The Dark Knight Amyrlin Valister hails from Ala Mhigo and for the longest time has been a refugee from the city state. She would be known as a strong warrior who, at a time in her youth, became angry and protested that the Heavens' Ward consisted of only men. Vowing becoming one of the Heavens' Ward she disappeared for some time, only returning as a powerful Dark Knight in the service of a mysterious anonymous noble house whose patron is completely unknown. APPEARANCE Unconventionally beautiful, she has a rugged appearance, her odd coloured eyes set in a stern almost glare. She is well kept as evidenced by her precise grooming when she isn't otherwise engaged in combat. She is tall, standing at 6 fulms 4 ilms, her curves hidden in always present ornate armour denoting no crescent of the house she works for. Her stance, though having the appearance of rigidity, is strong, her back always held straight and feet always ready, planted for optimal balance in the event of a surprise attack. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Having heterochromia, one eye is blue and the other is red. ■ There is a scar she seems unfond of under her chin where a blade has clearly cut. ■ Her eyes narrow in notable distaste of most other races. PERSONALITY The time for childlike wildness is over. Where she had once been very vocal and opinionated, and has the potential to be so now she is a very regimented and quiet, stern character. She has a very dry sense of humour coupled with a brutal sense of honesty... but a nasty hatred of most other races. Living within Ul'dah has done little to curb her distrust and dislike of other races, though she seems most tolerant of Lalafell. Working for a noble house hasn't helped her opinion of herself either - she's confident, not just in her skills but in her opinions if she chooses to voice them and often looks down on those of lesser status or earning less than her. The character's mind in her racism isn't set in stone either. I'm more than willing, even happy to entertain possibly having her change her opinions over time through interaction. I'm Australian, so negotiating timezones is difficult, but I'm available on the weekends, or late at American night. Personal RP Limits ■ I will play The bad guy, the turning into good guy, the good guy ■ I won't play Anything wherein my character brutally murders children. She can do it, and may, but I won't RP it out. CHARACTER TIDBITS Potential Plot Hooks While she enjoys how much money she is making with her current employer, having never met them and having no idea who they are or what they are doing deeply troubles Amyrlin. She'd rather work for a house that has a face and pays a little less, than one that doesn't. ■ She's a known racist. Perhaps your character isn't a hyur and would like to try and change her mind? ■ She was a refugee from Ala Mhigo and was involved in various military efforts. She might be recognized from that and an old comrade might be able to find her through her unique appearance and brackish personality. ■ You were there when she went on an impassioned, furious rant about the Heavens' Ward being only men and declaring that she could beat all of them in a fight before furiously storming off in order to prove herself right. Seeing the once Warrior become a noticeable Dark Knight (who isn't a Heavens' Ward) might be a good plot hook. Character Lore Adherence I'm not sure how adherent this is.
