 The change of environment was a drastic one for the teenage Sora at that moment, which was accompanied by the need to adapt to his new surroundings accordingly. While Gridania was about the struggles between man and nature, Limsa was plagued by greed and piracy; his sharpshooting skills with a bow and arrow weren’t enough against the pirates’ big guns and explosives, and so Sora was forced to look for other ways to combat these threats—and this meant learning new skills. He was first approached by Arcanists’ Guild when they noted his high aptitude for magic, but Sora turned them down and joined the Rogues’ Guild instead, preferring to work in the shadows rather than devoting himself to magical research. This was partly due to his disinterest in the arcane arts, but it also had a hidden reason that was closely related to his past—his true background, in which he had never disclosed with anyone so far.</div>
