She will mainly bake or make candies, but also cooks as well though less due to having no outlet to test her new dishes. Her strong points are more oriental styled dishes and pastries but she will try new things on request. Depending on her current job she will also wait on those at the gathering as she prefers staying on her feet. "I hired her once to help me tend my gardens. Her skills in archery and healing are more dominant than the others, but she tries to keep proficient in all due to her strong feeling of needing to be prepared for anything. Although she does not reveal herself when geared for it, Mae is also fond and training in the art of being a Dark Knight. Her true feelings and thoughts revealing her more dark nature tend to slip from time to time due to dabbling in it.

Appearance & Personality "Her? I'd rather not associate with her. Seen her around some shady lookin' characters I have." - Traveling Merchant Although her attire typically changes, she tends to gravitate towards darker clothing. She's very fond of formal suits or her work cloths, she'll typically dress more like a guy than a girl. With a rather pale peach complexion, she has lilac eyes and dark brown hair. Very short and sylphlike, Mae is an Au Ra of the Xaela, her scales and horns are a dark raven color. Found wandering aimlessly within towns or fields, Mae seems to always be lost in thought. She'll occasionally stop and occupy a space with a blank look on her face for long periods of time. Typically Mae will be quiet among crowds of people but will talk freely when with someone she trusts is beside her. Usually speaking politely, sometimes her more cynical or chaotic side will emerge when in conversation, although she prefers not to show that side of her around others or crowds. It's best some not know what she is thinking due to the fact she is almost always thinking that way. Having a rather strong desire to serve Mae comes off as rather odd to some since she will treat most females like princesses. Although not often, she will also treat some males like a king or lord, but in a lighter manner. Her facial emotions including smiles are typically paired with strong somber or hollow eyes. Quick History W.I.P. This is a simplified and shortened version of Mae's story, sorry for any vagueness. Pre-Calamity Pre-Calamity Mae was a traveling Bard seeking her older step brother who had given her a Silver Harp that she cherished deeply. Having traveled so long she abandoned her name and ultimately forgot it due to being called many different names. Eventually she found herself within the Black Shroud hearing a beautiful song and voice in her head. Staying within Gridania for a few weeks she met with an odd Hyur Midlander eventually given and adopted the name Mae Init before continuing her travels. Having traveled to Thanalan from the Black Shroud she then spent her days searching for her older step brother and playing her harp in front of the fountain beside the Quicksand. There she met those to be her new friends and was separated from the Silver Harp she had cherished so much. Traveling with them she proved her worth as a Bard and grew attached to her new friends. Though all their risks did not go without loss, and the team created a Linkshell before going separate ways in Limsa Lominsa. Wandering alone yet again Mae was at loss on what to do next. Without her Silver Harp and any leads on her brother she had no direction to go and settled within Limsa Lominsa studying as a Culinarian. Eventually, she met familiar faces and was given back her Silver Harp. Vowing to repay them for the return of both her harp and her motivation she followed and assisted them in their endeavors. Finally towards the end of their journey Mae and friends participated in the Battle of Carteneau. After all their struggles together and the fall of many of those she cared for Mae was stricken by a fatal blow. As Bahamut emerged from Dalamud and a light enveloped her she wished on her dieing breath to have been able to live her life to protect those dear to her instead of searching and being hung on her past. Post-Calamity Laying pale and lifeless appearing, Mae was found by a charred appearing Chocobo with strange barding. Without any memories of herself including her name the chocobo brought her to Gridania where she would then discover about her basic surroundings. Staying within the Black Shroud she took up odd jobs helping residents and typically spending nights outside with her chocobo. Eventually taking advice from both residents and adventurers she traveled to Limsa Lominsa where she was discovered by a band of thugs claiming to know her as Zivenia. Being told she was an assassin she trained in the art of stealth with both bow and dagger. On one of her missions in Thanalan she met the odd Hyur Midlander again who claimed to know her and that she was not Zivenia, but Mae Init. Not believing him at first she tried hard to rid of the pest, but could never find the heart to kill him. Instead she began to second guess her ways and met with the Midlander demanding proof of who she really was. Being told in detail many things about her personality that she had not revealed to anyone she began to believe the Midlander. Enraged at being manipulated by the band of thugs she made haste and made short work of the lot before becoming a mercenary and hired hand. Working and never creating ties with anyone she finally grew tired of being left in the dark. Setting out to find the Midlander again and demand he tell her all the memories she had lost, but was met with denial. Being told that she could never be aloud to remember, no matter how much anyone wished for it. Not taking no for an answer she fought with him only to be met with no resistance and the somber reply of, "You yourself had wished for this with all your might and I made an oath to you that I will keep." Being denied a way to return any of her memories Mae began to wander again. Trying to find a purpose in a life of emptiness she eventually started to train as a Culinarian again within Limsa Lominsa, finding enjoyment in the delight of those who tried her dishes and creations she began to study and train hard, eventually traveling to try new dishes and learning to cook from what the land provided. Traveling and meeting new people she came back to realize she had no real way to defend herself or those who became important to her. Over hearing about an epic trial by combat while in Ishgard Mae discovers that the knights did not even give proper burial. Going to seek the body and pay respects for the one who was slain she notices a crystal as she reaches out to the "demon" only to pass out moments later. Awakening at the site of someone else they offer to teach Mae in the ways of a Dark Knight, to defend those dear to her and in need as she sees fit. Agreeing to the woman's offer Mae began training along side her study for the Culinary arts.
