===Basic Details===

At twenty nine years old, Takh’a is the eldest son of Takh Nybori, matriarch of the Nybori family. He was raised deep in the Twelveswood by a fairly traditional Keeper family in a small village alongside three other extended family groups. Though he grew up with a number of siblings only one brother, Takh’to, and his two elder sisters, Khyta and Maiah, survived the Calamity. Though he now lives in Gridania, making use of his skills as a wood carver, he still spends much of his time in the Twelveswood.

===Family===

'''Mother -''' Takh Nybori (deceased)

'''Father -''' Rhian’to Nayoki

'''Brother -''' Takh’to

'''Sisters -''' Maiah, Shiani, Rhian (deceased), Senha (deceased)

'''Son -''' Tsun’li

'''Daughters -''' Vhena, Khyta

===Appearance===

With his dark hair and dusky skin tone Takh’a is not a particularly remarkable Miqo’te. He is of average build and height for his race, though he considers himself to be a little on the short side. A lifetime spent roaming the forest he has helped him to develop a lean and agile frame well suited to living, hunting and scouting through the dense woodland of the Twelveswood.

===Personality/Behaviour===

Takh’a is the solitary type who likes to wander, growing restless if trapped in any one place for more than a few months. He splits his time between carpentry work in Gridania and roaming the forest as he has done since he was a child. He moved into the city of Gridania after the Calamity and, though he has always been more at home out in the wild or in the villages of his people, he finds the relatively calm pace of his city life in Gridania an acceptable alternative.

Though not overtly hostile toward strangers he is nevertheless wary of them and prefers to keep to the company of his own. He is uncomfortable in large crowds, finding the excessive noise disorientating and abrasive, and prefers quiet, calm surroundings. However, despite his reticence around strangers, the Miqo’te finds he makes friends easily enough, being happy to engage with people once he knows who they are. It is the initial approach that usually puts him off; such reservation when it comes to approaching strangers is something of a personality flaw that often leaves other with the wrong impression.

Takh’a is nocturnal, like many Keepers, and too much time spent out in the glaring sun plays havoc with his sensitive eyes; often leaving him with pounding headaches. His eyes are attuned to the dim gloom of the night time forest in which he grew up and not the bright sunlit glare of the daytime world. As a result he tries to keep to a fairly nocturnal schedule, conducting any business he can during twilight hours or the early morning when the sun is at its lowest.

Since moving into the city he has developed a fondness for books and has managed to accumulate a small library worth of tomes which he is quite happy to spend copious hours poring through. Reading is one of the few activities that he can engage in for any period of time without growing distracted.

===Background: Before the Calamity===

Takh’a is the eldest son of Takh Nybori and Rhian'to Nayoki. Though one of many siblings only one brother, Takh’to, and two sisters, Shiani and Maiah, survived the Calamity. Maiah, the eldest of the surviving siblings took over their mother's role as head of the family after the disaster which claimed the lives of many of his people.

As a boy Takh’a learned from his father how to carve small toys and trinkets out of wood. As he grew older he expanded those skills to crafting tools and weapons such as the short bow he uses to hunt. These carving skills were put to further use in the aftermath of the Calamity as he worked with the carpenters in Gridania helping in the repair the damage caused to the city.

As an adult he spent much of his time on the move having left home almost as soon as he was of an age to do so. During these years he would settle for a few months at a time before moving on when the mood took him. Over the years this wandering developed a somewhat circular pattern as he moved from place to place, re-visiting the same familiar settlements, returning to old loves and the children that came of those relationships.

===Background: The Calamity===

Takh’a was alone when the Calamity struck. He managed to seek shelter from the fiery rain, waiting out the chaos in the relative safety of a network of small caves. As the initial chaos subsided he returned to his home village to find everything in ruins; a fragment from the exploding Dalamud had torn through the small settlement, leaving only devastation it its wake. In all, the Calamity claimed the lives of many he had known and of all his children only three survived the disaster: two daughters Khyta and Vhena, and a son, Tsun’li. The mother of the two sisters was killed in the disaster, but he still maintains a relationship the girls' village and with the mother of his son.

