) is a diminutive Lalafell, short even among her own people. She has long black hair and bright blue eyes, usually twinkling with curiosity or mischief. She appears to be in her late teens or early twenties, Although small in stature, she is not short in spirit, and has been known to occasionally swing a sword instead of her usual staff.

===Behavior===

Tala tends to be very patient, cheerful, and compassionate in nature, with a quiet delight in good-natured mischief. She enjoys playful, easy-going friendships with a wide variety of people, and at times likes being the “little sister” of the group. She does, however, have a very protective nature, and will leap to the defense of both family and friends.

Although she is 20 (or so), her family has kept her fairly sheltered, and as a result she is somewhat naive, even childlike in her behaviors at times. When first confronted by a new situation, she will sometimes become flustered, or have a minor panic attack - usually, a gentle-yet-firm prodding will help her to regain her focus.

When it comes to healing, she tends to show a much more serious side of her personality, and sometimes can be impatient with those who either downplay their wounds, or get injured for reasons she deems “stupid.” (Example: two people fighting to prove “who is tougher” would most likely trigger either a lecture or a lot of the silent treatment, coupled with some perhaps not-really-necessary bandages and awful-tasting tonics and remedies.)

When Tala was around 15, she and M’yrissa almost drowned in a river, when they tried to learn to swim. Tala doesn’t recall much about the incident, but since then has experienced a vague unease whenever she comes near rivers. She also does not submerge herself in water above her waist - even for bathing.

Tala is also reluctant to wear clothing that reveals too much skin - not only because of modesty, but because of the faint scarring on her body. She doesn’t remember anything about the wounds or how they were caused, but questions about them tend to make her nervous and uncomfortable. Luckily, most of the scars themselves are really very faint, and can only be seen if one looks very close, or if Tala is suffering from sunburns. On the back of her left shoulder, there is what looks to be a small circular burn mark.

When it comes to romantic relationships, Talathar is a little oblivious. She knows people have relationships, and what goes on in adult relationships, and is happy for her friends who are in happy relationships. But she herself is a little emotionally immature for her age, and doesn't really have any interest in having one of those relationships herself. She has never been in a relationship, and has never really been more than mildly curious about one, and unless approached with blunt directness, will most likely fail to see any subtle signs of flirting directed at her.

==Combat==

Tala tends towards the gentle path of healing magics. She prefers providing quiet support for the group, keeping their spirits up and their bodies in good health. Her quiet dream is to one day be worthy of being a true healer before the Elements.

However, she has studied other paths as well - including the thaumaturgic arts, and arcanery. She seems somewhat uncomfortable with wielding the destructive arts of the thaumaturgist, prefering the healing arts of Conjury.

Still, she has also begun training in the physical arts as well, at the prompting of her older sister Kori. After some rather intense training under the Roegadyn’s stern guidance, Tala quietly began studying swordsmanship at the Coliseum in Ul'dah.

As Tala remembers things, the Tahl family found her on the road near Nine Ives, around 5 or 6 years ago. She doesn’t know anything about her past before that time, and has always had a loving home with her mother and sisters.

The Tahl family lived near Bentbranch for years, until the three daughters finally convinced their mother to move to Gridania, farther away from the incursions of the Ixali. It was around the same time Tala started her studies with E-Sumi-Yan, in the arts of Conjury.

She chose to be called Talathar Khalynn rather than Tahl, because for some reason she did not like how “Talathar Tahl” sounded (which is unusual, considering Lalafell naming conventions...). However, by the official adoption papers filed with the Office of Citizenry in Gridania, her legal name is Talathar Khalynn Tahl.

OOC: While Talathar has OOC'ly become a WHM, IC'ly she is a powerful Conjurer, but not a WHM.

===Current Events===

Talathar is quietly suffering from a strange illness, which is causing her to be fevered and weak. == Basic Information ==
Korynna Tahl is a somewhat gruff, stand-offish soul, who often looks at the world with distrust and suspicion. She values her family, and the few friends who have earned her trust. Despite her outward appearances, she is at heart a protector, with a deep disdain for bullies.

Korynna is of average height for her race, with long black hair, golden eyes, and skin of reddish hue. She is fairly strong, having spent much of her life hauling goods or swinging a sword.

