History
Perish Song, as the name might imply, was adopted by a Roegadyn couple in Ul'dah at a young age. Her fathers encouraged her to study at the Arrzaneth Ossuary when they discovered she had an aptitude for magic, as neither of them had any experience. During her time there, however, she was caught in an illegal summoning ritual, and was expelled from the guild along with the others involved (despite her questionable involvement, if there was any at all). After a while, she convinced her parents to let her continue her studies in Limsa Lominsa, where she would go on to spend several years. She acquired a taste for the arcane arts, preferring their predictability over the chaos of thaumaturgy.
During her time in Limsa Lominsa, Perish discovered her knack for singing, and performed here and there as a way to pay for her education. Whereas her classmates back in Ul'dah made fun of her for her name, she used it as an advantage on stage at Lominsan taverns and restaurants. As the years went on, her audiences became more prestigious, until she was back in Ul'dah with a career performing for the elite. However, a run-in with an old classmate changed her life for the worse, and certain events happened that forced her to leave Ul'dah and lay low for a while.