Despite the carnage some members of the Nybori family did survive; namely those who had been away from the village when the moon came down. His sister, Shiani, took charge in their mother's place, and Takh’a stayed long enough to help in the rebuilding.Once this task was done he moved on to Gridania, knowing that his skills as a hunter and as a carpenter would be useful in the recovery efforts there. He spent the following years assisting the refugees and aiding the locals in the rebuilding of the city.

===Present Day===

Takh'a still continues to divide his time between his responsibilities in Gridania and his old life back in the Twelveswood but he no longer stays more than a few days in any one place before returning home to the city. He still maintains a relationship with those who survived the Calamity but the losses still linger in his mind and he has no desire to return fully to his old life. Instead, as the demand on the city's carpenters has eased Takh’a has returned to carving the small wooden toys, simple tools and elaborate short bows his father had taught him to make. The small items sell for small profit but it is enough to keep him in the city for now.

===Basics===

Taryn is of tall-average height for a hyur and of fairly average build, being not particularly stocky nor overly thin. Appearance is as seen to the right; dark hair, dark green eyes and a tanned skin tone. He has a number of scars; one which is visible the lower right side of his jaw, the rest mostly to his torso and upper arms. Aside from those he also has a fairly distinct black tattoo on the left side of his face as can be seen in the image.

===Personality===

Taryn is generally a reserved, quiet individual who keeps his thoughts to himself. Though he sometimes frequents taverns and other establishments he usually prefer his own company or that of a few close friends over rowdy gatherings of strangers.

The midlander has a cautious, watchful nature; something he learned during his later years in Ul'dah and he tends to pay close attention to small details; a habit likewise developed in recent years.

He has no head for saving money, often spending it as fast as he can earn it, though he does not share his fathers gambling ways. As he has something of an obsession when it comes to collecting books and scrolls a large percentage of the Gil he earns ends up being spent on such things. In the past two years alone he has managed to gather a small library worth of texts and buying books to add to his collection is an almost compulsive habit.

===History===

Though Taryn was born in the city of Gridania he and his family relocated to Ul'dah when he was roughly nine years old. As a youth he learned how to wield and fight with a polearm, initially learning from his father and in later years from a number of different teachers in his employer's service. Four years prior to the advent of the Calamity he began working for an Ul'dahn merchant who was heavily involved in more than simple, legitimate trading avenues - a choice that was influenced by the existence of significant gambling debts racked up by his father. There are rumors which suggest Taryn's work went further than simple guard duties, crediting him as having acted in some kind of enforcement capacity at various points in time.

He is believed to have spent approximately four years in the employ of said merchant, only leaving the city to return to Gridania after the advent of the Calamity. With the disaster taking the life of his father and youngest sister, and following the death of his employer (likewise attributed to the disaster, though some may know otherwise) Taryn and his surviving family members returned to Gridania. There he played some role in helping his sister found her own business in the city; something which she now uses to support both herself and their mother.

Four years ago he arrived in the port city of Limsa Lominsa and has remained there ever since, working as a security guard for a small Magi-tek Research and Development company which was later absorbed by the growing XI:7.

((There is a lot more to this but in the interests of interesting RP I am keeping it short - the best way to learn about a character is to interact with them))

===Family===

Taryn’s family reside in Gridania where his elder sister runs her own business. His father and youngest sister died in the Calamity.

'''Mother:''' Marianne

'''Sister:''' Alyssa

===Skills, Interests and Experience===

Taryn spent some of his time in the city of Ul’dah studying the alchemical sciences; with arguably limited success. This study was interrupted by the advent of the Calamity, and though he has managed to obtain a small number of texts on the subject which have aided him in continuing his research, he is still relatively unpractised in the art and his knowledge in this area is more theoretical than practical.

The midlander has a cautious, watchful nature; though whether this is something he has always demonstrated or something learned during his time in Ul'dah is uncertain. It is most likely a combination of both. He tends to pay close attention to small details, a habit developed in recent years; much of which he has spent working as a security escort for trading caravans and individuals.

