==Character==
===General===
Saachi had been locked away from the world by an overly protective, mentally deteriorating father who wanted to keep her safe from “monsters” and other things he thought might hurt her or take her away from him. She grew up extremely sheltered with only books about famous heroes and legends to keep her company. It’s those books that inspired her to become “a hero” herself and a bad deal gone wrong for her father that allowed her to escape into the world to do so.
===Appearance===
Saachi is very short for an elezen (whether this is because she’s “half-elezen/half-hyur” or just because she’s short I haven’t decided yet). However, short for an elezen still means pretty tall in this world. She’s 6’0”.
She has sort of a dark tanned skin tone and straight, green hair as well as ears that are also fairly short for an elezen. She tends to switch between four very common facial expressions: Confused, Curious, Excited and Sad.
She’s around 20 years old, but her naïve, curious, new-to-the-world behavior often makes her seem much younger than that.
===Behavior===
Having been sort of kept away from the rest of the world in a small place in Gridania, Saachi’s interactions with other people are often very awkward. She loves meeting new people and is very easily emotionally swept away when someone does something she thinks is particularly kind of “heroic”. She also becomes unspeakably delighted when she think she’s done something for someone or for the world that she thinks will have a meaningfully positive effect. It’s very important to her that she try to live her life in the same fashion that noble, adventurous characters that were illustrated in her favorite books would behave. She’s extremely excitable, but also a little nervous meeting people she’s in awe of (stuttering and coughing nervously during the course of conversation).
Having heard about how these great heroes went out and saved Eorzea and no one remembers their names, she’s begun to feel it’s her personal quest to learn more about it. It’s a great and terrible shame to her that they be forgotten to time and she means to uncover the truth and give them the recognition they deserve while simultaneously trying to become as heroic a character to the world as they were.
She’s a bit socially slow at times, not recognizing when someone is just being kind to her or when someone is trying to hit on her… since such interactions are new to her. This unfortunately means that she’s rather easy to manipulate since she, by default, just assumes the best of people and their intentions. It also means that most social interactions are odd and when they fail for reasons that are inexplicable to her she is not only sad but also extremely confused.

Saachi wants to be a great, powerful and compassionate warrior (paladin) who wears shining armor, protects people with shield and sword and blocks the horrors of the world from innocent people… The similarities between her desires and her father’s desire to protect HER are not lost on her but does nothing to change her opinion that she wants to be a protective force of good.
She’s learned recently, however, that she has a particular affinity with healing magic. She never really thought much about how she’d like to learn to heal others- instead focusing on how she needed to become strong enough with a sword to protect others- but having become acquainted with this talent she’s learned to love it and is happy that it gives her another opportunity for taking care of others.
((Saachi is gunning for both paladin and white mage, though I think I will be most comfortable playing white mage in battle and RPing the paladin angle…))

::* She’s on a quest to protect her father. He used to be a hero of sorts himself and she looks up to him. But with the loss of his wife (who may or may not be her mother and who she doesn’t remember at all), his mind slowly started to go because he was unable to hang to the one thing he wanted to hang on to more than all others… but at least he had Saachi.
His association with criminal types “back in the day” recently found him drinking and gambling with them again as his mind turns darker and darker. But a deal gone wrong with a relatively powerful criminal found thugs and dangerous types at his doorstep blackmailing him for cash. Saachi overheard the last exchange and, leaving a note for her father (since he’d never have let her leave on her own) she broke out of her home and ran away to either 1) get the money to pay her father’s debts or 2) find out who this criminal is he owes money to and defeat him.
She does not realize that her departure has made her father’s already evident mental downslide become rapidly more prominent and that she if she becomes this “great hero of legend” that she wants to become that it’s quite likely her father will be the great villain she faces at the end.

==Relationships==
===Family===
Her father, Aban. She wants to protect him. There is some “thing” that his enemies have on him related to her and though she doesn’t know what it is- she figures that her absence will protect him more than her sticking around. He was once a noted philanthropist and “hero”—though no one is talking much about that these days…
===Friends===
Until recently: no one. But she’s started a few friendly relationships here and there including with Kalen Cook, Dovan Dracht all the members of the Golden Sands.