===Behavior===
Koryanna tends to speak much less often than either of her sisters, and has a somewhat stilted style of speaking when she does. Glares, glances, sneers, rolling-of-the-eyes, and other gestures tend to be more the basis of communication. When she does speak, she will often speak harshly or bluntly, except when angered - when angered, her tone becomes cold, and her vocabulary clipped, precise, and extremely formal.

She is very distrustful of people, especially those from the Thanalan region, and most especially other Hellguard. Kori also has a deep and abiding hatred for the slave trade and anyone connected to it, unless they are fellow survivors. Whenever possible, she will avoid traveling in Thanalan.

However, when with her family, Kori is a different person. She is very protective of both her younger sisters, and of their mother - with them, her features visibly soften, and her tone of voice is much milder.

Kori is a swordswoman. She carries both sword and shield into battle - but only when she must. She prefers helping with her mother’s business, overseeing shipments and occasionally traveling to obtain new plant cuttings for various herbs.

==History==
Kori was born into servitude, and for the first 8 years of her life, knew only in misery.

Her mother had been a beautiful but poor woman, who died of complications shortly after Kori’s birth. Her father had been slain in a duel, by a cruel and ruthless mercenary who claimed Kori’s mother as a prize. The mercenary, angered at the loss of the woman, tossed the unwanted child to his slaves. One woman took pity on the infant, and cared for her as best she could. At age 5, she was plucked from the slave quarters and traded to a different master, who kept the child chained in the yard as a pet for his teenaged boys. She had no true name, and was called such things as “worthless trash” and “nameless dog” by the pair of boys.

When she was about 8 years old, the man died, and his family fell upon hard times. The boys looked to sell their “dog” for a quick profit. On the side of the trade road, they offered the girl to a wagon driver for a “cheap price” - the traveler was taken aback, but agreed, paid the price they asked, took the child in.

The traveler was Kallie Tahl, an herb merchant from the Twelveswood. She and her stepson Korinth cared for the child, making sure she was clothed, fed, and warm. It was the first kindness she had seen in three years.

Eventually, they returned to the Twelveswood, taking the child home with them. Because the child had no name, and did not want a Roegadyn name, they named her Korynna, after the coriander plant.

When Kori turned 12, she lost her stepfather and stepbrother - the two were taking a short trip to Quarrymill with a small group of travelers for safety, only to be slain by raiders. Among the travelers were a mixed Miqo’te couple, and their 3-year-old daughter, M’yrissa. Although the parents perished, the young child survived. When Kallie and Kori went to claim the bodies of their slain, the Hyur woman took the child into her home.

Four years later, on the way home from a trip to Thanalan, Kori found a lost Lalafell child alongside the road. The child was dressed in rags, and was clearly suffering from fever, malnutrition, and from the many wounds across her body, possibly deeper trauma. The teenager quickly gathered up the injured child and rushed her to her mother’s wagon, and they tended her wounds as best they could until they reached the next settlement with a healer. Luckily, the Conjurer’s powers helped to heal the child’s wounds - even the older ones - with very little scarring.

Once nursed back to health, the child did not speak, and was extremely shy and fearful of both the Hyur woman and her eldest Roegadyn child. She seemed least frightened of the youngest Tahl, M’yrissa, who was at the time a cheerful child of 7. After weeks of coaxing, the child shared that she was called Tala, but little else of her past. Slowly, the shy child opened up more towards her adopted family.

About six years ago, while their mother was away on one of her journeys, the two youngest Tahls were playing beside a large river when Tala fell in. M'yr tried to save the little Lalafell, but almost drowned herself. Luckily, Korynna was able to haul them both back to shore, but not before Tala's head harshly struck the stones of the riverbed. == Basic Information ==

Talathar Khalynn’s life is something of a mystery - even to herself. An orphaned Lalafell raised by a compassionate Hyur woman, she was raised with a Roegadyn older sister and a Miqo’te younger sister, under the benevolent branches of the Twelvewood. Any memories of the time before being found by her family are gone, thought to be the result of a traumatic head injury she suffered in her youth. Despite her seemingly tragic beginnings, Talathar is a bright, cheerful soul, always willing to lend a hand when people are in need.

