Dadarupo Boborupo is a Dunesfolk Lalafell and native of Ul’Dah. He is best known as the designer
behind the fashion house of Bobo, which has grown in popularity among Ul’Dah’s more affluent
residents due to the brand’s propensity for lavish material and extravagant design.

Lesser known to the general public is Boborupo’s history as one of few unique Lalafel to have trained as
a Warrior and to have manifested and overcome the spirit of rage. Though he keeps this part of his life
private, the rage can still be observed when Boborupo is in the process of constructing one of his
masterpieces; every stitch imbued with the boundless fury and passion of one who has known
bloodshed. Though officially retired from the life of havoc to one of self-made luxury, Boborupo is
unafraid to take up his axe and fight for himself and his values. His combat presence can be described as
being as elegant and merciless as his sewing.

== Appearance ==

Dadarupo is of the taller Lalafell proportion, and is quite heavy for his relative size due to the dense
musculature hidden beneath his childlike form. His eyes are sapphire blue and accented by the deep yet graying
blue of his hair and mustache, both of which are carefully groomed at all times. His personal style
reflects bridging of plate and fabric; often incorporating armor into his outfits both for functionality and
for fashion. His aesthetic could be described as ‘Gentleman Mercenary’, which some find in contrast to
the grandeur of the items he produces. He is font of jewel tones and damask in his personal attire.

== Personality ==

Dadarupo Boborupo is… very much a man of the Ul’Dah elite, but also with the jading and scars of real life
experience which he wears with great pride and a high opinion of himself. Having clawed his way into fortune
on his own, he is fiercely protective of it and of his art to the point where it might even seem cruel.
He is conservative in politics but highly progressive where the arts are concerned.

Contrary to his childlike appearance, Boborupo is one of those Lalafell who uses his appearance only as
a mechanism rather than it defining his personality. He does not appreciate any form of physical
contact, nor is he particularly appreciative of anyone else who does. He is also a font of -critiques- of the
behavior of others and is prone to unabashed call-outs.
When it comes to his work, Boborupo puts his heart and soul into ever fold and every stitch of fabric,
and because of this runs his business like a tyrant. Everything must always go his way and when it
doesn’t, lives can be ruined. He will not sew a stitch for anyone he deems “ineligible”; his poetic term for
anyone he deems unfit to wear his designs.

== Marriage ==

== Relationships ==

== Rumors ==
''
It is said that a pair of men were found along Ul’Dah’s western trade route horrifically dismembered.
Sources say they were small time bandits that had plans to attack and rob Boborupo’s delivery carriage.
Boborupo denies any knowledge of this but has been recorded stating that anyone attempting to rob
him “would lose far more than his head.”''

''It's heavily suggested that Bobo dresses and gowns are so expensive that some customers have been
driven bankrupt from poorly managing the costs. Boborupo embraces these rumors by stating the following, “If you don’t have what it takes to manage your own money, you certainly don’t have what it
takes to wear the clothes. My prices are only unreasonable for the foolish.”''

''Several women have claims to have been turned away before getting in the door for their looks. Others
have claimed they were denied services for being Ala Mighan, or having a stutter. These accusations he
neither confirms nor denies which for many of the Ul’Dah well-to- do is all the more alluring in its
exclusivity.''

''Some say Boborupo’s abrasive attitude stems from the fact that he was once engaged to be married but
his bride ran off with his twin brother and that Boborupo has not pursued any lovers nor friendships
since. Others say the man is asexual, as no attempt to seduce him has ever successfully lowered his price
tags.''

''Some say Boborupo’s abrasive attitude stems from the fact that he was once engaged to be married but
his bride ran off with his twin brother and that Boborupo has not pursued any lovers nor friendships
since. Others say the man is asexual, as no attempt to seduce him has ever successfully lowered his price
tags.''
== Family ==
The Whyte's are a wealthy merchant family established in Ul'Dah. Their primary goods of trade have been for the most part rooted in the Goldsmithing and Weaving crafts. Solmund expanded to small alchemies such as potions and ethers to increase the breadth of markets over which his net is cast. The Whyte's are Ala Mighan in descent, but migrated to Ul' Dah not long after the Lalafell opened their gates to the other races, and the promise of wealth proved fruitful. In spite of the ancestry, the Whytes have never been particularly sympathetic to the plight of Ala Migho, and though some traditions remained, felt mostly detached from the Mighan state of affairs.

Solmund's father was killed by Amal'jaa while traveling to Limsa Lominsa with a caravan of goods. His mother never quite got over the loss of her husband, and resigned herself to weaving tapestries featuring the woeful events of history. Though steeped in depression, the tapestries sold for enormous sums for their beauty, and gave Solmund a steady foothold with which to continue his father's trade.

Solmund has a sister living in Gridania. They are not on speaking terms.

== Magic ==
Solmund began training at the Gladiator's Guild at a young age. The intent was for him to one day be granted entry into the ranks of the Sultansworn and be a part of the loyal force that protects kingdom. This training was put on hold at the death of his father, and ultimately shelved as it became clear he was need to take over his father's legacy as a merchant. His skill level at that point was adequately adept, but he never had the chance to master it.

Solmund briefly studied Arcanima under the guidance of his future husband; Thoreaux Vyce. He has understanding of its concepts and is able to utilize it to some extent, but not being naturally mathematical has hindered his ability to progress his understanding to something substantial. He relies on pre-written geometries, but can recall scant few from memory with limited effectiveness.