Taryn appears to be an almost obsessive collector of books and scrolls, mostly pertaining to the areas of alchemy and Magi-tek development, suggesting a fascination with such subjects.
He is believed to have spent approximately four years in this manner, only leaving the city to return to Gridania after the advent of the Calamity. ===Physical Description===

Lothaire is of short-average height for an Elezen though generally he still stands a good few ilms taller than your average midlander. Appearance is as seen to the right. He has a number of scars, mostly to his torso and upper arms and has few other distinguishing features save the curved black tattoo on the left side of his face.

===Family===

Lothaire’s family reside mostly in Gridania where they settled after the Calamity. His elder sister Nymiene Valtin runs her own business which his mother, Marcette Valtin, assists with. Lothaire’s father and two brothers perished in the disaster.

===Aquaintances===

Yvaine Winters: A midlander woman who runs an alchemy business in the city of Limsa Lominsa; on the side she also studies and experiments with small magi-tek devices. Lothaire visits her fairly often though their association traces much further back than the city-state. There is no romantic involvement between the two; Lothaire has a deep interest in both alchemy and magi-tek devices his connection to her is more that of friend and student.

===Personality===

Lothaire is generally a reserved, quiet individual who keeps his thoughts to himself. Though he can sometimes be seen frequenting taverns and other establishments he tends to prefer his own company and that of a few close friends over rowdy gatherings of strangers.

The Elezen has a cautious, watchful nature; something he has always had to some extent but which became more pronounced during his time in Ul'dah. He tends to pay close attention to small details, a habit developed in recent years; much of which he has spent working as a security escort for trading caravans and individuals.

Lothaire is an almost obsessive collector of books and scrolls, mostly pertaining to the areas of thaumaturgy, Alchemy and Magi-tek development; the result of a deep fascination with such subjects and a continuation of more formal training in the areas of alchemy and thaumaturgy.

He has no head for saving money, often spending it as fast as he can earn it. As he has something of an obsession when it comes to collecting books and scrolls a large percentage of the Gil he earns ends up being spent on such things. In the past two years alone he has managed to gather a small library worth of texts and buying books to add to his collection is an almost compulsive habit.

===History===

Lothaire was born and raised in the city of Gridania but seven years prior to the Calamity he left the city alone and relocated to Ul'dah. There is no indication that his departure was spurred on by anything more than a desire to study thaumaturgy there but what prompted this initial interest in the subject is unknown.

He spent approximately nine years in the desert city and he never made a return trip to his home city until the Calamity. After the disaster he made one brief visit to Gridania before returning to Ul'dah a few months later. Frequent correspondences between he and his family however suggest that his decision not to return home more frequently had less to do with any friction between family members and more to do with a rather single-minded fixation on his studies.

At some point during his nine years in Ul'dah he made the acquaintance of Yvaine Winters; an alchemist who ran a small shop in the city. From her he developed an interest in alchemy. She herself left the city sometime after the Calamity and relocated her business to Limsa Lominsa and Lothaire has been observed in her company fairly often since arriving in the city himself.

After leaving Ul'dah three years ago Lothaire spent some time travelling; falling back on his thaumaturge training in order to take jobs providing security and escorts for small merchant caravans and individuals. Two years ago he arrived in the port city of Limsa Lominsa and has remained there ever since, working security for a small Magi-tek Research and Development company which was later absorbed by the growing XI:7.

===Combat Training and Experience===

Lothaire was raised in a community where the use of both bow and spear were quite common and as a child he would have been exposed to the use of both. However, he pursued study in neither of these areas, and at the age of approximately fifteen he arrived in the city-state of Ul'dah where he enrolled in the study of thaumaturgy.

Aside from a brief interruption brought about by the advent of the Calamity he remained in the city of Ul'dah for a period of roughly nine years. Three years ago he left the city abruptly, eventually turning up again in Limsa Lominsa approximately a year later. Since then, though all formal training appears to have ceased, he has managed to gather quite a collection of texts on the subject suggesting that his research into the area is on-going.

===Crafting/Trade Skills and Experience===

Lothaire has a strong interest in alchemy; something which caught his attention seven years ago when he was living in the city of Ul’dah. This is where he met Yvaine Winters, who relocated her alchemy business to the city of Limsa Lominsa several years after the Calamity. The midlander woman experiments with and studies magi-tek devices alongside her primary alchemy business, and Lothaire's frequent visits to her establishment in Limsa Lominsa are largely motivated by an on-going interest in both subjects.