Talathar (or Tala, to family and friends) is a diminutive Lalafell, short even among her own people. She has long black hair and bright blue eyes, usually twinkling with curiosity or mischief. She appears to be in her late teens or early twenties, Although small in stature, she is not short in spirit, and has been known to occasionally swing a sword instead of her usual staff.

===Behavior===

Tala tends to be very patient, cheerful, and compassionate in nature, with a quiet delight in good-natured mischief. She enjoys playful, easy-going friendships with a wide variety of people, and at times likes being the “little sister” of the group. She does, however, have a very protective nature, and will leap to the defense of both family and friends.

Although she is 20 (or so), her family has kept her fairly sheltered, and as a result she is somewhat naive, even childlike in her behaviors at times. When first confronted by a new situation, she will sometimes become flustered, or have a minor panic attack - usually, a gentle-yet-firm prodding will help her to regain her focus.

When it comes to healing, she tends to show a much more serious side of her personality, and sometimes can be impatient with those who either downplay their wounds, or get injured for reasons she deems “stupid.” (Example: two people fighting to prove “who is tougher” would most likely trigger either a lecture or a lot of the silent treatment, coupled with some perhaps not-really-necessary bandages and awful-tasting tonics and remedies.)

When Tala was around 15, she and M’yrissa almost drowned in a river, when they tried to learn to swim. Tala doesn’t recall much about the incident, but since then has experienced a vague unease whenever she comes near rivers. She also does not submerge herself in water above her waist - even for bathing.

Tala is also reluctant to wear clothing that reveals too much skin - not only because of modesty, but because of the faint scarring on her body. She doesn’t remember anything about the wounds or how they were caused, but questions about them tend to make her nervous and uncomfortable. Luckily, most of the scars themselves are really very faint, and can only be seen if one looks very close, or if Tala is suffering from sunburns. On the back of her left shoulder, there is what looks to be a small circular burn mark.

The Tahl family lived near Bentbranch for years, until the three daughters finally convinced their mother to move to Gridania, farther away from the incursions of the Ixali. It was around the same time Tala started her studies with E-Sumi-Yan, in the arts of Conjury.

She chose to be called Talathar Khalynn rather than Tahl, because for some reason she did not like how “Talathar Tahl” sounded (which is unusual, considering Lalafell naming conventions...). However, by the official adoption papers filed with the Office of Citizenry in Gridania, her legal name is Talathar Khalynn Tahl.

Talathar Khalynn’s life is something of a mystery - even to herself. An orphaned Lalafell raised by a compassionate Hyur woman, she was raised with a Roegadyn older sister and a Miqo’te younger sister, under the benevolent branches of the Twelvewood. Although she is 20 (or so), her family has kept her fairly sheltered, and as a result she is somewhat naive, even childlike in her behaviors at times. Tala is also reluctant to wear clothing that reveals too much skin - not only because of modesty, but because of the faint scarring on her body. Luckily, most of the scars themselves are really very faint, and can only be seen if one looks very close, or if Tala is suffering from sunburns. Korynna Tahl is a somewhat gruff, stand-offish soul, who often looks at the world with distrust and suspicion. She values her family, and the few friends she has learned to trust. Despite appearances, she is at heart a protector, with a deep disdain for bullies.

Korynna is of average height for her race, with long black hair, golden eyes, and skin of reddish hue. She is fairly strong, having spent much of her life hauling goods or swinging a sword.

Koryanna tends to speak much less often than either of her sisters, and has a somewhat stilted style of speaking when she does. Glares, glances, sneers, rolling-of-the-eyes, and other gestures tend to be more the basis of communication. When she does speak, she will often speak harshly or bluntly, except when angered - when angered, her tone becomes cold, and her vocabulary clipped, precise, and extremely formal.

She is very distrustful of people, especially those from the Thanalan region, and most especially other Hellguard. Kori also has a deep and abiding hatred for the slave trade and anyone connected to it, unless they are fellow survivors. Whenever possible, she will avoid traveling in Thanalan.

However, when with her family, Kori is a different person. She is very protective of both her younger sisters, and of their mother - with them, her features visibly soften, and her tone of voice is much milder.

==History==
Kori was born into servitude, and for the first 8 years of her life, knew only in misery.