==Character==
===General===
Xifang is in her late teens and a bit of a nosy, hyper active brat. The youngest child of a very large, relatively wealthy family she’s always trying to show off and get attention some way or another. She has a comical fear of chocobos. She claims they look “untrustworthy”.
===Appearance===
Xifang is the shortest member of her relatively tall Hyur family- a fact that would irk her if she didn’t find herself often in the company of people just as short, if not shorter, than she is. She’s also got a much, much smaller chest than the other female members of her family and that fact DOES irk her as one of her favorite places to visit is the beach and there are often tons of sexy ladies there with their cups spilling over. She’s not so much interested in wearing clothes that are comfortable or that protect her that well as she is interested in anything that makes her “look cool”.
The biggest slap in the face for her is that she cannot find clothes that let her gather or craft while looking cool. (I’d like to come up with some IC reason she does mining and goldsmithing when she normally would not. Punishment? Same for the clothes)
===Behavior===
She is extremely extroverted and nearly as self-centered. She doesn’t mean any ill will at all; in fact, she desperately loves meeting new people and becoming friends with them. It’s just that she views each interaction from her own perspective and can be something of a bully at times by forcing people to dance with her, give her directions to parties, hang out with her, etc. And, really, it’s the social events she’s most interested in. She has a ton of rage and ire for the events that have transpired lately that make this world harder for her to have a good time in, and as a result is truly dedicated to seeing things get better so that she can go back to her happy, peaceful, slacker existence. That said, the laziness is a part of her and sometimes she shirks duties just to run off and hang out with people in a new location.
The great news (for her) is that she’s also extremely optimistic that her talents will have a meaningful impact on the world (read as: over confident). She rarely worries that she won’t make it out of some terrible situation or another on top. She also rarely worries about her friends either because she’s certain they’re just as on top of things as she is.
She also cannot say no to a lot of dares. If she’s given a venue to show off and then someone suggests that she can’t do something she has this pressing and urgent need to show them wrong immediately. This causes a lot of problems.

Xifang is a pugilist. She plans on becoming a monk. She doesn’t really have the discipline, per se, to be a monk by the common definition but she’s not really worried about it. If there’s a problem with her becoming a monk, she assumes the problem is with the teachings and not with her. She can do it her own way. Should a thief or ninja class ever open itself she’ll likely go into that.

::* Xifang’s philosophy is that this world is broken and messed up and that sitting around feeling sorry for ourselves or focusing too hard on the past isn’t going to make it at all better. When things are dark, you turn on a light. She thinks that optimism, social engagements, laughter and any combination of positive social interaction is absolutely necessary in those times. In fact, she really despises how frequently she’s told that she should be more serious and that she’s got the wrong idea. People who are refuse to put down their guard and have a good time are the ones that have it wrong in her mind. “You’ve got to remember what it is that you’re even boringly plodding along trying to protect so hard. It’s all the good in the world. You should go see some of that good sometime!”

===Family===
Xifang is the seventh and last child of a very large family. She often felt overlooked as one sibling after another had some great accomplishment or another- whether it be militaristic, crafting or scholarly. There wasn’t a lot of room for her to figure out what fantastic contribution she was going to make for the family, so she decided that whatever she felt like doing at a given time she’d “blow them all away!” with how fantastic she was at it. She spent a lot of time studying various pursuits just to make her family notice how awesome she was. She still does this; she still has a chip on her shoulder about proving that she can excel at things. Any things.
All of her siblings are female except for one older brother, Celtis, who she really adores… partially on account of how much he doted on HER. He’s a bit of a black sheep in the family though and hasn’t been seen in quite some time.
===Friends===
She claims to be friends with everyone who takes any kind of a liking to her. She’s currently quite close to Latrans Adustus… who she also mocks mercilessly (and mocks her back just as mercilessly).
===Enemies===
Boring, stuffy, mean people who won’t dance with her. Aside from that, all the horrible monsters in the world. No specific person.

==History/Timeline==

Five years ago Xifang was only about 13 years old. Her experience and viewpoint of how the world has changed is very different than for other people she’s met who remember, clearly, all the things that led up to it and feel the effects much stronger. ((I’m certain it’s had an effect on her family but I need to flesh that out more))