In the past year, Solmund has undertaken training at the Pugilists Guild to keep himself in shape at his leisure. His mentor has been missing for some time, which has left him in need for a new one.

== Marriage ==
In 1570 of the Sixth Astral Era, Solmund and the Limsan scholar Thoreaux Vyce were married after a three-year affair. They lived together in Solmund's estate for about a year before the war with the Garlean Empire began to crescendo. Amid the rising fears their relationship strained, circumstances arose that uncovered serial infidelities on Solmund's part. This led to separation. In 1572, the lesser moon Dalamud began its descent to the planet's surface, promising ultimate destruction. Thoreaux, under the state of mind that death was coming, traveled to Southern Thanalan to forgive Solmund in person. As he entered desert valley, Dalamud shattered by the rage of the elder primal Bahamut, and shards of the moon were thrown far. One such shard chanced to collide in Thoreaux's path; killing him, along with his travel companions.
Though the Whyte family is only Ala Mighan by ancestry, she feels a connection with those who have fled the Garlean takeover unlike her brother. This has drawn a rift between them.

'''Dadarupo Boborupo''' - Weaver Extraordinaire. Dada is Solmund's preferred tailor and is responsible for the creation of the most fabulous items in Solmund's wardrobe. He is so adept, he has devised a way of weaving metal fibers into arcanima through his textiles, and sews these patterns into his creations. He is not known as a kindly individual.

'''N'Remia Zhan''' - Solmund's long time maidservant. She and her twin sister cared for him as a young man. Even after the calamity claimed N'Malia, N'Remia has remained faithful to Solmund. She is a well-oiled home-ec machine.

'''Rhiko'li Varekai''' - Vicious Poacher. Leads a small band of cutthroats in the Twelveswood. Responsible for the skinning of rare and valuable animals to turn large profits. Solmund intercepted one of his shipments and pocketed the profits. Rhiko'li is currently seeking the identity of the person who stole his merchandise, and plans to have some very slow and painful revenge.

== Magic ==

== Marriage ==

== Relationships ==
Cordena Whyte - Solmund's elusive sister. Cordena is a recluse living in Gridania. She has trained herself as a Lancer, and spends most of her time assisting the Ala Mighan refugees in Bentbranch. Though the Whyte family is only Ala Mighan by ancestry, she feels a connection with those who have fled the Garlean takeover unlike her brother. This has drawn a rift between them.

Dadarupo Boborupo - Weaver Extraordinaire.

Rhiko'li Varekai - Vicious Poacher.
== Family ==
The Vyce's were an Ala Mighan merchant family in trade with Ul'Dah and Limsa Lominsa prior to the Garlean take-over. Thoreaux's immediate family was in the earliest wave of refugees to leave Ala Mhigo.

Thoreaux's father; Herriod, chose to evacuate his family to Limsa Lominsa via the shrewd conclusion that they would find better quality of life there. He left behind generations of wealth in Ala Mhigo, and in paranoia suggested other Ala Mighans travel to Gridania and Ul'Dah, where they found little sanctuary. Retribution caught up to him years later, and he was found beaten and tied to a keystone under the fishing docks with Rhalgr's seal carved into his chest. In life, he was a gold merchant by trade, but raised to fight as a Monk.

Herriod's wife; Leilane, was a Sharlayan Astrologian who facilitated Herriod's opulence through divination. It was she who deemed which markets would be most fruitful, and she who may have been to blame for his actions during the migration. As a Sharlayan scholar, Leilane never made efforts to reveal the nature of her magic to even her children. After Herriod's death, Leilane remarried to a pirate captain after less than a year of mourning, and left her children to their own devices.

Thoreaux has a sister living in Ul'Dah as a Sultansworn.

== Magic ==

== Marriage ==
Thoreaux initially grew up with the physical combat and fitness training of a Pugilist at the behest of his father, but by his mother's blood was never satisfied entirely by pursuits of strength and speed. A hunger for knowledge of the intricacies of magic raged within him, but Herriod would not permit his only son to break tradition. For him, Ala Migho's heritage came before all else. It was after Herriod's murder that Thoreaux joined the Arcanist guild, and dedicated himself almost entirely to the study of arcanimal mathematica. Eventually, he would be deemed adequately skilled enough by the Guildmaster to begin his own path. With this freedom, he chose to travel; filling tomes with every sigil and formulae he came across and amassing an enormous quantity of spells from an array of cultures. == Family ==

== Magic ==
This led him to become a spell merchant, and took him to Ul'Dah to sell his ware where he met his late husband.

== Marriage ==
In 1570 of the Sixth Astral Era, Thoreaux Vyce and the Ul'Dahan monetarist lord Solmund Whyte were married after a three-year affair. They lived together in Solmund's estate for about a year before the war with the Garlean Empire began to crescendo. Amid the rising fears, their relationship strained, and circumstances arose that uncovered serial infidelities on the part of lord Whyte. One such shard chanced to collide directly into the estate. Solmund was presumed killed, along with all of the serving staff.
This led him to become a spell merchant, and took him to Ul'Dah to sell his ware where he met his late husband.

== Marriage ==
One such shard chanced to collide directly into the estate. Solmund was presumed killed, along with all of the serving staff.