Her mother had been a beautiful but poor woman, who died of complications shortly after Kori’s birth. Her father had been slain in a duel, by a cruel and ruthless mercenary who claimed Kori’s mother as a prize. The mercenary, angered at the loss of the woman, tossed the unwanted child to his slaves. One woman took pity on the infant, and cared for her as best she could. At age 5, she was plucked from the slave quarters and traded to a different master, who kept the child chained in the yard as a pet for his teenaged boys. She had no true name, and was called such things as “worthless trash” and “nameless dog” by the pair of boys.

When she was about 8 years old, the man died, and his family fell upon hard times. The boys looked to sell their “dog” for a quick profit. On the side of the trade road, they offered the girl to a wagon driver for a “cheap price” - the traveler was taken aback, but agreed, paid the price they asked, took the child in.

The traveler was Kallie Tahl, an herb merchant from the Twelveswood. She and her stepson Korinth cared for the child, making sure she was clothed, fed, and warm. It was the first kindness she had seen in three years.

Eventually, they returned to the Twelveswood, taking the child home with them. Because the child had no name, and did not want a Roegadyn name, they named her Korynna, after the coriander plant.

When Kori turned 12, she lost her stepfather and stepbrother - the two were taking a short trip to Quarrymill with a small group of travelers for safety, only to be slain by raiders. Among the travelers were a mixed Miqo’te couple, and their 3-year-old daughter, M’yrissa. Although the parents perished, the young child survived. When Kallie and Kori went to claim the bodies of their slain, the Hyur woman took the child into her home.

Four years later, on the way home from a trip to Thanalan, Kori found a lost Lalafell child alongside the road. The child was dressed in rags, and was clearly suffering from fever, malnutrition, and from the many wounds across her body, possibly deeper trauma. The teenager quickly gathered up the injured child and rushed her to her mother’s wagon, and they tended her wounds as best they could until they reached the next settlement with a healer. Luckily, the Conjurer’s powers helped to heal the child’s wounds - even the older ones - with very little scarring.

Once nursed back to health, the child did not speak, and was extremely shy and fearful of both the Hyur woman and her eldest Roegadyn child. She seemed least frightened of the youngest Tahl, M’yrissa, who was at the time a cheerful child of 7. After weeks of coaxing, the child shared that she was called Tala, but little else of her past. Slowly, the shy child opened up more towards her adopted family.

The plight of the small Lalafell brought back painful memories for Kori, and at that time, she asked her mother’s permission to begin serious training in swordplay. While she did not wish to seek out conflict, Kori felt she needed to learn how to defend her loved ones. Since then, she has divided her time between helping her mother with the family business, and training in swordplay.

==Traits==

Zanana is an extremely ordinary Plainsfolk Lalafell. She has no special abilities to speak of, has never accomplished anything of note, and leads an all around normal life. Perhaps this is the reason as to why she began to imagine herself as a larger than life being capable of defeating gods and destroying planets. Where and when this began, no one can say.

===Appearance===

Zanana is of average height for a Lalafell, perhaps even a bit smaller. She has red eyes as well as red hair that she keeps tied behind her head. She often wears a simple eye patch that she claims "seals her dragon powers". This eye patch doesn't actually do anything, as she sometimes forgets to wear it without their being any major consequences. She recently obtained a marking in the form of a rose on her right arm, but refuses to tell anyone where she received it from.

===Behavior===

Zanana claims to be an evil dragon tasked with bringing chaos to the world who was reincarnated as a Lalafell. Many a time, she inserts herself into past events of importance, even if she wasn't actually present at the time. She most often refers to herself with self given nicknames, such as "The Dark One", "The Goddess of Death", and "she who crawls in chaos". She can also be a quite rude to people she does not know. However, there are moments when she drops her persona and acts normally. In times of high stress or if anyone is hurt, she will act normally and attend to the injured. However, if questioned about her change in demeanor, she will refuse to acknowledge it. In front of her father, she will immediately begin to act cutesy and call her father "daddy" or "papa" and hug him affectionately, regardless of their current company.

==Combat==

Zanana was trained in the way of the Pugilist from her brother Rogar. While lacking in physical strength, her deft agility in close quarters combat belies her pudgy build. She does not have the slightest clue about magic or its various intricacies, nor does she care to learn. Recently, she has begun to train herself in the way of the Lancer and has taken a quick liking to the spear.