===A Brief History===

Annessa Thorne woke five years ago in the city of Limsa Lominsa with little memory of who she was or how she had arrived. She believes herself to be a victim of the Calamity; that her memory loss may have been brought on by injuries sustained during the chaos. But whatever brought her to the maritime city remains a mystery to her - only hazy memories and chaotic, incoherent dreams give her any clue to her past or purpose.

She awoke safe and (aside from the memory loss and a raging headache) relatively sound in unfamiliar surroundings, her injuries tended with care by a stranger who had found her near the docks. A search of her meager possessions suggested a recent stay in the mercantile city of Ul’dah and the potions and herbs found in her small pack indicated past work as an alchemist, botanist or some similar trade. But any knowledge she may have accumulated in her past life was as hazy and shrouded now as the memories of her past. With little coin and no real trail to follow Limsa Lominsa became her home.

She adopted the name Annessa Thorne, a temporary alias in place of her real and now long forgotten identity. With little else to go on and no money to speak of she has spent the past five years building a new life in the maritime city, working part time as a bartender and waitress at the Drowning Wench; a temporary situation she has assured herself she will leave as soon as a better alternative presents itself. Whatever her trade in the past the prospect of spending the rest of her life serving drinks and waiting on drunken customers in the Wench holds little appeal. In the hours she has free she has been learning from the city’s Arcanists, introduced to the art by the same person who found and rescued her from the docks during the disaster.

Her missing past is a source of intense frustration. Her dreams of late have grown dark and frightening; strange scenes of murder and violence, out of kilter with her current, normal existence. One in particular keeps surfacing again and again and it is this dream which tempts her into travelling to the city of Ul’dah in search of answers. Just as soon as she can afford to travel…

===Appearance===

Annessa is of average height and weight for a Midlander, with long reddish brown hair that she keeps tied back from her face. She tends to favour a more conservative style of dress, preferring practical over pretty and balks at spending more coin than necessary on what she considers to be frivolous adornments. As a result she has developed something of a plain, unremarkable look, blending in with the crowd with strangely practiced ease.

===Personality/Behaviour===

Normally a calm, easy going person Annessa projects a relaxed and friendly demeanor to the outside world. She comes across on first impressions as amiable though perhaps a little reserved, making friends easily but being careful not to let others get too close. Where others in her position might have withdrawn from society or searched for answers to questions of their missing past Annessa has instead integrated well into life in Limsa Lominsa, always keen to meet new people and happy to listen endlessly to the stories and tales brought to the city by passing adventurers.

However she has grown more wary of late. The dark dreams that plague her night time hours have awoken shadowy, half recalled memories that suggest that she may not be all that she is pretending to be. She is keenly aware of the strangely vulnerable position that her missing memories place her in; the possibility that someone from her past could walk right through the door and she would never know who they are is an alarming one. In the past such musings would have filled her with hope, but that feeling has been replaced with one of fear. If the contents of her dreams are any indication of her past, she may not want that person to walk through those doors.

The distinctly vulnerable feelings roused by this fact have lent a certain jumpiness to her manner. Though she tries to keep up the outward appearance of a calm, collected woman each new and unfamiliar face is scanned with apprehension, as though she hopes she might catch a glimmer of warning before disaster strikes. At time goes on every new encounter brings with it a growing sense of unease and appearances become harder to maintain; the need for answers that has plagued her the past five years has taken on a more urgent tone. Though her dreams may be nothing more than tormented fantasies or even half remembered tales there are answers to be found and she would rather find them herself than have them exposed for all the world to see – particularly if the truth is darker than she had believed.

===A Deeper History: The Missing Pieces===

''Side note: Unless your character is directly from Annessa's past this information is to be regarded as OOC only. ===A Brief History===

===Appearance===

===Personality/Behaviour===

At time goes on each new encounter brings with it a growing sense of unease and appearances become harder to maintain; the need for answers that has plagued her the past five years has taken on a more urgent tone. Though her dreams may be nothing more than tormented fantasies or even half remembered tales there are answers to be found and she would rather find them herself than have them exposed for all the world to see – particularly if the truth is darker than she had believed.

