−	Vahjah'tan Raha was born as the tenth son to a Keeper of the Moon that felt she had to have been cursed to never have the daughter she wanted. While she started out a very loving mother who was ever attentive to her babies, by the time Vaja was born his oldest siblings provided more of the care than Vahjah Raha, so Vaja failed to get true paternal nurturing and was instead semi-ignored by the siblings that provided his care.

−	Left to his own most of the time, Vaja failed to learn to emotionally bond with others. He instinctively wants to find love, so searches out women he can get close to. He sometimes fails to realize that what he thinks is proper feelings is not taken as such by the person he is attempting to endear himself to. This has lead to more than a few instances of Vaja fleeing an area as the authorities searched for a miqo'te stalking and assaulting local women.

−	Vaja has adapted to his inability to connect with others by wearing a mask when he approaches women and attempting to win favor, and pull them into a 'deal', by allowing them to see his face. He avoids others seeing his face when he can, because of lessons learned in areas he has been run out of. Since Vaja has no childhood basis for what those emotions are based on, his approach is seen in a much poorer light by those he stalks.

−	Vaja is extremely angry and embarrassed when it comes to his being a tenth son, so never includes the designator when he introduces himself. Instead he intentionally sets just enough of a falter to "Vaja" that most assume he has said "Vaj'a" and therefore assume him to be the first son.