===A Brief History===

Annessa Thorne woke five years ago in the city of Limsa Lominsa with little memory of who she was or how she had arrived. She believes herself to be the victim of the Calamity; that her memory loss may have been brought on by injuries sustained during the chaos.

===Appearance===

===Personality/Behaviour===

However she has grown more wary of late; the dark dreams that plague her nighttime hours have awoken shadowy, half recalled memories that suggest that she may not be all that she is pretending to be. And she is keenly aware of the strangely vulnerable position that her missing memories place her in; the possibility that someone from her past could walk right through the door and she would never know who they were is an alarming one. In the past such musings would have filled her with hope, but that feeling has been replaced with one of fear. If the contents of her dreams are any indication of her past, she may not want that person to walk through those doors.

The distinctly vulnerable feelings roused by this fact have lent a certain jumpiness to her manner. Each new, unfamiliar face is scanned apprehensively, as though she hopes she might catch a glimmer of warning before disaster strikes. At time goes on each new encounter brings with it a growing sense of unease. The need for answers that has plagued her the past five years has taken on a more urgent tone.

Annessa herself has no memory of her past, but if anyone should wish their character to have some kind of history with her (specifically regarding her life as a Garlean spy and assassin) please get in touch with me in game (or PM Annessa at the RPC forums).''
Each new, unfamiliar face is scanned apprehensively, as though she hopes she might catch a glimmer of warning before disaster should strike. And each new encounter brings with it a growing sense of unease. The need for answers that has plagued her the past five years has taken on a more urgent tone, though her dreams may be nothing more than tormented fantasies or even half remembered tales from books she may have read, there are answers to be found and she would rather find them herself than have them exposed for all the world to see – particularly if the truth is darker than she had believed.
===A Brief History===

Annessa Thorne woke five years ago in the city of Limsa Lominsa with little memory of who she was or how she had arrived. She believes herself to be the victim of the Calamity; that her memory loss may have been brought on by injuries sustained during the chaos.

===Appearance===

===Basic Details===

===Family===

'''Mother -''' Takh Nybori (deceased)

'''Father -''' Rhian’to Nayoki

'''Brother -''' Takh’to

'''Sisters -''' Maiah, Khyta, Rhian (deceased), Senha (deceased)

'''Son -''' Tsun’li

'''Daughters -''' Vhena, Shiani

===Appearance===

===Personality/Behaviour===

===Background: Before the Calamity===

Takh’a is the eldest son of Takh Nybori and Rhian'to Nayoki. Though one of many siblings only one brother, Takh’to, and two sisters, Khyta and Maiah, survived the Calamity. Khyta, the eldest of the surviving siblings took over their mother's role as head of the family after the disaster which claimed the lives of many of his people.

===Background: The Calamity===

In all, the Calamity claimed the lives of many he had known and of all his children only three survived the disaster: two daughters Shiana and Vhena, and a son, Tsun’li. The mother of the two sisters was killed in the disaster, but he still maintains a relationship the girls' village and with the mother of his son.

Despite the carnage some members of the Nybori family did survive; namely those who had been away from the village when the moon came down. His sister, Khyta, took charge in their mother's place, and Takh’a stayed long enough to help in the rebuilding.Once this task was done he moved on to Gridania, knowing that his skills as a hunter and as a carpenter would be useful in the recovery efforts there. He spent the following years assisting the refugees and aiding the locals in the rebuilding of the city.

===Present Day===

===Background: Before the Calamity===

===Background: The Calamity===

===Present Day===

At twenty seven years old, Takh’a is the eldest son of Takh Nybori, matriarch of the Nybori family. He was raised deep in the Twelveswood by a fairly traditional Keeper family in a small village alongside three other extended family groups. Though he grew up with a number of siblings only one brother, Takh’to, and his two elder sisters, Khyta and Maiah, survived the Calamity.
===Appearance===

===Personality/Behaviour===

===Background: Before the Calamity===

===Background: The Calamity===

===Present Day===
